Disclaimer: These headcanons are based on how I imagine Howie to be based on the game. You don't have to agree with what I say here as everyone is free to have their own ideas.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

VERY affectionate. I honestly feel like he grew up surrounded with so much love and now he’s just overflowing with it. Howie is all about showing his love through warm hugs, having his arm around you, swinging your hands as you walk, head pats, you name it. Another one, in my opinion, is words of affirmation. He'd tell you how much you matter to him through words, like quoting lines from his favorite movies and saying "I love you" before you both go to sleep.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Affectionate. Lots of play fighting and cuddling during movie sessions. Singing to Disney songs at the top of your lungs. You guys make friendship bracelets for each other (and he never takes off his). Definitely one of those dudes who drive their best friend everywhere.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

If it’s not apparent already, this dude is a giant golden retriever and he lives for the cuddles. He is born to cuddle, baby. Due to his size, it’s natural that he ends up as a big spoon more often than not but he definitely loves the moments he gets to be the small spoon.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

So domestic, even when you guys just started dating. It’s easy to imagine yourself settling down with someone as warm and comforting as Howie. He would love to settle down and build a home with you and you guys love having conversations about your dream house and how your life would be like in five, ten years. He’s alright at cooking in general but can cook some amazing Chinese dishes that his mom taught him.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

It would be hard for him to get out of a relationship, to be completely honest. He’s one of those people who easily gets attachment issues and finds it hard to move on from a relationship. If he really has to be the one to end the relationship, he would want to talk it out with you and try to end your relationship on a good note. I feel like he’s one of those people who really values respect, even when things aren’t working out anymore between you two.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Howie is a hopeless romantic and while he does have his insecurities, I feel like he would really love to commit to someone. In terms of marriage, it really depends on you. I don’t think his career would hinder him much when it comes to popping the question, to be honest. If he feels like he’s comfortable enough with the relationship and sees that you are, too, I think he’d propose to you when he feels like the time is right.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Howie is a textbook example of a gentle giant. He knows he’s strong so physically, he knows when to hold back a bit. Emotionally, it’s canon that he’s a soft and caring boy through and through and he would never hurt you on purpose.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Ugh, he LOVES hugs. It’s canon that the Yan fam is really good with hugs so if you need a pick-me-up, he’s your man. Whenever you guys are alone, he acts like an overgrown koala because he can’t get enough of hugging you. If hot chocolate is a hug, it’s what Howie’s would feel like. Warm, familiar, and comforting.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He knows he loves you when he does but holds back a lot in fear of coming off too strong. If he feels that you feel the same, then he would say it pretty quickly into the relationship or during a spur of a moment. If it seems that you need more time, he would hold back just so that you wouldn't feel uncomfortable.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

He’s the type who’s less jealous and more insecure. His jealousy isn’t going to make him act rashly and put you on the spot. It’s slow and creeping and you might not notice at first because of how well he conceals it but it becomes apparent by the way he starts to act distant.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Warm and gentle. His kisses make you feel so safe and loved and he likes to take the time to show you how he feels through the gesture. He loves to kiss you everywhere but his favorite places to kiss you are your nose and temples.

Also, kiss him on the forehead and he’d melt into a puddle. Another one of his hotspots is at the back of his neck. Kiss him there and watch him sputter as he tries to gain back his bearings.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He loves kids, kids love him. He humors the kids a lot and is a great impersonator so prepare yourself for some improvised skits in front of the kiddos. Can’t say no to the kids, though, so you might have to step in from time to time. Kids treat him like a human jungle gym. Which he actually is.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

I definitely see him as a morning person. Also, he’s so fit that you can’t tell me he doesn’t workout every single morning. Probably goes on an early jog and is one of those people who seems so chipper even if it's only seven in the morning.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Have you seen actors with their stage makeup on? There’s no way Howie’s skin stays so smooth and supple without some form of skincare routine. Has his own skincare routine and loves doing it with you together in front of the mirror (while making faces at you). After a good skincare session, he'll sit on the couch or in bed with you cuddled up to him as he reads scripts from his new upcoming projects.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Depending on how much he trusts you, it could be sooner or later. The thing with him is that he keeps things bottled up to himself. It’s hard and it’s tiring and the moment he feels safe with you, the dam breaks and he starts to reveal things about himself.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

It’s definitely hard to annoy Howie and even harder to provoke him. He has the patience of a saint and unless something is very wrong, you can always find him just chillin lol.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He’s quite sentimental so he definitely remembers your relationship milestones. He remembers a lot of small things about you; like how you like your cereal and your best friend’s name from high school. Some of the details can be fuzzy at times but he tries!

