The way I see it is that blocking is the only way to cultivate how YOU want to interact with tumblr. Especially with people who spam the celebrity tags with non sense posts.

I see tumblr as my escape, so if someone or something is ruining that peace then… block block block.

I recommend blocking the gossip blogs. It’s the only way to get past their bullshit and get to the stories. For whatever reason, tumblr promotes their cramp more than writers.

Every now and then a non gossip blog will spam the tag with silly bs, but blocking people doesn’t hurt them and they’ll likely never know if you don’t interact with them.

It’s saved the Chris Evans tag for me because it is so freaking annoying to not find anything in there.
