Choosing the Right King Size Sleigh Bed for You
1. Consider Your Bedroom Space
Before selecting a king size sleigh bed, evaluate your bedroom's dimensions. Measure the available space to ensure the bed fits comfortably, allowing ample room for movement and other furniture pieces.

Opt for a bed finish that complements your existing bedroom decor. Whether your style is contemporary, rustic, or traditional, choose a finish that harmonizes with the overall aesthetics of the room.

3. Spaciousness
As the largest standard bed size available, a king size sleigh bed offers ample space for a couple to sleep comfortably. The extra room allows for undisturbed rest, making it an excellent choice for those who prioritize spaciousness and freedom of movement.
In conclusion, a king size sleigh bed is a timeless and elegant choice for anyone seeking to enhance their bedroom's aesthetics and comfort. Its distinctive design, sturdy construction, and variety of finishes make it a versatile option that suits various decor styles. Sleigh Beds: A Timeless Elegance in Your Bedroom
Sleigh beds are more than just a piece of furniture; they are an embodiment of timeless elegance and sophistication that can transform your bedroom into a sanctuary of comfort and style. In this article, we delve deep into the world of sleigh beds, exploring their history, design, and why they have become a popular choice for many when it comes to bedroom decor. If you're looking to create a bedroom that exudes luxury and charm, read on to discover the allure of sleigh beds and why they deserve a place in your home.
A Glimpse into History
Sleigh beds have a rich and fascinating history that dates back to the early 19th century. Their distinctive design, characterized by gracefully curved headboards and footboards, was inspired by the shape of a horse-drawn sleigh. The concept of the sleigh bed originated in France and quickly gained popularity throughout Europe and the United States.
During the Victorian era, sleigh beds became a symbol of opulence and luxury, with intricately carved wood and ornate details adorning their frames. Over time, this classic design has evolved to suit modern tastes while retaining its timeless appeal.
The Allure of Sleigh Bed Design
One of the standout features of a sleigh bed is its elegant and curved silhouette. This design creates a focal point in the bedroom, making it a perfect choice for those who want to add a touch of sophistication to their decor. The curved headboard and footboard offer a sense of coziness and security, enveloping you in comfort as you sleep or relax in your bedroom.
Sleigh beds are available in a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and upholstered options. This versatility ensures that you can find a sleigh bed that perfectly complements your existing decor and personal style. Whether you prefer a rustic wooden sleigh bed or a sleek, modern upholstered design, there's a sleigh bed for every taste.
The Comfort Factor
Beyond their captivating aesthetics, sleigh beds are renowned for their comfort. The curved headboard provides excellent support for those who enjoy reading or watching TV in bed. You can comfortably lean back against the headboard, making it an ideal choice for those who value relaxation and downtime in their bedroom.
Sleigh beds also offer a generous amount of under-bed storage space, making them practical in addition to being stylish. You can use this space to store extra bedding, clothing, or any items you'd like to keep neatly tucked away, helping you maintain a clutter-free bedroom.
Sleigh Beds in Different Styles
Sleigh beds come in a range of styles to suit various preferences. Here are a few popular options:
Traditional Sleigh Beds
Traditional sleigh beds maintain the classic curved design that defines this style. They often feature intricate woodwork and craftsmanship, making them a true work of art in your bedroom.
Modern Sleigh Beds
For those with a more contemporary taste, modern sleigh beds offer sleek and clean lines. They may incorporate metal or upholstered elements, creating a perfect blend of classic and modern aesthetics.
Upholstered Sleigh Beds
Upholstered sleigh beds provide a plush and luxurious feel with padded headboards and footboards. They offer a soft and inviting look, making them an excellent choice for a cozy bedroom.
Rustic Sleigh Beds
Rustic sleigh beds often feature natural wood finishes, giving your bedroom a warm and welcoming ambiance. They are ideal for those who appreciate a more earthy and organic style.
Maintenance and Care
To ensure that your sleigh bed maintains its beauty and functionality, regular maintenance is essential. Here are some tips for caring for your sleigh bed:
Dust Regularly: Dust your sleigh bed frame with a soft, dry cloth to prevent a buildup of dirt and grime.
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Position your sleigh bed away from direct sunlight to prevent fading of wood or fabric.