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

Canonically: The moment you said yes when he asked to be your boyfriend at Luca’s "sister's wedding".

Headcanon: The time you both visited his family in Chicago for the holidays. You were walking home from dinner when the snowfall turned into a snowstorm. It was terribly cold and windy but you both kept on laughing at the situation and you looked so gorgeous with snow stuck to your hair under the waning streetlight that he didn’t even care that he's freezing his butt off.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Isn’t too protective in the traditional sense because he knows you can take care of yourself. More protective of how you feel because of his words and actions so he’s careful in what he says and how he says them because he doesn’t want to hurt your feelings. Highkey loves to be protected tho. Thinks it's kinda hot.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Puts a lot of effort in his career, obviously. Howie is always so passionate and ambitious when it comes to being a top actor. Relationship-wise, he’s a simp. Dates are mostly casual with him but he puts extra time and effort in choosing or making gifts. All the extra and expensive bits goes into your anniversary dates.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

A lot of times, he leaves his wet, sweaty workout shirts at the corner of the room and somehow always forgets no matter how many times you’ve scolded him. Sometimes doesn’t close or tie snack packages properly so when it's your turn to eat them, they’re often stale. A terrible snorer when he’s had a long day on set.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Quite concerned. He likes to highlight the nice parts of his body through the clothes he choose to wear and tries to follow a healthy diet in general. He worked hard for his body and as much as embarrassing as it is to admit, he loves to show off and be admired for it (especially by you).

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

A strong believer that every person is complete and whole on their own. He believes that every person is their own and just because you love someone, it doesn't mean that your life must revolve around that person. Even so, he is a romantic. So even if he knows that he's complete without you, he does prefer to have you by his side.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

He can play the piano really well. Aside from dance lessons, his parents put aside a lot of money to sign him up for piano classes when he was younger. Now, he plays them whenever he’s deep in thought and it’s always relaxing to hear him play.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

In general, Howie doesn’t like broccoli. Keep those away from him. Please. When it comes to partners, Howie stays away from people who make him feel less. Basically people who put him down for being who he is and liking the things he likes. Narcissists, if you will.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

He’s a snuggler and he nuzzles into your side a lot when he sleeps. Whether you get too warm is your problem because this dude is Strong™ and won’t let you push him aside that easily. And, God, I hate to say this but he’s definitely a snorer. Not all the time but when he’s really tired.... let’s just say you won’t be getting a decent sleep.

He gets a “Thank you!” That Does Not Come From Burnham (the only other person in the room.) cut to him getting the spook of a lifetime as he basically has an entire conversation with the fucking SHIP, before he turns to her jsut like “is this Control you were talking about?!?! What the fuck is this?!?! How did you get it to achieve sentience oh god do we have another AI issue on top of all the dumpster fire issues I have to deal with now??? And Burnham is just chillin bc, hey, this is just Sunday for her. Assures him “nah, she’s fine. She saved Owo a few months back from getting blown up. Plus she hosts movie nights every weekend and makes sure Tilly gets protein and vitamin shots whenever she orders too much coffee, so she’s probably just the ship mom.” Vance says he needs a drink. The Sphere data promptly has a replicator make him synthenol. Burnham laughs her ass off as Vance looks halfway between a breakdown and a laughing fit.

-Sphere data (Zora? Zora) decides to keep a running passive knowledge of when everyone has slept last, and has a habit of ‘accidentally’ getting the personal transporters to send people to their quarters instead of their posts if they’ve already worked too long. It becomes known that when she teleports you the first time, it’s a warning. The second, a plea. But when she teleports you *directly* into bed? You stay there if you know what’s good for you.

-Zora thanks each and every one of the crew who do repairs on her. Even if it’s small ones. At first it’s terrifying to hear a soft ‘thank you’ drifting through the jefferies tubes while you’re alone. But then it becomes a comfort, a reassurance. It makes it so that as soon as a battle is over, the engineers and damn near anyone who can help throw their hands on deck to wherever the ship needs repairs, desperate to bring her up to safety and back online, to hear her voice even if it’s weak or glitchy. She’s their home, and the closest thing to a *mother* that many of them have anymore. They *have* to help her like she helps them.

