i'm surprised that there's not a joke in the view askewniverse movies about the same actors playing different characters

like for example, the joke would go like

"have you ever wondered why brodie and banky look alike, but they also look like that demon motherfucker, and pickle fucker. Or what about those two guys from the Mork from Ork movie that look like those angels, but one of them looked like holden mcneil."

I firmly believe that Bob met Amy while he was away at college in, like, New York, or something. His relationship with her was, as he said, very intense, and I wager it caused him to fall out of contact with multiple people. Not least of these being Jay. I am sure this is why, A. Jay knows of Amy, but has apparently never met her, and B. Their relationship is significantly chillier in the original Jersey Trilogy. Like, the vibe between them warmed up a good deal from “Dogma” onwards. I think Bob came back to Jersey, still in shock from his breakup with Amy. He had not even thought about Jay for weeks, months even, but there he was, waiting for him. And Jay is angry, persistently angry, and crueler towards Bob than he’s ever been. And it takes Bob far too long to figure out that it’s because he’s hurt, and it really is all his fault. Of course things aren’t the same as when he left, how could they be? So, I think that after that point, after the air has cleared, and they are back to where they were, before Bob left, Jay still carries this fear that Bob will leave again. That he’ll have to go off somewhere without Jay, meet another Amy, and this time he won’t come back.
