Please, if you are able, consider donating. I grew up in this area and we are a very small and tight-knit community. Though I may be physically far away now, my heart is still at home, and it is hurting.

Hey in case anyone else is close by me here in Youngstown, Ohio the Arab American Community Center of Youngstown has secured a charter bus for the national march in washington dc on November 4th, on their facebook page you can reserve a seat & attend the march to call for no more US aid to Israel. This is the link to their website where you can also find more information on the march and the AACC itself, and where you can also reserve a seat to support the call to end the genocide in Gaza and no more US aid to Israel.
They recently organized a protest in Boardman this weekend that lined route 224 in order to show support for Palestine, the Palestinian members of our community, and to call for no more US aid.
The AACC's president is a first generation Palestinian American and the center is an integral part of this cities community. They offer scholarships, which are especially important because they allow our Arabic community members to attend schools like Youngstown State University, Ohio State, Kent State, and so many other institutions. They hold food drives in conjunction with the Islamic Society of Greater Youngstown every Friday & Sunday at the Masjid Al-Khair mosque. They presented information on Palestine at a forum in town earlier this month, as a way to help people here understand what's happening and also provide information on how to help. The Arabic members of our community are vital, doing incredible work to support the overall city and I can't imagine the pain they're bearing watching their families and friends in Palestine experience so much suffering.
If you're also part of this community & able to please show up for them. They have always shown up for us, always supported others in need in this city & right now is an hour of great need for them, their families, their friends.
If you cannot attend the march please consider donating to the ISGY, you can do so through their website.
They're not alone in Youngstown, from the river to the sea Palestine will be free.

multiple acts of state terror?
2 siblings (Kindergarten & 1st grader) came to school having severe panic attacks. The State of Missouri had arrested their undocumented mom while she was waiting with them at the bus stop in the morning. They told the kids to just get on the bus when it came. These kids had to ride to school having just witnessed their mom be arrested and taken away for no crime at all besides waiting with them at the bus stop without the proper paperwork.
The State of Missouri (when I was working there in 2010-2013 at least) had a "desegregation" law in place that applied to STL city schools vs. STL county schools. Any black student living in the county could not attend a city school. A student of any other race COULD attend a city school. I dealt with enrollment at a city charter school, so I literally had to turn away black families who lived in the county, while I could enroll a kid of any other race from the county into the city school. There were LEGAL CONSEQUENCES for violating this law. My supervisor who had had my role the previous school year had enrolled a black girl living in STL county into our school for her first grade year. She was adopted and had white parents, so my supervisor thought that we could justify her enrollment in case anyone questioned it. Not only did the State of Missouri question it, they sent goons to our school right after winter break to escort the 6 year old black girl out of her first grade classroom because of her race and where she lived. This happened because of mandatory reporting of the school districts to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
DESE also had a hand in preventing a black Kindergarten student from returning to her Kindergarten class at our school after taking a hiatus from school to receive CANCER TREATMENT. They did not allow her to return because since her mom had to pay for her daughter's cancer treatment after struggling for over a year to ALSO pay for her husband's cancer treatment along with family trips to visit him since he was being treated in Ohio, her mom had to move them out of the city to a cheaper suburb in the county. We did not allow the girl to return because we did not want her to be put through the trauma of being escorted out of school by DESE goons, like they did with the first grader 2 years before.
So, yes. I consider all of those acts of terror on children, and they were carried out by the State of Missouri, so - state acts of terror.
The Principal and parent council went to Jefferson City multiple times to advocate for this law being revoked. I don't know if they ever got traction on that.

Tyler Village
3615 Superior Avenue
Cleveland, Ohio
The first structures in the Tyler Village complex on Superior Ave. in the Cleveland, OH, neighborhood known as Asiatown were originally erected in 1913 by the W.S. Tyler Co., manufacturer of specialty wire products and elevator cabs. From the 1890s to the 1940s, the firm constructed 24 buildings containing a total of 1 million square feet of space on a 10-acre site. Skywalks connected many of the buildings; the complex straddled 36th Street..
Tyler Co. slowly shrank in the 1950s and 1960s, and vacated most of the complex in 1962. The building was sold to Combustion Industries in 1968. The small elevator cab fabrication subsidiary moved out in 1984. Real estate developer Anthony Asher purchased part of the complex in 1975, and the remainder in 1978. converted to condominiums, while the rest was renovated into smaller spaces for light industry. He renamed the complex Downtown Cleveland Industrial Park. Asher sold the property to his sons in the 1990s, but then bought it back in 2005 via his Greystone Commercial Real Estate company.
