Closed starter for: @rorainadream Location: The Park
With the weather slowly becoming nicer by the day Diablo felt the itch to be outside. Cigarette breaks for five minutes didn't really count for 'being outside.' He hadn't intended to come to the park but more so just cut through to reach his destination quicker. As he walked through the grass, completely ignoring the winding path that was in the park, he noticed a familiar blonde with a naïve look on her face. Diablo supposed he wasn't in too big of a rush and smirked to himself for a moment. He wondered what she remembered, if anything, and could use that information to his advantage. He cut over to the path and followed far enough behind her that she wouldn't notice him but close enough he could keep her in view. Eventually he walked quickly past her, 'accidentally' knocking into her and over into the grass. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" he said with faux remorse. He leaned down and reached his hand out to her, a blank look in his eyes but his hand extended nonetheless. "Are you alright? I'm so clumsy sometimes." He pretended to not recognize her and play dumb, thinking that a 'gentle' approach was the way to do things. He didn't want to scare her off, after all.

The decorations and everything for Christmas had to be perfect, and Atta had taken it upon herself to see that her family’s household was decked out in nothing but the finest. Shopping gave her a bit of anxiety, with how much there was to look at and distractions from wall to wall, which was exactly why she’d enlisted the help of Aurora to come with her. She was someone who brought Atta back down to earth with the sometimes crazy ideas she had and anxiety they caused. “Okay, I’m thinking that you should only let me add one of each item to the cart. Nothing’s going in the cart until it’s fully approved and I’m sure I’m buying it. Also, I’m trying to keep the color scheme to green and red, with a bit of gold in there. You know, totally classic. What do you think, will that look good? Maybe we should just get started and let the store tell me what I want.”

Diablo knew he hadn't exactly been Malina's best right hand lately. While he often had his eyes on Aurora, watching her moves and studying her habits, he had been distracted to say the least. He didn't have Aurora in mind as he walked down the sidewalk downtown that day but then he spotted her out of the corner of his eye entering a shop. Diablo was quick and discreet as he followed her in, keeping his distance as he tracked her moves. He stood slightly away from her, adjacent to her in the aisle. He had picked up a candle that he would likely end up purchasing to not look suspicious. His eyes darted to her ever few seconds as he opened the lid to act like he was going to smell it.
Diablo brought the candle up to his face as she approached him. So, she'd noticed him. That was fine, Diablo thought, he could play this off. The man conjured up a warm smile and shook his head before putting the lid back on the candle. "I don't believe we do," he said casually. Having an excuse already in the back of his mind he continued, "eyes can often play tricks on people. I'll admit I was looking at you but only because I have a dilemma." His smile turned sheepish. "I'm not good at this whole gift giving thing. I was trying to find something for my girlfriend and needed a second opinion. As you can see though I'm alone. I was debating asking on if you thought this scent was nice. I'm really bad at this whole girl thing, and we haven't been dating long so I don't really know what type of candles she likes." Everything he said had been a lie but his expression mirrored the look of a lost puppy. "I'm sorry. That probably sounds really stupid." He frowned and set the candle back down. "I wasn't trying to stare, I'm so sorry. I just get nervous easily and wasn't sure how to approach you."

aurora felt as if she was being watched. it was a hard feeling to distinguish because she used to feel this way all the time when she first arrived in evermore. like there were a part of dark eyes studying her movements, seeing what she was doing next, wondering when the strike. in her dreams she would be chased by blurry figures with the intent to capture her though she never found out what for. she had thought it was a trauma response for being locked up most of her life, and for the most part that was the case, but today felt different. all she was doing was trying to do her biweekly shopping and now she just wanted to find the source of her feelings.
it didn't make sense that she did find herself being stared at by a younger man she had never seen before. at least she was sure she had never seen him before. he looked like the type of guy that would be thrown in prison in her kingdom not a part of the castle staff, as shitty as that sounded. setting down the object she had been debating to buy down she decided to just go over to the guy and figure it out. running from her fears didn't do her any good.
"i'm sorry," she said politely when he was within earshot. "do we know each other? i noticed you were looking in my direction and didn't know if my eyes were just playing tricks on me."

