Self-Diagnosing Spine Problems: Understanding and Seeking the Best Spine Surgeon in Bangalore
Introduction
The human spine is a remarkable structure that provides support, stability, and flexibility to our bodies. However, due to various factors such as age, lifestyle choices, injuries, and medical conditions, spine problems can occur, leading to pain, discomfort, and reduced quality of life. While self-diagnosing spine problems can be a useful initial step, it is crucial to seek professional medical advice for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. This article aims to shed light on self-diagnosis of spine problems and highlight the best spine surgeon in Bangalore for individuals seeking advanced care and treatment options.
Understanding Self-Diagnosing Spine Problems
Self-diagnosing spine problems involves individuals attempting to identify and understand the potential cause and nature of their back or neck pain. The widespread availability of medical information online and self-assessment tools has empowered people to gather preliminary knowledge about their symptoms. However, it is important to remember that self-diagnosis has limitations and should not replace professional medical evaluation.
Benefits and Limitations of Self-Diagnosis
Self-diagnosis can serve as an initial step to gather information and evaluate possible causes of spine problems. It allows individuals to become more aware of their symptoms and provides a basis for informed discussions with healthcare professionals. However, self-diagnosis has inherent limitations, including the risk of misinterpretation, lack of medical expertise, and potential for anxiety or unnecessary worry. It is essential to approach self-diagnosis with caution and view it as a starting point rather than a definitive diagnosis.
Common Spine Problems and Symptoms
Spine problems can manifest in various ways, each with its own set of symptoms. Some of the most common spine problems include:
Herniated Disc: This condition occurs when the soft cushion-like discs between the vertebrae rupture or bulge, causing pressure on nearby nerves. Symptoms may include localized or radiating pain, numbness, tingling, and muscle weakness.
Spinal Stenosis: Characterized by the narrowing of the spinal canal, spinal stenosis can lead to compression of the spinal cord and nerves. Symptoms often include pain, numbness, weakness, and difficulty walking or maintaining balance.
Scoliosis: Scoliosis refers to an abnormal sideways curvature of the spine. It can cause pain, uneven shoulders or hips, and an asymmetrical appearance of the spine.
Degenerative Disc Disease: As we age, the discs between the vertebrae can undergo wear and tear, leading to degeneration. This can cause chronic pain, stiffness, and reduced flexibility.
Spinal Fractures: Fractures in the spine can result from trauma or osteoporosis. Symptoms may include severe pain, limited mobility, and changes in posture.
The Importance of Consulting a Spine Surgeon
While self-diagnosis can provide a general understanding of spine problems, it is crucial to consult a qualified spine surgeon for accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment options. Spine surgeons are highly specialized medical professionals with expertise in the diagnosis and surgical management of spine conditions. They possess the knowledge, skills, and access to advanced diagnostic tools necessary to evaluate spine problems comprehensively.
Choosing the Best Spine Surgeon in Bangalore
Bangalore, known as the "Silicon Valley of India," boasts a robust healthcare infrastructure with numerous well-equipped hospitals and experienced spine surgeons. When seeking the best spine surgeon in Bangalore, several factors should be considered:
Expertise and Experience: Look for a spine surgeon with extensive experience in treating various spine conditions. Consider their qualifications, training, and specialization in specific areas such as spinal deformity correction, minimally invasive surgery, or complex spine reconstruction.
Reputation and Track Record: Research the surgeon's reputation and track record. Read patient testimonials, seek recommendations from trusted sources, and inquire about their success rates, complication rates, and patient satisfaction levels.
Hospital Infrastructure: Assess the hospital where the surgeon practices. Ensure that the hospital is well-equipped with advanced diagnostic technology, surgical facilities, and a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
Collaborative Approach: A good spine surgeon should adopt a patient-centric approach, involving the patient in the decision-making process and considering non-surgical alternatives before recommending surgery.
Continued Education and Research: A progressive and up-to-date spine surgeon will actively participate in research, attend conferences, and contribute to medical advancements in their field.

argument pt 2?
[here's argument pt 1 (i guess lol); u don't need to read it for this to make sense fully but if u are so inclined & haven't read it yet it might be helpful context.]
//
you don't know what else you expected. upon a very quick reflection — once your brain reorients itself from beatrice is so hot — you realize you were foolish to think anything else, especially not without a discussion. but, still —
'what are you doing?'
it's clear what beatrice is doing, standing with jillian in one of her fancy labs. she's dressed in all black, a t-shirt delightfully tight on her biceps (focus, ava) tucked into loose pants reinforced at the knees, boots that are tougher than normal but lighter than those you would typically wear in combat — ones she prefers when fighting because it allows her quiet, stealth, full range of motion. 'trying on new armor,' she says, and if it was years ago, the spike of anger that starts in your gut and shoots up your spine — anger, and sheer panic — would have set the halo off.
jillian looks between the two of you — your fists clenched; beatrice's arms crossed over her chest — and says, 'well, i'll be looking over some specs in... another room,' and excuses herself.
wisely.
it hits you, all at once, when you look at beatrice — your fiance, your life partner — that, right now, maybe more than ever, she looks like a soldier. it's not been lost on you over the years, not with her nightmares and the quiet, chronic pain she bears with little more than a tender wince some mornings, the way she loses herself after loud noises or too many people in a crowd, her usually steady hands trembling — it's not been lost on your that beatrice has been fighting for a long time.
