went to this comedy show/folk religion in chicago last night (you may have seen them on tiktok capitalizing on the viral buzz of the chicago rat hole, though they've been around for over a year). one of the weirdest and funniest shows i've ever been to, so check them out if you can.

anyway, could not help but think it was extremely charlie kelly-coded the whole time. they should do an episode where mac tries to help him find god, but he finds ratology instead.

DR. WILSON: Overall, you’ve all done a fantastic job on your homework. Unfortunately, most of you seemed to struggle a bit on questions 11-15. But, not to worry. I have an idea. (Looks at Alvin) Alvin, can you walk us through what you did to solve questions 11-15?

ALVIN: (looking surprised) Me?

DR. WILSON: If that’s alright.

ALVIN: Y…Yeah! I can totally do that.

(He jumps out of his seat and walks everyone through the AP science questions and equations.)

DR. WILSON: Very well done, Alvin.

SIMON: (playfully) Way to go, teacher’s pet.

I just had a randomly memory unlock that I remember as like a kid it was like a thing to keep chipmunks as pets in the UK and now I'm wondering like is that still a thing?

............ i’m starting to worry that all the talk of “trash pandas” and people calling themselves raccoons have unfairly given people the idea that raccoons are safe or docile or easy to handle

like, the original wish to talk of them in more endearing terms was in reaction to the overarching narrative that they’re pests and should be exterminated, but that absolutely DOES NOT mean you should get close to raccoons nor treat them as pets. they are still a dangerous animal that you shouldn’t disturb, much less come within biting distance of a raccoon.