Use Appropriate Cleaners: Depending on the material of your sleigh bed, use suitable cleaners to keep it looking its best.
Check for Loose Fasteners: Periodically inspect the bed frame for loose screws or fasteners and tighten them as needed.
By following these simple care instructions, you can ensure that your sleigh bed remains a stunning centerpiece in your bedroom for years to come.
Conclusion
Sleigh beds are more than just a piece of furniture; they are a statement of elegance and comfort. Their rich history, versatile designs, and inherent charm make them an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their bedroom decor. Whether you prefer the classic appeal of traditional sleigh beds or the contemporary style of modern designs, there's a sleigh bed that can truly transform your bedroom into a sanctuary of luxury.
If you're ready to elevate your bedroom decor with the timeless beauty of a sleigh bed, explore the various options available and choose the one that speaks to your personal style. It's not just a bed; it's an investment in the aesthetics and comfort of your home.

Choosing the Perfect King Size Sleigh Bed: Factors to Consider
When it comes to transforming your bedroom into a cozy sanctuary, the right bed can make all the difference. A king size sleigh bed is a popular choice for those seeking both elegance and ample sleeping space. However, making the perfect selection involves more than just aesthetics. This article will guide you through essential factors to consider when choosing the ideal king size sleigh bed for your bedroom.
1. Style and Aesthetics
The first consideration when choosing a king size sleigh bed is the style and aesthetics. Sleigh beds are known for their distinctive curved headboards and footboards, resembling a sleigh. Consider the overall style of your bedroom and choose a sleigh bed that complements your décor. Whether you prefer a traditional, modern, or transitional look, there's a sleigh bed style to match.
2. Material and Durability
Sleigh beds are crafted from various materials, including wood, metal, and upholstery. Each material offers a unique aesthetic and level of durability. Solid wood beds are classic and durable, while metal beds can provide a modern touch. Upholstered sleigh beds offer comfort and a cozy feel. Consider the longevity and maintenance requirements of each material before making your choice.
3. Size and Dimensions
Ensure that the king size sleigh bed you choose fits comfortably in your bedroom. Measure your room and leave enough space for other furniture and movement. Pay attention to the dimensions of the bed, including width, length, and height, to ensure it fits your space and provides ample room for a good night's sleep.
4. Comfort and Support
A crucial aspect of any bed is its level of comfort and support. Test the mattress and slats to ensure they offer adequate support for your body. The right mattress paired with a well-constructed sleigh bed can significantly enhance your sleep quality and overall well-being.
5. Storage Options
Consider whether you want additional storage features in your king size sleigh bed. Some sleigh beds come with built-in drawers or under-bed storage, providing a convenient solution for organizing your bedroom and maximizing space.
6. Budget Considerations
Set a budget before starting your search for the perfect sleigh bed. Prices can vary widely based on materials, brand, and design. Stick to your budget while ensuring you get the best quality bed that meets your requirements.
7. Assembly and Delivery
Check if the bed requires assembly and if the delivery is included in the purchase. Factor in assembly time and costs, especially if you prefer professional assembly.
8. Customer Reviews and Ratings
Research and read customer reviews to gain insights into the experiences of others who have purchased the same sleigh bed. Consider the overall satisfaction and any potential issues before making your decision.
9. Brand Reputation
Opt for a reputable and reliable brand known for producing high-quality furniture. A well-established brand is likely to offer better craftsmanship and customer service.
10. Customization Options
If you desire a personalized touch, look for brands that offer customization options. Choose the finish, upholstery, or other details to match your preferences and style.
In conclusion, selecting the perfect king-size sleigh bed involves considering style, material, size, comfort, storage, budget, assembly, reviews, brand reputation, and customization. By evaluating these factors carefully, you can make an informed decision that will enhance the beauty and comfort of your bedroom for years to come. Happy bed hunting!