Since then, several buildings were demolished to create parking space, while the others have been refurbished into retail and light industry space. Businesses located there include nonprofits, several handcrafted furniture companies, artist lofts, a bus and boat charter company, a soda pop manufacturer, a ballet studio, a moving company, several I.T. firms, a vinyl record pressing plant, management firms, start-up biotech and pharmaceutical labs, and three charter schools.

Grab Party Bus Rental Near Me Service and Get to The Airport Early. Why you Shouldn’t Leave your Home Empty when you Travel. Being both a homeowner and a frequent traveller has its pros and cons. After all you always have someplace to come back too, but on the other hand, your home becomes a target the longer it sits empty. What can you do? Grab party bus rental near me Service and get to the airport early! Ironically one of the solutions people commonly use is to let a stranger stay in their house while they’re gone. Use your instincts, but there are good people out there. Always go for trusted friends and family first of course, but when that fails you can put your home up for housesitting. As far as parties go—tell them to spare your home (and the consequences) and party on a Dayton Party Bus Rental. On your way out the door? Get there faster with our best Dayton Ohio Limousines. Now that your home is covered, party like you mean it on Fort Worth Charter Bus Rental!

LEAVE THE DRIVING TO US!
Lucy & Busses
Tumblr media
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles - but what about busses?  When all other forms of transportation failed, there was always reliable bus transportation to rely upon.
Tumblr media
In May 1944, the St. Louis (MO) Public Service Company issued bus passes with film promotion for the Lucille Ball motion picture Meet the People co-starring Dick Powell. Such ads on bus passes were not uncommon in larger cities.
Tumblr media
Busses were common forms of transportation for touring theatrical performers, including Desi Arnaz and His Orchestra. In early July 1947 they performed in Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin before hitting the road for Akron, Ohio. At the last minute, Arnaz and his brother-in-law, Fred Ball, the band manager, decided to fly to Detroit to see Lucy’s play Dream Girl, while the rest of the orchestra traveled to Akron by bus. Disaster struck as the Checkerway Charter Coach driver James O’Brien fell asleep at the wheel. A westbound truck driver tried to swerve out of the way but couldn’t avoid the out-of-control bus. Nearly everyone inside was hurt - some seriously. The two band members who took Desi’s and Freddy’s regular seats up front were hurt the worst.
THE (BUS) TOUR
Tumblr media
“The Tour” (1955) ~ Possibly the most famous example of Lucy and busses came in this memorable episode of “I Love Lucy” when Lucy and Ethel take a bus tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills while Ricky has lunch with Richard Widmark. This episode integrated studio-shot footage, second unit location filming of the bus in Beverly Hills, and actor doubles. We see Lucy and Ethel boarding the bus (#134) and later walking towards what is supposed to be Richard Widmark’s house, but was in actuality the Arnaz mansion on Roxbury Drive.
Tumblr media
They board a Tanner Gray Line Motor Tour, which was an actual guided tour at the time. The Gray Line still operates sightseeing bus tours to this day.
Tumblr media
Once aboard, the interior of the bus was recreated in the studio. The tour bus driver was played by Benny Rubin. Other passengers include Barbara Pepper (who takes the seat Lucy wanted), Audrey Bentz (the large woman who sits on Lucy), Vivian’s stand-in Renita Reachi, Desi’s stand-in Bennett Green, and Lucy’s future stand-in Joan Carey are also aboard.
LUCY: Pardon me, this seat is taken. PEPPER (not moving): It sure is, honey.
Tumblr media
The tour bus route as it appears today, thanks to Google Earth!
Tumblr media
“Lucy Moves To NBC” (1980) ~ The special opens with a tour bus covering the very same route as in “The Tour”. Lucille Ball (playing herself) gets off the bus and we realize she has hitched a ride home!
Tumblr media
“Lucy Gets Lucky” (1975) ~ Lucy Collins takes the bus to Las Vegas to see her favorite star, Dean Martin. The bus lets her off at the MGM Grand, but Lucy’s budget has her staying at the less glamorous Cactus Flower Motel.
