oh dont get me wrong at all! the scarlotte profile picture means nothing i am a q84 freak first and foremost i love this stupid little white girl. i cosplayed her in public, once! but that matters not

i super super see the idea that it's a reflection of the front, i think it's also worth noting that the cleaner image is sourced from the twitter takeover! and was quickly followed up by her making whatever you call this expression

while im not sure how on-purpose recent q art kind of rounding her out is on etherane's part (we can never for sure know unless they tell us haha) the idea that it is is especially fun to me. though some of it is definitely art style growth, the rounded out jaw adds alot to this i think, while etherane used to draw faces a small bit more angular.

i very much prefer the messier more disheveled (for lack of a better term) look for her but like, i also super get that q and the charlottes in general have a too-pretty quality to them that's probably on purpose. seeing as charlotte wiltshire was designed by charles to be as perfect as possible. so they have an inherent surface level appearance of being very pristine to me.

in fact i think that surface level perfection is part of why it's so fun to me that q deviates in the hc3 sprites! because she does look very sleep deprived and fucked up and frankly like she's not super present and is somehow still managing to explode you with her mind. it's great. delirium charlotte does this too ily delchar

the actual visual motifs that come to mind when i think of q are scribbly lines and messy shading and like, obnoxiously washed out colors. so it's really fun seeing in like, fanart especially, people completely full send the performance she takes on. like oh the disheveled little freakgirl? no she is very cute. and would not murder anyone. wdym. shes innocent let her go those people died of natural causes. its fun seeing how people interpret the pure white persona

hello charlotte is one of those games where i think if it were more polished it would stop feeling right. like i look at recent art of q84 and she just does not have the same energy. i love both iterations of her but theres a certain scrungly quality that does not super persist in etherane's more recent work unless theyre like specifically trying to evoke it. like
