The whole time they observed the fight in the distance, they noticed that everything revolved around a specific human with long black hair and blue eyes.
From how he was the one being targeted, to how the demon seemed to be following his orders.
*sigh* thank you for the reminder that Ren has long hair now <33

Preview: Gladiator Chapter 297
After a long journey through the tunnels, Azula, Rei and Song reach Sokka's abandoned house. The experience is bittersweet for the healer as she checks her kitchen and bedroom, revisiting beautiful and heartbreaking memories alike.
After they stop by Sokka's room, marred by signs of the chaos that transpired across the Gladiator's final night in the room, Rei comes up with an idea that startles Azula and Song: the young girl is intent on restoring the house to its former glory, for the sake of both her companions.

Thelreads, MHA 297, Replies Part 2
1) “Yeah it seems you really aren’t aware of how ironic this all seems. Those people weren’t born evil, they became evil. We can’t allow them to leave because they will continue to kill, but that doesn’t mean that there was nothing that could’ve done to prevent that.”- It speaks to the underlying conflict between Izuku and Tomura: that after having understood what his innermost self is like thanks to their mental visions of each other, Izuku does finally understand that even a foe as monstrous as Tomura is still human inside, even if he himself is the one most in denial about that because to admit it would be admitting to the pain and hurt that continues to drive him. However, that same lack of understanding is also justified in some cases, because there are absolute madmen out there like Muscular who are just psychotic bastards to their core, and have no common ground to empathize with over. The main issue is lumping them all together in the same “villain” category, because then the sympathetic ones who still have a chance to turn back from their paths (like Twice) instead because so caught up in and devoted to their “allies” under the same banner that they throw away those chances to re-commit themselves to those who’ve always been “on their side”, even if it’s not always in their best interests, like with how Dabi used them. It’s a complicated issue, because you can see both sides of the argument, and that always opens things up for an interesting discourse.
2) “Sorry, but those doors ain’t gonna do shit I’m afraid. There are no walls that can keep the End out.”- Ironically, AFO doesn’t breach those walls physically despite Tomura’s powers making it easy (too much risk to his “old self’s” survival for him to chance it) but he does breach them through the weird semi-spiritual astral plane that exists between all Quirks. If he had smashed them down, it’d likely have been a better outcome for everyone, because that would have resulted in a lot of prisoners drowning, and AFO’s new army of villainous pawns getting reduced significantly. 3) “…my man, a lot of Nomus, and Shigaraki, can fly, what getting the bridge down would achieve? And sure, you can’t be sure that is him, but c'mon, who else would raid Hell?”- The way I see it, the main purpose is not to stop the intruders, but to deny the prisoners within any chance to escape during the chaos first and foremost, ensuring none of them can make it to the mainland even if the upper levels get breached in the fighting. Plus, normally to assault the prion, you’d need an army, complete with tanks and numerous forces to combat the defences, so this move would also severely jeopardise your ability to mobilise any heavy ordinance or weapons against the highly-defended landstrip. It’s just unfortunate for the jailers that AFO made up for the numbers by concentrating the fighting power of an army into living biological weapons that can easily negate the strategic advantage provided. 4) “Yeah, hopefully the kill drones will be able to hold him back for like, twenty seconds. It will give you guys enough time to make peace with your god.”- Part of it is pragmatic, in that he needs most of the prion and the inhabitants intact for him to rebuild his depleted forces from, partly because Tomura’s body is still utterly thrashed, but it’s also a power move from AFO, demonstrating how far beneath him everyone else is, that he takes over this prison without needing to force Tomura’s body to unleash its more destructive Quirks, just strategic use of his unique connection between his two selves and his command over the powerful Nomus remaining. The Demon lord doesn’t need to go all-out every time to win, he just needs to show up to score a victory most times. 5) “What a coincidence, so is he.
