#chapter 106 has me thinking bout the Desmonds

I wonder if Yor is the first friend Melinda has made since marry Donovan. I know when we first see her she's surrounded by her club group the Woman's Unity Club or whatever. But that doesn't feel like a real 'friend' group to me. More like a political alliance. Not to mention none of the ladies seemed to really regard her as a friend more of a leader or someone to look up too. In fact when she tries to apologize for what she sees as a misstep her family/husband cause the ladies club try to shoot that down & praise her rather then listen to her. I don't think real friends would do that.

On a personal level too we only ever hear about Melinda discussing her, or well her family's, personal life is with Jeeves, Damian's butler. I think she really tried or wanted to talk about her, or her child's, personal life with Yor. But for reasons felt she couldn't. Perhaps she was worried about what her husband would do if she spoke too far out of line or perhaps she felt that same sudden resentment for Damian that she did when she picked him up after the field trip arc. Something was stopping her from opening up though.

Uhhh tldr I think Yor is the first friend Melinda has chosen for herself in years. But she still can't get herself to really open up with Yor due to reasons we as of yet don't know.
