Meghan's commitment to imitating Princess Diana is insane to me 😭😭
///
OH MY GOD she’s so committed to being princess diana that rmr harry said he took meghan to dianas grave and he found meghan knelt with her head to the grave, like they even have a lock of her hair and meghan tries to communicate with diana 😭😭😭 i know they’re jealous af of william for looking like diana and charlotte who looks like will who looks like di, the jealousy really reeks after he made fun of his baldness…MF YOURE ALSO BALD????
they're both so pathetic and insecure,,, i remember that time Meghan said that a flight attendant knelt before her and said "thank you for your service" like 😭😭😭 atleast come up with some convincing lies?? also what service exactly are we referring to lmao 🤡
there are articles that do side by sides of Princess Diana and Meghan and it's kinda terrifying how closely Meghan has imitated her, from the things she said to how she dressed?? Moon dominants imitating others is soooo 😤 😮💨
Idgaf about Will & Kate (India was a British colony for 90yrs,,, I have no sympathy for the British monarchy or any monarchy 🤬🤮) and their royal parades are just as nasty to me and I also think they're super fcked up (Will is allegedly a serial cheater and I'm not entirely convinced we have the full truth on the recent Kate debacle) but I like how they're private and don't go around airing their dirty laundry in public and acting like reality TV stars do for cheap publicity.

Bellingham, Wshington
July 25: So long Bellingham. We didn't see much, but we found a good BBQ restaurant and, most importantly, the peeps at the hotel and FBO were awesome. Gas is a little higher here at $7.20/gal but that'll look cheap compared to the prices farther north.
The first order of business after getting checked into the hotel last night was to find dinner. Shoutout to Big Stick BBQ; I'm a little too far west to find my favorite Eastern NC BBQ, but the brisket was pretty damn good. We spent a couple of hours catching up, comparing notes, and making plans, then went back to the hotel and promptly crashed.
The temperature this morning was a cool 54°. Goodbye sweating, hello down jackets. We had breakfast at the hotel (a big thank you to Danis for taking care of us early) before Jose hauled us to the Fred Meyer and to the airport. Even with shuffling 5 planes up to the pump to fuel up, we were wheels up by a few minutes after 8.
The plan was to go from Bellingham to Ketchikan to refuel before ending up in Juneau, or an alternate location if everything aligned. We skirted Vancouver and followed the Strait of Georgia north until we turned direct to Ketchikan. I've been on, and in, Puget Sound. As stunning as it is from the surface, it's insanely beautiful from the air. With the view of the vast Pacific off to port, especially breathtaking at the 140 mile-wide opening to Queen Charlotte Sound, it was easy to imagine the #NextChapter when we'll be sailing north instead of flying. (or motoring as the Inside Passage makes for terrible sailing)
Although we don't have any real use for them now, I've been teasing the Boy Scout about getting floats. All I could think about as we flew over the island-dotted waters was how sick it would be to look down, pick a spot, and land on the water. Maybe do a few dives off the floats before having lunch and flying off to find the next interesting spot. After today I don't think he needs more convincing.
The Ketchikan International Airport is located on an island across from the town of Ketchikan, which appears to exist solely to cater to the cruise industry. Like many other towns in Alaska, Ketchikan is not connected to the rest of the world by any kind of road; it's accessible only by water or air. We topped off the tanks (11.29/gal) and continued toward Juneau.
About halfway to Juneau we passed over the community of Wrangell which lies opposite the Stikine River Delta and several glaciers formed from the Stikine Icefield. There are several National Park and State Recreation cabins available but we couldn't see any way to access them short of a boat or a float plane (hey cowboy). Flying over them confirmed they were a no go. What we did find was a multitude of gravel bars which was the perfect excuse to put the new tundra tires to work. For the most part the ground was sandy/gravel and pretty smooth but the big tires made the landings like buttah. After finding a wide gravel bar where we could park and tie down all five planes well off the water, we set up camp in the tree line overlooking the river. A few tried their hand at fishing (no luck) while the rest of us gathered firewood, did a little exploring, and chilled. A little river-bar happy hour soon commenced around the fire while we thought about what freeze dried delicacy would be on the dinner menu.
I should add here that I'm not a boy scout. I grew up sailing, not camping. Tonight's events were the most boy scout shit ever, and it was awesome. More flight-seeing, including glacier flyovers, tomorrow before we head to Juneau for a couple of days. Assuming the local bear population doesn't get rowdy in the middle of the night.

