Beacon's resident Mean Girl team and the spiritual successors to CRDL, Team SLVR.

Their leader Alaska Starbuck is a tough as nails country girl with a soft spot for her girls, books, and her coonskin cap. Hailing from Vaccuo near the boarder with Vale she was raised by her father who did his best to instill honest and civil virtues into her, hoping she wouldn't fall into the same vices he had at her age. Unfortunately many of his lessons failed to stick and once she found herself alone in a frustrating new environment the worst parts of her began to shine with very few outside of team SLVR being free from her wrath.

Loyal Morgan is the team's mascot and sole cheerleader, easily being the least malicious member of the team despite her agreeable nature meaning she almost always takes part in the antics thought up by Alaska and Aethelflad. Loyal is an affectionate, excitable, and true to her name Loyal young woman willing to go above and beyond for her friends... It just so happens that her friends are some of the meanest girls to ever attend Beacon without turning into actual villains... oops.

The unique style of Vera Hellbraun is one that many fail to comprehend, blending the clashing styles of Gyaru and Emo, applying both a fake spray tan and black eyeliner to create an aesthetic that while hard to grasp is certainly her own. Vera is the team's recensions unit, with her ear on the ground thanks to her gossip tendencies and her semblance warning her of any approaching Aura. Much like her leader she's a bit of a book nerd, but where Alaska loves all fiction she has a preference for dark love tales involving Vampires, and movies with Vampires, and games wi- okay she just really likes Vampires.

Aethelflad Reading is, like most of her team a bit unusual, her strong accent making her already difficult to comprehend to comprehend nature all the more strange. Unlike Alaska who prefers to let her strength speak for her Aeth prefers to tear you down with words, easily picking up on your insecurities and using them to tear you down brick by brick. Easily being the most malicious member of the team but can be shockingly personable when she wants to be, granted "when she wants to be" is typically reserved for when she's with her friends, little sister, or whatever piece of eye candy she's trying to drag into bed that night.

As soon as Nico is done in Camp Jupiter after seeing Percy, he goes to his brother to complain and whine. Zagreus knows when something is caused by his aunts and uncles being stupid nearly as well as he can tell his father is doing something stupid. Zagreus also pokes in on the quest to Alaska to think them for saving his boyfriend and meet his Roman sister.

God Nico breaking Hazel out of the underworld and Zag being their ultimate cheerleader. Like decades of Zag meeting with Hazel in Asphodel and trying everything he can to get her pardoned but he can’t and it is killing him. Then one day he’s on a run and she’s gone. He’s not too proud to admit that he panics. Bianca has the choice of rebirth and it definitely ached something fierce when she took it but he knows she will make it back the next two times she needs to make it to isle of the blessed. But Hazel? She should be as bound as he is. As trapped. There is no escape. He’s terrified he will be the one sent after her. He knows the defenses the best after all. He would be the to scour the underworld but… the order never comes.

What does come is his little brother, wild eyed and terrified as he tumbles out of a shadow rambling on about how he “fucked up bad this time zag but I can’t leave her gods how could I leave her she deserved more she needs out she-“

(He’s glad one of them got to escape. He’s glad she got to see the surface. Maybe she’ll find that horse she always told him about.)

He has a special interest in the quest to Alaska. Both because his other little sibling is headed for the place she died and because someone took Thanatos. He pops in more than a few times and gets to stay longer because dying isn’t exactly working for anyone right now even him.

Ooc: There is a difference between how Wilbur and Oves approached it though. Notice that Alaska only reciprocated when Oves stopped trying to fuck him constantly. He opened up when Oves gave him the space to. Wilbur has only wanted to fuck him

So some of my favourite series are the divergent series, the hunger game series, the harry potter series, the skyward series, and the cherub series. My favourite standalone novels are looking for alaska, the time traveler's wife, The cheerleaders, the queen of evil, maybe a fox, even if we break and this is where it ends. I've just been reading a brief history of time by Stephen hawking and I've just begun eragon and the lord of the rings.

🚢 The Perilous Journey: If you could pick one place to travel, where would you go?

I met my best friend when we were 11. She moved to my hometown from Alaska, and she was a new student in my math class. We crossed paths again when she came to my middle school youth group. We connected with each other because we were both "book nerds" who liked to talk about Harry Potter and the Lunar Chronicles and other such middle-grade series. We did everything together as teenagers, including running a really cringe youtube channel, where I wrote the scripts and she did the video editing, and we both acted alongside pulling in our younger brothers to use as extras.

She's extroverted, was a theater kid in high school, did cheerleading in college, and is just a very bubbly and kind person. The sort of person who makes a good customer service rep because she just radiates friendly-sounding tone of voice and smiles. She can have a bit of a temper sometimes and is chronically late. She got diagnosed with ADHD in college while I got diagnosed with autism.

