Tarragon Rowan Weasley-Moss

Tarragon 'Tarra' Weasley-Moss is the daughter of the infamous curse-breaker Juniper Moss and dragonologist Charlie Weasley. Tarra had a very unconventional upbringing being raised in Romania next to the Dragon sanctuary she was taught at an early age about dangerous beasts and was taken on curse-breaking adventures with her parents if they had no babysitter. Her parents did choose for her to go to Hogwarts instead of Durmstrang because Tarra would have family there. She experienced a lot of the world at a young age but due to not being able to make many friends, she befriended the magical creatures instead as her companions. With legilimency abilities, she could use to empathise with the animals, especially when they were hurt motivating her to become a magizologist specialising in creature healing. Tarra also wants to look for alternative resources for potions instead of using magical creatures or at least collect the materials when they die of natural causes and became a vegan so she could help out animals further.

RELATIONSHIPS

Family:

Charles 'Charlie' Weasley (father) - Tarragon is an absolute daddy's girl. Tarra spent a lot more time with Charlie than Juniper due to her work. It often ended with Tarra at the dragon sanctuary but everyone loved her and looked out for her. They both can admire, study, and chat about magical creatures for hours on end. Their favourite thing to do is play quidditch and explore the Carpathians mountains nearby in Romania. Charlie taught Tarra everything she needs to know about dragons.

Juniper Moss (mother) - Even though they love each other dearly, they do struggle to understand each other. Juniper wants Tarra to have some fun and let loose, basically be a normal teen. Tarra always wondered why her mother always needed to run off and always go on dangerous missions even as a little girl. It caused her to be scared of being alone in the dark even though she had her dad at home.

Jacob Moss (uncle) - Tarragon always loved meeting her uncle and usually always gets gifted with little bits of trinkets. She enjoys spending time with him although he has the Moss gene of getting himself involve with danger which she tries to get him to avoid.

Duncan Ludwig (maternal cousin) - Even though Tarra has a lot of cousins on her father's side, she still felt though a bit lonely in Romania. When she found out that she had another cousin, Tarra was eager to meet Duncan and immediately viewed him as an older brother. She spent a lot of time with him before going to Hogwarts.

Victoire Weasley (paternal cousin) - Growing up they were tight as they were closest in age however when they both started Hogwarts being sorted into different Houses they started to drift and have their social circles only really interacting at family gatherings.

Albus Potter (paternal cousin) - Albus is Tarra's favourite cousin on her father's side. They have a mutual understanding what it feels like to be in their parent's shadows and also having the feeling that they don't fit in with their family.

Friends:

Zola Albatross - Due to Tarragon's shyness, she found it quite difficult to make friends but due to Zola approaching her first, they became friends quickly. She does disapprove of Zola causing trouble but knows that it comes from a place of hurt. The girls enjoy a shared love for quidditch and sneaking off to the forbidden forest to find rare magical creatures (for Zola it's more for a curse-breaking adventure).

Saffron Summers @the-al-chemist - Tarragon looks up to Saffron as a role model and intrigued by the older Hufflepuff's alternative lifestyle. Particularly of veganism, which Tarragon fully agreed and even changed her lifestyle to become a vegan with Saffron's help.

Patrick Hopper-Lee @thatravenpuffwitch - Pat and Tarra became friends quickly and hung out a lot together due to being in the same house but was also the few people that could listen to Pat's fangirling over dragons.

Rylie Hopper-Lee @thatravenpuffwitch - Both are part of the quidditch team and in the same house. Tarra looks up to Rylie for guidance.

Ryan Oakley @hogwartsmysteryho - Tarra understands what it's like to have a ability that can be both a blessing and a curse but she does appreciate the honesty from Ryan.

Love interests:

Dylan Amari @lifeofkaze - Tarragon fell hard for the outdoor, nature loving Dylan thinking he's the one. She was so happy when he asked her out during her 3rd/his 4th year only to realise a month later that things aren't working out and broke up.

Tarragon is open for a romantic relationships but will take her time first.

Pets: Despite being an animal lover, Tarra only has a barn owl, Tori to write to her parents and managed to sneak in her niffler, Codrin.

Rivals:

Reva Amari @lifeofkaze - The two girls became rivals through Zola. Tarragon has nothing personal against her but due to bestie code, she will stay on Zola's side. But that when Reva leaked her crush for Dylan to pretty much everyone.

Rory McTavish @the-al-chemist - Although the two don't have much interaction, Tarra did lecture him once when he unintentionally broke Zola's heart. Tarra really doesn't have it in her heart to yell or be properly angry but this was the closet to ever seeing her angry.

Okay, so Tarragon’s design has changed, mainly her hair cause I wasn’t really vibing with it and also to match her face claim better. I prefer the blue wild hair lol. 

Well I already covered a lot about Tarragon in my last post and in the full profile for her. But here’s some tid bits of information.

Out of the others ocs, she had the least eventful life in terms of drastic family changes or something. She is super close with both sides of the family and every Summer and Winter, she alternates between the Weasleys and her Uncle Jacob and cousin Duncan in England and visiting her grandmother in France. 

The reason why Tarra knows so many languages is because her mother, Juniper taught her French and some Arabic. English is spoken at home and she picked up Romanian from her dad, Romanian staff at the dragon sanctuary and surroundings from living in Romania. Duncan taught her some German but he kinda neglected to teach her more later on so. 

Also, Tarragon’s animagus form as a horse actually can hold people but she’s very picky about who is allowed to ride on her back but very handy if need to run away quickly.

Gurl, could you tell us more about Juniper's kid?? 👀 Got me curious

I was hoping someone would ask. Okay so Charlie and Juniper have one kid, their daughter Tarragon Rowan Wealsey-Moss. 

Tarragon (aka Tarra) was a complete accident because they decided not to have any children. This was more on Juniper's part rather than Charlie. They didn't have any more children after Tarra because Juniper had a difficult pregnancy due to her cursed ice injury (I am referring to when Juniper was captured by death eaters. All you need to know for now is that left a lot of health complications for Juniper). 

They raised Tarragon in Romania near the dragon sanctuary (They have no sense of child safety lol but jk too) but chose to send Tarra to Hogwarts rather than Durmstrang. 

Tarra has her mother's looks but her dad's personality. She has inherited his love for magical creatures, in this case every single one. Also his calm nature and Tarragon is probably more mature than her parents. Naturally, she is a Hufflepuff and is more reserved in nature too. Tarra is super close with her cousin Victoire as they are a year or so apart (she’s the second oldest of all the new Weasley generation) and with her other cousin from her mother’s side.