Third Person POV
DAY 1
Rooster sat in a waiting room chair, anxiously bouncing his let up and down as him and the rest of the pilots waited for news on wolf. Rooster looked down at his watch. 4:37 am.
It had been just about an hour after the end of their mission. The rescue boat retrieved y/n within 15 minutes, avoiding the enemy fleets return to base. The rescue crew had told everybody that she was awake and swimming when they found her. The second she got on the boat, her body gave into the cold from the ocean and the injury on her back. They immediately rushed her to the hospital and everybody else followed.
And now, the dagger team waited for an update. The rest of the team sat exhausted in the waiting room. Coyote and Bob were closing their eyes, no telling if they were actually sleeping. Rooster couldn't imagine sleeping, he could hardly sit still. Phoenix walked back into the room, two cups of hot coffee in her hands. She walked over to Rooster and sat down next to him, holding out a cup.
"Here." She said.
Rooster looked over at his friend, a grateful smile on his face. "Thanks." He said dryly, taking the cup in his hand and taking a drink of the cheap, hospital coffee.
"I figured you would want to stay awake."
Rooster sighed, putting his head in his empty hand and shaking it. "I shouldn't have panicked. I should have used my guns when we first saw it. The plane just came out of nowhere..."
"Hey," Phoenix put a hand on her friend in comfort. "Don't talk like that. There isn't anything I would have done differently. You were out of options."
Rooster looked over at Phoenix and sheepishly smiled. He didn't believe what she had said. There was a list of a million different things he wish he would have done differently.
"You really like her don't you?" Phoenix asked.
"Yes, I really do."
Rooster and Phoenix shared a silent moment between the two of them. "I'm happy for you, Bradley."
Roosters attention was drawn to a hushed argument around the corner. One voice that stood out to him was Maverick. He stood up and leaned around the corner, listening in on Mavericks conversation with Cyclone.
"I just don't understand why it was that bad. The flight suits are supposed to be fire retardant."
"Fire retardant does not mean fire proof, Pete."
"But it should have lasted longer than that! She was airborne for 15 seconds, tops."
"I know, I know. I'm already in contact with lawyers for investigation."
Roosters heart dropped to his stomach. His expression must have reflected what he felt because Phoenix immediately asked what was wrong.
"Cyclone said they're going to investigate our flight suits."
"Investigate?" Fanboy asked.
"Something about her suit being faulty, it should have withstood the fire for longer than it did." Rooster explained.
Hangman scoffed from his chair and shook his head. "First a faulty partner, now faulty equipment."
"Come on Hangman don't do this. Not now." Rooster was exhausted when he spoke, pinching the bridge of his nose.
Hangman stood up from his chair, his face hardened into a more serious expression. "You're right, I should have done this earlier. She should not have been with you on that mission."
"What, and she should have been with you? To get left high and dry with that enemy MiG?" Rooster defended himself, squaring off his shoulders and balling his fists up.
Hangman stepped closer to Rooster, the two hot headed, yelling men now only a foot apart. "I wouldn't have bitched out like you! The only reason you two were partners is because you're sleeping together! Did you ask Mav to partner you-"
Before hangman could finish his sentence, Roosters fist connected with hangman's jaw. Before hangman or rooster had the chance to jump at one another again, the rest of the pilot crew separated them. "What the hell is wrong with you two?" Maverick said sternly.
All the pilots turned to look at their mentor. "You are in uniform, representing the United States Navy. Your teammate- your friend, is unconscious in a hospital bed right now and this is how you choose to portray yourselves? I am so disappointed in you!"
The pilots looked around at one another, all their faces turned to guilt and they suddenly looked like school children getting lectured. "Seresin. Take a walk. I don't want to see you for at least 15 minutes. Bradshaw, come with me."
Rooster cursed to himself, secretly hoping Maverick had not heard what Hangman had said. He was dreading this conversation.
Maverick led them down the hall a ways and slipped into an empty hallway of the hospital. Maverick turned around to face rooster and held out his hand. "Let me see." He instructed.
Rooster held out his hand, his knuckles were sore and reddening. "Does it hurt?" Maverick asked.
"Just sore."
"Good. That's good."
"Are you not mad at me?"
Maverick looked at Rooster, a smirk slowly growing on his face. "For defending yourself and my daughter? No. Absolutely not. I saw the whole thing."
Rooster winced his face, suddenly feeling ashamed. "The whole thing?"
Maverick sighed, looking up and down the hallways to check briefly for people. "Yes... is what hangman said true?"
