god i love scavengers

Their quite weak bodies in comparison to the large beasts that populate Rain World means that they have to rely on dexterity, brains, and what I want to focus on, cooperation. Alone, they are quite useless, (I think we've all seen a Scavenger try to face a lizard head on in futility, as it's spear rebounds off its face) but in squads, they often prevail. No Scavenger in a confrontation is left useless. Unarmed Scavengers like to point towards incoming threats, acting as yet another pair of eyes for the army. More dominant and confident Scavengers face threats head on while their panicky pals lay back and ensure that the threat has no easy escape.

Their higher intelligence makes it so that they hold cooperation high above else. The Karma 3 symbol (which represents companionship) is everywhere, on their tolls, their masks...

On top of that, they just look fummy :) I love the sheer scrunkly energy that the Scavengers with pupils radiate.

As well as how surprisingly intimidating some can be (more specifically Elite Scavengers)