'you can't seriously be telling me you're not going to stop.'
'i'm fine, ava. i was cleared by my surgeon and my physical therapist to return to all normal activities.'
you're so used to gentleness, now, even with demons to fight on occasion and the lingering affects of a holy war too great to fully comprehend. you're used to beatrice's loose cotton crewnecks you like to steal; the rust-colored linen pants she loves, light in the breeze off the water. you're used to her whining for posterity about couples halloween costumes, her afternoon naps with her kitten purring on her chest softly. you're used to dates she plans meticulously that you don't even try to mess up because she's so intentional with how she loves you, full of thought and care. you're used to your big house on the beach and her laugh in the afternoon, the freckles on her shoulders, her hand in yours.
'i don't understand.' you release your fists with the progressive muscle relaxation you've worked on in therapy, then take a deep breath. 'you — you want to keep fighting?'
you're the one who changed her dressings after surgery, who took her to months and months of painful and slow-going, steady physical therapy. you're the one who washed her short hair with the gentlest hands you could, even that hurting the bone bruise along the back of her skull. you're the one who filled the prescriptions for her pain meds, who held her hand when she woke up. you're the one who loves her the most. you're the one who thought she was going to die.
'i —' she seems at a loss, for a moment, and then, 'it's my duty.'
'your duty?' it comes out shrill; so much for your muscle relaxation. 'beatrice.'
she clenches her jaw.
'you're telling me that you're, what, just fine getting fitted for new armor because your last vest got punctured by shrapnel and almost killed you?'
'ava.' it's a warning, and a tired one — exhausted from over a decade. 'you're still fighting.'
'i don't have a choice.' you hate yelling but you're overwhelmed by the idea of having to go through what you did again and again. 'don't you want — don't you want to choose?'
she swallows and leans back against the counter. 'if i —' she shakes her head.
'bea.'
'i — i can't.'
'i want to live,' you tell her, an echo of one of the first things you knew years and years ago, and her lower lip trembles. 'for so long i have wanted to live so badly, bea.'
'i know.' her voice is laced with unshed tears.
'i — do you want to?'
she sniffles and tilts her head back to look at the ceiling; it's a sure tell she's trying to compose herself but you can see her shaking, holding it in. 'i never thought i would.'
you step toward her, wait until she offers her hand. you lace your fingers together and wait. 'did you want to?'
'i didn't think — i didn't think i deserved to. i didn't think that me living a good life would be nearly as valuable as, well —'
'dying young in a blaze of glory for god?'
it takes her a moment, because it's the hardest thing in the world to hold, this grief, but then she laughs a watery little sound. 'something like that.'
'okay, but — do you want to now?'
it hangs heavy in the air. you know that she goes to therapy faithfully and you've seen her cry multiple times watching the sunset; she touches you like a benediction. but the answer is impossible to come by, sometimes — worthiness, and belief. 'who am i, ava, if not... this?'
you remember a book you'd read a few months ago, one of mary's favorites, that had made you cry often — where does it all lead? what will become of us? these were our young questions, and young answers were revealed. it leads to each other. we become ourselves. it's easy, to kiss the faithful gold band on her ring finger and then take her in your arms, put a protective hand to the back of her head. 'you're a fucking miracle,' you pray into her skin. 'you're the love of my life. you're a genius, and a black belt, and someone who avidly watches reality tv and tennis, only one of which is worthy of that kind of devotion.' you feel her laugh, snotty, into your shoulder. 'you're so pretty, and so handsome, and really funny when you want to be and sometimes even when you don't. you're remarkably forgiving; an incredible friend, a wonderful sister. you're someone who surfs because the ocean is beautiful and you want to see the sunrise. you're a very hot lesbian, and you're my fiance, and you're going to be my wife. you're my life partner. you give the world so much more than it has ever, ever deserved.' you both back up, just so you can look into her eyes. you hold her face in your hands, as gently as you can, run your thumb along a cheekbone, the constellation of freckles there that have bloomed in the sun by the sea. 'you will always serve the world, i know that about you. you're a child of god,' you say. 'you're beatrice.'
it doesn't surprise you when she kisses you gently and then tucks her face into your neck and lets out a full body sob. you rub her back through it, hold her up when her legs grow weak. eventually, as she always does, she calms and composes herself, steps back and dries her tears, runs a hand along her hair. her eyes are red but she takes a deep, steadying breath.
