hours tick away in the clock on the wall,yet on my desk sits an hourglass where red sand falls,contained within a shapely faux wood frame..falling falling grain by grain; the hourglass my silent friend that always starts and never ends.. an endless waterfall of sand kept going by a turning hand.

it sits there falling night and day as lovers spat and lovers play, sunshine glares its gleaming glass as it patiently pourscthe time thats passed.. it tumbles down as old folks die, as lovers love, as childrenlaugh and cry..slowly counting grain by grain.. pouring down like trickling rain; infinity locked inside glass, observing father time stroll past..like beautys endless spell on man, time has an endless spell on sand..fom beach to mountain and shore to shore, infinite sand stretches evermore; but once inside sn hourglass it only goes as far as time thats passed; and all it does is count the time that i spend loving, wishing for or missing my woman fine.. andi turn it to tumble again..j♈️☯️

There's something magical about Denver Botanic Gardens. Whether it's children laughing and squealing down the walkways or a hidden bench amongst the trees, the prayer wheel in the Japanese Garden or an orchid beckoning from under the mist of the Boettcher Tropical Conservatory or the sweet smelling Etrog or Oranges and Mimes in The Orangery - Everybody can find a magical place that makes them smile and brings them reverie!! I hope you to take the time to explore Denver Botanic Gardens. It's one of my most favorite places in Denver. Many times I feel a certain sacredness within its trees, flowers, lotus in the Monet Pool or light filled trees during the holiday seasons. In a city full of gigantic growth, new people and landscapes and vibrant action there is an oasis of quiet calm and peace and fun and it is our Botanic Gardens!! The first time that something simple overwhelmingly excited you, do you remember it? One of the joys I’ve found of being a father is experiencing moments again through my children’s eyes. Not just any moments, but the first time they experience something. I don’t remember how I reacted the first time a bubble popped on my face, but I’m pretty sure it was close to how my son Hunter reacted. Giggling and excited to do it again. One Saturday morning I had turned on the bubble machine and instead of chasing them around the yard to try and pop them. Hunter stood above the machine putting his face into the big ones, laughing when they popped in his face and then waiting for the next one to happen.
