Personality according to MC: O is terrible. Merciless without a friendly bone in their body. They have no heart. The only thing that gives them happiness is tormenting MC. MC has never seen them smile aside from the venemous smirks they throw their way when spewing out insults that'd make even a grown man cry.

Relationship: Betrothed, enemy, bully

Physical appearance: Brown eyes and pale skin. Full lips. Their hair is long and falls down their back, usually tied at the base of their neck. The strands are shorter on their forehead, almost in a botched attempt to have bangs. It's a bright red color; unnatural. It's an open secret O goes to get it dyed regularly, as the concoction doesn't last long. They have freckles on their nose-bridge, and dimples on either cheeks when they smile (which is rare). Their left ear is pierced. Sometimes seen wearing a black strip of fabric across their forehead.

Attire: Usually seen in loose, billowy cotton black pants and a matching black tunic with a square neckline. Usually has bandages corded around their arms for combat training, and their knuckles are often bruised, so O is forced to cover it with gloves due to appearances. O wears a dainty necklace and is sometimes seen wearing MC's house colors (choice dependent). O's weapon of choice is a single, thin sword.

MC's dad is overprotective of them. Yet he arranges a marriage for them which their partner is a bully. I kinda wanna know his thought process with that decision. 😅

MC's dad is over-protective of his assets. His love is quite twisted. He loves his children like someone may love their pet. He wants ultimate loyalty. And he wants people who can execute his desires without him having to lift a finger. I would say he is emotionally abusive (and physically, through corporal punishment.)

Let's say MC comes to their father telling him of O. His reaction would be anger because 1) MC just snitched (big no-no) and 2) instead of crying to him, MC should be fighting back.

He thinks of it as a life lesson. O's father is good for business and if O is an asshole, well, that's MC's problem to deal with. If MC can't shut down one single bully, how can they run the family business?

So K sees how O treats us and still is friendly and hangs with with them, some friend.

K doesn't have the power to be mean or to treat anyone badly. K has to be on everyone's good side, no matter how they feel. Remember: K has no sway in the family aside from being saved by the patriarch's good will, but even K can get harmed if they mess with people with actual influence like O's family.

If K sees it, then yeah they'll stop it, but even then, they have to be careful not to do/say anything that would insult O or anyone else. It'd be bad for them.

Plus, some MC's would know that and not want K to get involved for that reason. (I think that'll be a choice.)

How big of a slap to the face would it be for O and MC's dad for MC to prefer any of the other ROs over their betrothed bully?

Very big slap in the face. Neither of them will be happy. But O also has a lover on the side so basically just a bad deal all around lmao

Speaking of O, I like so hope we can like proper beat them bcuz mc will not take disrespect lying down + will we get to meet the lover bcuz rn idk my feelings abt them but if we need to ill fight, you can see where im going with this

also how twisted can mc's personality be like it is just shallow e.g on the outside the seem violent idk or like proper deep where they can derive happiness from others' misery type of stuff (schadenfreude)

There will be many chances to fight O! As for the lover, yes, you'll likely meet them. O, while they do not know how to give affection or are very new to the whole 'love' thing, are very bad at hiding their feelings. MC will know immediately who has O like a lovesick puppy just by their face alone when they see them. (Maybe MC can turn the tables and tease them instead...or even hurt the lover to hurt O?)

And MC can find happiness from violence, yes. MC can be their father's dream in that regard lol

MC is the heir to a criminal kingpin and trains rigorously everyday. Their brother once had to kneel in rice for three hours for losing a fight. They can definitely bully O back.

What is Heran fashion like?

I'm eventually going to post my pinterest but a lot of layers, robes or at least robe-like. Everything is oversized and layered and just breathable. V&D's days are hot so a lot of loose and thin fabric, but their nights are cold (by the ocean) so even more layers and overcoats. A lot of muted colors like browns, beige, grays. Vibrant colors are reserved for those who can afford them. That goes for designs and patterns too. Most people just wear plain layered fabric. Designs and jewels and things are $$$

MC and co can afford to dress a bit more flamboyantly due to that, but that's up to preference. Shadow's outfit is all black and has no designs (blendable).

Clothes are not usually form-fitting. Form-fitting gowns and clothes are considered more 'scandalous' but they're not forbidden. It just takes a greal deal of confidence to go out like that.

Casual clothes are robes or simple tunic and pants. Traditionally feminine wear leans towards long gowns and robes.

O prefers the traditionally gender-neutral square-neck tunic and pants for both Oren and Odessa. Easier to fight in. (And they quite like the ambiguity.) (In comparison, more masculine fare leans toward v-necklines.)

I imagine the fashion to be a mixture of traditional medieval era fashion, feudal japan, ancient china and ancient greece. (Probably doesn't narrow it down much but my brain is a hogwash of time periods for this IF.)

can we get O to actually love the mc?

Of course, they're an RO! I got some questions about the 'lover' situation and that's part of their route but that doesn't mean O is in love-love with them.

Depending on the extent of the bullying, I might just "deal with" O in a more permanent way. Also to be honest I am very intrigued by the viper route. Not only because it seems like the main route (the story is literally named Viper&Dove) but I absolutely love (and dread) the eventual MOUNTAINS OF ANGST that will come from it.

Dealing with O permanently...great idea! I will say the bully route won't get into any actual terrible terrible irredeemable territory but they're not a good person so it's best to be cautious around O. They're a total ass (lol).

Yup, Talon/Thea's the main character after MC. Even if MC romances someone else, T's existence is a big part of the story due to the inevitable 'death duel' hanging over their heads. Also, T is the rival heir ha. Though every route will have equal importance!
