Y’know, I only find out this was a meme recently thanks to Izzzyzzz and I find it really odd that it even exists? Like, not Mordecai/Twilight shipping that spawned it, I’ve been on the internet long enough to know this shit just happens sometimes; but specifically that this song would get attached to a romantic meme. 

Like, Airplanes isn’t a romantic song. It’s about nostalgia and how B.o.B. wished he could go back to a simpler time in his life before things got to complicated with the rap game. 

It feels like whoever made that original Twilight/Mordecai drawing didn’t know any of the lyrics outside of the chorus (Happens all the time, really) and since Hayley Williams featured, assumed that a song with both a man and a woman on it had to be a love song. 

And the chorus could definitely be read as romantic when you take it out of context.
