You said you like w.i.t.c.h well what did you think about each character?

I like them all.

At some point I disliked Will for hogging too much spotlight, like the Kandrakar’s heart amulet with its generic pink powers of goodness is often the deus-ex-machina solution to many situations, and I felt that Will’s special connection to it made the other four girls into less important bystanders a bit too often, but overall I find that the series managed to balance its cast pretty well (especially if you compare it to pretty much every other series with a magical girl team that I know). Like even in just the first arc Will gets the magic amulet, but Hay Lin gets the magic map and a magic grandma, while Cornelia has special connections to the Dark Magical Girl.

I didn’t care too much for Taranee when I was younger since her more calm and stable personality came across as somewhat boring to me, but later I’ve really grown to appreciate how refreshing it is that for once the character with the fire powers isn’t the energetic and reckless loudmouth. I also really like the arc where she temporarily quits the team but without any stupid drama (since she has perfectly valid reasons).

And I also really like Irma, Cornelia and Hay Lin and think they’re well written characters; Irma and Cornelia make a great duo with their conflicting personalities and Hay Lin has always been my favourite character with her carefree and artsy personality. But I’d have to reread the story to say anything more interesting about them.

Overall I think that the character writing is one of W.i.t.c.h.’s greatest strengths. The characters react differently to the situations they’ve been put into, act independently, disagree on what to do at times, and have different relationships with each other (and not just with the main character). Though as far as I can remember as the series goes on and on they become more of the generic friendly mess as what is common with many other magical girl teams, and the arguments they have get more repetitive and boring when they need to disagree on something again just to have some conflict in the story.

I remember you said you really disliked wine club, and I’m curious to ask why. ( I liked as a kid but I grew to really dislike it as I got older Namely for bloom and her relationship with sky and how unhealthy I found it with her rampant jealousy and how it was never addressed.)

Assuming you mean Winx, it’s just that I didn’t find anything interesting about it or anything that would have made it feel worth it to continue watching, and I really disliked Bloom (but I can’t remember the reason any more). So I never saw more than a few episodes.

I did watch and I can’t stand that prick. It kept popping up in my recommended videos until I caved and watched it and it was worse than I could have possibly imagined. He doesn't like the fans which morphed into him taking it out on the character to stroke his superiority complex and just gross. This is just the tip of the iceberg, and I sincerely hope nothing ever pushes us to the point where we get actually pissed off. We try to be nice and friendly but picture this blog like a house. It’s our house and we invite people in to come sit on our couch and hang out, then someone pisses on our rug right in front of us. A firm stop it is a lot better than us kicking everyone out, y’know? 

We can get angry, like, really angry. I almost deleted the entire blog at one point when I got mad at inconsiderate people, this is about the nicest way I’ve handled rude people. Long story short, people should be more understanding that when we say requests aren’t open, they don’t get to try and sneak one in. Still salty for the lack of shirtless shinji lol (although what we got was mm!)

In theory, we could edit a shirtless Shinji ourselves. Other characters have shirtless bodies that we can kind of Frankenstein together to make it. I haven’t done it yet because I’ve been worried about his proportions, but we’ll see!! God knows I want it!

And in the future, I plan to make a cross-dressing Shinji, probably like the P4 protagonist's and make him a Sukeban girl type style - Mod Velvet

In regards to preppy pink characters which ones are your fav and least favorite? Or rather it would be the ones you find most tolerable to the worst. (Ichigo from Tokyo mew new is one of my least favorites...)

Hmmm… I guess I’ve never seen lower than Mana from DokiPre, but then there’s also Yuuna from YuYuYu who I also find insufferable, but who at least fits the story better thematically and isn’t worshiped by the narrative as much. But since I find DokiPre so lacking anyway Mana ruining it even further isn’t much of a loss, while YuYuYu I’d actually want to like more but can’t due to Yuuna, so I don’t know whose damage is bigger.

A step higher we have Megumi from HapiCha and Ichika from KiraKira who I dislike for the same reasons as Mana but who aren’t quite as extreme as her. And a half step up is Lucia from Mermaid Melody and Ichigo who I mostly find just bland and generic.

Komugi from Nurse Witch Komugi Chan R I found mostly forgettable rather than actively annoying, and that series didn’t really use a similar team structure for the magical girls as the others listed here so she didn’t feel like a spotlight hog to me (at least as far as I can remember).

At the other end I really liked Haruka from GoPri, and Madoka has a great twist in how she originally started as a more generic cheerful and friendly girl but changed due to Homura’s magic. Also I liked the pink girl from Popin Q because she had a character arc that had some edge to it (though she wasn’t memorable enough for me to memorise her name). 

Also worth noting that it’s not the colour pink that makes me dislike these characters and it’s more about the character type and how they’re written and how the other characters are treated in comparison, and they just happen to be often colour-coded in pink. For example I don’t like Hikaru from MKR largely for similar reasons even if her theme colour is red.

One thing I gotta say to all the people are are giving femc fans shit is this, “Eat it!” Or I just use their salt to season the worlds popcorn cuz goddamn son there is a lot of salt LOL

Come to think of it I’m working on a design for an older Ken for a p3 project. He’s like 18-20 in story. He and Shinji are the hardest characters to design >___

If I were you, I would look into their concept art designs, that could help you see what the artists at ATLUS were going for in the past that you could reincorporate into them for your fan project. That way it can keep some of the spirit and style. For Ken it might be best to look at concept art from P4AU, since in that one he’s a bit older and you can work on adapting things to age him up even further!! I hope this helps!! - Mod Velvet

Either way, it was something I was thinking about ever since I saw they put a hoodie on Shinji. I’m a good person who goes to bed on time (5 am) and I want to bask in that blessed body. Same with Yusuke. At some point, I am editing that sweater off of him so we can all enjoy in what the Gods intended us to. - Mod Velvet
