Hello my dears!

(Not that anyone should really care about how much I post, but...) I apologize for the lack of posts/sea of queued posts over the last few days. I just got home from Chicago, and I cannot even put into words how amazing my first Fest was. But I'm going to try to anyways.

It was quite the experience, and there are some interesting stories to be told, to say the least. I'll sum those up this way: Jess and I crashed the Comic-Con after party and raved for the first time, an (intoxicated) elderly hippie with a dog named Abbey Road poked my tummy to explain why she liked my shirt, a (just as, if not more drunk) Ringo Starr look-a-like/impersonator informed me that he wanted to lick my eyes, and I now have an email pen-pal (not drunk Ringo, don't worry).

I essentially adventured around a hotel barefoot for three days surrounded by beautiful souls, music, and art - all because of the mark that the Beatles left on the world. We stayed up until at least 4am every night jamming to the music that brought us together, and I struggle to explain how amazing it was to celebrate the music that has changed my life and saved my sanity (on more than one occasion). I felt like I was both in heaven and coming home for the first time.

I will admit that I now find myself sad and nostalgic because it's over. But I will cherish these memories of my first Fest forever (whatup alliteration), and I look forward to coming home again in years to come.