One of the few downsides to owning a giant gorgeous antique bed is it now, you can’t live anywhere into which the giant gorgeous antique bed cannot fit
She just. She is my life partner now. At least in terms of home furnishings. I am forever doomed to only live in rooms that can fit a massive Eastlake fantasy sleigh bed
(Oh, and did I mention I got her for $100 on Facebook marketplace? You can’t even buy an IKEA bedframe that cheap, most of the time)
#antiques#Victorian#no but seriously even if the Boston housing market ever forces me into a smaller room#which is entirely possible given aforesaid housing market#she is going into storage or even into a friends basement. I am never letting this bed go if I can at all help it

Mulled Wine (Jack Daniels/Agent Whiskey x F!Reader)
A Merry Fic-Mas - December 12
Part of A Merry Fic-Mas: A Holiday Fic Calendar - click for masterlist, and follow @ladameecrit for my writing updates.
Pairing: Jack “Whiskey” Daniels x F!Reader
Rating: Mature/18+ MDNI
Warnings: Alcohol consumption; established relationship; light smut (heavy making out and fingering; implied smut; no use of Y/N; no physical descriptions of reader; language
Word Count: 1050
Summary: He might be a whiskey man by name, but he’s willing to try anything if you offer it.
I imagined this as part of the “Sleigh Ride” universe, though of course both fics can be read separately.
For @agentjackdaniels, as ever.
Jack takes off his boots on the porch, shaking off the snow, and quietly lets himself into the ranch house. He can hear you humming and clattering pans and bottles in the kitchen, presumably rustling up another of the little treats you love to make when you’re down here, just the two of you.
He tiptoes in his warm, thermal boot socks across the floorboards and peeks around the kitchen door. You’re absorbed in whatever it is you’re making, bobbing your head to music and wiggling your hips. The ties of your apron only serve to accentuate the curve of your waist, your hips, that generous ass that drives him insane, and Jack has to take a moment before he loses the run of himself.
You don’t hear a thing as he approaches, a wicked grin spreading across his handsome face. He gets up nice and close - and then he strikes, wrapping his arms around you and smooshing the frozen, pink skin of his cheek against your warm face.
“JACK! Fucking hell, babe!”
He chuckles as you squeal at the cold and playfully slap his arms away, spinning you round and holding you all the closer.
“Sure is a pity when a woman doesn’t want to help warm up her man.” He does that half-smile you love so much. It’s all you can do not to haul him to bed and really warm him up.
“You’re damned lucky you’re cute, Mr Daniels.” You reach for a cheap but cheerful bottle of red wine and uncork it before pouring it into a large pan.
“And your problem is you’re just too cute, Mrs Daniels,” Jack replies, taking off his navy-blue padded coat and scarf to reveal the green plaid flannel and simple grey sweater beneath.
He wanders over to watch what you’re doing. “Hold up, darlin’. Did you just pour a whole bottle into that pan?”
You nod and giggle at his confused expression. “Sure did.”
He spots the spices and oranges lined up and ready to join the steaming purple-red liquid in due course.
“Aw, no. This isn’t that hot wine thing, surely.”
“Hot wine? It’s mulled wine, Jack. Or Glühwein, in German. It’s delicious!”
Your husband looks sceptical. He’s a man who doesn’t much believe in adding extra flavours to alcoholic beverages. If it doesn’t stand up on its own, it’s probably not worth drinking.
But he’s curious, watching you add cinnamon sticks and star anise and cardamom pods and cloves and orange slices to the wine as it starts to bubble away on the stove. And damned if it doesn’t smell divine.
You catch his nose twitching as the aroma develops. “What’s it smell like, baby?”
Jack closes his eyes and thinks. “Christmas.”
***
He’s left you to finish fixing the wine and has set a roaring fire in the stone hearth, lighting a couple of candles here and there, just the way you like it.
“Okay, love. I’ve got the mulled wine and some cookies, too.”
He takes a glass mug of the steaming beverage, wrapping an arm around you as you settle beside him on the sofa. You offer him a cookie - small, domed, coated in a thin white icing.
“Never seen these before, darlin’.” He picks up a cookie and looks at it, sniffing it cautiously.
“Lebkuchen.”
“Leb-what now?”
“Lebkuchen. Like a soft gingerbread cookie. They used to sell these with the glühwein at the German Christmas market back in the city, when I was a kid.”
Jack takes a bite and savours the honey-sweet spices as they send his tastebuds tingling. “Goddamn. That’s delicious, sugar.”
“Try the wine.”
