jeno notices the other guys lips turn up into an evil smirk briefly before his eyes are back on jeno. “who’s this?”

“oh yeah sure! i’ve got to go. i’m working out by the depots for this race.” the man smirks and waves at jeno as he backs away.

jeno keeps you in his arms as he watches the other walk away. when jeno finally lets go of you, jaemin and matthew are already gripping your shoulders.

“y/n, are you okay?” matthew asks, his eyebrows furrowed as his eyes scan over your face. “as good as i can be at the moment.” you shrug and smile at him.

“what the fuck is he doing here?” jaemin spits out quietly as he looks at jeno almost angrily.

“he said he’s working depot tonight.”

“ladies and gentlemen! welcome to the dandy ranges sprints!” jisung’s voice is heard over speakers all across the venue.

“tonight’s race is zhong chenle against shen ricky!”

cheers erupt from all around you. you sip on your drink again before jaemin whips around to jeno again, his face twisted in horror.

“chenle!” he shouts. jeno mumbles a quiet ‘fuck’ before the two of them are sprinting towards chenle’s safe zone.

matthew and you watch in confusion as the two run as fast as they can.

“let the sprint begin!” jisung says loudly, the sound of a spark gun going off in the distance is heard before the screeching of tires.

you and matthew make your way towards the barricade just in time to see both ricky and chenle turn a corner.

the two of them neck and neck.

but it doesn’t last long, as they both round the corner ricky gets the upper hand and speeds off. noticing chenle twisting his break in a scared haste.

his head snaps towards you and matthew, his hand reaches out and gestures for you both to move away.

you both barely make it out of the way in time before chenle, and his bike come skidding and crashing into the barricade you were just at.

your eyes widen before your running towards him. “chenle!” you scream, and kneel down next to him.

ricky skids to a halt and comes screaming back down the track. he kicks his stand down and runs to chenle while taking his helmet off.

ricky makes quick work to take chenle’s helmet off. “ah fuck!” chenle screams as soon as his helmet is off.

“someone fucked with my bike!” he growls in pain, and grips his left arm tightly.

you look over to his bike you notice that both his throttle and brake had been tampered with, his brake being the worst.

“someone cut his brake.” you say quietly to ricky. ricky’s eyebrows furrow before he’s looking at the cut cord.

“we know who it was, bastard isn’t here anymore.” jaemin huffs as he drops down next to chenle.

“is it just your arm?” jeno asks chenle. chenle growls in pain but nods his head.

jeno bends down and picks chenle up, chenle stands on his feet and hisses as he and jeno begin walking towards the cars.

chenle limps away while holding his arm tightly. “wait! why can’t you call the ambulance?” matthew asks as you and him run after him.

“this is an illegal race, he’d get arrested.” jeno grunts.

“wait let me take him, my car is right there.” you point at your car which was conveniently right next to where jeno and chenle were standing.

“are you okay with that?” jeno asks chenle. “i don’t care, just get me to the fucking hospital.” chenle almost roars.

jeno’s eye twitches at chenle’s attitude but nods. “thank you so much y/n. i owe you.”

you smile and unlock your car, assuming he can’t sit up properly without being in pain you opened the back door and let jeno place him down on the bed set up you have in the back seats.

“i have one seat, so whoever can join me.” you say and get into your car. jeno follows behind you quickly and hops into your passenger side.

you start your car and drive away as soon as jeno closes his door. “hold on tight, we’re gonna make it to the hospital in 8 minutes.” you smirk as jeno looks at you with comically wide eyes.

“the hospital is at least 20 minutes away!”

“i might not be good on a bike. but i took the survival lessons while they were still legal here.”

jeno opens his mouth to speak but chokes on air as soon as your car hit the road and felt like it was flying through traffic.

“i’m gonna be sick.” chenle gags. jeno whips his head towards chenle and notices how pale he had gotten.

“we’re almost there lele.” jeno says softly.
