            being  on  time  was  never  the  female's  strong  suit,  and  this day  was  no  exception.  "  has  it  started  already  ?  "  she  asked  the  older  male  leading  her  through  the  stadium,  groaning  when  he  nodded  in  response.  allowing  one  of  her  brother's  managers  to  lead  her  to  her  seat,  she  scoots  through  the  narrow  aisle  of  concertgoers,  "  sorry,  oooops,  sorry.  "  in  the  process  of  getting  to  her  seat,  jihye  steps  on  her  seatmate's  foot,  "  oh,  fuck,  sorry  !  "  she  calls  out  to  the  other  female,  sitting  beside  her  with  a  thud,  "  did  i  hurt  you  ?!  "  turning  to  face  her  new  concert  buddy,  an  apologetic  stare  etched  on  her  face.

 a  little  something  for @charmfox  to  celebrate  aeriday  !

 a  little  nervous  when  it  comes  to  birthdays,  just  getting  that  little  info  about  her  coming  birthday.  standing  outside  as  hyunwoo  was  waiting  for  aeri  to  appear,  who  he  had  asked  to  join  in  for  hot  chocolate,  the  weather  getting  colder  too  so  that  was  perfect.  looking  around  and  waiting,  he  was  dressed  in  causual  clothing  ;  just  hoodie  with  jeans,  not  wanting  to  stand  out.  still  hiding  the  fact  he  was  from  a  rich  family  but  he  was  there  to  spend  the  day  with  aeri  and  give  her  a  good  one  too,  wanting  her  to  be  happy  on  her  birthday.

 whistling  around  until  he  sees  a  short  female  running  towards  him,  which  he  knew  straight  away  that  it  was  aeri.  smile  widening  and  body  turning,  hand  up  for  a  wave.  ❛  hey,  you  made  it  !  ❜  he  says,  gesturing  for  her  to  go  inside  the  cafe  he  had  picked,  walking  inside  he  tells  aeri  to  find  a  good  seat,  to  send  her  off  so  he  could  order  their  drinks  and  something  sweet  to  eat  on.  waiting  a  moment  more,  carrying  the  tray  over  to  the  table  picked.  ❛  be  careful,  the  hot  chocolate  is  really  hot  and  i  got  us  a  little  cake.  ❜  he  smiles  at  her  as  his  hand  slips  inside  the  pocket  of  his  hoodie.

 ❛  i  wasn't  sure  if  you  ..  wanted  anything,  but  ..  if  i  remember  right,  it's  your  birthday  ?  ❜  he  says,  hoping  he  had  gotten  it  right.  pulling  a  box  out  of  his  pocket  as  he  slides  it  over  the  surface  of  the  table.  it's  pink,  wrapped  in  white  silk  ribbon.  ❛  i  wasn't  sure  if  you  like  ..  gold  or  silver,  but  i  went  with  silver.  ❜  he  smiles  shy,  looking  down  now  and  going  for  his  drink  as  he  waits  aeri  open  the  box.  ❛  it's  a  bracelet  with  a  charm.  ❜  he  says  and  takes  a  sip,  feeling  the  hot  liquid  burn  his  upperlip  but  he  doesn't  mind  it.  ❛  happy  birthday,  aerbear.  ❜  he  says,  gaze  up  to  her  again  and  he  just  smiles  at  her,  hoping  and  wishing  ..  she  likes  his  birthday  gift  for  her.

જ⁀➴ ❝  I  keep  checking  the  terminal  to  see  if  there's  anything  good  in  stock  to  get  to  lift  the  moral  on  the  ship  in  preparation  for  Christmas  ,  but  all  it's  offering  me  is  the  same  hazard  suit  and  a  toilet  ❞  Verity  rolled  her  eyes  ,  closing  down  the  shop.  It  wasn't  exactly  her  idea  of  online  shopping  but  out  here  it  was  the  closest  they  were  going  to  get.

"I can't go tonight, I have dance practice! Supposed to go all the way until midnight," Soobin said around the quick eating of her noodles. There wouldn't be time for her to eat a real meal and would be practicing for hours, so she wouldn't feel so bad about eating like this. "What about tomorrow? I should have some time off then before I leave for the weekend. It's been so busy lately I know we haven't had much time to spend together."