Rooster sighed, his face flushing up in embarrassment from the situation. "Yes, well no. Not- not really? We went on one actual date."
"You guys weren't going to tell me?" The pain in mavericks voice made Roosters heart ache. This is not how he wanted him to find out.
"I'm sorry. We didn't know how you would feel." Rooster admitted sheepishly.
"How I would feel? I have a daughter that I didn't know existed and you're the closer to her than me. That hurts. I've known you for a long time Brad, there's not another person I would rather date my daughter. But what happens if you two break up? It's just such a mess." Maverick put his hands on his head and looked around in distress. The things he was saying were flying out of his mouth as he thought them.
"I'm sorry Mav..." was all rooster was able to muster up on top of his feelings of guilt and shame.
"We will talk about this when she is awake and okay." Mavericks voice suddenly became harsh, like his emotions were fluctuating and he couldn't decide how he was feeling. "You're dismissed."
Rooster left immediately, not wanting to face Maverick any longer.
Rooster returned to the group in the waiting room only to wait for another two hours before a doctor came down.
"Family of Y/n Blackwood-l/n?"
The entire group of pilots stood up, loosing any tiredness they may have developed. The doctors face was shocked. "Oh! Is there any immediate family here?"
Maverick stood up and cleared his throat. "Im her father,"
"Mr. Harold L/n?" The doctor asked.
"No, that's her step father he is on his way." Maverick explained. "Anything that needs to be said can be said in front of them. We're all her family."
The doctor nodded with a smile. "Well, my name is Dr. Wilson and I'm the primary doctor on y/n's case. Y/n suffered a pretty bad case of hypothermia along with second degree burns along her back. Luckily the burns will heal in 6-8 weeks with proper medication and care, but we are concerned about the hypothermia. She is stable and warming up now but still unconscious."
"Can we see her?" Rooster jumped at the question, earning a glare from Maverick.
Dr. Wilson smiled. "Maybe just a few at a time for now."
DAY 2
There was no update on y/n's condition. Maverick had been texting the group chat updates as he had received them.
Rooster didn't leave the hospital. He ended up falling asleep in the hallway after he saw y/n. He needed to look at her and see her breathing before his brain let him believe that he didn't get her killed.
It was now about 8 am and Rooster had just retrieved a coffee and a muffin from the cafeteria. He felt the drag of exhaustion combining with the lack of sleep. Though the tiredness wore off when he heard the sound of a distressed male voice.
"Hi, I'm looking for y/n Blackwood? Or it might be l/n? I don't know what it would be under."
This had to be her step-father. Rooster jogged over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hi, are you Harry?" He asked.
"Yes, I am." He responded hesitantly.
"My name is Bradley," he held out a hand for Harry to shake. "I fly with Y/n. I can show you to her room."
"Oh, thank you." He seemed distressed, his eyes red and face puffy. It seemed to Rooster that he had to force himself to stop crying before entering the building.
"What did you say your name was again?" Harry asked.
"Bradley, Bradley Bradshaw."
"Bradshaw... I don't know that I recognize your name."
Rooster chuckled a little as they entered the elevator. "We usually go by our call-signs. Mine is Rooster."
Harry snapped his fingers and smiled. "Yes, that's it. I remember y/n mentioning something about a Rooster. It makes more sense now knowing there's not a chicken at base." Harry gave a halfhearted chuckle.
Rooster hummed a laugh through a tight lipped smile. "I'm glad we could clear that up."
Rooster led them down a series of hallways until they finally reached y/n's room number. 3046. Rooster slid the door open and allowed Harry to step inside. Roosters heart ached every time he saw her unconscious form. She looked so far from herself, her complexion was pale and cold as opposed to her usual lively and fiery self.
Harry slowly approached the bed. He tenderly reached his hand out and placed it on y/n's hairline. "Oh little wolf... I am so sorry."
A knock at the door alerted both their attentions behind them. Maverick stood in the door way with a coffee cup in his hand. He shot a dirty look at Rooster before turning his attention to Harry.
"You must be Harold, I'm-"
"It's Pete, right?"
Maverick raised his eyebrows at the man before him. Rooster bit the inside of his lip. There were so many ways this could go. Did Harry know about Maverick? Was Maverick going to have to explain that? Harry seemed like a down to earth guy, would he explode?
"Yes, it is. Could we talk outside a moment?"
Harry nodded to mavericks suggestion. Rooster took a seat in one of the chairs inside of y/n's room. He looked over at her sleeping figure, watching her chest slowly rose and fall.
