#choco wafer cookie

So I have two ideas for Choco Wafer (new name still pending), the purecacao kid, and I’m not sure which I like more, so I’ll list them out

Option 1: she was at the Dark Cacao Kingdom when the Dark Flour War ended, and she grew up there with her father and half brother. She eventually went to Parfaedia to study magic (because Pure Vanilla studied it) and eventually decided to permanently move there sometime before Dark Choco left to find the SJS. She currently works as a professor at Parfaedia and she’s also completely unaware of all the Dark Choco drama, possibly due to someone interfering with the letters Dark Cacao and Choco Wafer send each other (likely Affogato)

Option 2: she was at the Vanilla Kingdom at the end of the war, and fled on the airship with the rest of the Vanillians. Dark Cacao is unaware of the fate of the Vanillians and thinks she died. She grows up in the Creme Republic, though probably not as its ruler since she’d be a young child during its founding and the nobles decide to make a republic instead, though she probably plays some role in the politics. When she’s older she learns that Dark Cacao and his kingdom are still alive and chooses to venture to her father’s kingdom. This is around the time Dark Choco goes looking for the SJS and she ends up meeting him, and they team up, unaware they’re siblings (Choco Wafer may find out, but chooses to not say because she doesn’t know how he’d react. All he knows is she’s from the surviving Vanillians and she recently found out that her Cacaoian parent might still be around)

Option 2 messes with the timeline more, as CW’s inclusion would probably mean Dark Choco never gets fully possessed by the sword and he doesn’t get banished (not to mention aging weirdness), and I don’t usually like messing with that too much, but I also think it sounds like a neat idea

You know I think I’m gonna scrap my original idea for the purecacao fankid, aka Choco Wafer, because I’m not satisfied with the name because that’s just KitKats, aka something her design was supposed to be inspired by, and yet I don’t like any other options. Right now I think I’m gonna change the name to Cocoa Butter, and with that make an entirely new character. Maybe one day I’ll make Choco Wafer, but for now she’ll be going to the void. So I might as well tell you my ideas for her character

So basically what I was going to do with Choco Wafer is that she was a professor at Parfaedia. She was baked a couple years before the Dark Flour War, and afterwards lived in the Dark Cacao Kingdom. She later chose to go to Parfaedia to learn magic as she wanted to feel closer to her other father, Pure Vanilla. She graduated and came back a wizard, and some years before Dark Choco’s betrayal she moved to Parfaedia full time to be a professor at the institute

She and Dark Cacao I think had a fine relationship, if not a bit strained and awkward (though I’m not sure why). She got along plenty with her younger brother Dark Choco, though they constantly bickered about which was better, magic or swords (though it was more playful teasing than anything serious)

Now one thing of note, she doesn’t actually know what happened with Dark Choco. This isn’t due to Dark Cacao not telling her, he sent her a letter after the fact telling her of what happened, but she never received it. And likewise he hasn’t received any letters from her about what’s been going on these past few years. This isn’t accidental, but rather intentional, likely on Affogato’s part (or maybe someone else, I’m not sure he’d be here yet), either by tossing both parties’ letters or forging new ones for both, causing neither of them reason to suspect something’s going on, so that the crown princess doesn’t return to cause problems

I think in my head I was imagining a scene in which the Cookies of Darkness come to Parfaedia for something, and Dark Choco and Licorice at least encounter Choco Wafer there. This would also be where we learn that Licorice apparently once had Choco Wafer as a professor at Parfaedia and he learns that she’s Dark Choco’s older sister, and also where DC learns that CW doesn’t actually know about his banishment. For all she knows he’s just lost an eye and changed styles, and that this is just her younger brother and former student visiting. They sneakily get whatever it is they need from her (some bickering may ensue between the siblings), and while Dark Choco is tempted to tell her what actually happened, he doesn’t, possibly under pressure on Pomegranate to not ruin the plan

But later on, around when Odyssey’s happening, Choco Wafer catches wind of the Vanilla Kingdom, and her other father Pure Vanilla, returning, and so she takes the opportunity to visit and actually see her father again (and she hears that her other father Dark Cacao will be there too, so she can see both at the same time). This would also be when she learns about everything that happened with Dark Choco, as there’s no one interfering with things now, and when she and Dark Cacao realize they were being manipulated by someone to not know what the other’s been doing. And that’s about all I really had there

Though I also had another route Choco Wafer’s story goes, and I’ll tell you that too. So in this version, at the end of the Dark Flour War, instead of being in the Dark Cacao Kingdom when it ended, she was in the Vanilla Kingdom being evacuated with all the other residents, who all escaped. However, like in canon, Dark Cacao isn’t aware they all escaped so he thinks she died alongside everyone else, and Choco Wafer thinks that both of her parents died there as well. From there, the Vanillians go and create what is the Crème Republic, though Choco Wafer isn’t heading the state as she’s a small child when this all happens. She’s probably important to the political scene in some way, but she isn’t the ruler or sits on the Council of Elders. She still does magic here though, maybe she still went to Parfaedia

Anyways, one day she learns that the Ancients, save for Pure Vanilla, are still alive, and so she decides to set out on her own so that she might be able to reunite with her father Dark Cacao. She does this, and on her way she encounters Dark Choco, who currently is looking for the Strawberry Jam Sword

For now the two decide to team up and look for the sword together, though they haven’t realized that they’re siblings yet (for whatever reason, I guess because neither want to say they’re actually royalty. But Choco Wafer is aware DC is Cacaoian, and DC knows CW is from the Vanillian survivors who have their own new country, but that her father is Cacaoian and she’s looking to meet him again). From there shenanigans ensue, and they may end up finding the sword, but with Choco Wafer’s magical knowledge she may be able to snap Dark Choco out of his possession (as well as knowing he’s possessed) and save him from his fate

Afterwards they return to the Dark Cacao Kingdom, at which point they learn that they are in fact siblings and they all have a big family reunion or something

But yeah, those were my ideas for Choco Wafer. I think I’ll scrap these for now because I feel like I’m so attached to them, whatever I choose to do with a purecacao kid will be limited by what I made here, like what happened with Vanilly and Witch Hazel. So I just wanted to share
