Affordable Egypt Budget tours - Explore the land of Pharaohs on a budget
Egypt is a fascinating country with a rich history and culture, and it's possible to explore its many wonders even on a budget. Here are some tips for planning an affordable Egypt budget tour:
Choose the right time to visit: The peak tourist season in Egypt is from December to February and during this time, prices for accommodation and tours can be high. Consider visiting during the shoulder season (March to May or September to November) when prices are lower and the weather is still pleasant.
Book in advance: Booking your Egypt Tours Budget, accommodation, and transportation in advance can help you save money. Look for deals and discounts online or through a travel agent.
Explore on foot: Walking is one of the best ways to explore Egypt's ancient sites and cities. Many of the main attractions, such as the Pyramids of Giza, are within walking distance of each other. You can also take advantage of local transportation options like buses, trains, and shared taxis, and enjoy Egypt Budget Tours with Tango Travel Egypt.
Stay in budget accommodations: There are plenty of budget-friendly accommodations in Egypt, including hostels, guesthouses, and budget hotels. Look for places that offer basic amenities like breakfast, wifi, and air conditioning.
Eat like a local: Food in Egypt can be very affordable if you eat at local street stalls and markets. Try traditional dishes like falafel, koshary, and shawarma.
Take advantage of free activities: There are many free activities to enjoy in Egypt, such as exploring the Khan el-Khalili market, visiting the Al-Azhar Mosque, and wandering through the streets of Cairo.
Join a group tour: Group tours can be an affordable way to see the sights of Egypt, as costs can be shared among the group. Look for tours that include accommodation, transportation, and entrance fees to major attractions.
By following these tips, you can have an amazing Egypt budget tour without breaking the bank.
What are some of the best budget-friendly accommodations in Egypt?
Egypt has a wide range of budget-friendly accommodations to suit different budgets and preferences. Here are some of the best options:
Hostels: Hostels are a great option for budget-conscious travelers. They offer dormitory-style accommodation with shared facilities like bathrooms and kitchens. Some popular hostels in Egypt include Cairo International Hostel in Cairo, Dahab Hostel in Dahab, and Nubian Hostel in Aswan.
Guesthouses: Guesthouses are smaller and more intimate than hotels, and they often offer a more authentic experience. They are typically family-run and offer basic amenities like breakfast, wifi, and hot water. Some popular guesthouses in Egypt include Nubian Oasis Guesthouse in Aswan, Tutotel in Luxor, and Dahab Divers Lodge in Dahab.
Budget Hotels: Budget hotels offer private rooms with basic amenities like air conditioning, wifi, and en-suite bathrooms. Some popular budget hotels in Egypt include Pyramids Loft Homestay in Giza, New Palace Hotel in Luxor, and Blue Beach Club in Dahab.
Airbnb: Airbnb is a popular accommodation option in Egypt, with many hosts offering private rooms or entire apartments at affordable prices. Staying in an Airbnb can also give you the opportunity to experience local life and culture firsthand.
No matter which type of budget-friendly accommodation you choose, be sure to read reviews from other travelers and check the location to ensure it's convenient for your travel plans.

The Holiday Diaries - Day Three
Continuing for my darling friend @tismrot and hopefully being a bit more entertaining today.
Wow! It turns out that, whilst I’m in Norfolk, he’s in bloody Egypt! Paddling in the Nile. Deep in it. 🤦🏻♀️
So, while I’m mentally adding golden beads and bells to Nelly’s tabard (I’ve named The Elephant In The Room, she said it was ok), he’s completely ignorant. Nelly is obviously so magical only I can see her.
Meanwhile I’m also realising I’m still a hopeless romantic and touch starved who lives in a small town…and will probably still be exactly that in 12 months’ time…24 months’ time…48 months’ time etc etc etc. How the hell would I even meet anyone?
Anyway!
Magpies are finally flying around in pairs! It’s my only small superstition. I always recite the rhyme ‘one for sorrow, two for joy...’ when I see them. In fact, my ‘I finished trauma therapy’ tattoo is going to be based on this rhyme. Booked it last year (when I still had money), it’s in September. It’ll be a chest piece of two magpies with some treasure & some more macabre animal skulls. Currently managing to put away £10/month and secreting away the occasional extra bit. Will need a lot more by September as it won’t be cheap but trauma therapy was HELL and the tattoo commemorating it was something the therapist & I actually discussed at length. She encouraged it. Along with my writing. Seeing the magpie pairs today made me think about it.
Went to a massive charity shop today because he needed jeans. I’ve lost 30kg in the last year (not in a healthy way, I won’t share my method) and nothing fits anymore. Managed to pick up one black fem top and one grungy neutral top and a great pair of formal/suit trousers from the ‘mens’’ for super cheap.