'thank you.'
you kiss her cheek. 'you're also my favorite.'
'now that i do know.'
you grin. 'don't get me wrong, like, fuck the military industrial complex obviously, but this is kind of a look.'
she rolls her eyes but her shoulders settle and then she looks at you seriously. 'i want to live a long life.'
'yeah?'
'so badly.'
'it's a little scary, right?'
she lets out a shaky, honest breath. 'yeah.'
'well, we'll figure it out.' you kiss her, the first of a kind stretching out ahead of you, infinite. 'i have an idea?'
she sighs, and you can't help but laugh.
(you watch her slice a plum on the shore of the lake in the alps you used to train at all those years ago, the lake you knelt down in front of her and she agreed to be your wife. the fruit is juicy and a color you can't quite bring yourself to comprehend: blood, your favorite sangria at the beach, natal dahlias. the house you stay at now — a few quiet days before you head home — is small and gorgeous, with a giant bed and a wall of windows that overlook the mountains. i love you here, you tell her — i love you like this; i love you however you are meant to be — i love you in peacetime, and you watch her slice a plum, the juice red and sticky on her fingers. she puts it to your mouth gently and the taste explodes like a kiss. she smiles and you feed her too; she sucks your finger into her mouth and you close your eyes — there will be time enough to touch her later. the water is calm, and the flowers are in bloom, and the sun shines bright.)

omg i wanna ask about ALL your wip's but if I had to choose which one I'm burning to know more about they would be "wreck the hunter," "void!Theo" and "resurrected Dread Doctors" 👀
The currently untitled post-canon Thiam fic where the Dread Doctors are resurrected and everyone (mostly Theo) has a real bad time.
Every hair on Theo’s body is standing straight up on edge, chills shooting up his spine with every footsteps he hears echoing in the distance.  At his side, Liam stops talking about his math homework, suddenly aware that the chimera’s instincts have kicked into high gear.
“What is it?”
Theo numbly shakes his head without thinking.  The next step he hears is closer, heavier, metallic; overlaid with the clanking of metal and heavy, mechanical breathing.  He’s frozen in place, so much so he can’t move a limb, even when Liam gently pushes.  They know there should be no one in these tunnels.  Theo buried every entrance so no one could get to the Dread Doctors lab.  Even if they were gone, he refused for anyone to follow their directions on creating true evil.
The true evil they tried to corrupt him into.  He never met their goals, never lived up to their expectations.  From the moment he met them, he was a failure.
“Failure.”
Theo’s head snaps up, eyes flaring gold entirely out of his control.  “Did you hear that?”
“Failure.”
By the way fear seeps into Liam’s eyes, he hears it that time.  Without hesitation, he grabs Theo by the arm, giving him the push to shake off the spell and move.  Even then, Liam doesn’t let go, instead drops his hand to clutch Theo’s.  It’s what he needs to keep going, to get out.
“Failure.”
They stop again.  Nausea creeps up to Theo’s throat, every inch of his body burning when he hears a familiar screeching.  Not from where the first two echoes of voices were, but from behind.  Back where they were, where Theo would give anything not to turn back to now.
Liam’s face pinches, almost like he’s in pain.  “What is that noise?”
Theo closes his eyes and lets the sound cloud his senses.  It doesn’t strike him until it becomes loud enough that his ears ring.  He doesn’t open his eyes, desperate to keep tears from falling or from forcing himself to turn to face the darkness.
That screeching haunted his dreams for years.  It led him to the Dread Doctors in the first place, and it’s the sound he came to know as a reminder he did something wrong.  The Surgeon would drag that heavy cane on the ground while he walked, not because he had to, but so Theo would sit in terror, knowing what was coming.
“Oh fuck.”
The tremor in Liam’s voice is what finally gets Theo to clench his jaw, open his eyes and glance over his shoulder.  His body can’t decide whether to throw up, pass out or cry; instead it freezes again.  The hand on his own is the only thing anchoring him to reality.  Liam squeezes gently.
“What do we do?” he murmurs softly.
At the end of the hall, underneath blinking and broken lights are the three figments of Theo’s dark past.  Clad in long dark coats, bronze and metal plated masks, the hissing and whirring of their breathing and movement cutting through the otherwise eerie silence of the tunnels.  In front is The Surgeon, gold inlay of his cane catching the light.  He can feel the phantom graze of the metal as it hits him, over and over and over and-
“Theo, we need to get out of here.”
He tries to release Liam’s hand, but the beta doesn’t let go.  “You have to run, I…”  He can’t seem to tear his gaze from the Dread Doctors; they’re walking slowly, but Theo knows he can’t outrun them.  He’s never been able to.  “I’ll be the bait.”
Liam pulls his hand hard enough to force Theo to turn, looking away from the doctors.  His blue eyes are fierce, jaw clenched.  “You are never being the bait again.  We both make it out of here.”