Tumblr media
Stone Pillow (1985) ~ When Florabelle is mistakenly herded onto a bus to the Brooklyn shelter, an overweight woman accidentally sits on her. A similar thing happened in “The Tour” in 1955, when Lucy Ricardo was switching seats on a bus tour of the movie stars’ homes.
SPEAKING OF BUSSES...
Tumblr media
“Fred and Ethel Fight” (1952) ~ While trying to repair the Mertzes’ relationship, Lucy and Ricky fight and Ricky leaves. She schemes how to get him back.
ETHEL: I'll call up Ricky and tell him you've been run over by a bus. LUCY: Run over by a bus? Well, that seems rather drastic. ETHEL: Oh, we'll only pretend. Have you got plenty of adhesive tape and bandages in the house? LUCY: Well, that all depends. ETHEL: On what? LUCY: On what kind of a bus I get hit by, local or express. I hope you got the number of the bus that hit me.
Tumblr media
“Getting Ready” (1954) ~ No sooner has Lucy agreed to take the train to Hollywood, she re-considers. She peruses the bus schedule, which has been redacted to obscure the brand name: Greyhound.
Tumblr media
“Tennessee Ernie Hangs On” (1954) ~ When ‘Cousin’ Ernie visits, he refuses to accept a bus ticket home. The episode becomes about how to get Ernie on the bus home without hurting his pride.
RICKY: Get a load of this. LUCY: What is it? RICKY: This is a bus ticket to Bent Fork. LUCY: He won't take it.
Tumblr media
“California, Here We Come!” (1955) ~ Just before the gang leave for California, Lucy’s mother (Kathryn Card) shows up unexpectedly. How did she get there from Jamestown?
Mrs. McGillicuddy: I took the bus. It let me off right in front of the door. Lucy: Wait a minute. The bus doesn't come down this street. Mrs. McGillicuddy: That's what the bus driver tried to tell me.
Tumblr media
“Visitor from Italy” (1956) ~ Mario (Jay Novello), a Venitian gondolier they met on their trip to Europe, shows up on the Ricardos’ doorstep looking for his brother. He refuses to accept bus fare to San Francisco, where they believe his brother has gone.
RICKY: (Returning home) Well, that's that. LUCY: You get him on the bus? RICKY: Yep. He's on his way to San Francisco. I stayed there until the bus pulled out.
The doorbell rings. It is Mario’s brother. He’s been visiting a sick friend - Sam Franceso, not in San Francisco. Of course, the episode is best known for Lucy making pizza.
Tumblr media
“Lucy and Superman” (1957) ~ Carolyn Appleby (Doris Singleton) tells Lucy and Ricky about the film they saw starring Marilyn Monroe. Although the title is never mentioned, it is clearly a description of Bus Stop, also starring Don Murray. It was released in August 1956, two and a half months before this episode was filmed. The story, from a play by William Inge, takes place primarily at a desolate bus stop cafe.
Tumblr media
“Lucy Meets Sheldon Leonard” (1967) ~ Lucy's excuse for being late to work is that the smog was so thick she couldn't find the bus.
Tumblr media
“Lucy and Viv Reminisce” (1968) ~ Instead of flying her out, cheapskate Mr.  Mooney sends Viv a bus ticket to travel 3,000 miles to come and nurse Lucy when she breaks her leg.
Tumblr media
“Leave The Driving To Us” ~ was the advertising slogan of the Greyhound Bus Company. It was first used in 1956 and appeared for the next 40 years. It was used as a punchline in “Lucy the Laundress” (1970), “Lucy Helps Craig Get a Driver’s License” (1969) and “Lucy and the Used Car Dealer” (1969).
BUS SPOTTING
Tumblr media
1940 ~ A New York City bus passes by the Roxy Theatre where Desi Arnaz was performing when he eloped with Lucille Ball.
Tumblr media
1955 ~ “Lucy Visits Grauman’s” includes stock footage of a bus passing by Grauman’s Chinese theater, where the Clark Gable / Jane Russell film The Tall Men was premiering.
Tumblr media
1957 ~ “Lucy and Superman” includes a rare insert shot of the street below the ledge where Lucy intends to ‘crash’ Little Ricky’s birthday party as Superman. This view shows a city bus stopping outside 623 East 68th Street. This disproves Lucy’s assertion to her mother in 1955′s “California Here We Come” that the bus doesn’t come down their street!