Even more excitingly is a collection of Edgar Allan Poe stories
I checked the records for a copy of Everyday but all I found was this monstrosity *argh*
We went to a cat cafe. It was lush. They had grumpy sphinx cats. Yes - Grumpy. Sphinx. Cats. And retro 80s & early 90s stuff like carebears, rainbow brite and mlp. And loads of old console games. It was mad and I loved it.
Then there was beaching. I REFUSED.
There is one beach in the UK that I like: Calgary Beach in Mull. Other than that, I do NOT like beaches. I can’t actually think of any beaches in other countries that I like. And I used to live in the tropics. And went down the Gold Coast (Australia) for a month on holiday as a teenager. So this is the closest I got to the beach today:
My feet did not touch the sand.
Did a mini rave when we got back. Which segued into a rock party.
I can’t listen to the normal radio. What’s with the country revival? What’s going on? Help!!!
Still can’t write. I still suck. Been researching for the proper book. But nothing I write is any good. What if I never am again?
I’m out at the entertainment again now. Can’t afford nice drinks, but never mind. Must be his paddle in denial using up the budget. @tismrot, dollface, hope my insane-yet-inane life amuses you 😂
#the holiday diaries#i’m doing it for the kids#so when I said it was awkward it was only me who thought it was

The story of the Minotaur is kinda funny when you think about it, specifically in the context that the Minoans were real people. They had a culture of their own, and not just one that foreigners told stories about. The Bronze Age was also long time ago, even for the Ancient Greeks, so the Minotaur myth wouldn't have existed in its present form, or may not have existed at all. For example, there's little evidence of a monarchy on Crete at the time, even though (in the story) the Queen of Minos was infamously the Minotaur's mother.
The Minoans were traders, there's evidence of their goods and contact as far away as Egypt. So it's not impossible or unlikely that visitors went to the palaces on Crete, and marveled at the beautiful frescoes of the Minoans' sacred bulls, even after the Minoans were long dead, and their palaces were in ruins.
So I can't not imagine the Mycenaean Greeks knowing about the Minoans' fondness for bulls, and spreading some... Really weird rumors. Especially if they weren't on very friendly terms with them at some point in time, which neighboring cultures often are. So, like:
Minoan trader: So yeah back home on the island we have this whole cave-based mystery cult that I can't go into detail about (because rule number one of Fight Club and all that 😏) but we do have some pretty cool holidays foreigners can participate in. Wanna watch people leap over the horns of a charging sacred bull? It's pretty sick. Mycenaean Greek farmer he is trading with: Oh right, you guys have sacred bulls! I've heard about that! And that funny story about the Minotaur! Minoan, blinking twice: I'm sorry, The What-ataur? Mycenaean Greek: The Minotaur? The half man, half bull monster that was born after the Queen of Minos... Minoan: Mycenaean Greek, who has suddenly realized the funny story his cousin Ajax told him is actually really racist: Minoan: Mycenaean Greek, who wants to crawl into a labyrinth and die: Uh. Minoan: No, go on, I wanna hear the rest of this story. What do you think we do with our cattle?? Mycenaean Greek: I am, um. Suddenly having trouble remembering the rest. I'm sorry. Minoan: That's what I thought. 😒 ...That'll be two bronze pieces for the jug with the octopus on it. Mycenaean Greek: Do you take copper? I got some good quality ingots recently for really cheap.
#this is not historically accurate in the slightest don't @ me#I skimmed Wikipedia to fact-check my vague memories of learning about the Minoans in art history class

DO NOT GO TO EGYPT WITHOUT READING THIS ARTICLE
Invest in yourself this year and go to Egypt
You will say "I am glad I went"
Hello everyone, in this blog I will talk about my own Egypt experience and information you have not heard before. I will do yourself a favor and make you go to Egypt this year.
First of all, I am sure that going to Egypt will be an excellent experience for those like me who want to get out of their comfort zone and have an unforgettable experience.
CHANCE TO GO WITHOUT A VISA
Egypt does not require a 90-day visa for Turkish citizens. You don't have any problems in terms of transportation, you can just take your passport and hit the road. If you are a student, getting a passport will be very cheap.
Arrange your departure date in advance and get it cheaper
Flight tickets are much cheaper than most countries, and if you follow the discounts of flight sites, transportation can be much cheaper. There are direct flights to Egypt from Turkey. I do not recommend a connecting flight unless it is very cheap.
IS EGYPT REALLY HOT ?
I went in June and returned in July, and it had the same temperature as the hot cities in Turkey, and it was even cool in the evenings, so yes, it is a hot country, but definitely not unlivable.
