She will face Zhu Jiner, who qualified for the knockouts in eighth place, in the quarter-finals. The 23-year-old was the only Indian to make the knockouts across the open and women’s sections. Carlsen showed up in jeans for Day 1 of the blitz event and has reportedly got a jeans business deal out of the whole denim fiasco. G-Star has reportedly signed the Norwegian former world champion and he is expected to appear in their ads from 2025. Several other players too showed up in jeans for their games on Monday and fellow Norwegian Aryan Tari even went jeans shopping with Carlsen on the tournament rest day on Sunday. Carlsen won his first two rounds and laughed out loud after he messed up a winning pawn endgame and unwittingly fell for a stalemate trick in his round 3 game against GM Benjamin Bok. Carlsen will interestingly face Niemann again in the quarterfinals. Ten players ended up on 9.5 points in the Swiss standings with two – Daniel Naroditsky and Dubov – being eliminated in tiebreaks. Dubov didn’t turn up for his Round 10 game against Niemann, handing the American GM a win by forfeit. “I went to my hotel room to quickly prepare, then I fell asleep. When I woke up, it was too late. I didn’t make it. I want to continue the tournament. It was bad luck,” Dubov told NRK. He won his remaining three games of the day. The Rotaract Club of Rohini College of Engineering and Technology, together with the Rotaract Club of Nagercoil Town, celebrated the International day of Yoga on 21st June 2018 in the college premises. The chief objective of conducting the programme was to promote the benefits of Yoga among the students and faculty members of our College.

 The art of practicing Yoga helps in controlling an individual's mind, body and soul. It brings together physical and mental discipline to attain a peaceful body and mind; it helps  manage stress  and anxiety and enhances athletic performance. It also helps in increasing flexibility, muscle strength and body tone. It improves respiration, energy and vitality. The programme began with Tamil Thaivazhthu. To mark the occasion, the traditional lamp was lit by the dignitaries. The founder and Chairman Shri. K. Neela Marthandan, Vice-Chairman Dr. N. Neela Judith, Managing Director Dr. N. Neela Vishnu, Principal Dr. R Rajesh, Chief guests Mr. Mohammed Ismail, Mrs. Naseem Ismail and Rtn. Chithambaram Pillai graced the occasion. Dr. Senthilvel Murugan, Convenor of the program welcomed the gathering. Our Principal addressed the gathering and pointed out the importance of Yoga in our day today lives. Mrs. Naseem Ismail gave a special address and demonstrated Yoga Asana for the participants. She made all of them feel one with them through a short meditation. And she requested everyone to practice the Asanas every morning and make the day a refreshing one. Mr. Ganesan, the Physical Director of Rohini College proposed the vote of thanks. And the International Day of Yoga was wrapped up with National Anthem.
