- ethan is possessive to the extreme. he plays nice but is such a possessive bf. he keeps an arm around chads waist if they are standing around, letting people know he’s taken.

- ethan has multiple polaroid photos of chad. most without his knowledge

- expanding on a hc from last time. ethan is a biter. he likes to bite chad and mark him up. he loves to leave bruises on his hips and little marks all over his body. it’s to the point that chad looks like he lost a fight

- even before getting together, they always slept on the same mattress. there was a mishap and the school didn’t have enough, so they made due. chad gets too hot and ethan is too cold. they end up waking up cuddling. chad is practically sweating and ethan is content

- ethan has been spotted stalking chad. mindy thinks it’s extremely weird and chad just goes “but he has separation anxiety, it’s okay.”

- within the fist week of knowing each other, ethans thoughts went from violent to possessive. he wanted to keep chad for himself

- they are always touching each other in some way. holding hands or laying on each other. ethan always has to have his hands on chad

- ethan is sickly sweet with pet names. he calls chad “my beloved” and “my love”, etc etc. anything with “my” before it (thanks @stringischeese for this hc)

- even before they got together mindy thought they were together

- being with chad makes ethan softer, but not any less psychotic 

- ethan rigged the raffle to get close to chad. he did it to inact the plan, and instead he fell in love and lust with his target

- before they got together, mindy made a joke asking how ethan was in bed. chad replied with how amazing he was. he’d never seen her so red. they aren’t sleeping together at all. chad just made the joke to fuck with mindy.

- ethan was behind him. mindy laughed so hard her stomach hurt. ethan was jaw dropped and chad was mortified but kept on joking to save face. and ethan couldn’t stop thinking about having his way with chad after that.

- ethan gets off using the photos he has of chad. he loves the ones where he looks the most vulnerable and had no clue that ethan was watching him

- ethan rarely likes people. his mood is sour until chad walks into the room, then his whole world lights up. he follows chad around like a lost puppy

- ethan is fairly sweet to chad. he never imagined himself tolerating someone enough to like them. but chad came around and ethan is obsessed with him. crazy in love

i try to keeps hcs kinda close to canon or else they don’t make sense to me (personally). ethan is really creepy and a literal killer. he is definitely creepy and obsessive towards chad. he hates people. i think he can be sweet and caring, it just depends. but he’s always nicer to chad than anyone else.

Okay so NO ONE JUDGE ME OVER HERE. But I've been reading some chethan fics... And I've had some thoughts. (Obviously, spoilers for Scream VI).

It really just happened by accident, there was that fic that popped up on the Avatar ao3 page someone wrote of the Avatar characters reacting to Scream VI, like an alternate version of Spider. In that fic I don't believe Ethan is ghostface, but I don't remember fully.

So I had known in passing people shipped Ethan and Chad, and I got curious as to their Ethan isn't ghostface versions, because as I said in a post recently that movie was held up by fantastic action scenes and great ideas, and dragged down by some weak ghostface reveals. Especially when compared to how strong the reveals were in Scream (2022). Anyways, I found some really interesting stuff on there, fics where Ethan is not ghostface but Quinn and his dad are, making it like a massive betrayal, and usually the dad and Richie were super abusive to Ethan and what not. I find that kinda interesting as a plot, it makes it like ghostface Richie was his tormentor for decades before he ever was to the core four, but he's still a suspect and they still can't trust him fully. I don't know, I think it makes it more complex and better motivations for the killers, the screenwriters really should've let me give them notes on the script before they started filming. All irrelevant, really, because Ethan's character was actually a dirty filthy murderer, but still. Could've been used better.

BUT ANYWAYS, the point of this is to say; has there really been no Scream AU Avatar fic? Like it seems to me like that shit is just sitting here waiting to be made. Like, half of you all are just Jack Champion fangirls so you have seen both. Idk, I read a couple chethan fics and the character fanon-Ethan has morphed into is really kinda Spider coded, so it writes itself. I can tell you the plot easy, right now.

Ethan is in constant conflict about how he feels about Chad

he played football in high school and he flirts with girls like it’s nothing and he high fives people when walking to class and everybody loves him

and Ethan resents him for the fact that everybody loves him when most people don’t even like Ethan

because even when he wasn’t sitting with his shoulders in, trying to act as non threatening as possible, with insecure virgin comments and cardboard costumes

before richie died and he didn’t have to play a part for some big scheme to get revenge, when he would act closer to who he really was

people didn’t like him then either

no one would high five him in the hallways or think about him with fondness

no body would talk about him the way he was sure they would talk about chad

and he hates to admit it but he’s jealous of it

that everyone loves chad

but he’s living with the guy and he’s supposed to make friends with him

and no matter how much he doesn’t want to see it he sees why people love chad so much

chad shakes his shoulders and makes him laugh

chad offers to buy him lunch and puts his arm around his shoulders while they walk to class

chad calls him cute and when ethan was sick chad made him chicken soup

they live together for six months and he sees Chad sitting on the floor puking into the toilet hungover and still saying please and thank you when Ethan gets him advil and water

he’s jealous of chad for how much love he gets but he loves him just as much as everyone else does

he hates him too though

not when he’s flirting with girls or talking about football or whatever bullshit

he hates him the most when he’s sitting next to Mindy

and their both smiling and laughing at each other

and Sam and Tara are across from them just as happy

looking like a family

ethan sees chad in those moments and he hates him

he hates seeing chad laughing eating dinner with his family

when ethan won’t ever have that again