The only difference is that he’s gonna succeed at that.”- And so too will the heroes now. With this many criminals on the streets and very little safe locations to secure them, what Heroes remain by this war’s end may simply need to resort to lethal force not only to defend themselves, but also because they just don’t have the manpower or resources left to securely lock these dangerous maniacs up anymore. 6) “Yeah Shigaraki, but you must remember an important detail about AfO: He’s a piece of shit. Of course he’d say for you to rest and then hijack your body to do his bidding.”- AFO living by the mantra “Do as I Say, Not as I Do”. Once his gambit fully succeeds, then Tomura can “rest” forever more…because he won’t be the “villain protagonist” of that side of the story anymore. 7) “…and now he’s shifting the blame of having his body stolen on Shigaraki, classic move, let’s see what’s the next one.”- You shake hands with the Devil, you better be prepared for him to hang on tightly from his side until he gets everything he wants from you. 8) “Yeah right, he was the one to do that, huh? It wasn’t someone that orchestrated it all to happen like that and then slowly groomed him into a merciless killer, huh? Is that so AfO?”- Again though, whilst AFO has penned the script of Tomura’s character growth to become the threat he has thus far, setting machinations in motion through Garaki to guide his development, it’s still Tomura’s development by the end of the day. For all he’s claiming that he’s merely taking over to help him after Tomura overtaxed himself against the heroes, this is nothing more than AFO doing as he’s always done to people who had powers he desired: stepping in to claim what they’d spent long hours of effort honing for his own benefit – and with the crucial difference being that this time, it’s Tomura’s willpower he’s trying to monopolise through the power it grants him, he still can’t erase the fact that Tomura’s will is Tomura’s will so easily, leaving him struggling more than he expected with this stage of his plan.
(MHA ch 246)
9) “but anyway, the chapter at hand. Boy did it had a lot going on. The talk between the doctor and Shigaraki at the beginning was a goldmine, my god there was so much info that was implied there, so many theories that we can infer from that interaction, but we also did get some info that was pretty much confirmed: All for One started the Nomu project as a way to study quirk evolution since soon it would even be beyond his own control the powers that would arise, and that he intends for Shigaraki to continue his legacy and succeed where he failed, he shall be the one to bring together All for One and One for All, he shall be the end of it all.”- Of course, Tomura might be part of the plan, but AFO always intended to have some version of ‘himself’ sitting in the throne to rule over the ruins of the old world. He will succeed in his goals, come hell or high water, and if he has to succeed in them through Tomura- literally- then he’ll do so. Understandably, the man defined by his sheer selfishness warps the very concept of leaving a legacy behind to benefit others to being something that benefits him in the end.
10) “Okay, it’s not like he’s doing that much to pretend he’s not using Shigaraki, but then again, he knows he already won, it’s not like he needs to keep the facade, he’s just doing so to be a bastard.”- Like the proverbial parasite he is, once AFO has his grip on you, in whatever means or shape it may take, it’s incredibly hard to shake off his influence… not helped by the fact Tomura’s development having lead him to the conclusion of “relentlessly fight my way through every adversity until I win” means he seems to be welcoming this, because he does still desire the power his Master’s hoarded Quirks provide him to destroy everything. IF AFO wants to make himself another obstacle in Tomura’s way, he’s more than welcome to, if he’s willing to run the risk of winding up like so many others who looked down upon this teenaged Demon Lord in the making…
11) “Oh, is it them? I had no idea, I thought it could be someone else that would march towards the safest place on Earth and massacre every guard on the way there.”- Honestly though, you can’t really blame the guards. This is night on the same day that Tomura revealed himself and his new power levels to the world, after they believed that All Might had succeeded in capturing the most dangerous and destructive Villain ever seen in his final battle, and entrusting them with securing him in the deepest levels of their facility. These guards had taken every precaution to ensure the Original AFO could never escape, which even he admitted was enough to stop him in the end, they just couldn’t predict a Second AFO would appear even stronger than the first.