Rooster laid his head back on the wall, the door to her room was open just enough that he could hear what was being said by the other two men. Maverick was explaining to Harry what the doctors had told them late last night.
"But the burns, aren't flight suits supposed to be fireproof?" Harry asked.
"Fire retardant, not entirely fire proof. But you're correct the suit should have protected her. The manufacturer and the suits are being investigated."
There was a brief moment of silence between the two of them, Maverick waiting for Harry to say something. "Are we going to need a lawyer to sue them?"
"The U.S. Navy will take care of the investigation, you guys shouldn't have to do anything, but definitely call a trusted lawyer. Our admiral will come by later and talk to you about the legal matters."
Another moment of silence. "Did y/n give you Charlotte's letter?"
"You know?" Maverick asked, his voice quieter now.
Harry chuckled. "I've known from the beginning. I tried many times to convince Charlotte to let her see you but she always said it was never the right time."
This time, Rooster turned around and looked through the blinds to see what was happening. Maverick had a hand on his face, his eyes seeming to well up with tears.
Harry walked over and placed a hand on Mavericks shoulder. "I'm glad she is with you now. You two share so much more than we ever could. Charlotte loved you, for a long time. I saw it every time she looked at y/n."
For the first time in a very, very long time, rooster saw Maverick cry. Tears fell from his blue eyes and down his aged face. He sucked in a sharp breath of air and nodded to Harry. Harry pulled him in for a hug, two fathers, joined by their love for one person.
DAY 3
"Boogie boogie, 12:00!"
"Rooster on your 6!"
"Eject, eject, eject!"
Rooster jolted awake from his nightmare about the situation that happened in the days prior. Her voice in his head was so real, he could see and feel everything from that day. Rooster looked down at his watch.
11:27 am. Man he slept late. And uncomfortably in the poorly cushioned hospital chairs. Much to roosters surprise, Maverick was on the opposite side of the room from him, sitting on a small bench under the window.
"You okay, Brad?" He asked, pausing from typing on his laptop.
Rooster grunted into more of a sitting position. He put his head in his hands and let out a long sigh. "No."
Maverick frowned. As mad as he was at the two for going behind his back, he loved them both equally. And now, they were both hurting. His heart couldn't stand it. "Don't beat yourself up over this. It wasn't your fault."
"But it was!" Rooster snapped. "I should have protected her, I should have kept my cool." Rooster was distraught, his emotions getting the better of him.
Maverick heaved himself up off the bench and walked over to Rooster with his laptop in hand. He sat next to Rooster and handed him the computer.
"I've been emailing with Admiral Simpson all morning. The manufacturer confirmed that the shipment with the same serial number as y/n's suit were defective. It's the first time that this has ever happened. I think they're planning on offering y/n a settlement to sign."
Rooster scrolled through the emails. He scanned over the words but wasn't quite sure what most of them meant. "What settlement?" He asked.
"When y/n wakes up, she will have her lawyers look over the document that the manufacturers lawyers will send. Usually, they'll offer her a certain amount of money as a promise if she doesn't take legal action. If she chooses to take legal action, it's possible that the court will sue the company for more money than the settlement offered."
Rooster nodded his head. "I think I understand." He responded, handing Maverick back his computer.
"I suggest that you find a lawyer too. Admiral Simpson is suggesting we all do. You all can decide to sue the manufacturer as well for potentially endangering your lives."
Rooster nodded, appreciating that Maverick was looking out for the entire team; as usual. There was one question. Rooster couldn't get off his mind. A question that haunted his very existence.
"Mav, what if she doesn't wake up?"
Maverick was silent, thinking about what to say. He licked his lips getting ready to speak when a quiet and weak voice entered the room.
"Who doesn't wake up?"
Maverick and rooster turned their heads towards the bed and stood up immediately.
Y/n, with her eyes half open, gave the two a weak smile. "Did you miss me?"

A cute little beagle with big smiley eyes … how could you not fall in love with Watson? But the residents of my Parisian building were terrified when they saw him enter. Watson is not like any other dog. He’s trained to detect the tiny insects that have been all over the front pages of French newspapers for the past few weeks: bedbugs.
This fall, fear has become paranoia. Pictures of bedbugs in cinemas, metros, and trains have saturated social media. “I’ve been getting so many calls from worried people lately,” says Watson’s owner, Charlotte Ducomte, founder of the company WatsonDetect. For years now, she and Watson have been going through the city and its suburbs to detect bedbugs in private apartments and company offices. These past few weeks, she’s been inundated with calls from people who “wanted to have their apartment checked … just in case.” There is “ia bedbug panic in Paris” right now, she says.
