1. Favorite brother?

≫ This probably comes with no surprises, but Mammon, hands down.  He is,, baby.  And he cares so much, and I’m a sucker for someone who can’t hide the fact that they care.

Levi and Satan finish up my top three, because they are,, once again,, baby.

2. Least favorite brother?

≫ Lucifer is,, not baby.  Don’t get me wrong, I do love him, and I love his room for character growth, but until he stops regressing and sits in front of a mirror and.  I don’t know.  Reflects on his traumas and obvious buried depression.  Opens up about it instead of trying to control absolutely everything to cope with his perceived lack of control in the things that matter.  Listen Lucifer I ADORE YOU but also we would butt heads and you can be really annoying because of that.  (Ngl tho this event’s devilgram story for him did him at least a few favors.)

14. Most prized card?

≫ Pandas mean profit, because it was my first UR Mammon card, I spent too much money to get it, it’s got a great devilgram story, the texts are pretty nice, and it’s deflowered version has ABS.  CROP TOP CHONGSAM MAMMON.

Although it can be quite annoying, at this part I also have a soft spot for Resentment Runs Deep.

31. Any ideas for future events?

≫ Listen I really want an event where they focus on the fact that they’re in school.  The colors paint run kind of leans towards it, but like... where’s the sports festival event??  The culture festival event??  I’m definitely biased because I want to see Demon culture vs Celestial culture vs whatever human culture MC has.  But like, if we’re gonna be in school let us be in school.

I also want to see an event next year where they have to deal with Setsubun (the Japanese demon expelling festival) lmao.  Or some classic filler episodes like beach day and power outage.

Just got my order of Barbie clothes from seller sellyougood on Ali Express!!! For around $20 total, I got the red pants + sweatershirt, black pants + coat, beautiful soft stretchy chongsam, flowery bathing suit, strawberry pants, a Licca head (not pictured), PLUS a bonus red chongsam and four pairs of Barbie shoes! The two piece outfits are very well made; they're official Liv doll clothes and actually have the Spin Master tags on them. As far as I can tell, the bathing suit is identical to the real Barbie one. The seller was very nice; they messaged me to let me know they were on vacation and would be a little late sending out the package but it still came quick for being from China! Anyway, if you need some nice Barbie-sized stuff that isn't just pink or dresses, this is a nice option. Everything fits great except the black pants I have on petite Barbie; they're kind of small and barely fit on her. I also included a photo of curvy Barbie in the sweatshirt because it looks so cute on her. I NEED JEANS FOR CURVY BARBIE NOW, THOUGH!!!

Spotlight: East Meets Dress Takes Wedding Fashion in New Direction

Weddings offer an opportunity for couples to showcase their unique style, while also pulling in important aspects of their heritage and culture. Sometimes, it can be tough to mesh the old with the new. But East Meets DressEast Meets Dress wants to help Asian American brides tow that line.

Vivian Chan and Jenn Qiao launched the business when they personally experienced a gap in the industry. So they set out to solve the problem for future brides. Read all about their journey in this week’s Small Business Spotlight.

What the Business Does

Sells Chinese wedding dresses with a modern twist.

Vivian Chan told Small Business Trends, “East Meets Dress is the first fashion company to modernize Chinese wedding dresses (known as cheongsams or qipaos) for Asian-American women and bring more representation and inclusion to the traditional wedding industry.

“In addition to our modern Chinese wedding dresses, we also have a collection of men’s outfits, dress accessories, wedding favors, and mother of the bride/groom dresses.”

Business Niche

Mixing modern and tradition.

Chan says, “If I had to pick an area that East Meets Dress (EMD) is known for, it would be our modern designs. That’s our bread and butter and the reason why we wanted to create EMD in the first place–to allow you to celebrate your culture in style.”

How the Business Got Started

Based on Jenn’s experience as a bride.

Chan explains, “She wanted to honor her culture on her wedding day but struggled to find a modern wedding cheongsam that allowed her to celebrate her culture in style. The options were limited to sketchy online sites that she never heard back from or only a few styles and sizes in Chinatown. As her Maid of Honor and best friend, we decided to start East Meets Dress to help other brides around the world solve this problem.”

Biggest Win

Seeing the impact of their business on loved ones.

Chan says that one of the company’s defining moments was when friends purchased chongsams from the site. They didn’t realize that Chan and Qiao owned it. They just heard about it from another friend.

Biggest Risk

Bootstrapping the business.

Chan recognized that bootstrapping leads to slower growth. She also said they constantly had to reinvest money back into the business rather than turning s profit.

She added, “Nonetheless, bootstrapping East Meets Dress definitely made my co-founder and I better entrepreneurs.”

Lesson Learned

Variety is important.

Chan explains, “When we initially launched with one dress, we naively thought that we already understood the tastes and preferences of all Asian-American brides. Based on our own personal experiences, we initially believed that every bride would want something very modern for her Chinese wedding dress.”

