feel free to tell me in dms but a big reason i've been a bit anxious about this movie is how best boy knuckles is portrayed. is he any good?

I think it's safe to say that Knux has been portrayed just right. He's silly and engaging and eager to jump into action, but he'll step up and be the mature one when the moment calls for it.

I was very, very happy with how they portrayed Knuckles.

Been having fun with @charleecat-bat talking about the gem au Gadget as a Carnelian, a really strong type of quartz that was made for construction work and carrying around very heavy stuff. Well, the Diamonds had severe tunnel vision that day as they didn’t consider what could happen if one started rebelling… (His gem is on his shoulder that’s why it’s not visible in this picture)

Bark is a total art softie we KNOW this guy writes poems and likes reading for fun but like, the dark academia stuff

Storm, while getting little-to-no depth in the riders games, definitely has his own intelligent areas. being a great personal trainer, nutritionist, and body positive guy who cares about the health of his team is DEFINITELY reasonable. funnily enough, he'd be the only rogue I trust in a kitchen

I also feel like Storm would love reality tv (like TLC shows) and be a total music geek (orchestral score studying and string quartet composing loser lmao)

so basically, they're both large strong intimidating guys with obnoxious green birds as their frontman and purple bitches who constantly start shit (who i love btw)

anyways, i ACCEPT the joke made that bean and jet are cousins as canon because it's a really funny throwaway from the comics, and consider the idea that bean and jet (the latter typically hating the former) decide to hook storm and bark up because i mean, they're helpless on their own

GYM BRO TIME!!! storm is constantly pushed to go talk to bark who, depending on how you interpret things, is either selectively or completely mute

this uh, obviously makes storm panic and ramble more, and every time this happens he thinks bark is getting more and more annoyed with him

bark can either say this or communicate it depending on how you interpret his quiet nature but they DO eventually start hanging out and NO bark isn't annoyed!!! he's actively listening and invested in whatever storm is rambling about and actually kinda forgets to pay attention to anything else

not to mention... storm can never be more annoying than bean, and bark LOVES bean so he's immune to storm's anxieties in a positive way

the two shift from strong boys on the outside to absolutely pathetic artistic losers and spend all their time writing or composing or reading or watching films and analyzing them or painting and honestly it's adorable

the two eventually go their separate ways but not in bad taste or an official breakup really, it's just difficult and also different because both of their teams are constantly on the move all the time so it's not fair to mess that up and if they meet anyone else that's fine too (i don't wanna label it as an open relationship because they're super qpr but otherwise undefined)

we just KNOW that storm is gonna call bark every time a new 90 day fiance or eric whitacre virtual choir comes out though, they geek out on calls all the time still

TLDR: your honour they're fuckin adorable

Three ships: I too don't really ship and 98% of the time i want to 'nope' out cuz i don't click with shipping in general. (The more I like a character the less I enjoy shipping for them). I have had some 'aw that's cute' moments but some very specific circumstances have to be met for that to happen. (It's not the main focus, it's nothing deeper than a wholesome moment, they're introduced to me as a couple...)

it's not really shipping, but i feel relief when characters who are commonly shipped with my favs are in a relationship with someone else cuz then my fav can be single😅

First ship: When I was a kid I had some stuff that I thought was shipping but now i know I just liked the characters being affectionate and wholesome and had no interest in the romantic stuff

Last song: "Irish lullaby" (a.k.a Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo-Ral) specifically the cover by Lady Prudence

Last movie: The FNAF movie! I am still so amazed at the energy of everyone in the theatre when i watched it

Currently reading: Whatever cool knux stuff comes from the server for one and i've got a couple of books sitting around that i want to read/reread but haven't started yet, (House of leaves, Max brooks -Zombie survival guide, Fazbear fright step closer) but i've actually been going back to some of my favourite bbc merlin 'Immortal Leon' fics (A head canon that i will not let go of)

Currently watching: There's no show I'm actively watching right now, I'm just putting on long form video essay type things to have in the background while i work on stuff.

Currently consuming: ...the plastic top from a sushi soy sauce. ...which I should not be chewing. ...I'm gonna go get some gum or my eucalyptus lollies to stop me from doing that.

Currently craving: hmm. I don't know actually. I am hungry, but i don't know what I want.
