Despite my ramblings about anime, I'm going to watch Bring It On because I've been looking for it everywhere and have the line "You're a cheertator, Torrence!" repeating in my head

This week was WILD
Hisam winning both HOH AND veto, making him a big target, only to make himself a bigger target by turning into a cheertator, everyone fighting on whether Reilly or Cameron should get evicted, then coming together to go off on cbs for not giving matt proper accommodations, witnessing multiple flips happen as well as the chaos that unfolded, tumblr breaking, and lastly the pressure cooker announcement? It was a good week to be a Big Brother fan

"Let's get one thing straight: This is not a cheerocracy. I am the Cheertator. I make the cheercisions around here, and I will deal with the cheeronsequences.
Is that cheer?" Like clear, but- but cheer.

"knowing that whites can always play up the delicacy or ‘voice of reason" you hit the nail on the head friend! that's exactly what they're doing + i've seen it so many times that i can pick up on it instantly. i'm sure you can too. it's just as exhausting to deal with it online.i just hate seeing everyone praise them for being funny since their sort of nonchalant, i dont care attitude is seen as cool on tumblr. it's good having you and shay being the voices of reason on here :) ty ladies!
@obsessiveshayme ohhh yes, Shay’s been on here longer than I have but honestly people like that tend to give themselves away, the ones who are looking to call the shots about a fandom.
And the funniest thing is that no amount of feigned nonchalance can counteract those people obsessively stalking your blog and talking about you non-stop for days. They care an enormous amount what people think of them and become fixated on anyone who doesn’t like them.
The cheer issues in this cheerocracy will be decided by the people, not by the cheertator!

teen penelope’s birthday is coming soon and she is so used to people forgetting it that she can’t help but be surprised when hermione asks her how is she going to celebrate it and if she has a wishlist!!!
Penelope slides the hair tie off her wrist and pulls her hair up into a tight bun. Tucking the strays behind her ear, she checks her reflection in the mirror one last time before shutting her locker closed and reaching down to pick up her bag. She’s about to head out of the girl’s locker room when Hermione, one of the few girls still there, calls out to her.
“Hey! Ginger Rogers!”
Penelope rolls her eyes before turning to face the perpetrator of her eternal torment.
“Yes?” she asks, irritation evident in her tone.
“So I was thinking…the big game’s only a few days away and some of these bimbos still don’t hav the routine down. I will not have us looking like fools in front of those Baxter High skanks.”
“So what do you propose we do?”
Hermione edges closer to Penelope, hands crossed firmly across her chest, “I say we hold an emergency practice at my place this Sunday. 10:00 a.m. sharp, attendance mandatory. We’ll practice until everyone gets the routine right, however long that takes. Anyone who decides to skip out has to run six laps around the football field on Monday.”
Penelope’s face falls, “Sunday?”
“Yes, Sunday. November 1st. Do I have to spell it out for y— oh. Oh, that’s your birthday, isn’t it?”
Penelope’s looks up from her tennis shoes. Hermione remembers her birthday?
“Yeah,” she nods, “but it’s fine, I can—”
“Do you have any plans?” Hermione’s tone is softer now, less cheertator-like.
Penelope shakes her head.
“Seriously? You’re not going to celebrate your own birthday?”
“I don’t feel like doing anything this year,” Penelope lies.
“Well, do you at least want some cupcakes or something? My mom can bake us some and we can have them once practice is over.”
Penelope shifts her weight onto her left leg. Since when was Hermione nice to her?
“Thanks, but I don’t want to trouble your mom.”
Hermione rolls her eyes, “You’re the most tragic person I’ve ever met, you know that? We’re having cupcakes whether you like it or not.”
She reaches down for her monogrammed duffel bag and swings it over her shoulder.
“You have until tomorrow to tell me what flavor you want. Otherwise it’ll be my choice, and you know I always pick chocolate.”
She turns to walk out but Penelope calls after her.
“Strawberry,” she decides, “Strawberry frosting with vanilla cake. I don’t like chocolate.”
“Got it,” Hermione returns, offering her best military salute for good measure. “See you tomorrow.”
Penelope’s lips curl into a smile. She couldn’t wait till Sunday.

Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" Music Video Will Reference "Legally Blonde," "Mean Girls," "13 Going on 30," and "Bring It On"
Tumblr media
Ariana Grande has officially revealed the last piece to the puzzle, and the fourth movie she's recreating for her "Thank U, Next" music video. And she's transforming into full cheertator mode: She's Torrance, your captain Torrance!
The singer tweeted a photo of herself dressed as a Rancho Carne Toro, from Bring It On. (Don't act like you don't know the opening cheer by heart, because I do, too.) Her caption read, "‘I transferred from los angeles, your school has no gymnastics team this issaalast resort ........ ok i’ve never cheered before so what?'" She also shared a photo of the updated true heroes of the movie East Compton Clovers (renamed the Lovers), and also enlisted help for the other Toros in the background. It's yet to be determined if Sparky Polastri was at all involved.
Get your spirit fingers ready, but be prepared to wait: Ariana also mentioned the video is "not coming this weekend yet and i'll tell u more things."
Since Ariana Grande dropped “Thank U, Next” earlier this month, arguably the whole world has been obsessed with the breakup anthem. And it looks like the music video for the bop will soon reach our screens — complete with references to not one or two but FOUR iconic ‘00s romantic comedies.
Ari is the queen of building up anticipation, but she's also the queen of mercilessly hinting at her next move. On Nov. 19, she set the internet ablaze with a photo of her kissing her cousin with various Mean Girls nods sprinkled all over social media. "All of this is tea. Only a tiny sip tho...tbc. And by a tiny sip, I literally mean tiny...like 25% of the cup," she teased.
As it turns out, the references were indeed a hint about the forthcoming "Thank u, next" music video. And we now basically have another 50% of the tea confirmed by Ariana herself.
First off (alongside Mean Girls) is Reese Witherspoon's 2001 classic Legally Blonde, as she’s confirmed in multiple Instagram posts. One photo shows Ari on a treadmill (or elliptical, hard to tell) with Apple’s 1999 original orange iBook (yes, the exact same one Elle Woods outstandingly rocks at Harvard Law). The pic is accompanied by Elle’s infamous quote, “Whoever said orange is the new pink is seriously disturbed”, as the caption.
But it looks like Ari’s not alone when it comes to stepping into Elle's shoes, as she also shared a snap of her beloved Toulouse à la Bruiser Woods, casually chilling in a pool lounger. Iconic. Ari also posted a photo with actor Jennifer Coolidge, clad in her Paulette regalia, while sporting a fluffy pink top, which she captioned "new best friend .... thank u, next."
We can’t wait to see what antics Paulette and Ari Woods get up to in this portion of the video, but we also know Ari will be channelling her inner Jennifer Garner (a.k.a. Jenna Rink) in 13 Going on 30. (Who knows, maybe we’ll even get Noah Centineo as young Mark Ruffalo? We should be so lucky.)
Ari has already confirmed that Mean Girls, Legally Blonde and 13 Going on 30 make up 75% of the visual references in “Thank u, next” on her Instagram Stories twice today. “Ok, you guessed the third! but there’s still one more so no tea. Tomorrow,” she wrote alongside a collage of the three iconic films.
One thing is sure: we love this kind of math, and we can’t wait until tomorrow to finally figure out the whole equation. Thank you again, "Thank u, next."