"  can  you  back  off  for  like  two  seconds?  "  with  his  furrowed  eyebrows  and  pout  that  had  formed  on  his  lips,  jaewon  was  trying  hard  to  concentrate  on  their  game  of  mario  kart  -  a  normal  late  night  activity  for  the  both  of  them.  he  had  always  appreciated  when  aeri  would  allow  him  to  stay  in  her  pc  bang  for  hours  upon  hours  whenever  he  wasn't  streaming  or  couldn't  be  bothered  to  finish  up  his  studies  but  when  it  came  to  gaming  against  her  ,  it  was  something  he  would  always  dread.  normally  jaewon  would  be  the  ace  at  everything  he  tried,  whether  that  be  league  of  legends,  valorant,  fortnite,  dead  by  daylight  -  so  on  and  so  forth  ,  but  when  it  came  to  mario  kart  ?  he  would  always  some  how  lose  and  his  giant  ego  would  always  be  crushed.  "  .  .  .  next  time  we're  playing  on  stream  --  i  need  to  beat  you  in  front  of  my  viewers  and  then  i'll  be  the  champion  forever  and  you'll  never  ever  win  ever  again--  "  the  male  began  to  ramble  on  about  his  big  ideas  that  came  with  streaming  his  "win"  although  the  chances  of  that  happening  were  still  zero.

            the  female  raised  her  right  eyebrow  upon  hearing  aeri's  answer,  '  really  ?  they  only  make  ten  of  those  a  year  .  .  that's  .  .  surprising.  it's  expensive,  very  expensive,  you  know  ? '  there  was  that  condescending  tone  she  always  used.  she  wasn't  dumb,  she  knew  that  there  was  a  high  chance  that  that  could  be  the  ring  she  saw  in  her  fiancé's  dresser  the  other  day,  but  how  ?  what  connection  could  hyunki  possibly  have  with  someone  like  her  ?  she  keeps  such  thoughts  to  herself  for  now,  not  wanting  to  give  aeri  the  satisfaction  in  seeing  her  distraught.   '  i  suppose  i  go  to  the  library  for  now.  but  i  can  take  it  from  here,  i  know  where  to  go.  you're  dismissed.  '  she  waves  aeri  off  with  her  hand,  turning  the  other  way,  as  a  nagging  feeling  gnawed  at  her  chest.

meanwhile,  after  a  few  hours  of  being  stuck  in  the  aquatics  center,  hyunki  races  to  make  his  way  to  the  pc  bang  -  their  usual  meet-up  place.  after  a  grueling  training  session,  all  he  wanted  to  do  was  spend  time  with  aeri  and  not  think  about  anything  else.  greeting  the  worker  (  that  was  not  aeri  )  by  the  counter,  he  opts  to  wait  for  now,  renting  out  one  of  the  pc's  in  the  meantime  and  busying  himself  with  a  random  game,  anxiously  anticipating  her  arrival.

༊⋆｡˚                       tried her damned hardest not to take it to heart but —- she wanted to slap that bratty look off of her face in one fell swoop . had to keep calm though , the firecracker within her needed to simmer . taking a deep breath as she collected herself , she went to head towards the library area where she needed to show her a few things but her words made aeri’s blood run cold . surely she didn’t know .. right !? the femme had to do everything in her power to play it off —- not give her any inkling of suspicions .

❛ oh , this ? ❜ she gazed down at it , actress mode ; activated . ❛ my mother bought it for me as a birthday present . i have a matching necklace so she thought it would go well ! ❜ had to keep upbeat , no room for any form of rumours to alight within her mind . part of her wanted to just take it off —- feeling her piercing gaze burning the metal into her skin but that would cause even more distrust . had caught onto the accusatory tone , though . inklings that she may have seen it s o m e w h e r e before now . quickly changing the subject , she pointed to the building over the way , ❛ the library is pretty big . did you wanna check it out ? ❜