He takes a step away, to run.  A low rumble stops him dead in his tracks.
“Theo Raeken.”
And with that, he knows the life he fought so hard to get back is over.

How did girls and Charlie handle their periods while on the island? Were there any pads/tampons available? Or was it all lost or in small quantities?
I've thought about this!
First of all, yes I do think there are pads and tamps on the island, as there would have been plenty in assorted luggage. This program just didn't think this needed to be addressed on a show that was about survival for it's first,,, half a season? Indeed, in all of LOST there are two acknowledgements that periods exist:
Claire saying she's late when she's taking a pregnancy test
Kate going from suspecting she's pregnant to being absolutely sure she isn't, implying she got her period
And I suppose in between eps, Sun must have been late for hers in order for her to suspect she was pregnant
Overall, LOST only acknowledges periods when it absolutely has to, and even then is rather hush hush about it
Anyways, I think post crash, Sawyer did his little magpie thing and gathered up everything he could get his greedy hands on. This included period supplies. Then as time went on, more and more ladies came to him for supplies. And this freaked him out, so he was like "oh fuck this" and literally threw the bag of bleedy supplies into Jack's arms. And from then on, it's Jack who's in charge of that. And he's entirely not weird about it, because he's a fucking surgeon
I don't care what goes on in reality, I choose to believe that a man who has literally had his giant hands in people's spine pasta, wouldn't be too bothered by the fact that vaginas expel meat pulp
The first 4 seasons covers 3 and a half months so thats about three periods for every uterus having person on the island. However! There are varying circumstances at play here!
Let's go thru this, character by character:
Shannon: Dies a month and a bit into this, so she had time for one period, maybe two depending on when in the month she has 'em
Claire: She was pregnant until November 20th. So no periods during that time frame. After which, she would have had very heavy post pregnancy bleeding, but not for very long, because the magic of the island would have made her body recover much quicker than regular people. Then she would've continued periods somewhere in december onwards. And for three years she was all on her lonesome but she had access to the survivor's abandoned camp, so she would have used up the last of the bleedy supplies until eventually running out and. free bleeding. Fucking hell
Sun: Got pregnant very early into the survivor's time there. And gave birth after they left. So she had no periods on the island
Kate: Probably had time for a complete three periods, with at least one that she was a little late for
Charlie: Mostly doesn't get periods, like, his are incredibly irregular. This leads to him believe that his T patches make good enough birth control. He is wrong and stupid. So maybe he bled on the island, maybe he didn't. If he did, he would have never in his life asked Sawyer for period supplies. He'll bleed into his crotch socks
Ana Lucia and Libby: Did not have access to the Sawyer and later Jack controlled Period Supplies. Because everything was worse for the tailies. Also I think being shot 4 times in the uterus means Ana Lucia can't get periods anymore. Tho as I typed that I realised the Island could easily fix that. The Island fixed Jin's balls. So there's a thought for ya: Ana Lucia getting periods on the island and being like,,, what the fuck. what the Fuck. cuz that's a literal miracle
Charlotte: Was only on the island for 16 days and I'm gonna be nice and say she wasn't on her period during that time. Because 1. She was bleeding enough and 2. To spare her the indignity of asking for pads from people who don't like her :(
Juliet: Girl lived in a cult commune for 3 years, so she's good. Had time for maybe one period with the losties, and for sure Jack would hold open his jackpack and proudly display the tampies for her
Final notes: Fair to assume Rose is post menopausal. Woe be to Alex when she got her first period, not due to lack of supplies (again, cult commune) but because it made Ben even more insane. Annd finally, pour one out for Danielle Rousseau. 16 x 12 = 192. Give or take
Oh and the dozen or so background ladies of the survivors too. So either there was a lot of supplies or they run out maybe after the second month? I dunno man, either way Sawyer got overwhelmed
Side note: my Mum liked to point out when ladies tummies are bloated in shows because that means the actresses were on their periods (their voices would get a tad whinier too). She did this a lot when we watched LOST. There ain't no rest for the fertile
Tho, if you also wanna be weird and take notice of this, Kate's tummy isn't bloated in season 6 due to period, Evie was literally pregnant
Just some trivia for ya
Thank you for your time

Whumptober Day 14
Law x Reader
Tumblr media
"This way, [Y/n]!" Law directed as he took the lead, turning a corner. "I know it's around here."
"Law, you say that like you know the place," you commented as you tried to keep up with him so you wouldn't fall behind.
"I do," Law confirmed taking another corner turn.
The two of you passed a wall of photos. Among the family portraits, you noticed a little boy who looked like Law standing proudly with the Donquixote family. You look back to your captain, unsure what emotion settles around your shoulders.
