ai the somnium files is interesting to me because I enjoy both games quite a bit but are they very good? lmao. lol. no
#this is harsh they have good things in them but also pacing issues and weird character writing and gah#I liked nirvana initiative more than 1 bc in 1 I found half the cast unbearable and several routes full of plot and character contrivances#to get the plot to where it needed to go. date getting fooled by ota TWICE in two different timelines is so infuriating#but I was kinda eh on the twist in NI. I really liked it at first but it then slowly hit me how much of a disservice it does to mizuki and#date's characters. it is very well written as a mystery twist and holds up surprisingly well logic wise but sighs#ryuki and tama and mizuki you deserve to be in a better series im sorry#siren says#like it has some genuinely soul wrenching good shit and character writing just as often as it drags out unfunny jokes and annoying#characters so like. very mixed feelings on them. but ngl I dont think id recommend them to anyone looking for murder mystery visual novels