However, they soon realized that some others still wanted traditional designs. But other retailers were not meeting their needs for other reasons. So EMD stepped in for those brides as well.

How They’d Spend an Extra $100,000

Setting up physical retail options.

Chan adds, “One of the most common questions we get asked as an online only e-commerce brand is whether we have a physical storefront to try on dresses before purchasing. While we do currently offer a sample kit of dresses to mail to them, if we had an extra $100,000, we would use it to launch pop-up shops and trunk shows nationwide to provide our brides with the in-person experience they want and allow them to see our dresses and styles in person.”

Team Tradition

Wheel of wins.

Chan explains, “Starting a business is not glamorous so it’s important to celebrate the little wins whenever you can. For us, we made a “Wheel of wins” filled with ‘fun exercises’ to do (i.e. dance to a Beyonce song, do 10 burpees) that we spin each time we make a new customer’s dress. Since we don’t have too much time to always go to the gym, this also serves as our workout for the day.”

SPORTOURISM – Kebudayaan Cina sudah cukup lama di kenal di Indonesia. Berbagai jenis pernak-pernik, pakaian, bahasa atau kesenian lainnya mungkin sudah di kenal cukup luas. Bila Sahabat sporto ingin mengetahui lebih banyak tentang bangunan atau hal lainnya dari kebudayaan Cina, salah satu tempat yang bisa dikunjungi adalah Kampung Cina Cibubur, yang tepatnya berada di Komplek Perumahan Kota Wisata, Kecamatan Gunung Putri, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat.

Untuk menuju Kampung Cina, Sahabat Sporto akan melewati deretan rumah-rumah mewah dengan ciri khas dari berbagai negara. Ada Kampung Indonesia, Kampung Jepang, Kampung Amerika, Kampung Eropa, Fantasy Island (Recreation Center) serta tempat yang lain. Ada pula taman-taman dengan patung-patung unik yang khas seperti patung liberty, orang Indian dan patung lainnya.

Sahabat Sporto akan temukan pintu masuk Kampung China bertuliskan Gerbang Kemakmuran dengan 2 buah patung besar membawa pedang serta obor, dengan penuh hiasan lampion merah.  Dari pertama masuk gerbang Kampung China, anda telah di suguhi beragam macam pernak-pernik, aksesori, tas-fashion serta bermacam mainan anak-anak oleh sebagian took atau kios.

Yang paling banyak di jual adalah baju chongsam (baju merah dengan kerah dan kancing khas orang Tionghoa), payung, tas, dompet dengan bordiran khas Cina, patung-patung untuk pajangan dan pernak-pernik lainnya. Tetapi, ada pula kios-kios yang menjual topi atau tas yang tidak bernuansa negeri Cina.

Barang yang di jual antara satu kios dengan kios yang lain tidak jauh berbeda. Harga yang ditawarkan juga hampir sama dan tidak bisa di tawar terlalu banyak. Para penjual di sini tidak memanfaatkan keadaan dengan mematok harga yang terlalu tinggi. Mungkin inilah sebabnya, masih banyak orang yang senang untuk berbelanja di sini. Anda bisa membeli pernak-pernik yang unik dengan harga yang tidak terlalu mahal.

Ada pula patung orang-orang Cina lengkap dengan pakaian dan rambut layaknya yang dipakai di Cina. Selain itu terdapat jembatan dengan sungai dibawahnya dan ikan mas. Tempat ini memang dibuat menyerupai negeri tirai bambu. Sepanjang perjalanan, terdapat kursi-kursi dari batu dan patung-patung lainnya sehingga nuansa perkampungan Cina tetap terasa.

Pada bagian belakang kawasan Kampung Cina terdapat danau dengan sepeda air berbentuk bebek serta perahu motor yang akan mengajak Sahabat Sporto berkeliling di atas air danau. Kurang lebih 1 perahu ini dapat menampung 12 orang. Ada pula kawasan yang disebut "Fantasy Island" di mana terdapat replika dinosaurus yang besar. Ini dapat menjadi tempat favorit untuk anak-anak. Bila Sahabat Sporto merasa lapar, ada pula kios-kios yang menjual makanan untuk mengisi perut anda.

Pada saat-saat tertentu, kawasan Kampung Cina menyediakan hiburan yang tetap khas dari negeri Cina, misalnya pertunjukan barongsai yang menarik perhatian. Sedangkan untuk kampung lainnya cukup sepi, banyak kios yang tutup sehinngga pengunjungnya semakin sedikit. Untuk masuk ke Kampung Cina tidak dipungut bayaran, hanya saja bila Sahabat Sporto ingin masuk ke Fantasy Land, naik sepeda air atau perahu motor, anda harus menyiapkan uang lebih untuk mengunjunginya.