-Many of the rooms that belonged to those that didn’t jump -and weren’t filled by other Starfleet crew- are now converted into other rooms. Open rec rooms for anyone to enjoy, digital libraries, mini-greenhouses where there are flowers and even *real* edible plants. Michael simply tells everyone it was a surprise that was planned. She says nothing of the nights she planned the upgrades, chatting to Zora. Says nothing about how excited Zora was to be able to grow more plants besides experiments. To see how her crew eyes lit up when they were able to tend to public gardens in their free time and watch life grow from it. How excited she was to see them happy.

-She MEDDLES. Oh, does Zora meddle in their love lives. There’s no technical proof, but she does. Joann and Keylas rooms suddenly losing the wall between them and becoming a double suite that no one can fix? What a strange happenstance. Reno and Pollard stuck in a lift together? Gosh, how annoying.

-she also meddles with other relationships. Making sure people who have had arguments don’t cross paths in the hallways unless necessary. Delaying people *just so* so that they don’t arrive in the Caf at the same time, or do, and they manage to make up. Knowing when Gray and Adira really want someone, but don’t want to say it, and having them be drawn out of bed to get a snack just as Paul and Hugh *happen* to be leaving their late dinner. Having Michael and Paul stuck in the same lift after she knows both of them are ready to talk things out, and, failing one of them being able to literally say it, pleads with them over the speakers until they do. And then they cry and yell and end up sobbing into one another’s arms on the floor? Well, she’ll just have to cause Reno a little bit more of an issue back in engineering that’ll delay her fixing the lift just a bit longer. Just enough for the two siblings in the lift to pull themselves together and hug it out. Just enough for them to whisper a quiet thank you to her, and her back to them before the doors open.

I was watching a video and there was a scene where Felix was back hugging seungmin who was back hugging changbin and he had the cutest little smile and he looked so pretty 

Guys the image is just too cute. 

But expect that to happen when you cuddle with him because he’s just the happiest with you. 

Definitely the kind to lay on your chest and hug you around the middle. 

If you’re sleeping he’ll probably poke your face and admire you 

He’s also the kind of guy to just backhug you and then fall onto the couch or bed and just laying there spooning.

This is one of my favourite forms of cuddling.

And I feel like he would do this one a lot (I mean maybe, maybe not idk)

But you and seungmin are resting on the couch. 

He sits normally and you sit with your back resting against the armrest, your legs are thrown over his lap and this is just where you guys chill because he can read or work or whatever 

Quick interjection though, how cute would it be if you just had a reading session and you’re cuddled up to his side (Or vise versa) and just both read from the same book (might be kind of hard especially if you read at different tempos but it’s still so cute)  

No matter how you’re cuddling tho he will leave little kisses on the shell of your ear. 

Also, because he’s just a little bit weird like this, he will sometimes nibble your ear.

Not the most cuddly member but I think he’d be a bit more cuddly with you, especially if this boy is worn out and tired. 

I think he’s more of a whatever is comfortable, I don’t really see him as having a favourite way to cuddle. 

Although I really do think he’d love it when your head is on his chest or something because it makes him feel all grown up and like he’s keeping you safe or something 

Okay, I also think that like when your sleeping together and just subconsciously you’ll touch butts… 

Sounds weird but hear me out 

You both fell asleep watching something on his phone, cuddling normally (Like your head on his chest or hugging his side or something) and then in the morning when you wake up facing away from each other and literally just your backs and butts are touching in order to still be close.

Dumb headcanons about a Senpai and Boyfriend AU I've been cookin' up cause they live rent free in my brain rn

Basically in this AU Bf borrowed the game Senpai was trapped in from his best friend Gf. Bf accidentally left it on when he went to bed and a huge storm caused a power surge thus freeing Senpai and having nowhere else to go Bf and Senpai become roommates and maybe even more? ;3c (either way you can view this as ship or a friendship). Now onto the head cannons!

- Senpai likes to hold Bf in his lap cause he's just so smol, cute (more on that later) and Bf is surprisingly very comfortable to cuddle with.

- Bf and Senpai sometimes when they're just hanging out n chillin, they start to hum then eventually sing together and come up with silly little duets. It has become a game now to see who can make the other slip up and laugh and so far it's a tie between the two.