"I used to be a part of their crew," Law told you, not daring to glance in your direction. "I was a monster just like them. Doflamingo wanted me to be his successor, he raised me to be a monster, and at the time I wanted to follow that path. By some miracle, I was pulled from that life." Law slowed down when you passed a wall of hearts, you could see how he gazed at a portrait of a blond man with jester makeup. "I owe my life to the man who saved me from that hell, if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have been able to save you and Bepo."
"Law..." Your heart grew soft, fond of your captain, tears filled in your eyes.
"I heard them pass by here, get them!"
Footsteps echoed after you. The enemy found your trail and was now gaining. You could feel the edge you were running along.
"Don't worry, [Y/n]-ya, I'll get you out of here. " Law's words were beginning to sound as if they were his last.
Other elements started to disappear, your focus remained on Law. Your gut eating at your mind, saying something wasn't right. You caught sight of sweat dripping down your captain, it wasn't like him to lose composure. Worry crept inside your mind, yet just as fear got ready to send chills down your spine, Law stopped in his tracks.
"This is it!" Law walked up to a large painting of Doflamingo sitting on a throne and holding little Law by the shoulder. The surgeon removed the portrait and settled down next to where it once hung, there revealed was a vault door. He spun it open before turning and gesturing for you to get in. "Go on, I'll be right behind you."
"Are you sure?" You glance between him and the secret tunnel. "Shouldn't you-"
"I thought I saw them go this way!" The footsteps grew louder.
"There's no time." Law looked at you with urgency.
Knowing how much sand was running out, you didn't bother arguing and climbed in. It seemed small but you had enough room to turn around. You started crawling forward only to hear the sound of a door closing. You whip your head to the exit, Law nowhere in sight.
"LAW!" You called going back and banging on the door.
"I'm sorry, [Y/n]-ya."
"What are you doing? You idiot, you still need to get inside."
"This door... can only be closed from the outside," Law stated. "I know... from experience..."
You didn't have to see him to know the pained expression he wore. You placed your hand on the door, wanting to feel his warmth one last time, yet you were only met with cold metal.
"Law... you'll come back, right?"
Cora-san... you'll come back, right?
"I'll meet you in Zou. Now get out of here."
You heard the painting being put back in place, followed by the extra footsteps stopping.
"There! It's Law!" a man yelled.
"Come get me if you can morons!" Law provoked and you heard him beginning to run.
"Why you-!"
Shots fired, and the noises blurred together. You could hardly make sense of the events unfolding. Slowly the sounds grew distant, you could hardly hear the blasting guns. Just as you decided to turn to head down the tunnel, you heard one final sound.
The cry of your captain.

Mise en Place - A "choose your own adventure" style fic - Part 2
Tumblr media
Fandom: Punisher AU Rating: Likely Explicit. Pairing: Billy Russo x OC Warnings: Dark!Fic, threats, murder, obsession, swearing, violence, and likely more to be added... Summary: Nadine thought her biggest problem was helping to keep the restaurant she worked at afloat as the neighbourhood starts being bought out from under them. A chance meeting in an elevator with an old fling proves differently…
Notes: And so, we begin! Heed the warnings! This chapter is not rated explicit but others will be. Your choice is at the bottom! Enjoy!
Part 1
Tumblr media
Shit. Shit shit shit.
Nadine is not stupid. She knows by the way Billy would avoid talking about his work that it was suspect, but they were only hooking up and he was a fantastic lay so she had ignored it. Now he’s standing next to her with blood on his clothes. It’s not like he can claim to have just come from the butcher’s or just taken a meat delivery, nor is he a surgeon. She’s seen him wield a knife when he put together a post-coital snack for them at his place. Terrible chopping and dicing but efficient at handling it nonetheless. Just not in the same way a surgeon or a chef is.
She gives him a soft smile without making eye contact, ignoring the blaring warning sign in the back of her head and turns away from him. The awkward tension in the air could easily be explained by their former…whatever it was. Hookup? Fling?
“Nadine,” he finally greets her, his voice a low purr. It’s enough to send a shiver up her spine if she didn’t think there was a warning attached to it.
“Billy,” she says, turning back to face the door. She can see his reflection in it and the way his gaze doesn’t leave her.
“Long day?” he asks.
“Very.” The doors open and she leaves first. “Have a good night!” She moves quickly, trying to ignore the way she’s focused on the sound of his steps behind her. They live in the same hall. It only makes sense, but she feels like a prey animal trying not to run from a predator. She doesn’t want to make him think she realized anything, but she also does not want to remain alone with him longer than necessary. Not until she can figure out a rational way to explain it…and maybe consider moving. Never mind. With the way rent was increasing in the places around her and the struggle to keep the restaurant afloat, she’d never make it. She’ll just have to hope that he thinks she’s too tired...for the rest of her life.
She is keenly aware of the quiet way he gets to his door and how he doesn’t seem to open it until she finds her keys.
“Good night, Nadine,” he says. His voice echoes slightly down the hall.
