if ppl in the tags of that post abt portal 2 are referring to me in regards to my comments on chell/glados i do feel the need to stress that it's not at all an incompatible reading of the text as it stands. i'm just SAYING... that fanon seems to hyperfocus on the pain glados experienced herself rather than the pain she very readily inflicted onto chell. she's a victim, yes, but she's also a perpetrator, too. that's how the cycle of abuse plays out, unfortunately. she was right to kill those scientists for treating her the way they did before and after the fact, but was she in the right to try and kill chell, even after all of her personality spheres were destroyed? portal 2 has her come to terms with that and lets chell go in the process so she can break the cycle for good, sending her off with an absolutely heartwrenching message in the form of cara mia addio. like that shit is GAY. undoubtedly and wholeheartedly. but chell's there, too, and she deserves consideration as well 😭

Okay, here goes nothing! I'm working on a text project for Caroline Appreciation day, which is coming up next week. It's all written out, actually, but I'd really appreciate it if I could discuss it with someone, like a beta-reader, before publishing it. It's only around 13.4k words long, so it's bound to get shorter with editing.

Extra info: it contains one-sided ChellDOS/Chelline (depending on interpretation), is pretty headcanon-heavy (though I do my best to stick to canon and give it priority), and it's mostly introspective stuff. As someone whose texts are usually very dialogue-heavy, this approach is very new to me, so any and all earnest feedback would be very welcome! I can take criticism, so I'd like to think I'm easy to work with. As a final detail, I'm Europe-based, in the interest of time zone shenanigans.

Long answer: (im assuming you asked this due to my header) So essentially about a year or more ago, before i started to socially transition online (mostly on tumblr) my header used to have my fake internet name, which right now is also my internet deadname. Anyway at some point i started experimenting with she/her pronouns, as one does, and eventually i decided that i wanna start using the name "Carla". My url and profile still went at that point by my deadname so i mustered as much creativity as i could (read: not that much in the grand scheme of things) and came up with my current url as of writing this post (undead-dreams-of-overmorrow) and had then to come up with a new header. Because portal was one of the few fandoms i was in at that time and because chelldos was my favourite ship and because i was a lesbian i decided fuck it "chelldos made me who i am"

i don't think so, i haven't heard of that person at all until now! for my chelldos piece you're talking about i mostly just wanted to show how glados and chell would kiss/cuddle each other, respectively, despite glados's only facial feature being an eye