- When Senpai first moved in with Bf they had separate rooms. However, years of loneliness and being trapped in a videogame have certain effects and after a particularly bad night Bf and Senpai decide to share a bedroom.

- When bad nights do occur and they don't have anything to do the next day they go make some hot chocolate then sit on the couch and binge watch a show or movies until they fall asleep again. Then they just take it easy but if they need to talk about any nightmares or anything else along those lines they happily listen to each other.

- Bf is smol and as a result he has trouble reaching things (he had to buy a step stool so he could put things up high if he really needs to. I headcanon that he's about 5ft even and Senpai is 6ft6in. I'm also a sucker for height differences don't @ me) Senpai finds it adorable as hell and if Bf can't reach something he'll gladly grab it for him.

- they often cook together but Bf is the main cook while Senpai is the baker of the two. They both also have sweet tooths so you can bet that the things Senpai bakes are to die for. (They also share with their neighbors and friends as well)

- Thanks to how long he was in the game Senpai actually really enjoys Anime and Manga and once things got a bit more stable he bought a few shelves and is building up his own collection. He likes both Shonen and Shojo and has gotten Bf into some of them as well.

- Bf introduces him to some new videogames that he missed from when he was trapped and ends up enjoying them a lot. His favorites so far though are games like Rune Factory/Stardew, Zelda, Persona, and Kingdom Hearts to name a few.

- Senpai had a big weakness for cute/smol things and Boyfriend does not help with this because if he sees something cute while out and about he tells Senpai about it or even shows/takes a pic and sends it to him. It makes him melt even more when Bf adds "I saw this and thought of you~ ;)".

- Senpai translates sometimes for Bf when he's speaking in his beep boop language when others don't speak it. Bf also uses this to his advantage to get Senpai flustered.

Without Consent (1994) - Review

TW/CW: This movie features talk of mental illness and suicidal-ideation in ways that I feel teeter on a very fine line. There is use of straight jackets as well as bed restraints, among other antiquated medical practices, including unecessary sedations. Yes this movie was made in the nineties and not 2021, however recognizing context of the time period doesn’t free it from not being triggering.

I also acknowledge that there are several real life conversations going on at the moment surrounding youth treatment facilities, not so far separated from this fictional one and how traumatizing that are. (Paris Hilton and Bhad Bahbie are just a few of the voices talking about them.)

I’ve been on a teen Lifetime Movie kick these last few days and this one always seemed to come recommended right after the others that I watched, so I figured why not give it a shot. Now it wasn’t technically a Lifetime movie, from what I can gather, however it was a made-for-tv film, so I’m gonna just lump them all together, cause the shoe fits and this movie is gonna wear it.

Laura (Jennie Garth) is slipping down the wrong path. She’s flunking out of school, making out with boys while her parents are out for the evening and she’s even failing to fill out her college applications. She has a dismissive attitude when she talks to just about any adult figure in her life. Home isn’t great either and the relationship she has with her parents, especially her mother is a rough one. Needing to be anywhere else, she goes and has a few drinks with her “boyfriend” Eric, but since he’d rather hook-up than be the friend she needs, Laura leaves his place intoxicated and drives drunk. After the accident, her school and her parents feel like they have no choice but to send her to Meadowbrook, a teen treatment facility for troubled teenagers.

We know how these movies go, we know how overdramatic and sensationalized they make them on purpose and we know that even at their wildest, for some reason we still continue to watch. Maybe the early 90′s had that edge to them, but I feel like this movie in particular was a bit less cringe than the other one’s I’ve seen recently, that were made in the early to mid  2000′s. Maybe this one had more depth or something cause I was just so engaged the whole time. Even when I saw parts that could have been fleshed out more or things that I thought were trash altogether, I still thought better of Without Consent as a whole. In the genre, this one was for sure decent and actually had me on the edge of my bed for a moment. (I’m telling y’all that I literally went from laying down, chillin, to sitting all the way up, ready to see some ish go down.) Definitely want to dive more into the 90′s era of this edgy, teen, made-for-tv (Lifetime movie) genre, cause apparently as much as I liked the 2010′s, this one has them “newbies” beat.

Spoiler(esk) Thoughts and Gripes Below:

My first main gripe with this film or rather the story progression of the movie, was the ending. You know I sat up cause ish got real and then they just decided to skip past everyone’s favorite scene. You know the part, the one where they usually handcuff all the dirty, crooked bad guys and we watch the wild look they get on their faces as they’re being placed in the back of the squad car, headed for many years of hard time to be spent behind bars. It would have been far more satisfying had it ended that way.