She waves without looking and finally forces her lock open. When she closes the door behind her, she does up every lock and bolt before leaning on it, finally getting the chance to catch her breath. “Shit,” she mutters. She takes a deep breath before dropping her keys in the small dish on the stand next to her door. As long as she– The floorboard in her kitchen creaks.
Nadine pauses. The tension that had just begun to ebb comes roaring back, making her sway on her feet.
Someone is in her apartment. She takes a second to glance, to make sure that she wasn’t just being paranoid after the elevator but the shadow moves slightly in the corner that’s reflected off of her framed movie poster of Gaslight at the end of the entryway. It’s not Billy, considering she entered her place before him…so who’s here?
Another slow creak, the annoying floorboard by her fridge, a familiar shame to her late-night snacking. Are they trying to surprise her as she leaves the hall? Why? She mentally runs over anyone with a grudge but aside from her sort of ex next door who she just saw, there’s no one who’d want to break in. Unless it was a thief, but she didn’t have anything worth stealing…did she? Well, aside from her knives that she totes to and from work.
She clutches her bag as she shifts to face the figure stepping into the short entryway in front of her.
It’s a large man, gaunt and flecked with burn scars and looking like he was there with an unpleasant purpose. She doesn’t see any weapon on him.
“What are you doing in my house?”
“Waiting for you, Nadine.” He grins and steps forward….

Eternal Yesterday Ep 2 Stray Thoughts
Last time we had what felt like a short film from the last 30 years about an antisocial boy being adopted by an extrovert who looked at him and said, "Mine," only for said extrovert to die suddenly at the end to save the antisocial boy.
It was jarring, because I didn't read the description fully and just accepted that I was watching every MBS production. I'm curious to see where the supernatural goes in this show.
I tell ya, this intro did not prepare me either for one of them to become a corpse.
At least the truck driver is doing the right thing and calling for medical assistance.
Oh no I am going to become obsessed with this show, and will probably revolt if it ends unsatisfyingly. Koichi waking up, chiding Mitsuru for wasting the ambulance before standing up and crunching his bones to shove his body back into place is a level of grotesque I've not seen applied this way to BL.
Maybe it's because we have a ghost show running right now, but I'm getting extremely emotional about recontextualizing undeath as a form of devotion, and this is going to play out in the next D&D Life or Grave cleric I play.
It's Mitsuru going to Koichi's friends and enlisting them in the plan to protect Koichi from being taken from them. Does this zombie state allow Koichi to continue a goal of helping Mitsuru make more friends? Or is this a way of exploring the grief of losing the person most important to you and processing learning to let them go?
Are the teachers in their own romantic drama? Keeping an eye on Ogawa- and Tamaki-sensei.
I think I like the choice to show all of the bruises and signs of internal damage. Komiya Rio has a nice body, so we need to not just let the audience unabashedly enjoy looking at him. Again, grotesqueness is going to be an ongoing theme, I hope.
Huge fan of the choice to present Yamada to the class and build support for keeping him in the community.
There's absolutely no way Yamada Koichi survived the impact with that truck. Beyond his spine being snapped, the gash on his leg eould have led to extreme blood loss.
And now Koichi isn't hungry at all.
I wonder if we'll return to the family drama later. Mitsuru knew of his father's affair and blackmailed the mistress to get an examination. Does his mom also know?
I'm quite fascinated by the differences in how storytelling traditions choose to value the mechanics of the supernatural. I've noticed that Korean shows and movies care less about the mechanics of the supernatural beyond how they impact the emotional decisions of the characters. The Japanese stories I've encountered seem much more concerned with understanding why something is happening.
Dr. Kasumi's theory that Koichi's body is now stuck in time definitely makes me think this is going to be a story about grief. Koichi's body is stuck at the moment of death perhaps like Mitsuru's mind?
Koichi encouraging Mitsuru to become a surgeon: Does this also tie into unsticking something else in him?
Oh my goodness a camping trip? Was this the past?? Because so many gay things happen in tents. I won't link the Jonnor scene again, but for those of you who know, know that I am seeing you and kissing you on the forehead. (Gosh, now I want to make a list of movies and tv shows where gay things happen in tents.)

• Name: Romy "Ro" Cho Naga-Blackthorn • Class: The Gambini • Age: 30 • Backgrounds: Flesh Wound • LIs: too many oops •
• character tag • inspo tag • ro's ROs •
Adopted by Michelle Cho and Ira Cohen as a baby, Ro spent her life trailing behind her renowned vascular surgeon of a mother at the various hospitals she worked within. While most kids were learning to tie their shoes, Ro was practicing sutures at the nurse's station with her aunt Esther and sitting in galleries watching her mother perform complex surgeries. There was never any doubt in her mind what she wanted to do when she grew up, despite her parents' slight disapproval: Ro was a surgeon, or at least she was damn sure going to work her ass off to be.
She worked her ass off to excel throughout her biomedical engineering undergrad degree and later through med school, also working a full time content creation job to pay for both her transition and her schooling.