It felt good going out for a run in her werewolf form. Werewolves in town weren’t suppose to go out for runs or even walks alone. Ever since she fount that first body in the woods. She would have shiver at the thought but wanted to block that memory as much as she could. Anyways, she wasn’t just going for a run but searching for clues where she found the body. She stopped near a lake knowing the location wasn’t too far away. She went behind a tree and turned back into her human form. She unwrapped her clothes from her leg and puts them back. She steps from behind the tree stating, “I hope you weren’t watching me as I got dress.” She crosses her arms over her chest with a raised eyebrow. It didn’t take long for her to realize someone had been following her.

It happened so fast. One moment, Faye was helping Aurora get something ready for the party, and the next, the ground was shaking, bedrock shifting underfoot, stone cracking overhead as the primal force of nature turned against them. Faye was acutely aware that this was not natural; if it were, she would’ve sensed the changes beforehand. She didn’t have time to process that, however, as a massive chunk of stone broke free from a nearby wall, falling directly towards the queen. Faye didn’t think, only acted, magic bubbling up under her fingertips, sending a mass of golden sparks towards the stone, she blasted it to oblivion, then created an iridescent golden shield, like a bubble that swelled over them, catching the rest of the rock fragments and harmlessly deflecting them. Only when the shaking had subsided, did Faye look towards the queen. “Are you all right?”

Aurora chuckled softly, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Well, if you’re the ghost, does that make me the friendly haunt? Because I’m here to stir up some fun, darling!" She opened her own menu, glancing at the options before leaning in conspiratorially. "As for the latest news? You’re looking at the newest member of the Midnight Snack Association. I mean, someone has to advocate for those 3 a.m. cravings, right?" She put the menu down, her expression mock-serious. "And just last week, I had a very enlightening discussion with my cat about the purpose of life, which, shocker, he concluded was mostly just napping and occasionally pretending to pay attention to me. So, it’s been quite an adventurous week." With a sly grin, she continued, "But enough about my cat-ademics! How is work? I'd love to see some of your latest designs."
"Girl, sometimes I feel like a ghost and it sucks." Serena admitted and looked at her. "Thank you." She said and hugged her and sat down across from her. "So, tell me what's been new with you?" She asked as she picked up the menu and looked at her friend.

Closed starter for: @aurorareverie Location: The Lucky Cat Cafe
If there was one thing that Diablo remembered clearly it was Phillip's knighting ceremony. He could recall Aurora standing by his side as Maleficent brought the place down in ruins. He knows Mal doesn't but that's why he needs to know more about the girl. He needs to make sure she's not a threat. It was fate that afternoon though when the two of them both ended up at the same cafe. Diablo knew better than to be hostile towards her, not wanting to ruin the chance of getting her to speak to him. When the barista called her name Diablo looked her way and smirked slightly. "Not everyday a sweet angel like you out and about," he says to her. He's curious as if she really knows who he is, if she remembers him being by Mal's side through it all. "Aurora, huh. Has a nice ring to it." When his coffee came up he grabbed it before taking a few steps towards her. "I definitely need this midday pick me up," he said holding up the large coffee in his hand despite having two energy drinks already that day. Diablo knew the girl standing before him was not a normal person. She knew there was more to her than was being let on. He needed to know every bit of the truth, which was really the only reason he had a friendly smile on his face. "You seem so familiar. Do we know each other?" Even if she did recognize him he could at least play off like he didn't remember her.

