It's almost comical how fast Yuuta's reaction time has been since the start of their joint mission. Every time they encountered any sort of curse, Yuuta was on top of exorcising them, claiming he should be the one to work since he was the student and needed the practice.

He is starting to break a sweat, and the duo has yet to find their main target, the special-grade curse that they are supposed to exorcise. Sure, the bit about Yuuta using this as extra practice is partially true, but he is also a little worried about Chiyori-senpai's abilities. He'd seen her partially transform, but never the full thing. The thought of a full transformation worried him since it was a pretty huge risk to let a curse fully manifest in your body-- or even at all. While Yuuta thinks she is strong, he also knows she is not invincible.

When Chiyori-senpai questioned him about his condition, he waved her off, wiping his forehead. "I'm fine, Chiyori-senpai," he reassured her with a smile. "You want to know why I'm taking care of everything?"

more screentime/storylines for jp girls other than culture clash (which wasn’t even executed with any sort of nuance). way more screentime. so many girls got nothing.

instead of exposing what little drama occurred, emphasizing friendships and teamwork. there were so many pairs that we missed out on (chiyori/yena, mako/minseo, eunbi/haeyoon, nako/nayoung, kaeun/miru, alex/yunjin, i could go on...) bc mnet decided that girls helping each other and being supportive isn’t good entertainment??? thanks

So these are the Top 11 trainees that have caught my attention through the introductions and PR videos + a little explanation of why I like them (in order)!

11. Blockberry Creative’s Go Yujin

So I may be a bit biased here because Blockberry is one of my favorite companies, but I also think Yujin is absolutely gorgeous and I loved watching her dance in her introduction video. She seems very girl-next-door and likable.

10. Stone Music Entertainment’s Lee Sian

I love a girl who wears sundae as a necklace 😆 I also loved her intro video where she shocked us doing so many ridiculous yet impressive things. She seems very entertaining and I’m excited to see her skills as the broadcast begins.

9. CNC’s Yoon Eunbin

A BABY AAAA I love this lil Busan girl; her voice and visuals are so cute and I think she’ll have a ton of reversal charm! She’s such an uwu right???

8. HKT48′s Miyawaki Sakura

Honestly, Sakura being center didn’t really play much into my decision to put her in my initial Top 11 (though you know it does help). The real reason I like her is that you can really sense her sincerity in her intro video and she also has a very soft, sophisticated aura. She seems like a very genuine, kind person and I appreciate that.

7. WM Entertainment’s Lee Chaeyeon

Our Chaeyeon~ It’s so great to see this girl against since Sixteen. Her dancing seems to have gotten even better and, of course, she’s still stunning. Also she’s under WM so awesome (a great company in my opinion)

6. Independent trainee Park Seoyoung

A FIERCE girl right here. Her being the only blonde in the competition was the first thing that caught my attention. She is a total girl crush but also has a killer, cute smile! I’m excited to see her skills as she has trained for (I think) the longest out of all the contestants, and at YG! I think she’s going to be a force to be reckoned with. 

5. Woollim Entertainment’s Kim Chaewon

Chaewon was the first trainee to catch my attention outside of the girls I already knew. I think she’s super cute and charming and I want her to be my angel ❤️

4. A Team’s Kim Choyeon

I’m convinced this girl is not a human. There’s no way someone can be this beautiful. Her visuals are top-notch and she also seems super kind and dorky. I’m looking forward to seeing more of her~

3. AKB48′s Nakanishi Chiyori

Honestly who doesn’t love this girl by now? She’s hilarious no matter what she does and has such squishable cheeks! I can’t get enough of her, so here’s another impersonation from her intro because why not 

2. Yuehua Entertainment’s Wang Yireon

This girl is my top visual of the season! Her intro video showcased her beautiful dancing/body lines and her ADORABLE voice. I honestly adore her and want to love and protect her OOF ���

I’ve been following Alex since Rising Legends and I was so (happily) surprised to see her with the PD48 trainees! I wish nothing but the best for this fabulous dancer and meme; she is such a hard-working, genuine, fun-loving person and I believe that she can do really well 💜

Nobara is in the midst of showing Chiyori the Instagram page of a new cute cate café she discovered when a notification flashes on the top of the screen. It is quickly followed by three other messages from one of her fellow first-year classmates.

Prior to her current conversation with her senior, she had sent a relatable school meme to her first-year groupchat, which was labeled with two alien emojis in her phone to represent Yuuji and Megumi.

Chiyori's words give her whiplash as she swipes notifications off her screen. "Huh?" she's taken aback by the accusation, glancing between Chiyori and her phone. She must have been thrown off by the sudden influx of messages. "No way."

"Do you seriously think I'd date someone like that?" she says, placing extra emphasis on the final word. They were great as friends, but she couldn't imagine their relationship as anything more than that.

Headcanon Chiyori

her webtoon artstyle is quite similar to pingpu’s dangeum and jigyo for her current ongoing series. stylistically, it used to be a lot closer to shoujo manga type artwork for her first series, then evolved into a more sketchy, cartoonish style for her second series, but she thinks her current one is where her work really shines. her upcoming forth series stars humans drawn as animals so that will be a whole different kind of challenge altogether. 

she’s actually really, really lazy, which surprises most people. considering her side job requires her to be strict with deadlines, you’d expect the opposite, but her webtoons are literally the only thing chiyori expends actual effort on. for everything else, from her personal life to her schoolwork to housework, she puts in the bare minimum, and even then it’s usually because she can’t put it off any longer. chiyori gives the impression of being put together in public, but she’s far from it. 

her new year’s resolutions were to 1) join a gym and start working out (or spin class or yoga or… something); 2) stop spending money on otome games; and 3) get a boyfriend/girlfriend. she broke the first one like two weeks into the new year, and the second one on the third day of 2019. the third one is still in the cards because she’s a hopeless romantic at heart, but who really knows. her track record isn’t great.

“Stupid girl.” Miles spat the words out as he fumbled with the bandages, hands shaking as he started to desperately staunch the bleeding from the gash on her arm. “You didn’t have to jump in front of me.” Why were his hands shaking? He had done this before. He knew first aid inside and out. Why was he nervous? “You didn’t have to take the blow-!”

Stupid him for getting distracted. Stupid him for allowing a second year to notice that one of the gang members they had been meant to subdue wasn’t quite as knocked out as they had thought. His quirk had allowed him to harden the edge of his hands and the blade had been aimed straight for Miles’ throat. It wouldn’t have been enough for a deathblow, but it was an area that getting a wound on was-- not encouraged. 

She had stood in front of him, arms raised, and now here he was doing his best to hold sliced-open flesh together as he wrapped it in gauze. Red had leaked through to stain the white fabric-- and it had stained his fingers, leaving behind panicked fingerprints of her blood along her bandage and pale skin.

“... You should’ve let him hurt me.” After all, he would’ve deserved it. He hadn’t been paying attention and this, this was his fault...

There was no real thought behind pressing pale lips against the starchy fabric. Miles swallowed hard as he straightened to look up at her, blue eyes dark with loss and worry-- 

“CHIYORI!”

Saiyaman’s-- Gohan’s voice, and the panic and worry he clearly felt, lanced through Miles’ chest. Without a word he released Chiyori and shifted away, giving her brother the space he deserved to take care of the sister who should have never been this badly hurt.
