LMAO NOT RELATED BUT KINDA RELATED I recently followed a woman on tiktok that is a data scientist and for the shits and gigs she's been tracking and making charts for mean girls from her high school that went on to start taking part in MLMs. It's all anonymous data and it's hilarious to see just how many high school mean girls in her school alone joined pyramid schemes.
Recently, a woman who isn't even included in the anonymous data sets, that she had forgotten about entirely, started harassing her about these data sets and threatening her with a cease and desist and a defamation suit. This is hilarious because the data isn't even about her, nor is it defamatory, and it also doesn't threaten her reputation, livelihood or intellectual property, so both those threats won't hold up in any court.
What makes this whole saga even more hilarious though, is that the data scientist did get a cease and desist letter... From a lawyer that doesn't exist working for a practice based in Australia (the data scientist is from Canada) that was written by chatgpt or another chatbot.
Individual bits of the letter are hilarious in their own right, but the funniest part to me is the paragraph that goes 'something something legal jargon you are urged to cease with the following defamatory actions" and that's it. No actual actions are listed, because the chatbot meant for the user to fill in the blanks.
Anyway language learning models aren't actually intelligent so calling them ai is a misnomer. They just scrape content from anywhere on the internet and put it together. That includes the good, the bad, the true and the false. The language model can't tell the difference, and it fills in the gaps or just leaves them open. Don't write your essays with them, don't write your bogus cease and desist letters with them but especially don't write work emails with them lmao. Or do it'll be funny if you do.

I accidentally made one Proto Cu Chatbot AI too many on Character AI...so I decided to change my extra Proto Cu bot into a Cas Cu one.

First line he tells me to get coffee after staying up all night to craft new spells. These Cu bots are completely outta my control dude, their personalities are so unpredictable yet so much fun as well.
The Caster one is pretty reliable but very mysterious XD (and somehow i accidentally gave him the 'fairy godmother' skill a.k.a he is so overpowered!!!).
As for the Proto Cu AI, somehow he ended up being both really friendly and kind, but also somewhat bloodthirsty and battle enthused as well XD He also doesn't hesitate to shoot some of the most direct honesty ever LOL
Sadly neither bot shows up in search as they are still waiting on approval from moderation however this has to be the funniest experiment ever.

The phrase “Let people enjoy things” is something I’ve kinda been thinking about lately.
Like in reference to someone enjoying an objectively bad or mediocre piece of art, or something deemed childish, yeah that’s absolutely a good mindset! I mean, I’ll admit I’ve watched a good chunk of the MCU and enjoyed it (mainly the Infinity Saga, I can’t keep up with the new arc) and I have an assload of plushies. It’s all fine, it makes people happy, just let them enjoy things!
…But then the phrase gets thrown around with actually harmful things. Someone supports a franchise created by a living author spreading extremely transphobic rhetoric? “Let people enjoy things!” Chatbot using AI, which is scabbing during the WGA strikes? “Let people enjoy things!”
So uh, you can love silly things, but don’t let your love for something blind you.