Bedbug numbers in France have surged in 2023. There’s been a 65 percent increase in pest control visits for the insects across the country this year compared to last, says France’s Union Chamber of Insect Control.
This is partly due to the weather. According to Jean-Michel Bérenger, an entomologist who cofounded the National Institute for the Study and Fight Against Bedbugs in 2018, heat accelerates a bedbug’s life cycle, and September and October have been particularly hot in Paris—average temperatures have been 4.5 degrees Celsius above normal. “When the temperature inside your house is 25 to 26 degrees Celsius (77 to 78.8 Fahrenheit), it takes only five days for the bedbug eggs to hatch. In normal conditions, when the temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius, it takes 10 days,” he explains.
But the current plague of bedbugs is also part of a general rise in their numbers in recent years, says Bérenger. The modern world, filled with people constantly on the move, easily allows the insects to spread. Ducomte says numbers have been increasing in Paris since 2002 and attributes this to more visitors to the city, driven by cheap flights and the convenience of Airbnb. “People move a lot more than before … and thus, they are more likely to be infested,” she says.
When Watson moves through my apartment, he doesn’t stop anywhere. Lucky me. Pausing is his way of showing his owner that he can smell bedbugs, which in the early stages of an infestation can be hard to detect—the insects are quite shy, often hiding inside furniture frames or under floorboards during the day and coming out to feast at night. With few effective tools for detecting small numbers of bedbugs, dog-based services have become increasingly popular in the city, even if the limited research on them suggests their accuracy can be patchy.
And even if a dog can sniff the insects out, it can’t get rid of them. This has to be done by humans. Parisian pest control companies are doing a healthy trade too.
For Hygiène Premium, which specializes in insect and rat control, traditionally about 40 to 50 percent of people calling them have trouble with bedbugs. “Now, that’s eight people out of 10,” says Sacha Krief, its associate manager. Overall, his company has seen a 30 percent increase in the number of bedbug-treatment cases.
According to Anses, France’s national health security agency, the average cost to get rid of bedbugs is 890 euros ($937), and the price is often even higher in Paris. “It can go up to 1,000, 2,000, even 3,000 euros. Not many people can get this out of their bank accounts overnight,” says Antoine Demière, an advisor to Paris’ first deputy in charge of urban planning. Given the large amounts of money involved, a national registry of certified companies is in the works to prevent unscrupulous actors from scamming clients—40 cases of bedbug-related fraud have been reported to France’s directorate for consumer affairs over the past few months.
For social tenants, there’s protection against these high prices, thanks to a 2020 agreement signed between the town hall and social housing groups. Each household pays an additional 4 euros per year on their rent, and, in cases of a bedbug infestation, the city will take care of it for free. “Our top priority is to protect lower-income Parisians,” explains Demière. “We don’t help the poorer population because they’re more likely to get bedbugs, but because they’re less likely to be able to pay thousands of euros to have their home disinfected.”
However, it can take up to several weeks before the social housing groups hire private pest control companies to take care of the problem—way too long to contain the crisis, says Ducomte.
These companies have traditionally used chemicals to get rid of bedbugs, but they are using them less and less, says Bérenger: “The European Union now prohibits the use of some, and people are less and less eager to have chemical products all over their house.” Plus, bedbugs are getting resistant, he says. “They won’t die, they’ll just move on to another apartment, especially when the protocol is not professionally executed.” For these reasons, French companies are now prioritizing “mechanical solutions.” The main three are steam treatment, cryogenic technologies, and heat guns—the goal being to kill bedbugs and their eggs using either very high or very low temperatures. These processes are more expensive than chemical ones because they require more people, but they also save a lot of time.
“When you use chemicals, the house or the hotel room must be emptied for two to three weeks,” says Bérenger. “But one morning can be enough to treat an entire school with dog detection and a mix of the mechanical solutions.” The entomologist has already treated schools in this manner in Marseille; Demière confirms that schools have also been disinfected with mechanical solutions in Paris. But even with these measures, Bérenger thinks overall numbers are unlikely to decline, given recent trends. Instead, “the number of bedbugs will probably continue to increase until it reaches a plateau,” he estimates. For him, the current media hype is useful. More people are now aware of the problem and know how to recognize bedbugs—thus, the problem of an infestation can be addressed earlier in many instances.
