Hi choni and riverdale fanfic writing and reading people.

Since BLM is trending now I was going to bring back a post I made a few years ago about problematic tropes for black women/femmes I was seeing in a concerningly , like 85% , amount of riverdale and specifically choni fanfics. The term for it is misogynoir which is misogyny only related to black women/femmes. The main way it is shown is writing aggressive, overly sexual young black characters who aren’t allowed to be vulnerable or have their own stories. Also If we critique the actual show about it, which a lot of people do and which makes it more confusing,we should also be keeping that energy in fanfics.

When they(finally) separate Bulldog is staring at them with wide( mostly turned on) eyes.

“Didn’t know that was your girl Topaz.”

“Yeah she’s mine. Shouldn’t you be making vodka sodas or something.” She says gesturing to the bar around them.

And as expected he walks away with his tail between his fucking legs, but not before he takes one last bit so subtle look at Cheryl’s chest.

Her blood boils but nevertheless, she lets it go.

Because Cheryl is looking at her with straight up “fuck me” eyes.

“Someone’s jealous.” Cheryl smirks

And Toni blushes and stammers and feigns ignorance until red nails are lifting her chin and she’s staring at soft brown eyes.

“Don’t worry. Jealous Toni is hot as hell.”

And she’s biting her lip in the most devilishly innocent way when she says:

“Home?”

“Definently.”

HC 🎃: going on a haunted house tour (with actors in it, like a made up haunted house) with Fangs Fogarty. You both are real chickens but you take all your courage to do it (maybe it's a bet from Choni? Idk. Fangs goes in to be your support (and impress you, since he lowkey flirts with you for a while now). And you both don't know that Sweet Pea's new job is acting in that house (disguised as a monster too). And when he sees you both going trough the house holding each others (you BOTH are very frightened) Sweet Pea does his best to try to help you both out of it (so he protects you for others jumpscares). But Sweet Pea kinds of forget that he is still in disguise so for Fangs and you its like a creepy monster following you and random punching props/shoving others monsters away (sweet pea the protector 🧡). That scares both of you even more. Fangs and you run out screaming (one of you even stumble/fall into a random object and destroy some decor by accident). And CherylxToni, waiting for you both to comes out, see you running away, hand in hand with Fangs, from a big monster disguised (and they laugh about it knowing that it is Sweet Pea)

But now at least Fangs is holding your hand. Hahaha
