you may be wondering oh shit which new appearance will he slot in and OK I DON'T KNOW YET ACTUALLY.
obvious choice if you know me would be War Magus but I actually don't want to use that one here bc they're 100% a member of my EO2U guild now.
I like the new medic but The Empyreans already have a Funny Little Medic (and an eventual older tired medic, Oz) so the new medic would simply be eaten by the two existing Empyrean medics in a cruel show of power.
In terms of balance, the Empyreans ARE lacking in ranged attacks that aren't magic... but the new Zodiac looks cooool ough.
Otherwise, I also like the gunner, survivalist, & buccaneer and I can see personalities that would mesh with the Empyreans well, too... Monk could also...
Arthur2 Hoplite would be a more comical & not entirely necessary addition to the team if I'm actually looking to balance. bc of how against the idea of an armored child on the front lines Zandiel would be, while not wanting said child to be in danger trying to find another guild on their own, & begrudgingly letting the kid join but constantly trying to keep an eye on em

I saw a sketch i had from last year & decided to finish it... the dragons are chillin
#ocs#character: zandiel#character: siegril#i've given dragon sieg eo sieg's skin patches THE CROWD (ME) GOES WILD 🎉🎉#basically a dragon has a chance for patches of scales to end up unformed but their skin retains the color. so it becomes patches of skin#a good few of my dragons have this. its common to have scale-colored patches that fade into scales#but siegril has it to the degree where he only has scales on one hand & everywhere else is scale-colored patches#so dont look at previous drawings of dragon sieg for accuracy bc none of them are anymore

I think of characters OTHER than zandiel & siegril for their "OC oc" counterparts a lot tbh... but there's so much shit i can do with the ocverse(?) versions of the OtL cast that I haven't drawn or talked about like anyone else.
At least I've already had an outfit cooked up for Tenmaar. Though i experimented with it a bit compared to the actual version of this outfit

the "6 characters that inspired your oc" chart is always fun to think about because
i rarely have enough inspirations to fill out all 6 slots, even if i stretch the inspiration in question
sometimes the inspiration is "nice name. mind if i borrow it and MAYBE change it up a bit" and other times its "this OC would not even exist if not for the set of specific circumstances that led me to being invested in this character at the moment in time which forged my OCs existence" and it's up to the viewers at home to figure that out
example of both:
#sometimes it's 'NICE VOICE. MIND IF MY CHARACTER CLAIMS IT.'#and sometimes it's me putting the title card of a gacha game side story as the sole inspiration for an oc. because it was.#i feel like zandiel's inspiration chart has a chance of inflicting psychic damage for this reason#because his inspirations range between 'one thing this character said once & nothing else' to 'actual character/demeanor related'