He still looks sceptical, but the look in your big eyes would convince anyone. So he raises the mug to his perfect mouth and takes a sip.
“Well.” He turns to you. “Well, I’ll be. That’s perfect. Feel like it’s warmin’ me up all the way down to my toes.”
You beam and drink from your own mug, wriggling your toes contentedly. The light from the candles and the fire highlights the beautiful contours and hollows of Jack’s face, picking out golden accents in his coffee-brown eyes.
“You’re the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen, you know that?”
He pulls a bashful expression and flutters his eyelashes. “Gee, shucks.”
“I mean it! And you married me. Me!”
Jack’s eyebrows furrow, confused. “Because you’re the most beautiful and best woman I’ve ever met, darlin’.”
He takes another bite of the cookie. “And you make delicious lobcookins.”
You chuckle awkwardly and bury your face in his chest. “Uh…I may have bought some when I was in the city, before we came down here. So… not homemade.”
Jack feigns horror. “Not homemade?! Well, that’s just not good enough, sugar.”
He takes your mug and puts both of them down on the little side table, before leaning over and caging you with his arms.
“Now what am I supposed to do with you, huh?”
You giggle. “What would you like to do with me, baby?”
Jack’s eyes fall to your body, one hand sliding up and under the fabric of your plaid shirt and long-sleeved undervest. “Oh, I can think of a few things.”
“Tell me.”
He leans in and starts to nibble at your neck as his big hand finds the soft flesh of your breasts, caressing and groping as he hums happily against your throat. “I would like to play with your tits while I kiss your neck and slip a couple of fingers into your panties, darlin’.”
Right on cue, he brings his hand down to unbutton your jeans, and your hips buck upwards against him.
“I’d like to get you off a couple of times with my fingers, feel you all warmed up and ready for me.”
He slips his fingers into your jeans, pulling aside the soft cotton of your panties and finding your pussy as you whine with pleasure.
“Then what? Then what, Jack?”
He slips his fingers away and sits back up, gazing down at you, already halfway to wrecked and still (mostly) clothed.
“Why don’t I get some blankets on that nice hearth rug and I’ll show you, sugar?”

Chapter 4 - The Backpack
This is a Christmas story told in 25 parts – with one chapter released each day of December ‘til Christmas. Enjoy!
Sable was pacing the Workshop floor with a phone to her ear. She was surrounded by removalists who had been hired to strip everything of value from the Workshop and load it onto the fleet of trucks parked near the doorless entrance. This included loading up Ana, the elves and reindeer who were all still frozen in position.
“Hello, Brent? … No, everything did not go as planned. … I got the Workshop, the sleigh, the toy-making tools and machinery, all of that. … The movers are here now. … But I did not get Santa. … An elf stole him. … An elf. … An elf! … Yes, terrible. … I need everything to go perfectly for tonight, do you hear me?”
Sable ended the call and was about to dial her party planner. She was interrupted by one of the removalists with a scruffy moustache, informing her that they were done. The trucks had all been loaded up.
“Excellent”, Sable replied. “I need you to keep everything that you’ve seen here tonight quiet, understood?”
The man smirked. “Pay us more and you have my word.”
“Your word?”
He nodded.
“I need something more solid”, Sable said.
She then pocketed her phone and waved her hand. The ground began shaking and an enormous magical portal opened up in the middle of the Workshop atrium. Six giant trolls made of rock stepped out. They looked very solid.
Sable gave one of the trolls a tiny glance. The behemoth obediently marched over to the moustached removalist, wrapped his hand around the man’s torso and lifted him off the ground. The removalist was no longer smirking. His colleagues looked on, flabbergasted. It was clear to them all that the businesswoman had placed these brutes under some sort of trance. The trolls’ stony eyes flashed red; the same shade as the jewel on Sable’s necklace.
“You’ll keep quiet?” she repeated.
The removalist in the troll’s merciless grip was too busy struggling for air, so another spoke up in his place.
“We won’t say anything!”
Sable nodded at the troll. He loosened his tight hold and the man fell to the floor, gasping and wheezing.
“My staff on the other side will show you where everything goes”, Sable explained.
The removalists hurriedly got into their trucks and drove through the portal, followed by the trolls lumbering behind them on foot. The enchanted opening led them all from the chilly North Pole air onto a road lined with immaculately trimmed hedges and the sound of cicadas enjoying a balmy night.