12) “What, no quirk to be able to resist water pressure, AfO? What a careless mistake you made, tsc, and I thought you were an evil mastermind…”- Given the one and only limitation ever presented about the AFO Quirk is the condition of the “vessel” to handle the sheer accumulated power stored within without exploding, AFO’s original damaged body only had so much “space” free to store Quirks for use in his final battle with All Might, and given the intent was always to exhaust and deplete the Symbol of Peace’s strength to ensure he couldn’t harass his Next Me afterwards, AFO was free to stock up on as many combat-focused Quirks as needed to secure that overall outcome. As we see here, him being interred and trapped didn’t really affect his plan, because he’s already acting in favour of using his original body as a disposable pawn.
Just like a diabolical mastermind can casually dispose of underlings that fail to thwart the hero, AFO is capable of using his goal of living on through Tomura as an excuse to place himself in unfavourable conditions he’d normally avoid, because it doesn’t matter if this “self” dies, ir trapped, or defeated, so long as Tomura’s vessel lives on.
13) “oh wow, so even at a perfected stage, he would still be hard pressed to get in, huh? Goddamn, okay, so the place is not just a name, it really is as secure as it says.”- I do respect that for all they’re here as fodder to illustrate how Powerful Tomura and AFO are now, Tartarus and the guards weren’t pushovers. For all AFO gloated to All Might’s face during their brief “chat” he really was imprisoned inescapably within, and if anything had gone wrong for the villains during the PLF war (well, more wrong) then he’d have remained stuck. We might have derided the authorities for not shooting AFO in the head whilst they were processing his mountain of crimes, and it certainly would have been a prudent move in light of this, if not one that’d have stopped AFO’s goal completely, the fact they could actually contain a man of his immense power without All Might around as a deterrent in the field anymore does lend some weight to their leniency in trying to go for the more “humane” path of dealing with him.
14) “And of course, not even All Might expected him to escape…
… but All Might never expected to be two of them striking at the same time.”- Once again, All Might’s unfamiliarity with this “supernatural” element of the mythos proves to be a major blind spot and stumbling block for him and all the heroes. AFO having more time to study this phenomenon and plan around it gives him a means of planning his “game” against the heroes accordingly so they can’t predict or thwart his next move in time, leaving him with a massive strategic advantage that enables him to further undermine their efforts at retaliating whilst they’re still reeling from the damage caused by Tomura and the rest of the league’s efforts. 15) “oh boy… I think we’re gonna see some familiar faces, huh?”- Familiar faces, new ones, and all of them major trouble. “And what’s worse, they were the ones at the deepest level. Who would’ve guessed that not keeping AfO sedated 24/7 could end up being a problem?”- Honestly, with the way the spiritual aspect of the two AFO Quirks interact, even sedated, I bet they’d have been able to fire this dual EMP off regardless, so long as TomurAFO got close enough to interact with his original self. 16) “Like those shit-ass guns will be able to do something. Half the people here were All Might-level of trouble.”- Better than nothing. They may at least stand a chance of killing or injuring those prisoners just below said power levels regardless, and the alternative is to sit and wait for death. Better to go out fighting with whatever weapons you have to hand, especially since there doesn’t seem to be any kind of Quirk-supressing projectile or means of shutting their powers off beyond the Iron Maidens. 17) “ONE FAMILIAR FACE ALREADY
WELCOME BACK BUFF BAKUGO”- Given he last showed up before everything steadily went to shit in Society following the Training Camp arc, it’s appropriate that he reappears in this darkest hour, to illustrate how fucked we all are.
18) “IS THAT WHAT MOONFISH LOOKS LIKE UNDER HIS MASK”- Still no less disturbing if he’s minus the bondage look. 19) “…
I have no idea who you’re supposed to be, number 656698. Moving on.”- She’s a new face to follow on the Villain’s side, with how most of the League aren’t in a position to step up at present, and interestingly, the only one of these “inhuman” prisoners who actually made an effort to help someone other than themselves… 20) “…
Is that… Overhaul?”- Even that brief bit of kindness he was given was more than he deserved IMO. Still, being trapped underground in a ruined prison with nobody to help you or feed you would be a nasty way to go regardless. 21) “Welp shit, AfO stole the medical equipment, the world is doomed now.
