Wednesday flashback to 1989 and a page from my soda glaze wood firing kiln diary. We did this as a summer hols project from Kitson College of Technology (otherwise known as Leeds College of Art) under David Graham and Charles Bound at the aptly named Pottery Department. Sadly the building was demolished years ago. This is a snap of the kiln packed with pots made in my basement on an ancient electric potters wheel. We fired the kiln up in Leeds in a friends back garden. Yes, a back garden wood fired soda kiln.