Sable waved her hand once more to close the portal behind them. With the gutting of the Workshop complete, she turned her attention to finding Santa.
_____
Knuckles had a lentil stew on the stove, a shepherd’s pie, topped with last night’s leftover mashed potato, in the oven and a Christmas pudding, made from a packet, rotating in the microwave. He was racing around the shelter kitchen, cooking these dishes tonight so that he was not too swamped on Christmas Day.
After the microwave’s whirring ended with a beep, Knuckles could hear whispers wafting down the hall.
“Here they come!”
“Does he look OK?”
“He looks sad.”
“Poor George.”
“Why did he sneak out?”
“Maybe he wanted to see the parade?”
“Or his family?”
“He doesn’t have a family.”
“That’s why George’s here.”
“Did he tell you that?”
“Of course not.”
“We overheard Sister Roula talk about him being alone here once on the phone.”
“Oh. Parade, then.”
Knuckles walked over to the lounge room to find five children in their pyjamas – Zoe, Daina, Lam, Samrawit and Tim – huddled around the window by a cheap crooked Christmas tree. They were peeping through the blinds at Sister Roula and George walking up the street towards the shelter.
“Oi!” Knuckles bellowed.
All five kids jumped in fright. Knuckles was a sweetheart, but could muster up a threatening baritone when the situation called for it.
“Back to bed”, he ordered while shooing them away from the window. “George doesn’t need you gossiping about him.”
“We’re not gossiping, just worried”, Samrawit replied sincerely.
The other children nodded, except Daina. She was there for gossip.
“The only thing you should worry about is not being in bed when Santa comes”, the cook warned. “He’ll fly by and ignore us if you’re up!”
The children’s faces fell. They hurried up the stairs just as the front door opened behind Knuckles.
George and Sister Roula entered, both looking miserable. The nun handed the boy his backpack and he made his way up the stairs, with his head down and shoulders slumped. Sister Roula said nothing to the cook. She simply turned and went back outside to inspect the broken drainpipe. Knuckles lingered in the entranceway confused, until he smelled burnt lentils and rushed to the kitchen.
George stopped off on the third floor and retrieved the gingerbread from his pocket. He had collected it earlier for Grace, the youngest resident of the shelter, knowing that she loved the sweet and thinking that he owed it to her – Grace’s snowman was the one that he had probably ruined most. George placed the gingerbread by her bedroom door and proceeded to the attic on the floor above. He liked it up there; the attic was the only place in the overcrowded building with some privacy. The room was cluttered with junk piled around an old malfunctioning furnace, which had switched itself off, making this cold night even colder for the shelter residents.
George dropped his backpack so that he could take off his jacket. With his back turned, he did not notice a small elf unzip the top of the bag and peek out. Happy to see that George was finally alone, Lolly crawled out of the backpack, carrying the globe. She did not want to scare the boy, so she paused to think of the best way to explain herself.
Within that short pause, however, the door swung open. Knuckles was coming in to bring George something to eat.
Lolly had no time to think. She scrambled into the beat-up furnace and up the shaft connecting it to the wall. Holding this position was agony - Lolly had the globe clenched between her knees - but she did her best to stay quiet.
Knuckles handed George a bowl of slightly burnt lentil stew and a glass of apple juice. With a comforting smile on his face, the cook said something that George could not understand (to which George nodded as if he did) then closed the door and left.
George took a small bite of the stew, then put it aside. His mind was on Santa. George fished out the letter from his backpack and, after giving it a final read, threw it into the furnace. Santa must already be halfway around the world delivering presents, George figured; his opportunity to send the letter was gone.
In truth, it was not too late. The letter landed directly under Santa’s feet. He looked down through the glass of the globe at the crumpled paper sitting on the coal below, keen to read George’s words.
Santa knew that the last few years had been difficult for George. What do you get a boy who has had everything taken from him? Where do you even start?
But before Santa could read the letter, it burst into flames. Santa jumped in fright, hitting his head on the top of the globe as the letter began turning to ash beneath him. It took Santa a moment to realise what had happened – George had switched the furnace on!
