Louis James Moriarty:

His s/o probably left their gloves or something at his place and he say it one day and kept them to be more close to them yk.

Idk why that's the only thing I said in 3rd person but oh well.

Like he doesn't know if he should give them back or like tell you, but if you say that you can't find those gloves or something similar then he would awkwardly say he found them and he ment to give them back but it completely slipped his mind.

But yeah like he wouldn't do it on purpose just on accident kinda.

Albert James Moriarty:

This little rascal would probably take your underwear and tease you about it.

For example, the two of you were having a quicky somewhere outside of the house and when you were getting dressed he would steal your underwear either to tease you or as 'punishment' for something you did earlier.

He would later either forget about it or would keep it for good measure.

If you tried to take it back then there would be more ✨️teasing✨️.

I'm using that word too much.

Sherlock Holmes:

Maybe he keeps a pair of their s/o's underwear just to tease them but other than that I don't really see him keep anything of their's really yk.

Or like you left something in his apartment so to speak, and it stayed there forever ot until he moves out which is unlikely tbh.

John H. Watson:

He's not the type to collect or keep anything of his s/o's, if they leave something then he will tell them and give it to them.

Therefore I'm gonna say random stuff to fool you into thinking I actually put some thought behind this >:)

I'm listening to the phantom of opera rn cuz it's an amazing film, my favourite ones are the 2004 and 1989 I think Christine was great in that movie, I think Christine is great in both the movies tbh.

I also watched the 1925 one, it was a silent film which I definitely finished, but they did Erik so dirty in that one, like he had no mask, and in the 1989 version Erik literally killed someone with his face 💀 I wish I was joking I love that movie so much. But if you want to listen to some great music then I recommend the 2004 one but if you rather see rats and a random rat man then the 1989 one, it's amazing.

What’s your favourite AU that you’ve written?

My best AUs are for Philinda lol. My favourite is Committed to the Cause, a POTUS/USSS one with Coulson as the president and May as his head of security.

If you write chaptered fics, what’s your ideal chapter length to write? Is it different from your ideal chapter length to read?

My ideal chapter length to write is 4–7k, which is also about my ideal chapter length to read. Maybe my reading ideal is on the shorter end, so more like 3–5k, but gfhjsgdhs that’s not too big a difference.

Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.”

There are a few that come to mind. The main ones are literally anything by @indilwenofmirkwood (but especially What Makes Her Tick, which can be read here on AO3 and here on FFN) and Kismet by @midnightlovestories (can be read here on AO3) for how they developed plot/romance, analysed my comfort character, and got some whumpy goodness snuck in there. The former is for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. while the latter is for The Addams Family.

Feel for You by @parksanddownton603 (can be read here on AO3) made me fall in love with a specific tone of AU and gave me the motivation to try my hand at writing an AU like they did (also for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). On the flipside, Defensive Wounds by @rebecca-in-blue (can be read here on FFN) is an in-universe fic but I greatly admire the characterisation in it and would love to know and honour my blorbos as well as they do. It’s for NCIS.

Another one for the Addamses, Human by @unhappychildhavingfun (can be read here on AO3) packs the kind of emotional, meaningful punch that I want my writing to throw. Though I also aspire to churn out numerous one-shots that just put my guys in situations the way @suallenparker does (if I must name particulars, the ones that affect me the most in this way have been Bulletproof, Lifeline, Safe and Sound, Liar, Mayism, Second Chances, and Being Someone Else, all for Philinda hfjsgdhhd).

And can’t play dead by @widespindriftgaze (can be read here on AO3) is…simply some of the best creative writing I’ve ever read. I love how they dabble in various, sometimes small/short-lived fandoms; I long to do that.

I am currently working (well, focusing) on A Galling Yoke, my Sherlock Holmes x Reader exes-/friends-to-lovers casefic. (It was actually supposed to be enemies-to-lovers lolol.) I’m like a third or so into Part 12, and I’ve got like seventeen chapters planned total plus an epilogue. Exciting stuff!!

You straightened in your seat, shoulders tensing. Sherlock groaned and dragged a hand down his face.