Shawarma and Koshari
FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION IN EGYPT
They use the Egyptian pound as currency and its value is lower than the Turkish lira, so you can easily have a holiday. Food and drink prices vary depending on where you go, but in general it is cheaper than Turkey. Although their food culture is similar to Turkey, they are slightly different. They cook more spicy dishes. The dishes you will encounter most are shawarma, koshari, hummus, falafel and kebab. You should be careful about accommodation because not every place is reliable, but of course, don't let this scare you, not every place is reliable where you live now.
HOW ARE EGYPTIAN PEOPLE ?
They are very hospitable and nice to people, their culture is a bit similar to the Turks but be careful of getting ripped off by the Egyptians in Khan El Khalili because, like everywhere else, they try to take advantage of tourists when they see them if you had someone who speaks Arabic with you while traveling in Egypt. Most Egyptians speak English, do not worry about it, you can understand each other even using Google Translate.
DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE IT WITH YOU !
The important things you need to take with you are a hat, glasses, sunscreen and moisturizer. But you can find everything you want in Turkey there too. If you are a student, do not forget to take your student card with you, there are discounts in some places.
IS EGYPT A DIRTY COUNTRY?
Egypt is a big country, so of course it depends on where you go. I've seen dirty places, but I've also seen very clean places. Try to stay in central places where there are more people, you won't have any problems.
GO TO EGYPT WITH AIESEC BY PAYING ONLY YOUR FLIGHT TICKET !
If you want to participate in a volunteer project, you can go to Egypt with Aiesec and have fun and an excellent experience, all by paying only your flight ticket. I went to Egypt with Aiesec and I was on a volunteer project where I spent time with the children and I had a great time. If you go with Aiesec, they also cover your accommodation and food needs, thus giving you the opportunity to learn and have fun there by just buying the plane ticket. There are many volunteer programs, I went to the teaching program for children, but you can also have a pleasant time by choosing a project according to your interests.
IS NOT ANYONE WEARING SHORTS ?
Before I went, I thought they would be very strict about this since Egypt is an Arab country, but I wore skirts and shorts in Egypt. But of course, this will vary depending on the environment you are in. It would be better to comply with the rules and culture of the country you are foreign to.
PLACES YOU CAN VISIT IN EGYPT
PYRAMIDS : Of course, the pyramids come first, they have a unique magic, never return without seeing them. You can see the pyramids for a very cheap fee with a student card. The horse and donkey keepers inside the pyramids may force you to ride. If you want to ride, you should definitely bargain because they charge a lot for the first fee, so they can give a lot of discounts. They ask for a separate fee to enter the pyramids, but in my opinion, there is no need to go inside because the inside is completely empty.
CAIRO EGYPTIAN MUSEUM : In this museum, there are many historical artifacts that you will admire and mummies that still have a lock of their hair.I was fascinated while visiting this museum. Also, there were a surprisingly many Turks in the museum.
KHAN EL KHALILI :This place can be compared to the Grand Bazaar in Turkey. Souvenirs and many other ornaments can be found here. Their prices are normal, but it would be better to have someone who speaks Arabic with you while you travel everywhere in Egypt, including this place.
MANGO TREE : As the name suggests, this place is a with a beautiful view full of mango trees and a very beautiful sunset.Do not leave Egypt without trying mango ice cream and mango juice.
ALEXANDRIA :Alexandria, another historical city in Egypt, fascinated me. I recommend you to visit the Library of Alexandria and many museums in that city.
FAYOUM : This is a city in Egypt and it has a perfect view ,you can also go sandboarding and safari here .
PLACES NAMED ARABIATA AND TREE TRUNK: These places are one of my favorites. While you can mostly have dinner in Arabiata, Tree Trunk might be a good choice to have a drink while enjoying the view.
EXTRA INFORMATIONS
It will be easier for you to learn at least Arabic numbers before going to Egypt.
There are almost no traffic rules and there are very few traffic lights, so be very careful when crossing the road because a car can appear from anywhere.
Egypt's nightclubs are very entertaining and the prices are normal,of course not every day, but if you want to have a lot of fun, you can go to a nightclub one day.If you like nightlife, I'm sure you won't regret it.
By the way, Arabic songs are very nice, my favorite is Arabic rap.
I leave my favorite song here :
In conclusion, if you want to go abroad, improve yourself, get to know different cultures, get out of your comfort zone, but you do not have enough money, Egypt is a perfect country for you. If you want it to be a little cheaper and want to work somewhere as a volunteer, going to Egypt with Aiesec will be a perfect step for you.
AIESEC:

Why do israelis go to sinai and why are they always barefoot there ?
It is a very cheap holiday destination with warm and dry weather most of the year, which is also close to Israel, all that is required is just to cross the border into Egypt. The beaches there are amazing and vacationers usually walk around shirtless and barefoot to air out their sweaty feet in the hot air