Diablo had been out, picking up a few things from nearby shop and maybe pocketing a few things along the way like the shiny new silver ring he was wearing. He wasn't above stealing and would sink to that level when the opportunity. He wanted something sweet to snack on and was sure Mal would appreciate the treat later, or be angry if he didn't bring her anything to share. So he ended up in the candy shop, a few bags in one hand as he reached to grab one of the small plastic bags to fill with some chocolates with the other hand when another's hand reached out. He hadn't been paying that close attention to his surroundings and hadn't noticed the girl close to him until he saw her hand and heard her soft voice. He looked over from the candy selections and to her. He knew her face, but was sure to keep a neutral expression. He didn't want to scare her off, but he also knew to keep her at arms length. That much was for sure. "Daydreaming," he repeated. "I suppose this is the type of place to get lost in thoughts or something," he muttered with a shrug. Running into the girl he remembered from Phillip's knighting ceremony was certainly not on his agenda today and meeting her in such a common place was strange. He'd always seen her as part of the enemy and yet she seemed so...harmless. He couldn't quite grasp what she was, but she had a certain aura to her that Diablo wasn't familiar with.
closed starter @dicblo location: sweet stuff
Aurora had been in the mood to shop around. Despite the constant noise and the memories plaguing her mind, she tried to enjoy her freedom as best as she could. There was so much she missed out on growing up and so much that she wished she could have done. When she had walked past a candy store her inner child squealed in delight, so, well, she just had to take a peek inside. It was beautiful and Aurora really knew she shouldn’t be having sweets so early in the day but she figured a nibble on something couldn’t hurt. As she browsed through the overwhelmingly large selections, she brushed her fingers on some of the display names as she passed them by. This was all innocent and well until her fingers accidentally brushed another’s and when she looked up and saw the face of a man she hardly knew, but knew to be on guard for thanks to her pesky memories, she snatched her hand back rather quickly. “I…Sorry about that,” she said giving a small curtsey as she spoke her apology. “I was…daydreaming a bit…”

Silly?” She frowned tempted for a moment to say yes as she always thought of spring as hers not auroras. But she couldn’t say spring was silly or her feelings were since well Persephone was in her mind spring. “No not silly.. not at all.” She answered simply. “In fact quite opposite.” Her hands hovered over the petals and leaves smiling contently her eyes closed for a brief moment letting it all surround her. “Thank you aurora. It’s not done quite yet. There’s more I want to do without..” she stopped herself. She wasn’t going to discuss her mother. “Tell me which ones you like”

“You like to consider it your day? Really?” She smiled politely though her eyes sharpened. Well then.. she thought to herself fighting not to roll her eyes. Her stomach knotted but she smiled nodding. “Oh yes it’s just lovely. Well even better than.” Her hands clasped together in front of her. “You can follow me if you like”
“Silly huh?” The woman laughed a bit while shrugging, the woman nodded to Persephone and followed her path to her shop. As she entered the shop Aurora felt at home with all those different colors and plant’s species. All those flowers’ scent made her remember about her sister and how she missed her so dearly. “You’ve made a beautiful job here.” She commented dreamly as she let all that familiar experience sink inside.

Closed starter for: @rorainadream Location: Last Summer Daze Festival
Diablo was set on a task by Malina to find Aurora and find out what she was up to. He obliged, of course, as he would do most anything she asked of him. Being able to shift was to his advantage because it made getting around faster and spotting the blonde from a distance. In his human form he made his way through crowds towards the direction he had seen her and once he spotted her he made his way towards her, a friendly smile on his face. He was an actor, able to quickly put on a fake happy face and a friendly demeanor. "Why the long face stranger?" he asked when he approached her. He wondered where her friends were, why she was alone at the festival, but used it to his advantage. "You seem a little...lost." He furrows his brow and frowns. "I suppose that's not really the best greeting now is it?" He lets out a soft laugh and rubs the back of his neck. "You just looked distracted was all. Are you alright?"

Diablo noticed her expression and body language. It was clear she was confused why she couldn't hear what was going through his head, he had Maleficent to thank for that. What wasn't clear was if she recognized him or not. She was simply looking at him almost as if maybe she did know him, he thought. As she stared and held onto his hand Diablo couldn't help but smirk. "Take a picture, it will last longer." Diablo had wicked confidence in most things he did and had no issue with his snide comments he thought were funny. Still, he had to play it cool and act calm around her. If Aurora ran and didn't look back he knew trouble would brew. "Oh, perhaps you have. Though, I can't say I recall ever seeing you. Maybe at the club I work at or just around town. It's hard to say. We all see new faces everyday so it's hard to keep up. They say that even if you see a person once in your life, even just catching a glimpse of their face and passing by them, you can see them in a dream. Maybe it was there."
Aurora loved being at the park. It reminded her of home in a way and the way she was able to sneak out for a few moments in the woods. It was a lot less dangerous too, which given the situation, was a nice addition to it all. She had her fair share of danger. Being able to just sit in the soft grass and watch the animals that gathered around the park was enough for her. It was something she could spend a lot of time on and not feel bad about because it was her life now. She was free, with some strings of course, but still free enough to appreciate every moment Evermore had to give. She had been lost in her stroll for the day, which had to be the reason she didn’t get a rush of ongoing thoughts from the guy who knocked into her...or she knocked into him, it wasn’t very clear. When she finally looked up at who had aided in her losing her balance she gasped. She knew that face...he was from her past....but she still didn’t really know anything about him. The weirder thing was that she couldn’t get a read on him if she focused. His mind was clear and it was so refreshing that she took his hand so that she could get up and balance herself. “I’m fine,” she said softly, blushing for a moment when she realized she was still holding his hand and dropping it quickly. “I...Have we met before? I’m sorry to be so bold you just....l feel like I’ve seen you around before.”

