King Cold’s older brothers, forgotten in time. I’m trying to make the lore more interesting. The eldest is the preppy book-smart while the 2nd one is rowdy street-smart. Their names are R̵̺̼̬̻̩͖̹̰͊̎̈́͐̅̏͑̚Ę̴͍̹͖̥̝̬̝̑̔̇͆͑͌̚̕D̵͎̠͔̓̀̅̊͑̋̍̈́̊͒A̵̢͓͚͙͚͌̿̂̀̉͌̚C̴̡̯̭̮̣̟̃̒̈́̒̀̈́͗T̶̢̥̜̝̣̪̰̖̺̔̐͛̐̑E̴̗̘̟̙̱̬̻͇̓́̇̄͠ͅD̴̛̮̳̅̀͋̔̉̒̈́͊͝ and R̵̺̼̬̻̩͖̹̰͊̎̈́͐̅̏͑̚Ę̴͍̹͖̥̝̬̝̑̔̇͆͑͌̚̕D̵͎̠͔̓̀̅̊͑̋̍̈́̊͒A̵̢͓͚͙͚͌̿̂̀̉͌̚C̴̡̯̭̮̣̟̃̒̈́̒̀̈́͗T̶̢̥̜̝̣̪̰̖̺̔̐͛̐̑E̴̗̘̟̙̱̬̻͇̓́̇̄͠ͅD̴̛̮̳̅̀͋̔̉̒̈́͊͝. Poor King Cold couldn't remember their names anymore due to repressed memories. Something terrible def happened.
Tumblr media
Even during his younger days, Cold can’t seem to escape witnessing brotherly fights. Looks somehow familiar…
Tumblr media
During the early days of the Cold real estate business, they love expanding. The rest of the family will do anything at all to grow and get rich. Cold was the only one who’s a bit skeptical of their dirty & suspicious methods…
which costs their lives…and soon fading away as memories slowly with old age.
Tumblr media
I intentionally left their names blank and let other people name them, to reflect how Cold tries to remember their names!
Haven’t posted in awhile, felt bad. So I’m taking a break from drawing comics and drawing uh normal stuff!

"bioware's doing the best they can" "they have to trim the fat SOMEWHERE" "they have to move on from the previous games EVENTUALLY" "they ALWAYS have disregarded things from past games" guys........... (ramblings under the cut)
my man on earth....... morrigan is literally claimed By The Devs to be a prevalent character in datv and ur telling me NOTHING that happned to her is worth putting into the background of datv?
you can claim bioware is just doing their job and have all the excuses in the world for them but when u get down to it.... they really just didnt want to deal with anything from the past three games... they didnt want to put the work in to add even CODEXES (one the the easiest cheapest forms of implementing background lore) to this game... the literal game director barely even knows who ZEVRAN is (a MAIN CHARACTER from the FIRST of the series) because they didnt bother going back to replay or research dragon age as a series beyond dai... like... i understand the devs wanting to simplify their jobs and i actually totally agree, they needed to get rid of the keep, that was too much info for them to keep up with.
But they cut back SO MUCH, like an unnecessary amount. Three? THREE choices? AND ALL OF THEM ARE SOMEHOW RELATED TO SOLAS? NOTHING the inquisitor did was notable beyond their relationship to Solas? Nothing??
people are using leliana as an example of something bioware has retconned before because shes alive regardless of if u killed her in dao or not. except the problem with that is that the games DOES address the fact that she's supposed to be dead. like it very much does that??? hello?? id rather they bring her back and address it than just totally retcon it and never explain it
this is such a horrible, disrespectful decision on bioware's part and making excuses for them is WILD. like. the devs are fine i promise u. stopppp telling people to **touch grass** and **take some deep breaths** after I myself have invested over half my life into playing these games just to get slapped with "lol actually none of that matters now hehe" jfc
like i understand fandom can get a lil crazy but im telling u this isnt an overreaction lmao let people be upset about things that theyve poured their lives into for 15+ years
im still buying the game, im still playing it, ill still love it, but MAN this has kind of totally ruined my trust in the devs and im back to being nervous about how they will address things in this game and beyond because it really feels like a big fuck u to long time fans and idk how they wouldnt think it would be perceived as such.

I love love love the fact that Son Gokū and his sons Gohan and Goten are voiced by a 87yo woman in japanese. And I love even more that this woman is Masako Nozawa. She is a LEGEND and I love her!!! She's so so so talented! She's clearly the best and I wish I could meet her and tell her how amazing I think she is

Most people see Goku as this straightforward Shonen Hero - always smiling, training and just wanting to get stronger, but there's much more going on under the surface. He carries a lot of guilt, and when you really think about it, he struggles with his sense of self way more than he lets on.
Tumblr media
The Cell Saga is such a good example of this. Goku deciding to stay dead after the Cell Games isn’t just him being practical or selfless - it feels like he genuinely thinks the world would be better off without him. That speech to Gohan where he straight-up blames himself for everything that happened? Wild. He doesn’t hold back either, just looks his kid in the eye and says, “This is my fault.” It’s heartbreaking because it’s not really true, but Goku believes it. And the way he spent time with Gohan leading up to the Cell Games - teaching him, making those memories - it’s like he knew he wasn’t coming back and wanted to leave things on a good note. It’s not bravery; it’s quiet resignation, like he’s made peace with disappearing for good.
Then there’s the whole identity crisis thing. Goku grew up as Son Goku, but then he finds out hes Kakarot, and suddenly he’s stuck between two worlds. He doesn’t really belong to either of them. The Saiyan side is completely foreign to him, and as much as Earth is his home, he’s always reminded he’s not like everyone else. Training becomes his escape, his way of giving himself purpose when he doesn’t know who he really is. Even his name, 悟空 can be read as “knowing emptiness completely.” It hits hard because that’s what he’s doing - living with this emptiness and trying to fill it with something, anything.
What really gets me is how selfless he is, but not in a healthy way. Goku can see the good in everyone - Vegeta, Piccolo, even Buu - but he can’t do the same for himself. He downplays everything he does. Like, when Merus tells him he saved the world, Goku’s just like, “Oh, I guess.” He’s not just being humble; he genuinely doesn’t see himself as the hero. And when things go wrong? He blames himself entirely. When Gohan didn’t kill Cell, Goku didn’t get mad. He just took it as his own failure, like, “I should’ve done better as a teacher.” He never blames anyone else.
His relationship with Gohan says so much about how Goku sees himself. He always talks about Gohan being better than him, and you can tell it’s not just pride - it’s this belief that Gohan has something he doesn’t. Humanity, maybe, or a balance Goku thinks he can never have. Goku admires that, but it also makes him feel lesser. During the Buu Saga, his determination to stay dead wasn’t just about letting the next generation grow stronger. It was like he genuinely believed his absence was better for everyone.
But the thing about Goku is, even with all this, he never stops being kind. He forgives people who’ve done the worst things to him, sees the best in them, and gives them second chances. It’s just that he can’t give himself that same kindness. He carries every mistake, every failure, like it’s his alone to bear.
Goku’s not just a battle-hungry guy who loves to fight. He’s a character full of contradictions - someone who’s confident in his strength but quietly haunted by his failures, someone who inspires hope in others while struggling to find his own. He’s one of the most quietly tragic characters in Dragon Ball. It’s all there, if you really look.

The romance scene at the ball is so short but so sweet I unironically adore it. Just a small happy moment between the Inquisitor and their lover at the end of one HELL of a stressful evening.