My second main gripe, which wasn’t the fault of the movie, but more of the times themselves, was the fact that a lot of these places, were over-diagnosing kids like Laura. It wasn’t just the doctors either, it was parents and other adult figures as well. Like first she’s alcoholic and then she’s depressed and then I think at the end they tried to say she had a personality disorder. Specifically to this movie, there was just so much, but we also know that wasn’t uncommon back then. It was easier to medicate and diagnose a supposed problem, then to actually talk to these kids. It was so gaslight-y.

My third main gripe lol, is that we don’t really know who Laura is at all. I can make the assumption that she might be a little burnt out and depressed on life, but beyond that I don’t know much about her actual personality. So yeah it could have also been a more well rounded movie, had they given her anything really. Does she like candy or walks in the park? Maybe she’s really into songwriting? ANYTHING? Just give me something because everyone finds themselves at some point realizing that they don’t know who Laura is or what she actually wants, but they still don’t stop to even ask.

All the adults were hella creepy and there were a few times were I thought old Dr. Winslow was going to inappropriately touch Laura, especially when he was talking to her while she was drugged and restrained to the bed. I know they wanted to keep people sick so that they could make more money off of them, but I wouldn’t have been surprised if that kind of assault took place as well.

I’m glad she didn’t move back home after being “freed” from the second trip to Meadowbrook. Laura’s parents did “rescue” her, but they were never great at listening to her in the first place and chose pawning her off somewhere to get help instead of once asking her anything legitimately real that wasn’t tied to her 5 year plan.

The whole treatment facility was gross, but her parents were straight trash for not even touring the place or asking real questions before sending Laura away. Like you could find a way to believe that this is the best place to get your daughter some help, but at least walk the halls first.

Laura’s roommate at Meadowbrook was also trash for selling Laura out in the escape and for that snake attempt at the end there too. We knew snitching got you points, but acting like you’re all tough while doing it is shady.

"Yeah, a litter of kittens, a fluffle of buns"

"That is adorable" "yes it is, but she had six, now Lopple was a very chubby black lion hair and we don't know about the dad but all these buns where black and white and the one who looked most like lopple was this little bun that had white paws and a white tail, a white nose and then just black all over and Lisa's plan was that she was going to keep the babies until they where old enough and then sell them on to other people" she explained

"That didn't happen"

"I didn't, I basically went over every single day and watched these little bunnies grow up to where they could function on there own, and I grew very attached to the one we had nicknamed socks because of her white feet and Lisa just kinda asked me if I wanted her?" she smiled "I had never had bunnies before, or really pets before but I couldn't leave her so I instantly said yes, went to a pet store that day and bought all the stuff she would need and took her home to my apartment set her little hutch up at the end of my bed, and I renamed her hen I got her home to Hopscotch" she smiled

"About... maybe a week later I came over to your apartment and Met hopscotch" "she loved you, Immediately" she laughs "I was expecting her, like when she had met other people that she would hide in her house, or she would come and burrow into my back like she still does, or maybe bite I was worried about biting, but you sat by her house she came wondering out with her little soft feet, walked right over to Thomas sniffed him jumped in his lap and feel asleep"

"and one day, we where shopping together and we had to go to the pet store to get food for hopscotch, and we walked in going to the rabbit section to get the food and..." she smiled picking up jellybean from the floor "This little boy was there, in a little pen of rabbits they had for sale all of them where playing and bouncing around but this little boy was just sat by the glass chillin' eating a dandelion leaf" she smiled "Now people think I squealed and had to get him but-

"I went to buy rabbit food for hopscotch and I think..."

she then showed the pet shop with the glass pen of bunnies where a little one sat playing with thomas though the glass "I think thomas' found a friend"

"it was so fucking cute, I wish I filmed it," she says "and then we let him out and they sniffled each other and licked each other and just they where so happy together, I assumed they would sort of bond like brother and sister. Because they are both my babies but... I was dumb because of course they didn't" she laughs "We know very well from lots of videos' that hopscotch and jellybean and very in love"

"They are very in love, like if you take one just into another room without the other they'll start crying, and stomping until there allowed to be together again"

"I take them both to the vet. if one has to go, because it's way less stressful for them both to just be together" "It's weird how much... like us they are" "Ummm, but the news!"