"Only because the barista yelled out your name," he pointed out despite the fact not being true. "Read? As much as I can say I enjoy a book every now and then I certainly would say there are far more better things to do than read all alone. "I have a difficult time believing you'd bore anyone, sunshine. What book are you reading though? Surely if it's that interesting you'd rather be alone it's got to have a good plot. You seem like the romance novel type. Correct me if I'm wrong though. If I'm going to read a book I much prefer something...dramatic and thrilling." He took a sip of his coffee then smiled at her again. "I can totally read a person when they'd rather be left alone though. Don't let me stand in the way of you and a good time with your book."
dicblo·:
There was a sickeningly sweet aura surrounding the girl. She radiated innocence and was likely the epitome of kindness. Diablo almost felt bad for lying to her already. Almost. “No?” Well, this changed things. Diablo knew he had to play his cards right. “Maybe in a dream or something then,” he told her with a sweet smile. “Because you look like you just walked out of one.” He stood up straight and glanced down at her, realizing his height was probably intimidating enough. He had to act as tame as possible. “Were you spending your afternoon alone? Surely, a pretty thing like you has better things to do with her time than get a latte and sit alone.” He shrugged. “Though I can’t say it wouldn’t be strange for someone like me to do the same though.” While he took a sip from his coffee he kept his eyes locked on her. “Maybe it’s fate we met. Though I suppose I should introduce myself first.” He conjured up a small laugh. “I’m Diablo. It’s been a pleasure already.”
Aurora could remember nearly every single one of her dreams, and the man in front of her had never been in one of them. Nightmares, though? Those were a different story, and he had certainly occupied a few of those. “Oh, yes, but I don’t mind the alone time, I’m quite content.” She had been used to the alone time, and it would be much safer to spend her cup of coffee by herself, but how was she supposed to say no? Her answer had been that they’d never met before, and she had no reason to decline the invitation. Aurora was almost afraid of what he’d say if she did. “I’m Aurora, but I suppose you already knew that,” she replied with a small nod of her head. “The last thing I’d want to do is bore you with my company, really. I was just going to read while I worked on this latte.”

Diablo cocked his head slightly to the side, a warm smile on his face. "Not my work then, no. You certainly don't seem like you would enjoy yourself there," he said making an assumption. "You're not wasting my time. I have all the time in the world. No where to be, really." He had enough time to spare and his business could wait if need be. "I suppose it is close to sundown," he glanced out at the horizon and squinted slightly. "I'm afraid I've never seen you in my life though," he said before looking back at her. "I must just have one of those faces." He nonchalantly shrugged and shoved his hands in his pocket, feeling his phone vibrate against his hand and pressing the side button to make it stop. "Perhaps I should stop wasting your time though since it will be dark soon and you are out alone. Like you said, it's getting late."

Aurora didn’t know how to take this man. She hardly knew him, he was a part of her memories of the night she was cursed, and she couldn’t hear a single thought from him, which only made him more dangerous. It also made her more curious. Aurora had to be extremely careful with this. “I don’t...I don’t really go out to clubs,” she said softly. “Only...once in a while with my friends...” SHe blushed furiously and looked down at her hands. She hadn’t seen this man in her dreams. She didn’t really see anyone in her dreams these days. Just restless nights or a complete blackout when she did finally sleep. “I....you just seemed familiar that is all. Sorry, I’m not trying to waste your time.” She smoothed out her dress and tried her best to breathe steadily. “I should be going before it starts getting late...”
