I love this post.
I also agree with you, the eyes hold so many secrets - I once read somewhere that the eye is the window to the soul, it’s my favourite anatomy. Definitely explains why I don’t like people staring into my eyes.
However, not to take away from the poignancy of the topic at hand, I too believe that masks should only be temporary fixes - I’m basically just copying what you said Rach. I’ve said all of this just to let you know that - I feel you.
Thanks for reblogging x

How did we get here?
The task was simple - be an effective witness for the sake of the witness. That's all we were asked to do, but instead we adopted the saviour complex and decided we could save others from themselves. However, from what I can gather; it seems as though we're the ones who need saving from ourselves. How did we get it so wrong?

Drama
Humans - we love a bit of lamenting. Melodrama. Exaggerations. Drama.
Calm down! The world has not ended. Stop talking. Stop predicting. Just stop.
Also, when did you decide that you know better than God? Yes it’s difficult, yes it does look like a bit of a shambles but maybe there is a reason for the inconvenience. Sometimes things don’t go your way because maybe you’re meant to learn a lesson? Maybe it’s time to take the pride out of your eyes and acknowledge the fact that you can’t predict the future.
I’ll admit that it’s okay to be upset when things don’t go your way, but for goodness sake stop throwing a tantrum and get on with it- the last time I checked complaining never fixed anything.
Just stop lamenting. Stop the melodramatics. Stop the exaggerations. STOP THE DRAMA AND GET ON WITH IT.

Tesla
One day I will own a Tesla. I have Tesla-spidey senses, no really. Like, when one is in my zone - my hairs stand on end, my pupils dilate, I’m also pretty sure my mouth goes dry. Honestly, it’s so real Amen to owning a Tesla one day

#ItsRachaelOkay
There are people in your life That you can go without noticing Social media angels that watch from afar Too timid to step on toes Or reveal anything worth mentioning But they watch over you They see your journey, your humour, your triumphs and failures. And when you’re at breaking point And you’ve bruised your head on your internal glass ceiling. They’ll come out of hiding, and remind you where you’ve been.

Missage
I miss the Chelwest gang. Emlaw, jacint, pablito, PC, ShelsBels, Meems, BC.
I just miss the people who know me. It’s hard starting from the bottom and not knowing where the proverbial ‘here’ will be.

I like Meghan Trainor for a lot of reasons and not just because she’s all about that bass and she said her name is #NO. She’s probably talking about her fans in this song or whoever, but it doesn’t matter because it made me think of Jesus.

Looking for Alaska
I was reading John Green, and have been for the past couple of months, much to my dismay, Looking for Alaska isn’t as riveting as The Fault in our Stars, but I have to finish it so…
Anyway, I read this quote on my commute on Friday morning and I just haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.
“I am going to take this bucket of water and pour it on the flames of hell, and then I’m going to use this torch to burn down the gates of paradise so that people will not love God for want of heaven or fear of hell, but because he is God.”
As a dear friend said “Something about it strips away everything to its bare bones”
And she’s right. It makes me want to start all over again and love him because he IS.