Yet public awareness brings a new problem: misinformation. “Everybody now thinks they know everything about bedbugs,” says Krief. “But people tend to forget that pest control is a real job. You can’t get rid of bedbugs with chamomile oil.” The national government’s response to the problem this autumn has been slow—something that Demière, of the Parisian government, ascribes to “the French administration mille-feuilles.” To him, the little layered cake is a good illustration of French bureaucracy, with the different parts of the system not joined up and working together. As of now, there are no national rules or regulations on bedbugs. This makes it difficult to establish efficient ways to contain the pests—but there are some proposals on the table.
For instance, in France it’s mandatory for home owners and tenants to have home insurance. Paris officials are pushing for the addition of a bedbug clause in this insurance—but without increasing premiums too much: “The idea would be to add a few euros a year to the mandatory insurance,” says Demière. “We all have to be insured against fire, even though, luckily, very few people will have a fire in their home. Why couldn’t it be the same with bedbugs?” This might not stop the insects from spreading, but it would at least help people avoid getting hit with huge bills. The availability of insurance might also convince people to treat infestations as a priority, which could lower the rate at which the bugs spread. The mayor of Paris is involved in talks with the government and is also in touch with members of parliament, who have recently brought the subject to the National Assembly: On October 3, left-wing MP Mathilde Panot brought a bedbug (in a test tube) into parliament to force the government to take action to contain the crisis. A ministerial meeting took place on October 6, but so far, nothing has been announced. But with on nine months until the 2024 Paris Olympics, which will bring in hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world, time is running out for France to get on top of the problem.

Considering all of this, it is easy to see why it is a huge hit year after year with Irish holidaymakers.
Walt Disney World
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, which consists of two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, as well as four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Your inner kid will be free in Disney, a popular choice among Disney enthusiasts alike. Disney knows how to make the most of your vacation with exhilarating attractions, enchanted character parades, breathtaking fireworks displays, and lots of entertainment around every corner. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land are two examples of recent Disney additions, and like Universal Orlando, each of their parks is always receiving all-new attractions.
Theme Parks
Orlando is known as the world's theme park capital for a very entertaining reason. There are plenty of thrilling rides and relaxing activities in Orlando, whether you're travelling with family or by yourself.
Orlando is filled with fantastic locations like SeaWorld, Universal, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay, all of which provide the greatest pleasure you could possibly desire, in somewhat different ways, except for Disney, which had to get its own mention (hint: you should probably visit all of them, just to find out which is your favorite).
Whether you choose to experience them all or simply show up for one, Orlando will provide a little taste of excitement for everyone, including roller coasters, thrill excursions, fascinating underwater worlds, and lots of parades. This is undoubtedly among the most well-liked justifications for travelling to Orlando.

Book Cheap Flights to Atlanta: Exploring Affordable Travel Options
Planning a trip to Atlanta, one of the most vibrant cities in the U.S., can be thrilling, but finding budget-friendly travel options can often feel overwhelming. Thankfully, with some research and smart choices, you can book cheap flights to Atlanta and enjoy your trip without breaking the bank. Whether you're traveling for business, a weekend getaway, or an extended vacation, there are several options that can help you save money on transportation, including flights and trains.
Why Atlanta?
Atlanta, Georgia, is a city rich in history, culture, and entertainment. Home to landmarks like the Georgia Aquarium, the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, and the World of Coca-Cola, it's no wonder that millions of tourists flock to the city each year. Online Flight Ticket Booking USA Beyond its major attractions, Atlanta’s food scene, green spaces, and vibrant neighborhoods offer something for everyone. However, securing an affordable flight is often the first step toward making your trip to the city stress-free and enjoyable.
Booking Cheap Flights to Atlanta
Finding cheap flights to Atlanta has become easier thanks to online travel platforms and budget-friendly airlines. To score a good deal, consider booking your flight at least a few weeks in advance. Additionally, being flexible with your travel dates and times can help you snag lower prices. Flying mid-week or during off-peak hours often results in cheaper fares.
Airlines that offer budget-friendly options include low-cost carriers as well as major airlines with frequent deals. Using flight comparison websites to monitor price fluctuations can also help you lock in the best fares. Additionally, consider looking into budget airlines like Norse Atlantic Airlines, which offers transatlantic flights at competitive rates. Norse Atlantic Airlines focuses on providing affordable international travel, making it a great choice if you're flying into Atlanta from abroad or another major U.S. city.