Now she lives in the midwest and just graduated with a degree in multimedia editing and production. I have an English degree and am in grad school to become a librarian. So we both ended up pursuing the same strengths we put to use in our cringe YouTube channel :)

absolutely I can but I'll do it under a cut incase people don't wanna know.

there's also no dates for when i'll have any of these out so i apologise for that. many of the titles are also wips.

the price we pay (title is a wip) is a first person, JJ-pov following Lauren, only there was no scheme, Emily is dead and we see JJ try to grapple with that grief.

i hope you dance is an Emily centric, Hotchners future AU in which she and Hotch are married, Jack, Ava and Livvy all exist but Hotch has just died.

so much for summer love (title is a wip) looks at Emily and Hotch as they were when Hotch worked for Elizabeth, and the consequences of that relationship years after the fact.

changes is a JJ-centric again, set after she finds out she's pregnant, when she travels back to her hometown in an attempt to figure out what she should do. should only be a few chapters.

uptown girl is a high school AU in which Emily is the rich cheerleader and Hotch is the social outcast. very much notebook/early 2000 romantic tragedy/comedy vibes.

all our broken pieces (title is a wip) is a friends-to-lovers fic in which we see Hotch be there for Emily through all of her tumultuous relationships.

Bau camping trip is a flashback/flash forward Hotchners AU fic in which we see the BAU go camping in 2007, and then again in 2025.

the alaska wip (doesn't have a title yet) is an enemies-to-lovers case that takes place in Alaska, and Emily and Hotch get lost alone in the wilderness.

Valerie Ingorvaia: Missing

Valerie Ingorvaia is a 5'6" 38 year old Hispanic mother from San Antonio, Texas who went missing on November 29, 2019. She was last seen with a man named Chance Stelzig, who was charged after Valerie went missing for beating a 46 year old man to death with a bat which had occurred weeks before Valerie went missing. After leading police on a high speed car chase, they caught up with him and charged him. Mysteriously, though, the DA dropped all charges the week before his trial was set to start.

Valerie went to Fort Worth to spend Thanksgiving with her cousin, who she hadn't seen in awhile. She showed up with an unannounced guest - Chance - who her cousin had never met before, and neither had anyone else. She introduced him as a friend. Her cousin said she didn't like Chance, because he showed no appreciation for anything. She mentioned to Valerie's mother and sister that it seemed like Valerie was afraid to leave the house with him. But she did - leaving early at 2:30 am on Black Friday. She was heading back to her home in San Antonio in Chance's car when she went missing. But before she did, she called her mom and was crying. Her mother, wondering why she was crying so early in the morning, asked what was wrong. She said to tell her kids that she loved them and that she was scared. Her mom, tracking her phone, saw that she was at a Texaco gas station at 7:28. At 10:22 am her phone was shut off.

Her sister Roxanne found it unbelievable she would turn her phone off, because Valerie liked to play Pokémon Go. "She would never do that - she needs to hatch eggs." But her phone was off. Her mom called the cousin Valerie had been visiting and told her to call 911. But the cousin was resistant. "I asked her, 'Are you involved or something?' It was weird. I told her to call police or I would go up there myself. She reluctantly called but didn't want to speak to us after. And we didn't want to speak to her anymore. Who needs family like that? I've had enemies treat me better," said her mom.

They tracked her phone - which was now cracked - on the side of the road, with someone seeming to purposely have covered it with dirt and leaves so it would be harder to find. Not far from the phone were clothes that belonged to Valerie, and they were caked in dry blood. When they called police, her mom said they didn't even seem to care about the clothes and were more interested in the phone. So her mom bagged the clothes up herself and took pictures of where everything had been found.

In a very ill-advised turn of events, Chance denied ever knowing her to police after she went missing. Everyone thought this was very stupid, since Valerie had multiple photos of her with Chance on her Facebook.

Of Valerie and her family, sister Roxanne said:

Both of my parents worked full time and raising four kids can be a hassle, but our parents would rotate hours so wouldn't have to miss any events we were at in school.

My sister Valerie was outgoing and bubbly like me. She was someone who would just accept you for you. Sometimes I would say to her she was too friendly. But Valerie would just respond, 'Oh you don't know what they've been through, maybe they just lost their job. It doesn't hurt to be kind.' I loved her. Growing up she was part of the cheerleading team - she was a cheer leader and she was co-captain of the dance team. She was an old soul, a free loving spirit. She liked going out dancing and she loved horror movies, ever since she was a kid. And by crazy coincidence, all her babies are October babies. She drove a motorcycle and she liked going on drives, and you know, making friends with everybody. She was a people person, which she got from our mom. My mom is like my sister; she would give you the shirt off her back. Whatever she had, she would share it with you.