his old self would have been quite oblivious to any hints but things were different now–- he was different. a changed man. at the back of his head lingered thoughts related to the conversation he overheard between aeri and their new friend at the midsummer festival earlier this year. the subtle hints were also something he noticed but never audibly noted for he had his own stance about marriage. maybe he had a more realistic and pessimistic outlook on that due to how his parents ( and many more ) ended up. it wasn’t like he didn’t have eternity at his disposal now, so why would he cage himself? if he was to be selfish, it would have taken way, way too long to take a step so important. but then there was she … she just–- had this effect on him that nobody else ever had ( or would have for that matter, he’s sure of that ). something about the idea of seeing her in a white dress with a pretty bouquet in hands has been stuck in his head. watching her dance with ylva, with flowers tucked in her braided hair plus the cute flower crown … the little white dress she had on to blend in with the other girls. but she was never able to blend in. she was the prettiest among them all, with her radiant smile and her contagious laughter! something deep within him m o v e d, as if with ease the switch was flipped. since then, so many thoughts went in and out of his head, so many good timings were missed but maybe he has done that purposely for he knew a better time for such a special moment. the sun was setting behind the tall mountains, earlier than it used to, reminding of the upcoming cold months. standing by the window, he waited while looking at the small box in his hand. opening it, inside was a pretty silver ring with a few stones on it. they reflected the flickering fairy lights above his head, making him smile to himself. he was ready and he knew the answer. closing the lid and tucking the box into the pocket on his jeans, heedo sighed softly when he noticed the familiar figure of his girlfriend approaching the building. remaining by the window for a while, he moved towards the door only when she twisted the key to unlock it. the smile on his face only grew bigger and he threw his arms in the air as soon as she was in his line of sight. “ baby! ” a few strides and he was by her side, already pulling her into his arms. “ i missed you. i missed the birthday girl so much! happy birthday, angel! ” he cooed, releasing her from his suffocating hug only to then start peppering kisses all over her cute face. after their small greeting, he let her go freshen up first. he didn’t lie when he said he prepared them dinner and bought her a cake ( which was absolutely the cutest ) but she had no idea about the actual surprise. nobody knew and it wasn’t the easiest thing because everybody and their mom would know it wasn’t a virtue of his to keep secrets like that. he managed though! when aeri reemerged, all fresh and comfortable, he knew it was the right time. standing in front of her, he looked down for a moment only to see the questioning look in her eyes. adorable. falling on one knee, he fished the little velvety box from his pocket. “ i know i’ve told you how marriage for me is not important and equals a cage. my view was totally different from yours due to our upbringings i suppose but someone special came by and showed me i was wrong. i’m thankful that you respected me and never once tried to push that on me just because you wanted it. it’s very selfless and … honestly, that’s so you. i’ve known you long enough to know that. it’s my turn to respect you and your wishes, to make you happy. it’s my one and only wish. ” making a small pause, he opened the little box, revealing the engagement ring in it. “ hân minh bè, will you marry me? ”

       single  strand  of  day  light  was  shining  in  between  the  gap  of  the  curtains,  of  course  directly  at  the  face  of  where  he  was  sleeping.  the  b a n g i n g   headache  making  him  want  to  remain  eyes  in  a  glued  format,  knowing  that  the  two  of  them,  had  once  again,  been  pouring  intoxication  of  alcohol  into  their  heads,  causing  him  to  end  up  in  bed  the  next  day  with  a  headache  and  the  urge  to  order  take-out.

       one  difference,  however,  was  the  sudden  movement  beside  of  him,  causing  several  question  marks  to  alarm  in  his  mind.  slowly  he  peeked  a  singular  eye  open,  seeing  the  drowsy  state  of  his  aerbear.  the  sight  alone  made  him  open  both  eyes,  careful  in  turning  over  to  have  his  entire  body  facing  her  sleeping  frame.

       it  was  odd.  having  these  kind  of  thoughts  and  suddenly  intuitions,  wanting  to  be  very  affectionate  toward  the  femme.  after  all,  their  friendship  had  been  based  on  a  lot  of  mischief,  ever  since  their  training  days  with  meiling  as  well.  however,  one  kiss  had  been  enough  to  completely  turn  his  mind  around  and  the  perspective  he  had  on  the  woman.  it  confused  him  so  entirely  much.

       timidly  he  reaches  out,  allowing  digits  to  push  into  lightly  into  the  dark  strands  of  her  hair,  smiling  subtly  at  her  mouth  almost  chomping  a  few  times.  a  soft  voice  whispered  out,  without  himself  really  noticing.   "  why  are  you  making  me  like  this,  aerbear  ...  "   own  head  rested  back  down  against  his  pillow,  as  digits  remain  caressing  through  her  hairs  and  he  found  his  eyes  slowly  closing  in  again;  falling  back  asleep.