Norse Atlantic Airlines: A Game-Changer for Budget Travel
Norse Atlantic Airlines is an emerging player in the affordable flight industry, specializing in long-haul travel between Europe and the United States. Founded with the goal of making transatlantic flights more accessible to budget-conscious travelers, Norse Atlantic has rapidly gained a reputation for its competitive pricing and reliable service.
If you’re planning to fly to Atlanta from Europe or one of their U.S. destinations, Norse Atlantic’s no-frills service can help you save significantly on airfare. While the airline focuses on keeping prices low, it also offers a range of options to suit different travel needs, including economy and premium economy seating, baggage options, and in-flight services. For travelers seeking to balance cost and comfort, Norse Atlantic Airlines is a great option to consider when booking your flights to Atlanta.
Amtrak Train Bookings: Another Budget-Friendly Option
If flying isn’t your preferred mode of travel, or if you’re already in a nearby city, consider booking an Amtrak train to Atlanta. AMTRACK TRAIN BOOKINGS offer a scenic and often more relaxed way to travel, without the stress of airport security lines and cramped airplane seats.
Traveling by train can also be an affordable alternative, especially for those coming from nearby cities such as Birmingham, Charlotte, or Washington, D.C. Amtrak offers a variety of ticket options, including saver fares that can be significantly cheaper when booked in advance. Additionally, traveling by train allows you to bring more luggage without the hefty fees often associated with airlines, making it a convenient option for those planning longer stays or family trips.
Amtrak’s Crescent route, for instance, connects New York City to New Orleans, with a stop in Atlanta. It’s a great option for those who want to enjoy a leisurely journey with picturesque views of the southeastern U.S.
Tips for Finding the Best Deals
Be Flexible: The more flexible you are with your travel dates and times, the better your chances of finding a cheap fare. Try to avoid peak travel days like weekends and holidays.
Book in Advance: Flights and train tickets are often cheaper when booked early. Keep an eye out for sales or promotional deals that can lower the cost even further.
Use Price Comparison Tools: Websites that compare prices from different airlines and travel companies are invaluable for finding the best deals. Setting up price alerts can notify you when prices drop.
Consider Alternative Airports: If Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL) is too pricey, look for flights to nearby airports like Birmingham-Shuttlesworth or Chattanooga Metropolitan. These may offer cheaper fares, with a short drive into the city.
Check for Package Deals: Sometimes, booking your flight, hotel, and car rental together can help you save more than booking each individually. Many travel websites offer package deals, so it's worth considering.

In Georgia it is awful. My city, Athens, is an hour east of Atlanta.
We have been begging for 30 years to have a short rail connection to the MARTA station 50 miles away in Doraville. It would let us get to the ATL airport without having to take a bus, car, or van. It would let us go to museums, the zoo and the aquarium, and to visit family and friends, without having to use a car. It would free up thousands of cars of traffic from people who commute along that corridor daily.
And the NIMBYs in Gwinnett county keep saying no.
The good news is we're now part of a long term high speed rail plan, finally, but this train line probably won't be built before I'm dead. (This particular line would also let me visit my in-laws in SC without having to use a car on I-85; they could pick us up at the Greenville-Spartanburg airport 5 miles from their house. It would be a bidirectional train for us from Athens at least twice a month, and that's not even touching on being able to go to Charlotte for a weekend!)
I want this so bad. The gas to get to Dunwoody Station (to take the train to the airport) in my car is about $30 round trip. The parking at Dunwoody station is $5 a day. MARTA from Dunwoody to the airport is $5 round trip, per person. So a weekend trip that involves a plane flight is at minimum $50 for two people by car, and goes up from there if we stay longer. That's the cheapest, most hassle option. There are more expensive, less hassle options (van ride to the airport for $120 round trip per person, or airport parking itself for $10/day minimum.)
NOT TO MENTION THAT I HAVE TO DRIVE ON I-85 AND/OR I-285 HELLSCAPES IN THE CURRENT CHEAP SCENARIOS.
If I could get a train ticket to the airport, round trip, for a reasonable rate ($50-75 per person would be swell for high speed) and it could get me there in about an hour, and I could avoid I-85 entirely, I'd pay it in a heartbeat.
I don't think people in the Northeast realize how bad the transit is outside the Northeast. Like let's say you live in Cincinnati and want to visit a friend in Louisville. These 2 cities are about 90 miles apart as the crow flys. Your only options are to drive, take one of 3 daily busses from Greyhound and Baron busses, or fly.