Throughout her residency, she went back and forth on what specialty she would choose. What she truly loved working with was nerves, which could have gone a few ways - plastics, neuro, ortho, etc. Eventually, she settled into being double certified in ortho and neuro (specifically, pediatric neuro), loving the challenge and specializing in spines and nerves.
Notable Abilities
Not particularly gifted in magic, but can pick up on it easily once it is done to her. Therefore, she's picked up a few tricks from those around her, including Machado's prophetic dreams.
Has never met a mechanical device that she couldn't fix.
Literally a brain surgeon who sometimes teams up with one of her wives to operate on fetuses' spines.
Holds a world record in DDR and a few in assorted video game speed runs.
Uses 3D design combined with her knowledge of biomechanics to make fully articulated TTRPG minis. What, like it's hard?
Connections
Ward Easton - her bestie since residency
Claire Berkowitz (of the Berkowitz family dental dynasty) - bestie since they became roomies in med school, absolutely inseparable and codependent
Yardena Cohen aka Gigi Coco - her grandmother on her father's side and her biggest cheerleader; might be a former ecoterrorist who knows
Isidora Jacinto - her long lost biological little sister who is, uh, far too much like her in every way and is WAY too close to beating her DDR record
Misc
Japanese and Filipina, though she was raised by her Jewish father and Korean mother

Breast Reduction Surgery - Important Points About the Procedure
Tumblr media
Breast reduction surgery in Delhi is one of the most popular procedures today. Indicated to take care of problems caused by very large breasts, such as back and spine pain, reduction mammoplasty relieves these complications, providing a more comfortable size for the woman. Breast reduction surgery also has the benefit of a healthier, younger, and symmetrical appearance.
Frequently asked questions about breast reduction surgery
Talking about the most recurrent approaches and questions about breast reduction surgery, in an attempt to guide more people who are interested in the subject and are curious to know how the reduction mammoplasty procedure works .
First of all, the woman who wants to undergo breast reduction surgery in East Delhi must be within her ideal weight, so that the result is harmonious in relation to her figure. In addition, weight variation can interfere with the shape of the breasts. The breast is formed mainly by glands and fatty tissue. The glands do not grow back after breast reduction surgery, but the fat can build up again if the patient has gained weight.
Breastfeeding after reduction mammoplasty
One of the most frequently asked questions to plastic surgeon in Noida is whether it is possible to breastfeed after breast reduction surgery?
In some extreme cases, called gigantomastia, in which it is necessary to remove the nipple completely to reposition it, breastfeeding may be impaired. Fortunately, in the vast majority of cases, breastfeeding normally follows breast reduction surgery. This is because the glands are not completely removed in the procedure, and the woman is still able to produce milk.
Time is also an important factor in this regard. In general, the more time that has passed after breast reduction surgery, the easier lactation will be. Therefore, it is necessary to inform the best plastic surgeon in Noida of the desire to have children, in this way, he will choose the most appropriate surgical technique. For women who have children, breastfeeding should be stopped at least two months before surgery.
Can I lose sensation after breast reduction surgery?
Another important point is sensitivity. Many women fear losing it after breast reduction surgery. Because of the changes that the breasts undergo after a procedure like this, it is common for some change in sensitivity to occur. But it is rare that this effect is definitive. In most cases, the loss of sensitivity is more intense at the beginning and tends to decrease over the first six months, until it returns completely to normal.
How is the postoperative period of reduction mammoplasty?
The postoperative period of breast reduction surgery is a moment of extreme importance. It is essential that the patient correctly follows all the surgeon’s instructions for this step, especially rest. The return to work and the resumption of physical activities can only be authorized by the best plastic surgeon in East Delhi.
In addition, it is necessary to respect the correct way of sleeping, sitting and moving in the first days after the surgery. Such care is essential for the healing and recovery of the patient.
Finally, it is always good to remember that the conversation with the plastic surgeon in East Delhi and the clarification of all doubts are essential to obtain a successful plastic surgery, in addition to also respecting the needs of the postoperative period of the breast reduction surgery, thus helping to ensure better results.

Elevator Cobb
What is a Cobb Elevator?
The Cobb Elevator is a specialized surgical instrument designed primarily for orthopedic and spinal procedures. It has a broad, flat, and sturdy blade, usually rounded or slightly pointed, which is attached to a long handle. The blade allows surgeons to perform a variety of tasks, such as lifting and dissecting tissues, separating muscles from bones, and manipulating the periosteum during surgery. Its ergonomic design provides surgeons with precise control, making it an indispensable tool in surgeries that require the careful handling of bone and soft tissue.
Tumblr media
Key Features of the Cobb Elevator
Several design elements make the Cobb Elevator a favored tool in many surgical disciplines:
1. Flat, Sturdy Blade
The Cobb Elevator is known for its flat, durable blade, which can vary in width depending on the specific model. The blade is designed to lift and manipulate tissues without causing trauma, allowing surgeons to separate muscle and soft tissue from bone cleanly and efficiently.