I grabbed that out of the middle of a conversation for Maximum Suspense. I cut out […] because what I have written there currently is a bit of a placeholder. Relationship Headcanons with Charles Milverton

A/N: Hello!! No problem, I love writing for these boys! Thank you so much 🥺💘 That he is, but I can try! I tried to do him justice but I just cannot with this man :')

The first time you two met, you hated Milverton with a passion.

Just the mere mention of his name makes your skin crawl and blood boil.

And you have no problem showing it to him.

When he’s around, your face shows pure disgust and annoyance. Which he found surprisingly amusing.

You were usually pretty kind and approachable, but as long as he’s around, you’re repulsed.

Because of his interest, he started spending more time with you.

You wanted to curse every God that existed ever since then.

He made his subordinates find information about you, wanting to know each and every detail about you.

One thing led to another, and you started working for him.

You found out he blackmailed your boss.

You tried to find a job somewhere else, but no one would accept you because of Milverton.

Since you had no choice, you agreed to work for him.

Even though you worked for him, you’re not going down with a fight.

Every time you met, you had the fakest smile and were clearly trying to hurt him each and every day.

Milverton wasn’t fazed; he actually found them fun. Especially when he gets to see your irritated face each day.

HOWEVER!

If someone else tried to mess with you, he’s not having any of it.

If some drunkard tried to harass you, Milverton whacked him with his cane no problem.

When you asked why he did that, he said nothing.

Only he can mess around with you.

He didn’t know why, but he didn’t want to see you go through anything nasty… Unless it’s because of him.

Your annoyed and angered expressions are only valid if it’s because of him.

The more time you spend with him, the more… tolerable he is.

If it’s your birthday or a special occasion, he gives you a day off or some free time.

He became a little kinder to you, especially when you’re not in the mood for his usual antics.

He usually leaves you alone or leaves you some of your favorite food and drink.

When he sees you slowly coming back, he dips his toes in the water slightly, checking if you’re finally okay.

You were appreciative during those moments.

Not like you ever admit it.

But when Milverton asked you out, he was very genuine and vulnerable. It almost sent you to a shock.

When you agreed to go out with him, he went back to his old self and teased you.

That led to another argument, but it was clear that you two were happy.

It was during your wedding when the Whiteleys became huge on the news.

You pleaded not to do anything horrible during your big day, and he actually gave in.

He’ll never admit it, but he has a soft spot for you.

And he wants this day to be perfect for both of you.

You can never fully change this man, unfortunately.

But you have tamed him, which surprised a lot of people.

Don’t be surprised if two mysterious gentlemen left you a gift saying thank you for some reason at your wedding.

The Six Thatchers: La teoria dell’alibi

Dato che il fandom sta viaggiando ad una velocità pazzesca con le teorie e non tutti riescono a stare dietro a tutte le meta, ho pensato di raccogliere qui sia la teoria dell’alibi originale che le conclusioni a cui si è arrivati, e anche alcune teorie che supportano questa teoria. (E poi mi piace proprio tanto questa teoria, quindi ne dovevo scrivere.)

Concordiamo tutti che The Six Thatchers è strana, e la domanda è sorta spontanea: ma gli eventi che abbiamo visto sono successi davvero? 

Premesse

Nella stessa puntata noi abbiamo l’MI6 che ha modificato il video che provava che Sherlock ha ucciso a Magnussen in modo tale da scagionare Sherlock, e riguardo al racconto a cui His Last Vow si ispira, i Mofftiss hanno detto che secondo loro, gli eventi raccontati ne L’avventura di Charles Augustus Milverton non sono andati come Watson li ha descritti: nel racconto Watson e Holmes assistono all’omicidio di Milverton per mano di una donna di cui però non si parla. E se Watson e Holmes conoscessero quella donna (come hanno poi cambiato i Mofftiss)? E se fosse stato in realtà Holmes ad uccidere Milverton e Watson, per proteggerlo e coprirgli le spalle, avesse inserito una donna a caso e reso così Holmes innocente? I Mofftiss credono che i due amici siano capaci di coprirsi le spalle su questo soggetto. 

Mentre stavamo sclerando sulla puntata, è uscita una foto, e a questo punto linko direttamente l’inizio della discussione riguardo l’alibi: The game is on/over 

Teoria principale

Il pensiero semplice e nudo quindi è: Sherlock sta raccontando gli eventi di TST in modo tale da creare un alibi per John che in realtà ha ucciso Mary, proprio come l’MI6 ha modificato il video per creare l’alibi per Sherlock.

