So as of this new chapter, no more mind-screwing stuff really happened other than they introduced a new character thatās supposed to be Gullveig as a child. She has a hood that looks very similar to the Summoner hood and she also has a Breidablik in her possession, so Iām now 95% sure that Gullveig is actually that kid you have with Seidr (which hasnāt happened yet so who knows).
This fever dream of a plot line is just getting weirder and weirder.
Oh ok I see! Thanks for informing me @childofaura!
I donāt know what in the world is the FEH writers thinking when they have Seidr asking the Summoner to make a child. This kind of thing should be reserved for you know, the low brow raunchy isekai stuff and not in Fire Emblem.
This is WTF kind of weird and not in a good way.

Pour one out for Gilbert Gottfried, Nunya. We lost a great man.
Gottfried died from a rare genetic muscle disease that can trigger a dangerously abnormal heartbeat. his publicist and longtime friend Glenn Schwartz said in a statement.

Can we also acknowledge that Havoc virtually blue-balled Lust because she only started dating him so she could get insider knowledge on their plans and he never told her jack-squat? A weaker man would brag about top-secret materials to his lady friend, but a stud like Havoc just wastes a bitchās time and efforts.
HONESTLY roy really picked his team so well. to a man, every single one of them is different from the persona they project. havoc seems like a lumbering idiot who could be easily enticed into spilling secrets, but in fact he is quick-thinking and tight-lipped. his biggest draw may be that he's capable and efficient muscle in the field, but his unique appeal to roy is that he's clever and staunchly loyal.
breda looks like an unassuming lazy lug who cares about food and doing the bare minimum. nobody suspects he's incredibly clever and strategic, capable of working in the shadows and moving people remotely while keeping his involvement discreet.
fuery looks like a shy, gentle little nerd with a weird fixation on technology, but he is in fact a master of covert communications, surprisingly fearless in the field and is always thinking ahead. his preparedness gets the team out of tight situations.
falman honestly. his appeal is that he looks like an average dude who just, works. he's not strong, he's not outspoken. he just seems like a normal, reserved guy. that's his advantage. he's incredibly intelligent, a veritable repertoire for political and historical knowledge. but he's so unassuming that nobody suspects he could play a hand in greater schemes 'cause he's just A Dude. it gives him the freedom to move around without arousing suspicion.
and we know all about riza.
roy really deserves more credit for picking his team. and for playing the part of the lazy CO whose unit's studious toil is the real reason behind his rapid ascent through the ranks. they all play the role wordlessly, seamlessly, with complete faith in one another that their plans will work. and they're right. roy relies on them heavily, it's true, but not for any of the reasons that people think. and that's by design. and they do it so well, because roy picked the right people. because roy is good at people.

Can I just say Iāve seen all your posts about RWBY and that review guy; and while Iām not a RWBY fan, I went through the same crap with Sonic games and the Game Grumps purposely misrepresenting the quality of those games so I sympathize heavily with you guys. Stay strong ;w;
Trust me dude, Iām a Sonic fan and that shit is what caused me to give up on the Grumps. Arin being a douche intentionally making it look worse than it is and Danny going along with it because he doesnāt know better.Ā

Hey Iām just hopping into an ask because Iām on my phone and typingās an ass-pain on it, but in regards to your reply about dogs; I just wanted to clarify Rottweilers were actually bred as working dogs used for things like pulling carts (sized appropriately of course), carrying things like saddlebags, and herding other animals. They usually werenāt bred for any aggressive purposes (i.e guard stuff) until ārecentlyā (WWI era). I still totally agree with everything you said, I just love Rotts.
Herding and Guard work*, but yeah. Rottweilers are one of the older dog breeds we have, since the Roman empire was a thing, but interest in the breed picked up a lot during and after the World Wars.
Theyāve technically always been a āGuard Dogā breed, so its debatable on the argument they werenāt bred for aggressive purposes, depending on how you define āaggressiveā (defensive might be more appropriate here, but legally itād be defined as aggressive), but they werenāt explicitly bred for hunting / pursuing and war like Pit breeds were, so youāre right in terms of that part of it.

That is 50 shades of fucked up
Also @childofaura did red asphalt have a kid telling the story only to find out at the end heās in a wheelchair from the accident? Cause if so my school played it and I fucking REFUSED to watch it
Ooh, are we talking about traumatizing material in high school now? When I was either a freshman or a sophomore, our health teacher showed us some kind of driverās safety video called āRed Asphaltā (I think thatās what it was called). And it had no warnings on it or anything and it showed footage of dead bodies in car wrecks, including one whose head was literally touching their back. That image still fucks me up, to this day Iām still kind of pissed at the teacher for not at least warning us.
This reminds me of my high school where, since each senior was responsible for a 'senior project that would help the city', one group managed to team up with the local police to do a big assembly on drunk driving.
Complete with gruesome pictures, real audio from crash scenes, recorded interviews from people who survived but were horrifically maimed from such accidents and, the crowning piece, at the end of the assembly they rolled out a real coffin and asked everyone to look inside of it on their way out.
The gimmick, of course, being that there was a mirror inside.
Now, granted, that last part was kind of goofy for me in retrospect, but I know for a fact that some people get horrifically triggered by mentions of death: be it an internal fear or having just lost a loved one. And that assembly wasn't pre-announced, people didn't get a chance to opt out of it or anything.

