“You look murderous right now. It's quite sexy, actually." He turns his attention away from the one party-goer he was watching—a blonde man, trying far too hard to hit on another—and focuses on his new companion, whose painted lips are pulled into a lascivious grin. The glimmer of their jewellery makes them practically glow in the dark, and he notes that they’ve dressed in their best attire.

In turn, he raises an eyebrow with a frown. “I have no idea what you mean, Sysba. I’m merely enjoying the show around me.”

Sysba looks out onto the crowd, and he watches as their expression shifts into one of pity and amusement. “Ah, the first wave is always the most fascinating to observe. For some reason or another, they go much harder than the second or third, who usually come later in the night.”

“Perhaps they go harder because they wish to enter a state of inebriation faster, so they can therefore drown out how miserable they are with their lives.” He leans back against the booth and crosses his arms over his chest as he glances at the crowd. In his peripheral vision, he can see Sysba fixing him with a dubious stare.

“I thought you’d be actually quite happy, considering that you get to see our very special guest later on.”

ok, so now I’m really curious about the mc-kissing-RO-to-shut-them-up with T 👀 in a more advanced part of their rivalry/ relationship, how would they react?

T would freeze up, most definitely. Unlike O, T has never thought of MC romantically (there was just no room for it when there's so much hatred) but has thought of MC a lot. They wouldn't know what to do being so close to MC like that. So many thoughts would be going through their head.

In a more advanced part, I imagine it happening during a duel. T would be pressed flat against the wall, hands on their sides, frozen, before it registers in their brain. Then T would push them off, and in their anger would grip MC's collar in anger. "What are you trying to do to me?" they'd hiss. T would at first think it's some elaborate trap.

"I don't know," MC would admit.

T would stare at them, eyes darting around as though trying to find any sign of a lie on their face. Then they'd throw caution to the wind, drop their sword on the ground, and pull MC closer to kiss them again. It would be very messy and in T's head, they'd just keep thinking: "bad idea bad idea bad idea" but they wouldn't want it to end, oddly enough.

And thus create a weird dynamic of two enemies who occasionally (angry) kiss on the side.

I was just wondering since it was established in story, why wouldn't they use mind control on the MC to make it easier? Obviously it's ethically questionable but they did already kidnap them and seem desperate enough (though understandably that wouldn't make much of a story I suppose).

As I mentioned, magic can be felt and it just wouldn’t be sustainable….or convincing, honestly. You’d have to have someone constantly manipulating MC and be convincing at it.

If you mean mind control as in getting MC to agree, maybe? but it would still be risky especially around people with magic as well but I feel the kidnapper squad would rather stay away from that and have a cooperative MC. Maybe not willing, but cooperative. There could just be a lot of things go wrong in that sense. And yeah, it can go wrong with a completely aware MC but it's easier with an MC who is completely involved.

The kidnapper squad is sort of clueless, but not THAT clueless ha

I do want to mention that erasing their memories is a one and done thing, constantly having to manipulate MC into cooperation is completely different!

Dani is actually the strongest. MC is capable of becoming the strongest with effort!

Can mc have a child? would that make the baby a nephilim?

MC could have a child if they want to, yes! Now, since they're not a born angel, their genes aren't as strong as say, Dione's or Perceval's and they don't have the same abilities as them (MC doesn't have better healing abilities or enhanced strength and stamina, for example).

If they had the child with another human, technically they'd be a nephilim but they have more chances to look more human than angel. The wings are probably the one thing MC would give them, but they might struggle to grow enough for long time flying.

If they had the child with another angel (born angel or not), the child would be a full angel and have more angel-like characteristics but not the same as a born angel. Genetics are like a lottery game.

What would be the dynamic between a kind and naive mc and viper?

Viper would pity them (not in a good way) and be sort of irritated. Dove has lived their entire life and this is what they amounted to as heir? They'd almost feel bad for wanting to kill them, but it'd be fleeting. Part of them would be inclined to want to shake them by the shoulders and tell them to wake up, to see the world for what it is: dangerous and unforgiving. Another part would be envious of that kindness and naivety. T never had the luxury of looking the other way. T's father...had very different definitions of what it means to raise a child, to say the least.

An MC who refuses to fight them would make them go wild. "Fight back, hit me, hate me!" T would hate a one-sided rivalry. They'd feel like a villain.

T's relationship and feelings toward Dove are...super complicated.

If Viper is in love with MC, what would they do to O if they see O bullying them?

Well. Let's hope O doesn't bully MC in front of them because Viper likes to fight...with fists or weapons. They won't care about the consequences of reacting so strongly on behalf of someone they're not supposed to like.

Not good when everyone starts putting two and two together as they wonder why Viper just defended their rival.

Alastair would be happy to do unholy things to you lmao also defiance, but not towards MC's father (this applies more in deeper romance) but him. A person who isn't afraid of pushing back intrigues him, even though he knows it shouldn't.

New romance: They have a hard time expressing themselves as love is not something they are used to ha.

Deep romance: The complete opposite of what they usually are. Very sweet, very romantic and poetic. They are do or die. They love very fiercely. It is quite dramatic at times, but that's the sort of vibe I like. Plus, they can die at any time so it's better to tell people how much you love them when you're still alive, right?

viper's family and dove's family watch in horror when their final showdown was supposed to end with blood but they just smooched instead or as they were waiting for the fight to start, T and MC eloped ☠️☠️

Going to be fun in deep romance when their families do brawl and Viper & Dove have to pretend to fight or risk killing each other's loved ones oops.

MC's dad is overprotective of them. Yet he arranges a marriage for them which their partner is a bully. I kinda wanna know his thought process with that decision. 😅

MC's dad is over-protective of his assets. His love is quite twisted. He loves his children like someone may love their pet. He wants ultimate loyalty. And he wants people who can execute his desires without him having to lift a finger. I would say he is emotionally abusive (and physically, through corporal punishment.)

Let's say MC comes to their father telling him of O. His reaction would be anger because 1) MC just snitched (big no-no) and 2) instead of crying to him, MC should be fighting back.

He thinks of it as a life lesson. O's father is good for business and if O is an asshole, well, that's MC's problem to deal with. If MC can't shut down one single bully, how can they run the family business?

Can the mc come off as kind and naive only to be a lil bit bonkers? Kinda like that idea since the mc can often be misunderstood and seen as less of a threat even tho it's the opposite. Also the interactions with this type of mc, Like one of the Ro's finds out that mc isn't actually innocent and no one believes them cause they think that mc can't possibly do that hahah

Ha, yeah. All of the approaches will be different variables to give as much creative styles/flavor text as you possible! So MC can be kind and naive but in terms of violence and their duty--they can be very bloodthirsty bonkers wild. And everyone else could be like: ?!?!

PLEASE author i have to know: Who was born first that year, Damin or MC?

Damin acts like a little brother should, but I have a personal investment in making MC one of the middle children (as a middle child myself). But the DRAMA of giving them the same birthday too would be soap opera levels of mess. But then who was born earlier that day??? (and the cycle forever continues)

Damin was born first! But definitely does have that whiny, entitled little brother vibe to him. Damin being born first makes him feel even more entitled, and it makes the whole situation much more unfair in his eyes.

MC's father wasn't around for MC's birth though...for Reasons.

Of course! I have plans to all make it different variables. I want MC to be a complex, multi-layered character so Noor can definitely be MC's "soft spot." And Noor is too cute to be mean to (even though you can be mean to her).