In comparison, if you wanted to get from Baltimore to Philadelphia which are about the same distance, you get 17 daily busses from Flixbus, Megabus, Greyhound, and Peterpan Busses as well as 36 amtraks

Charlotte & Pawel
CHARLOTTE
I got a knock on my door and the new guy came in. His name was Pawel and he’d only started the other week and so I didn’t know him so well. He was coy and his English (from what I had experienced so far) wasn’t so good. I smiled at him when he came into the office, after knocking at the door. But his expression was grave. He said, “Miss. Sorry. There’s a problem in the changing room.” – “Okay?” I responded. “What’s the problem?” – “I don’t know how to explain … There is problem with the machine. I don’t know the word.” I told him I would come to the changing room to see what he meant. So I followed him up the stairs. I noticed that he had huge shoulders, which I kind of liked. He opened the door at the top and we went through the corridor and got to the changing room and through that door, there was water seeping. He opened the door and it opened in to the changing room which was entirely flooded with water. And then I got what Pawel had meant earlier. The washing machine had exploded. Ha. Somehow. Because I was in a good mood, that day at work, for some reason: I just laughed. I looked at the scene of the room and it made me giggle because it was so slapstick. And Pawel’s head shot over to me to check the noise. And then he smiled as well. I think Pawel thought that I might think that it was him that exploded the washing machine and he was nervous that he may get in trouble. It obviously wasn’t. [And he had a nice smile as well and I enjoyed the way his lips moved.] “It’s okay Pawel we can get this cleaned up. Hahaha. Was it like this when you came in for work?” – “Yes, it was.” I kept laughing. “Come down to the laundry room and we can get some towels to soak up the water.” He followed me down and we got into the laundry room and the towels were hot and warm and I put a bunch of them into Pawel’s huge arms (me noticing again how huge he was) and then we took the bundles back to the changing room and set about laying them on the floor. “I wonder how on earth it exploded,” I said, looking at the machine, which had a crumpled, deflated look to it. Pawel looked up at me and I caught a little something in his gaze. ... ... There wasn’t so much to that story apart from that. The main thing being that I liked Pawel from that day onwards. We didn’t work together for so long. Because he was from Poland and then Brexit happened. And he went back to his home land. Country. I got the impression, whilst he was still here, that he liked me as well. Because he could never make eye contact properly and when he did connect the eyes there was a little spark in them, or so I hoped. Maybe he didn’t and I was only being naïve. He was four years younger than me. And was naturally reserved, compared to me being a chatterbox. And we never properly got speaking because of the language barrier thing. But, I missed him when he went. Pawel was a good worker too; whereas in hospitality there are many many crummy workers who never put the elbow grease in. And they leave or get fired for various reasons. Or they just aren’t good people. … … Now and then I think about getting in touch with Pawel, because we befriended each other on Facebook. I had holiday plots at work. And I’d never been to Poland before. He was from Krakow. And there were cheap flights from here to there that I thought about booking before. And maybe after I booked them I thought I could message him and say, “Hey Pawel. I’m gonna be in your home city for a while on holiday. Fancy meeting up for a drink?” But perhaps that was too corny and maybe he wasn’t interested and perhaps he had a girlfriend over there anyway. Probably did, looking the way he did. Hey ho. I hope he’s well.
PAWEL
I thought she was glorious the minute I saw her. He had blonde hair that was almost white and a strange face and thin body and she was loud and the sound of her laugh made me grin, the way that some people can make you chuckle only by their laughter. I wished that my English had been better and that I was able to speak to her a bit better. And I knew that she was a bit older than me so wasn’t sure whether she was interested or not. I get that women flirt with you for fun. And they play this with men and must enjoy not knowing whether you take it seriously or not. But, yes, I think about her a lot. Still, even though it’s been two years since I’ve seen her. I go out on my balcony for a cigarette and look across Krakow. The lights in the high rises spanning across the city. This is where I grew up. And I still love Poland. But I miss England as well, and wished I could have stayed there permanently. You know what’s even more silly? I dream about Charlotte from time to time as well. The dreams aren’t so spectacular in a prose sense; I’m just back at work with her and we’re doing trivial stuff and I’m strongly aware of her presence next to me, with that blonde hair. Then I wake up. I still like to remember that time when the washing machine broke. She was the boss so I had to go and tell her and I thought she would be mad with me or to take the news. Because the watery mess was crazy! I worried that she would go nuts when she saw what had happened. But she laughed instead. Her laugh was cute and terrific and I wished I was able to have a similar snigger.