Valerie was a bartender but she also had other jobs. Her first husband was in the military, and they moved to Alaska for two years [for his job] and she hated it. She said, 'You know, moose come stick their heads in the window like in the movies.' She said she missed Texas - specifically this bubblegum soda called Big Red, and she missed barbacoa.

Unfortunately, her husband became abusive. She was pregnant with my nephew and she told me he hit her. She fell all the way down the staircase and said she couldn't remember how she got there. In 2000 she gave birth to my nephew, but in 2004 they separated.

She had a brain leisure that caused her to have seizures, which we think was from from her husband beating her. She took medication for it everyday otherwise would get tremors and then we'd have to put a popstickle stick in her mouth so she wouldn't bite her tongue. As long as she took her medication she was fine. But when she was on the seizure medication, she knew she couldn't drink.

She was a daily weed smoker though. She was doing well and going back to school when she went missing. We're a very open family and she told us everything, and she was living with me in San Antonio. She told us she was going spend Thanksgiving this year in Fort Worth at the house of her cousin Vee who she hadn't seen in awhile. She said she needed some me time and we understood that because we all need me time at times.

Vee told Roxanne she wasn't expecting a guest and she had never met Chance, so the whole thing was awkward. And Vee said Valerie hadn't told anybody how they met.

We want police to start taking this case seriously and do something about the fact that Chance was the last person to have seen my sister alive and we believe he had involvement in her going missing. Her kids are wondering everyday where their mother is and why authorities don't seem to care about finding her.

Well Well Well

If it isn't my old friend, the written word. Put on your best record, pour yourself a favorite libation, and get ready because we have literal years to catch up on.

Here are a few things my future self might want to look back on. A fill-in-the-gaps post, before we embark on a fresh start of weekly updates that only my mom will read.

In no particular order, because my brain can't possibly think that way:

I bought a house. My first house. And it's old (1920s) and needs so much love. Luckily, I love loving it. I call it Maude and sometimes I talk to it as if it's an old friend. I keep promising Maude I'll bring her back to her glory days, so lovingly, very lovingly, I toil and scrub and build and ... paint and repaint and ... well ... for the most part she doesn't object too much. Meaning, I haven't started any fires or floods yet. She only groans every now and then but that's mostly one support beam that needs just a little attention. I kid. It needs a lot of attention. Oh Maude, you are always on my list of blessings.

Pre Maude, I traveled a lot. Too many trips to name so here are the ones that stick to the tip of my brain and remind me that I am both alive and most alive when I am with people I love.

Alaska (dad and brother), that one sunset, that one restaurant that we went to three times, the fishing, the RV, the hiking, the bears, the helicopter, drinking from a glacier

San Diego (mom), her child hood home, the nuns house, Chuck, vintage stores, FOOD - so much good food, the beach, hills, airplanes, books

London (mom and brother), walking, Wicked, high tea, vintage stores, sewing patterns, changing of the guards, bus tour, escape rooms, art

Europe (dad and brother), driving, escape room, chocolate factory, food, old bars, new bars, red light district, flowers, huge markets, walks, museums

Aruba (dad and brother), sunrise, fishing, beach, swimming, alo farm, steak house, sand so much sand

Yellowstone (mom), hiking, snow, horses, mountain driving, Wild Bill Hickock, Grand Canyon, Moab, Dams, water, Zion ...

OK YEAH A LOT OF TRAVEL ... Hawaii, Georgia, Glacier National Park ... all absolutely amazing. Well ... Georgia was more scary because we were in a hurricane ... but the others were amazing.

I think one of the reasons that I've tried to spend as much time as possible with my parents and my brother is, and here's where you reach for a box of Kleenex. Deep breath, we'll get through this together. I lost both my grandparents. My mom's dad and my dad's mom. Both of these amazing people played huge roles in my life. I was on my way to my granddad when he passed. And honestly, that completely and totally wrecked my world. It doesn't matter how many years pass (has it even been years? it feels like yesterday). I feel like when I lost him, I also lost a huge part of myself. He was such a cheerleader for me and I looked up to him so much. I felt like when he passed I lost the person I was most trying to make proud. And then it hit again when my grandmother passed. I really had to search for a point to life ... anyway ... crying break.

Oh, I also do that a lot more, crying. Is that a getting old thing?

Ok time to disassociate and say happy things now. I also made a million and one new friends. Went through some rough breakups (I SAID HAPPY THINGS BRAIN), had to start over a few times and prayed countless prayers to be a better, smarter, wiser friend/daughter/partner. Maybe here and there more things will come back to me and I'll add those thoughts in for my future self to read and smile at. But for now, let's start fresh with a hi.