Tumblr media
1957 ~ In “Lucy Wins a Racehorse” a bus unloads passengers headed into Roosevelt Raceway in this establishing footage.
Tumblr media
1958 - Busses in the distance line up to go through customs headed in and out of Tijuana in “Lucy Goes To Mexico”. This second unit footage was shot on location using actor doubles.
Tumblr media
1966 ~ The iconic double-decker busses of London crowd Picadilly Circus in this establishing footage from “Lucy in London”, a special shot on location.
SPECIAL BUS ROUTES
Tumblr media
“I Love Lucy Comics” (1961) ~ “The School Bus” has Little Ricky missing the bus!
Tumblr media
“Lucy is a Process Server” (1964) ~ Tracking Mr. Mooney to the train station, a bedraggled Lucy passes a winter-themed travel poster for Greyhound.
Tumblr media
2013 ~ A Toronto sightseeing bus is wrapped with advertising for an “I Love Lucy” stage show.
Tumblr media
Busses for the “Lucytown Tours” in Jamestown NY stop at the Lucy-Desi Museum.
Tumblr media
The Rat Race (2011) ~ In the film, Cuba Gooding Jr. drives a tour bus full of Lucy look-a-likes!
Tumblr media
In a scene deleted from the film (but included on the DVD extras), the bus-load of Lucys encounter a tour bus full of Rickys!
Tumblr media
Finally, the most famous bus driver on television, Ralph Kramden (Jackie Gleason) makes a cameo appearance at the end of “Lucy Visits Jack Benny” (1968). It seems money-hungry Benny charges busses of tourists to tour his Palm Springs home. The tour includes a hamburger or hot dog. Bus driver Kramden opts for a hamburger with dollar bill lettuce!

Shelton Speculation
When we look back at the speculation the last 2 weeks, as a fandom, its amusing.
I have done my fair share of speculating the last two weeks!
Aug 24
G grocery shopping with King (she can’t be going with B tomorrow) and (boys custody change is Friday and concert is Wednesday)
Aug 24 G shows new nails (she must have a photoshoot or mv)
Aug 25 B going up stairs to stage in Ohio and no sign of G (G didn’t go to Ohio)
Aug 25: G sings with B and posts IG from bus
====
Aug 29,30,31
Speculation: GB will go back for First Day of School (I really thought they would!)
Speculation: They will get the boys and take to her concert and boys only have a half day of school rest of week
Speculation: They will get the boys for LD weekend
=========
No trips back to LA
Boys with GR over a week
=========
Sept 3
Sept 2: Plane goes to Toldeo
Speculation: B went along, usually he goes if plane goes (This was my speculation).
Speculation: B wouldn’t go because of whatever reason he cancelled his 3 concerts
B not seen in Ohio or around where G is practicing (B didn’t go)
Plane picks up someone on ranch and takes to DFW airport (B didn’t go to Toledo) and (He wouldn’t leave someone at new house(been there since Sat))
Speculation: Plane picked up KL or maybe boys
Tweet posted someone’s brother saw B in Dallas. (B definitely didn’t go to Toledo)
Tweet could be a troll because just opened twitter account.
Speculation: G is going to go back to LA from Toledo to get boys, since it’s exchange day and plane will go back empty to OK to B
Plane goes back to OK
Speculation: B went back to OK and G took a charter to LA from Toledo
Speculation: G is going to OK to pick up B and they are going to LA to get boys
Toledo hotel on FB posts thanks for staying with us (people don’t believe hotel and won’t believe unless there are photos)
Michele and Suzie seems to be in OK (maybe this is the reason he cancelled his concerts)
Speculation: Is he doing a MV, SW commercial? Are they doing a National Interview? Photoshoot of some sort?
Speculation: Maybe Danilo came back with G to do her make-up for what ever is going on(if it involves her)
Speculation: Plenty regarding why he cancelled his 3 concerts.
Speculation: There is a bd party for Dot (since B maybe gone for her bd), they will probably go back LA after the party Saturday
Plane goes back to LA Monday
Plane stays in LA no return trip (B is along and going to Nashville from LA)
Photos that only show G at airport (B is in OK and plane waiting for maybe Todd or some LA based people)
So at this point we know G is in LA and B  needs to be in Nashville Thursday.
And I know I can’t even guess what is going to happen.
