Back to work Monday! Missing the best halo halo in the Philippines (Chew Love's Gold digger). That should be the perfect mood maker, chasing the Monday blues and dark clouds away. 🍧 Not to mention, also their very instagrammable interior! 😉 . . . #chewlove #tacloban #taclobaneats #vacation #chewlovetacloban #golddigger #halohalo #itsmorefuninthephilippines (at Chew Love Tacloban)

Hi guys! I have been idle and I am sorry. I was supposed to blog this one last night but then I was so sleepy and tired that I just had to save it for today. Oh well. This was yesterday at Chew Love in Tacloban City. I was with my friends from UP Tacloban and they just started their classes yesterday. As you all know, the UP System changed their school calendar and “synced” it with the school calendar in the US and all of the other countries out there. Thus, since it was their first day, we got to hang out on a Monday (badasses be like) plus I also got to experience a little bit of the UP life because I got to go on a little tour of the UP Tacloban Campus.
Anyway, my flight was supposed to be at 6 in the morning yesterday. I was already at the check-in counter when I found out that my mom had bought me the wrong plane ticket. Ugh. It was really the ticketing office’s fault since my mom wasn’t even aware that she had bought me a ticket that was a day early than my actual departure. I had to buy a new ticket. Hay. I clearly had no choice. Good thing our class got cancelled yesterday. God really has a reason for everything!
So I had to spend the rest of my day in Tacloban City. Thank goodness my aunt was there with me or else I would be stuck in the airport not knowing what to do since my new flight schedule was still at 4 in the afternoon. We went to my grandma’s place and had breakfast there. I was feeling a bit constipated so I didn’t really eat anything.
My classmates then texted me to have lunch with them at this place called Chew Love. The place looked amazing and the ambiance was just cozy. I mean it was really fun and preppy and girly and maybe a little romantic. The names on their menu was really catchy and funny. They had names like "Cheeky Feeling" which was grilled chicken barbecue (the one I had and is presented above) and "Chick Flick" which was chicken in white vietnamese sauce. They also had names like "I’m NACHO girl" and "MUDly In Love" among others.
They also had a list of various refreshments that tasted sooooo good. I had the blue lemonade and it was perfect! Some of my friends got their pink apple lemonade and they said it tasted amazing too. I also loved the fact that they used Ladie’s Choice’s jars for their drinks. It’s really creative and resourceful.
The food, you ask? It was delicious. I think it was one of those perfect places to grab a bite on an empty stomach. The barbeque that I got tasted so lovely that I didn’t want to share it with anyone! It was all mine! Hahaha. My friend also told me that the food that they got tasted fantabulous. We were actually saying things like “oooh, the food tates good” while eating.
Wow. So this particular blog post turned out to be a Restaurant Review. Oops. Sorry. But be sure to check them out when you guys are in Tacloban City. The food is great and the place is great, just make sure to bring your bestest friends and a positive attitude and you’ll have a helluva fun dining experience here at Chew Love.
