The man approached the door and knocked a few times. As he waited for the girl inside to answer, he shifted on his feet. No response. Glancing down at his hand, he opened it and looked at the large black numbers that Chishiya had written there, in Sharpie marker, of course. Those were going to be there for a while.

He closed his hand into a fist and knocked again, this time harder. Where was this chick? He had been following her all morning until she went back to her room. Just like Chishiya told him to. She didn’t leave the room, he was sure of it.

“Wait for her in the dining hall. After she finishes breakfast, follow her back to her room. Wait 30 minutes. Knock. When she answers, tell her I would like to see her in my room and that you will be escorting her. Bring her here. Can you do that, Oaf?”

Chishiya’s words- which he had said as he etched the numbers on Todd’s palm with the thick black marker- echoed in his head. He had done exactly what Chishiya told him to. Wait. Why did Chishiya call him Oaf? His name was Todd. Did Chishiya mean to send some guy named Oaf? Shit. Shitshitshit…

He was starting to sweat. If the girl had somehow left the room, Chishiya would…well, Todd would probably end up with a broken hand that had numbers written on it.

Just then the door opened in front of him and he jumped.

Hey guys, Chishiya lied to us about where he’s been. Yeah, I know, lying is the norm for him, but this is different. I believed him when he said he left the Beach for a while to do “research”- whatever that was supposed to mean- and figure a few things out. Well, he lied! I have photographic proof that he was doing something else entirely!

I’m not sure I’m the right person to answer this question; I haven’t been around much as of late. I DO know, however, that chishiya-of-diamonds is absolutely dying for a sniveling, whimpering, subservient Ippei Oki to RP with. There was one for a minute, but they seemed to have disappeared.

I only know this because, well… I am also chishiya-of-diamonds. So, that’s my suggestion. Who knows, you might just inspire Chishiya to come out of hiding and RP more.

As far as a slang term, it appears to have several meanings ranging from a handsome young man to a young man who is kept by an older woman (or man).

Basically, show him any kind of attention and he’ll follow you anywhere. Kind of like a golden retriever. So if you see him, and you’re anywhere near a car, just open one of the doors and I’m sure he’ll hop right in. Keep him there until I arrive.

Daikichi, I have missed you, as well. I apologize for my absence. Hatter…well, his paranoia peaked and for some reason, he required my constant attention. He was convinced someone was coming to kill him and it was up to me, of all people, to protect him.

It was beyond ridiculous. I tried to escape him several times- first by trying to sell him on the idea that Niragi was surely better suited for the job, considering he is the one with the gun, but the man is relentless.

Aguni finally agreed to allowing me to sedate Hatter and I was able to slip away. After more than a month in the company of a madman, my own mental health seemed to be suffering and I chose to leave The Beach for some solitude and rest.

I returned yesterday and you were the first person I sought out, but I could not find you anywhere. Are you still residing at The Beach?
