Chelsea is only the beginning – Infinite Athlete™

There was a lot of noise when Infinite Athlete™ was first linked with becoming the front-of-shirt sponsor for Chelsea FC.

I’ve known Todd Boehly for many years, and he has always been eager to support technology advancements across sports so it was only natural when we became a long-term tech partner for Chelsea FC.

Todd was impressed by what we have been doing with the NFL and some of our other partners and wanted to explore ways we could collaborate.

The sponsorship was just a natural progression and way for us to propel our new brand – after Tempus Ex Machina acquired Biocore and merged, to the world. 

We were excited to be working with one of the most successful Premier League teams over the past 20 years and their global profile is a perfect platform to showcase our technology to the wider football family.

Our partnership has included revitilizing the club’s Official app, digital and mobile fan engagement, in-stadium fan enhancements, and sponsor activations, as well as coaching, training, player health and safety, and match preparation. We are honoured that Chelsea have recognised the value our technology provides.

Chelsea’s Women’s team is the most successful in England over recent years, so we’ve been working with them, using data, for instance, to find ways of reducing the serious injuries elite women footballers have been experiencing far too often over the past few seasons.

Under the Infinite Athlete brand, we believe we can help to enhance, and even transform sports by synchronising data – on player tracking or fan sentiment, for instance – captured by otherwise disconnected platforms, allowing leagues, teams and developers to glean new insights and develop new products.

There are several apps being built now with our various partners that are iterations on our wildly successful MVX product that we launched with Chelsea last summer.

MVX, which is available inside the Chelsea app, is an AI platform on top of the broadcast which breaks down every single event in the game. You can click on the event, see the highlight, every piece of data that is being generated, the fastest player and more.

On the other side, what could ultimately be one of the most interesting parts of this  partnership will be how fans can build what they want very easily on top of the platform.

Instead of dictating to them what we think they want, we give them the ability to actually build what they want which is really the thing that makes us different to everyone else in the space.

Our process is largely focused on reaching the largest audience of the most passionate fans, because we believe that will attract the best developers. The NFL, Chelsea, Colorado and others are just a few of our blue-chip brand partners with the best fans in the world.

We see ourselves as the operating system for sports, creating a single technological foundation, upon which innovative sports technology and media products can be built.

Britney Spears & Charlie Ebersol

I feel like the Thunderbolts have a massive cult following SPECIFICALLY (and only) in Burton Canyon.

You know how Tbolts merch used to be everywhere? People probably threw it out after they turned out to be frauds, except as it turns out that stuff is still appreciated in Burton Canyon, and people will think you're cool for wearing it. Kinda like how people joke that Mexicans will be nice to you if they see you wear a Goku shirt.

Maybe they've got a museum (a small one, maybe it's like three rooms at most) where they keep memorabilia that has zero value outside of town. Like, there's a picture of that one time Charcoal stopped a rock slide, or here's a piece of Mach-2's armour that fell off during a battle or something. It's all junk, but people show it to their kids with pride in their voices.

They can't access Thunderbolts Mountain after SHIELD closed it off, but maybe they've got a little monument at the borrom, maybe just a sign that says "This here used to be the base of the Thunderbolts, heroes of Burton Canyon" and if they catch you littering they'll throw sticks at you.

And I know that in the actual comics they don't really interact with the city all that much, like they live there for a while and in some very brief scenes it's showed that they made some friends but we don't really get a single hero/civilian friendship that is fleshed out beyond a pretty superficial level. And you could argue most of the trouble that happened in Burton Canyon at all was their own fault to begin with-

I just like the idea that the Thunderbolts left some good behind them, since as of right now, their only legacy is...do they have one...? Half the team is back to being villains, Jolt is God knows where Ghost put her, Mach and Charcoal are just dead with nobody to actually mourn them (I mean Charlie got thanosed out the story for copyright reasons and I don't even know if they're ALLOWED to mention him- as for Abe I guess Melissa's sad for a page but she hasn't been in anything since - for 7 ACTUAL YEARS - so it's not like his death really did anything).

The only legacy the original Thunderbolts can even claim to have is Songbird who, in case you haven't heard yet, is actually gonna be in a Thunderbolts comic next February. You hear that? The character who is FACTUALLY THE PROTAGONIST OF THIS SERIES is appearing in said series after 7 years of radio silence. ✨️Legacy, people, legacy✨️.

I accidentally just rehashed the one point I already made a whole rant post about, cheers.

So, to summarise: I WANT TO BELIEVE THERE IS SOMEONE IN THIS AWFUL EVIL WORLD THAT REMEMBERS THE ORIGINAL THUNDERBOLTS FONDLY.

Regarding her “dating”.

Girl is the QUEEN of keeping relationships on the down low.

Bet you didn’t know that she dated Mark Foster for close to a year while filming Partners. She would follow him all around the world during their breaks from the show. Her and her friend Shanti would visit him on tour.

she’s stealth when it comes to not wanting her love life found out unless it’s on her terms.

I’m sorry to disappoint you but I sure did! 🤣 I remember she was spotted all over the place with him and his band and fans were freaking out she would just show up at his shows but most didn’t make the link it was because they were dating. 🤣 they were hanging out with Aaron and Lauren Paul a lot too; they are couple pics of them floating around the Internet.

(I know about Charlie Ebersol, Samuel Cooper, Dave Altarescu, Roberto Grande, Justin Weniger, she’s good at hiding but we usually find out either through her or her friends whether they do it on purpose or not…if you have any other names, please feel free to share!)

Sophia is overall pretty good at keeping her relationships on the down low…unless you have eyes and spies everywhere. 👀😅 kidding aside, it’s hard to keep up with her dating life, sometimes we find out there is someone in her life and turns out he’s been there for months. Good for her though for keeping it to herself and choosing to share what she wants to share and not advertising it like some celebs who do it 5 mins into a relationship.

From what I can tell, the great race between the XFL and the Alliance of American Football went something like this:

Charlie Ebersol thinks it would be a good idea to bring back the XFL, which failed spectacularly in 2001.

Charlie Ebersol makes an XFL documentary to generate interest in a revival.

Charlie Ebersol develops a three-year business plan where the XFL launches in 2020 and eventually becomes a farm league for the NFL (although there is no indication the NFL particularly wants one).

Charlie Ebersol tries to buy the XFL IP from WWE for $50 million, but Vince McMahon decides if it’s worth that much, he should revive the XFL himself.

Charlie Ebersol responds to the XFL announcement by accelerating the AAF launch to 2019, to get a head start on the XFL.

Charlie Ebersol doesn’t have the resources to launch a year early, and he runs out of money by December 2018.

Charlie Ebersol proposes an AAF-XFL merger, but Vince is like “lol no”

Charlie Ebersol has to get a bailout from Tom Dundon during week 2 of the AAF’s first season, effectively making Dundon the new owner.

Charlie Ebersol is blindsided when Dundon unilaterally shuts down the AAF after week 8.

From which we can draw two conclusions:

Betting on Charlie Ebersol’s business acumen is a bad idea.

The only reason Vince McMahon is relaunching the XFL is because Charlie Ebersol convinced him it was worth something.