Non è la prima volta che questo succede all’interno della serie: oltre al video modificato, in questa puntata abbiamo quest’informazione:

in A Study in Pink Sherlock afferma di esser riuscito a far arrestare Angelo con un crimine minore rispetto a quello di cui la polizia lo aveva accusato ( parallelo tra ASiP e TST ) , e spostandosi sul Canone, spesso si è pensato a John Watson come ad un narratore inaffidabile, in quanto non dice sempre come sono andati davvero fatti, e ammette lui stesso di omettere dei dettagli ai lettori. E si parla di modificare gli eventi o scegliere cosa raccontare o meno anche quando Watson ci introduce il caso dell’abominevole sposa.

Some are still too sensitive to recount … whilst others are too recent in the minds of the public. But in all our many adventures together, no case pushed my friend to such mental and physical extremes as that of The Abominable Bride.

Quindi non dovrebbe suonarci nuova la narrazione inaffidabile, eventi modificati, realtà modificate. In questa specifica puntata, possiamo credere che Sherlock stia raccontando gli eventi ad Ella, un po’ come The Reichenbach Fall, ma li stia modificando per, appunto, creare un alibi per John: John non è mai presente nelle scene in cui tutto va a farsi a benedire, per esempio arriva all’acquario solo dopo che Mary è stata colpita. 

Se fosse vera, cosa cambia? Cosa ne consegue?

Se fosse davvero così, si spiegherebbero un’infinità di cose che vediamo nella puntata, come per esempio la velocità a cui procede la puntata o alcuni comportamenti non proprio IC dei personaggi oppure la scena della morte di Mary, che è hollywoodiana al cento per cento (Sherlock non può proprio resistere al tocco di drammatictà). Questo non significa però che gli eventi raccontati nella puntata siano falsi: si tratta del resoconto di Sherlock dal suo punto di vista, quindi alcuni dettagli sono stati cambiati, altri mantenuti. Mary è morta in quell’acquario, tutta la storia di A.G.R.A potrebbe essere vera, cambia solo che in realtà è stato John ad uccidere Mary. E l’allontanamento può avvenire per due motivi: per mantenere l’alibi, John e Sherlock non devono farsi vedere perché John teoricamente dovrebbe essere arrabbiato con Sherlock per la morte di Mary, e perché se ha dovuto uccidere sua moglie perché Mary stava minacciando Sherlock (???), perché Sherlock si è messo nei guai senza aspettarlo (???), beh… non è proprio una cosa che fai tutti i giorni, ammazzare tua moglie per salvare il tuo migliore amico. 

Su questo soggetto consiglio due meta a proposito di come Vivian e John siano molto simili e la meta che confronta le varie ferite da proiettile che vediamo nella serie tv. 

E i testimoni? C’erano Lestrade, Mycroft e altri agenti di polizia lì presenti, com’è possibile che la verità non sia uscita fuori da quella stanza?

Teorie nate in seguito all’Alibi theory

TST is so godamn blue: a meta che si può riassumere con: dove c’è il blu, gli eventi sono andati in modo diverso da come ci vengono mostrati.

Più il teschio del quadro si illumina, più gli eventi sono modificati: Projection , l’idea di @quietlyprim (e il reblog che mostra che non è esattamente una novità)

Conclusioni

Se le cose fossero andate davvero così, si spiegherebbe perché il titolo The Lying Detective, sia Sherlock che Lestrade infatti in questo scenario hanno mentito e nella puntata si potrebbe rivedere come sono andate le cose davvero in TST. La storia proseguirebbe, al contrario dell’EMP Theory che quasi richiede che la storia ricominci dall’ospedale di HLV, il che causerebbe la perdita di divertimento (e inoltre il ricominciare la storia dicendo che era tutto un sogno è un espediente utilizzato quando il prodotto sta fallendo, e BBC Sherlock non sta precipitando). 

Spero di esser riuscita a farvi amare questa teoria che mi ha conquistata appena l’ho letta ieri sera, se avete considerazioni da fare, scrivete pure, e spero di aver chiarito le idee a chi era confuso da questa teoria.