The shaft in which Lolly was painfully balancing herself was now overtaken by heat and smoke. The metal of the shaft became scorching hot, burning Lolly’s hands, until she could not spend a moment longer in this harrowing position.
“YEOWWWWWW!” the elf cried.
Lolly and the globe shot out of the furnace while a massive cloud of soot engulfed the attic. George yelled in shock as he saw this strange little creature, coughing up black ash, running around the room. Lolly grabbed the glass of apple juice sitting by the discarded stew and poured it over her head in an attempt to cool herself down.
She stared at George. He stared back. This was not the cautious introduction for which she was hoping.

Ahhhh THANK YOUUU
Ahahahaaa the Frozen AU??
weellllll it’s basically LU x Frozen, and it came about solely because I felt Warriors deserved to sing Let it Go XD
so yeah, Warriors is Elsa and Legend is Anna (the joke being that where Anna is super peppy and happy Legend is practically a storm cloud who woke up on the wrong side of the bed)
they have completely different internal struggles from Elsa and Anna ofc, but the plot is somewhat similar
Hans is a mix of Cia and Marin (Marin is an illusion Cia uses to get Legend out of the way and get at Warriors, so the LA trauma is still there hehe)
So Cia has like, limited magic? I think. She’s kinda using like, cheap secondhand tricks or someone else’s power, but I haven’t done enough worldbuilding yet to decide lol
I’m stuck between Kristoff being Wild, and the relationship between him and Legend being brotherly, or having it be Fable. Because I feel like I’d have to change a lot about the plot to get Fable to help Legend… whereas Wild on the other hand could easily get roped into traveling to a suspicious ice castle XD
Sven is Twilight/Wolfie. Twilight would be a shapeshifter! He wouldn’t pull everyone around on a sleigh ofc; they’d all just walk hehe
I’m not quite sure I want Olaf to exist, honestly… but if he did, he’d either be Tingle and be incredibly cursed, or maybe one of the links? I don’t really want to degrade any of them to simple comic relief… so probably Tingle! Ofc he wouldn’t be quite as friendly with the main characters in this au
As for the rest of the Lu boys…
Y’know the huge guy who owns the sauna? Please don’t kill me but I think he should be Four. just because, I guess? Alternatively, he could be Sky? Actually wait Sky being a super smiley and eccentric guy and all his skyloft buddies chilling in the sauna or something is kinda hilarious…
if you’ve seen Frozen II (which will have a significantly different plot), that is when a lot of the boys would come into the story
I think I’d expand on the whole nature spirit deal a lot, since I didn’t love how Frozen II did it. So the spirits were like Elsa/Wars, once, human. But once they passed away they lived on to help the world in a new way. Not eternally, bc Elsa was clearly BORN, so there must have been an ice powers person before her! And once the spirits are satisfied, fulfilled, or something along those lines, they pass on and go to Heaven! (Bc this is based in a weird mix of fantasy and nordic/scandinavian history, I’m making Christianity exist hehe)
So the wind spirit, Gale or whatever? Would be Wind! And he can basically shapeshift (his form is well, formed by the movement of the wind), but prefers in his human form
the water spirit is Time, I think? Or Malon! Maybe they’re like, inseparable in some way? Not quite sure… bc Y’know, the water spirit is a horse! Maybe Malon was the water spirit, and Time was permitted to live on with her because he had royal (and therefore magic) blood! Idk XD
the earth spirit is another candidate for Four. Yeah, probably Four! But it could also be Time, or Sky? I don’t love the way Frozen II made the earth giants practically monsters while all the others had some level of sentience, so I plan to at least change that!
Oh! And the fire spirit?? Definitely Hyrule!!!! He typically appears in fairy form and is very cute :)
so yeah that’s the gist of it!!! I love it way too much hehe
note: i accidentally saved this as a draft instead of posting it and after some brainstorming have some completely new ideas that i like a lot better... still I suppose i'll just post this for now since it's really long and i've already written it all out XD
doodle dump :)
These are all like 6 months old help
#Lu x frozen au#Andnnsjanrnnejw#Golden-fingered margin#:DDDD#I could go on about all the symbolism there could be#And about how the magic (like the trolls) might work#And about warriors’ very troublesome internal struggle#For way too long XD