So I'm genuinely curious: Any thoughts on all the live-action Sonic stuff the studio's been presenting?
#it's a video game movie by hollywood meaning it's bad until proven good#the little we've seen so far looks particularly bad but i cant say just how awful until we get real footage#if that one poster with the full body shot is real tho it's not AS bad as the first poster implied it could've been#childofaura#the tiger gets asks

I hate to say anything discourse related but if I hear one more celebrity tell us to virtually ādeal with itā in terms of gas prices, I am going to go apeshit. Your humor has been the only thing keeping me from completely losing it.
The nasty truth about late night 'comedians' and really a lot of wealthy celebrities is most of them don't actually give a shit about what normal people have to deal with on a day to day basis.
Sure thing georgie working Americans going paycheque to paycheque are good with their fuel bill going up by 50-80% as well as all the other associated increases because shipping costs go up too.
Wonder how much he's handing out to charity to help people.
Seriously wondering at what point the higher ups in the different liberal parties around the world decided that they hated poor people this much, Labour in the UK has popped off with some things that parallel this shit too.
After 2 years of destroying peoples livelihoods and then moving on to this it'll be a wonder if they can manage to hold on to 50% of the seats that are up for reelection this year. ____________________
Circling back around to the start, ya the talking heads need to figure out a better way to make jokes that doesn't involve rubbing their money in the faces of their audience.

@childofaura itās fine. I understand where youāre coming from even though Iām almost done playing the game itself and Iāve grown attached to all 4 Lords together even tho Diamant and Timerra remained my top favs Lords. (Sorry if I spoiled you on the fact that Iām almost done with the game š
)
But again, your opinions on the game, Alear in general and all 4 Lords are valid. I just hope that you have a wonderful day.
(P.S. Once I get through the final chapter (possibly by today or so), lāll post my opinions on the game in general)
So opinions of Alear aside and Iām not to sure how far you got into FE Engage butā¦
What are your opinions on all four Engage Lords: Alfred, Diamant, Ivy and Timerra? I personally think theyāre badasses and they are huggable, dorky best friend materials as well.
So far I JUST got Timerra. I am absolutely not a fan of the levels where you have to visit a houseā¦
To be honest, itās not necessarily that Alear is BAD, itās just that her character was executed so poorly. I did just get the A-support convo with Zelkov, and the fact that Alear is so fond of Zelkov that she starts imitating his speech pattern is actually pretty charming. If only her character design didnāt suck and she had more meaningful dynamics besides everyone kissing her ass all the time.
Ok so SO FAR, I do have opinions, and again these are personal opinions because a few may be unpopular.
Alfred: I feel really mixed about him. His personality doesnāt shine through strong enough in the main story and heās just generic prince. In his supports though? I think heās hilarious and I kind of wanted to see more of that in the main story. He could have been more in awe of Diamantās physique, asking the king about Brodiaās exercise secrets, etc. But they didnāt really do anything with that. Like Fogadoās personality really shows itself even in the cutscenes, Alfredāsā¦ meh.
Diamant: I REALLY hate to say it, but Diamant hasnāt shown much personality either, besides being serious. There was one moment I really liked, where he is up against Morion and he asks āWas I a good son?ā, something that suggests some level of insecurity. If weāre being honest, I actually feel like Alcryst is the stronger of the two characters. Heās super low self-esteem, meek, and timid, but thereās a beautiful strength hidden within him; his first appearance showed him bravely confronting Alear when he thought they were bandits, and when HE fights Morion, he says that he must be the one to kill Morion so the burden doesnāt fall on Diamantās shoulders.
Ivy: Iāll say this one upfront, I donāt like Ivy much at all (and thatās not just because sheās mean to Zelkov, though thatās part of it, lol). I didnāt like her creepy exchange with Alear during their first fight (āIf I show it [Emblem Ring] to you, will you come closerā or something like that) that showed some borderline obsessive tones (another reason I donāt like Alear being treated so highly). Sadly, again, I think Hortensia is the stronger personality of the two. She teases Alear maliciously the first time they meet, she loves her father and Ivy so much that sheāll do anything for both of them (she was so hardcore to avenge Ivy, AND HOT DAMN THE LINE DELIVERY OF THE JAPANESE ACTRESS WHEN SHE SAW HER FATHER DIE. BRUTAL), and sheās just more interesting overall. Though I will say in Ivyās defense, her support with Louis so far is very interesting and actually plays to the advantage of her apathetic character.
Timerraās ok overall, but I only just recruited her. I feel like if the game REALLY wanted us to grow attached to her, they should have switched her role with Fogadoās. She can still be the main lord with the Emblem, but make HER the one who saves Alear in the desert. Also gotta say, not a fan of the crazy singing, but thatās more based on me having the auts, so shrill singing is a no go for me, lmao.
Overall, I donāt think theyāre BAD, persay. Though I may not be the best person to ask, Iām not very partial to main-story lords and ladies most of the time (except Dimitri and to some extend the Fates royals), I usually discard them the moment I get to more interesting characters later in the story. I think I just wish their execution was a little better, but to be honest I think I just wish the execution in the whole game was better in general.
