This is just great. I get the whole idea about it fitting into the whole Nen restriction framework and damn you Togashi for not showing it but the fact this card game came down to these two kissing was amazing. Especially with Morena following it up by knowing it was Borksen's first. Ahhh, young love. Morena is adorable here. We also have a little moment with the martial law declaration and finding out where this hideout is. Remember Borksen delaying is inadvertently helping the Phantom Troupe members headed this way. Sure what prompted the Martial Law declaration will be interesting when we get there. But this time we do wrap up the card game interrogation.

Loved this. Borksen takes advantage of one of the cards to really pepper Morena and figure out some details but I loved how it crescendos to this one. It's almost like there was a bit of desperation as Borksen tried to find some wiggle room to hold onto. Like she wanted an excuse to think Morena might not go as far as she said she will. But she's committed. Behind that sweet face is an unquestionable, omnicidal maniac.

But Borksen made her choice. She's in. Sure the alternative is death and all but she's decided to cast her lot with Morena. Love the shoujo eyes here. Borksen's quite cute as well.

I know this one's pretty light but the chapter is too. The card game is just a device we'll probably never see again but it took up time to use it. I figure we'll move back elsewhere or at least see the Troupe arrive here next time. But hey, at least we got the girlies kissing. And that's neat.

I love how it went from Deku being like "This is the story of how I became the greatest hero" and it slowly turned into the story of how both of them became heroes together.

One other thing that also convinces me they'll become hero partners is Bakugo saying this-

"Izuku, I won't stand in your way anymore."

Back at the baths he told Deku he was still his rival, I feel as though this is his way of saying he doesn't want to compete against him anymore. (Obviously there would still be some competition that's just how they are.)

Anyways that's just what I think.

Hot take: Baby Katsuki is not that ugly, he just looks like a newborn. Most fresh newborns look like naked mole rats, Horikoshi is just being realistic. Give it a week and he'll look cuter.

Yoichi looking at Bakugou in this chapter reminds me of the moment just before Katsuki finds Izuku when he's in his dark arc...which is when the Vestiges were all talking about what Izuku needed at that moment.

What Izuku needed, being someone to bolster him, support him.

Which we know also intrinsically links to who and what Kudou was to Yoichi.

Right before they saw Bakugou, they said "the thing Izuku needs most is..." and watching as Katsuki showed up for Izuku.

Now Yoichi is serenely looking at Bakugou fighting for Izuku again. We are given, in the same chapter, Katsukis inner voice stating that he was "not going to hinder/mess with Izuku anymore", and then if I am reading the leaks right, he also shouts that "This is OUR STORY" which could also imply Izuku, and as a declaration of Katsukis loyalty to Izuku, and let's ALSO not forget we also recently had "I'm the one who steps in FOR HIM"

So, now Yoichi is looking at this kid and it's bringing ALL that to my mind again. The writing here is amazing. The framing of this fight, with Katsuki still thinking about Izuku, with yoichi seeing Katsuki like this... it feels like maybe this is acknowledgement that yes, we were right, this kid is exactly what Izuku needed. It may be Yoichi seeing Kudou in him just as AFO did.

It is just...so good.