2. Rounded or Pointed Tip
Cobb Elevators are available with either rounded or pointed tips, depending on the surgical application. The rounded tip is ideal for gently lifting or scraping periosteum and muscle tissue, while the pointed tip provides more precision for dissecting smaller or harder-to-reach areas.
3. Ergonomic Handle
The long, ergonomic handle of the Cobb Elevator provides surgeons with excellent control and leverage during procedures. The handle is designed to reduce hand fatigue, allowing surgeons to use the instrument comfortably throughout long operations. This is particularly important in complex spinal or orthopedic procedures where precision and endurance are required.
4. Variety of Sizes
Cobb Elevators come in various sizes, allowing surgeons to choose the appropriate instrument based on the surgical area and specific procedure. Smaller sizes are used for more delicate dissections, while larger sizes are useful for lifting or manipulating larger areas of bone and tissue.
Common Uses of the Cobb Elevator in Surgery
The Cobb Elevator is primarily used in orthopedic and spinal surgeries, but its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of procedures. Here are some of the most common applications:
1. Spinal Surgery
One of the primary uses of the Cobb Elevator is in spinal surgery. Surgeons use the instrument to separate the periosteum from the vertebrae and to lift or scrape away bone in preparation for spinal fusion, decompression, or other spinal procedures. Its strong, flat blade allows surgeons to manipulate the spine’s structures with precision and minimal trauma.
2. Orthopedic Surgery
In orthopedic surgery, the Cobb Elevator is frequently used to separate muscles and soft tissues from bones. It is especially valuable in procedures involving the hip, knee, and other joints, where it helps expose bones for treatment, repair, or reconstruction. The Cobb Elevator's flat blade is ideal for safely lifting the periosteum without damaging surrounding tissues.
3. Fracture Repair
The Cobb Elevator is often used in fracture repair surgeries to lift or manipulate bone fragments. Surgeons can use the instrument to carefully elevate bone fragments, making it easier to align and stabilize them during fixation or internal hardware placement.
4. Tumor Removal
In cases where tumors are present on or near the bone, the Cobb Elevator can be used to dissect and separate soft tissues from the bone, allowing for the careful removal of the tumor without causing damage to the surrounding tissues.
5. Dissection and Exposure
The Cobb Elevator is commonly used for dissecting and exposing bone surfaces during surgery. Its flat blade can be used to scrape and lift tissue layers, providing the surgeon with a clear and accessible view of the surgical site.
Benefits of Using High-Quality Cobb Elevators
Using high-quality Cobb Elevators is crucial for achieving precision, control, and safety during surgical procedures. Here’s why choosing well-made instruments is essential:
1. Tissue Protection
The Cobb Elevator’s rounded or flat blade is designed to minimize trauma to soft tissues while providing the necessary strength to separate or lift muscle and periosteum. High-quality instruments ensure that tissue is handled gently and efficiently, reducing the risk of complications.
2. Enhanced Durability
Surgical instruments must endure multiple uses and sterilization cycles without compromising their performance. High-quality Cobb Elevators are made from durable stainless steel that is corrosion-resistant and retains its sharpness and structural integrity over time, ensuring that the instrument remains effective for repeated surgeries.
3. Precision Control
A well-designed Cobb Elevator offers the surgeon optimal control over the instrument’s movements. This control is essential when dissecting tissues near delicate structures, such as the spinal cord or nerves, where precision is paramount.
4. Ergonomic Comfort
High-quality Cobb Elevators are designed with ergonomics in mind, providing a comfortable grip and balanced weight. This allows surgeons to use the instrument for extended periods without experiencing hand fatigue, improving the overall efficiency of the procedure.
Proper Care and Maintenance of Cobb Elevators
To ensure the longevity and performance of Cobb Elevators, proper care and maintenance are essential. Here are some key tips for maintaining these instruments:
Regular Cleaning: After each use, the instrument should be thoroughly cleaned to remove any blood, tissue, or debris.
Sterilization: Follow appropriate sterilization procedures to prevent corrosion and ensure the instrument remains safe for reuse.
Inspection: Regularly inspect the Cobb Elevator for signs of wear, damage, or dullness, and replace the instrument if necessary to avoid compromising surgical outcomes.
Conclusion: The Importance of Cobb Elevators in Modern Surgery
The Cobb Elevator is a versatile and essential instrument in orthopedic and spinal surgeries, providing surgeons with the ability to lift, scrape, and manipulate tissues with precision. Whether used in delicate spinal procedures or complex orthopedic surgeries, the Cobb Elevator ensures that surgeons can perform their tasks with confidence, control, and minimal tissue trauma. At Grey Medical, we offer high-quality Cobb Elevators that are designed for durability, precision, and ergonomic comfort.