The fact he has the evolved body and an army of super villains is nowhere was worrisome as the heart monitor he’s dragging around.”- Note that the way he phrased this, “This will be the story of how I become the greatest…” is a direct parallel to Izuku’s own narration all the way back in chapter 1. It’s symbolic of how he intends to not only usurp Tomura’s role as the leading Villain, but Izuku’s own as the “protagonist”, because he aims to write a story wherein “evil wins in the end”. 22) “Oh boy. We knew this was coming, and I did call that years ago, but that doesn’t make it any better. AfO is out, and he’s not alone this time…
I mean, most of those supervillains Midoriya and his gang can take down rather easily, he defeated Muscular back when he could barely use his quirk, nowadays he’d wipe the floor with him, but even so, those guys won’t come after him alone. And that’s not even taking into account that AfO has Ragdoll’s quirk, and he knows where Midoriya is 24/7
There is no place to hide anymore. There is no escaping the End.”- That’s not even accounting for the fact that Izuku’s been left in pretty rough shape himself from trying to take down Tomura, even risking permanently damaging his arms again in a desperate attempt to stop him, and he won’t have as long a recovery period to deal with them as before, with a target on his back…

CHAPTERS — PROLOGUE CHAPTER I CHAPTER II CHAPTER III CHAPTER IV
Introduction to our vampires:
Jestel Sinflame
/jé-ssel/ 299 years old — The rightful crown prince of Krashoviel. Choosing peace over war right now (living under the same roof as his brother-like best friends rather than in the sucking dry and toxic castle). A little bit classist like his family, Sinflame, except towards Ricardo, who he saw the potential of that kid himself. His parents died during the Red War and now he’s trying his hardest to contact his brother, Holstein, who also got lost in the war.
Sarco Phelanflame
/sár-ko/ 288 years old — Phelanflame has always been the first row at wars. They’re the leader of the soldiers. Very strong since birth with a little sadistic tendency. Their personality is cold, much colder than the other vampires around Krashoviel. If not cold, they’re always a little bit of an oddball. All the elders in his family were deceased during the last war. Now, Phelanflame only has three members, including Sarco and his two other cousins.
Ricardo Nikolai
/ree-kár-do/ 20 years old — Came from an orphanage, Ricardo is a third-class vampire in Krashoviel. He got lucky because Jestel and Sarco saw his potential while visiting his orphanage, they took him home and gave him all the facilities he needed. Ricardo likes to play fight with almost everybody, but his favorite activity to do is disturbing Jusarlie’s peace.
Jasper
/jæs-per/ approximately 23 years old — A new vamp who was found in the woods during their monthly patrolling. No one knows about his background, he lost his memory, so they named him Jasper.
Saine Cairneye
/sāin/ 201 years old — Grandson of the current Queen on the throne. His mother died during the war. The Cairneye bloodline is in charge of magick, witchcraft, astrology, omen, and so on. Their current job is reading people intentions and possible-futures with their crazy personality tests. They are blessed with good physical appearance, and all of them look like elves. They have a silly little hobby, which is accidentally having a vision that scares the royal family a.k.a Sinflame!
Jusarlie Grieffang
/jou-sār-lee/ 297 years old — Grieffang, the fang of Krashoviel. They are the greatest strategists and professors, Grieffang is one of the keys of Krashoviel’s endless winning of wars. They’re still relatives with Sinflame. Jusarlie is Jestel’s distant nephew, though their age gap is not far. Rival kingdoms tried to kidnap and use Grieffangs against Krashoviel during their wars, but it was no use, Grieffangs are loyal and far smarter than them. Plenty of them are still alive after the wars along with Sinflames.
Hiael Von Ruden
/heeæl/ 314 years old — His original nation is Slevado, Hiael was a crown prince. He turned his back after the Red War, and it creates a huge controversy. He is now working under Jestel’s command and is currently busy training Jasper. He’s reserved, calm, to the point where it becomes scary rather than comforting for his surroundings. No one knows what is on his mind, but for Jestel, as long as he has made a blood pact then he’s good.
