bomin doesn't let you go. most mornings, he does, reluctantly, but this morning is special because neither of you have to work. so when you get up to go, well, anywhere, he's catching you by the wrist and pulling you back into his arms. he's too tired to be awake this early, and if he's too tired, then he knows you are, too. such is the life of two people who try to sleep in whenever they can (he thinks you're his perfect match sometimes because of it).

"no." he's grinning, pressing a kiss against the side of your face. he's as little more awake than he wants to be, but he'll doze right back off when you're cuddling with him.

and you just mumble incoherently, drawing up his hand from where his fingertips have grazed your collarbone so that you can kiss the side of it. "i'll be right back," you murmur, untangling yourself from him.

he sighs, and lets you go before curling back up. yet it takes more than a few minutes, and by the time he lifts his head, he sees you carrying a bag with tissue paper crinkling a little inside of it. the mattress dips underneath your weight as you crawl back in, dropping it in front of him.

and he just picks it up, dropping it right onto the nightstand. "later." he says, opening his arms up. "let's go back to sleep."

"but--" you pout, but it doesn't last long. with a sigh, you move under the blankets again, slowly snuggling into his embrace. "fine. but you have to act extra impressed for me."

he snorts just a little, and kisses your skin one more time before shutting his eyes. "i will."

but he feels the way you smile against his own skin, pressing your own tiny kiss against his neck. "happy birthday, my bomin."

Hello, I'm Choi Bomin of Golden Child.

First of all, I'd like to tell you my story because I'm very careful to all of you who have been with me for a long time, and to Goldenness who must have been surprised by this news the most, but I hope my heart will be conveyed a little bit.

Starting as a trainee at Woollim Entertainment in 2015, 7 years have passed since I first met Goldenness in front of the public on August 28, 2017, and I'm celebrating today at the age of 25.

For the past seven years, when I didn't know it would go to the end, Goldenness was always on my side and always supported me, so I think I received the time and moments that felt like a dream as a gift.

Thank you for giving me an unforgettable memory until the end of my life. I also sincerely thank Goldenness once again for making me a person who is lacking a lot and receiving enough love. And I would like to thank Lee Jung-yeop, CEO of Woollim Entertainment, for choosing me as a 16-year-old who didn't know anything and was lacking, and for allowing me to live as Choi Bo-min who is standing in front of you right now. From the beginning to the middle, he was like a father to this day, and I think I was able to become the person I am today. Thank you so much again for growing me right and raising me.

I think it was possible because of the precious members and their support who were always on the same side with me in this moment. Dae Yeol, Sung Yoon, Jang Jun, Young Taek, Seung Min, Jae Hyun, Ji Beom, Dong Hyun, and Joo Chan, who have been together for 9 years, were all happy because they were older.

I'm telling you consistently, I was able to be happier as the youngest of Golden Child because they taught me one by one, waited for me, and took care of me as the youngest member of the team.

I'm always rooting for each and every one of our brothers, no matter what the moment is, and I'm always grateful. Today is a moment when I am opening a new door that I am still unfamiliar with, but with the love and support I have received, I will greet you in a better way and try harder. Once again, I sincerely thank Goldenness and Woollim Entertainment's family who spent their youth with me and each and every precious person I met. We will greet you with better performances and news as soon as possible.
