FebruarOC Day 3: Chanri

Chanri leaned against the inside of the doorway to the study, feeling the carved relief of twining vines pressing into his shoulder as he watched Ilia move around his study, wiggling his fingers as he looked over the towering bookshelves. Many of the books he appeared to be looking at were ones that he’d restored. Chanri remembered most of them as fragile and crumbling texts that Ilia had guarded fiercely after pulling them out of long forgotten places. Now they weren’t so fragile with new covers of dyed leathers and recopied pages.

“Are you certain of these plans of yours,” Chanri asked as Ilia muttered a few words and one of the books from a higher shelf floated down to him. 

“I’m certain of nothing,” Ilia replied as he carried the book, more of a thick tome than a normal sized book, to his desk. He waved his hand at the window while muttering another sentence to himself and the curtains opened to allow sunlight to flood in. “That way I can’t be surprised by anything that falls outside of certainty.”

“Don’t repeat my lessons back to me, whelp. I’ll toss you around a ring the same way I did when you were just a boy.”

“And I’ll just have to reintroduce you to dangling over my head again.”

Chanri snorted and Ilia looked up with a slight grin. All composure broke and Chanri had an answering grin of his own before he shook his head to regain it all back again. Damn was it hard to be stoic when he wanted to keep Ilia here in Yorica where he could keep an eye on him. The tall collar necklace of gold and mother of pearl Ilia wore rankled at Chanri. He hadn’t been there to protect Ilia from the wound he’d received that had caused him to start wearing such jewellery. Instead he’d been in here making sure any and all coup attempts were foiled before they got too much support from even the more passive of this pit of vipers Ilia called a court.

“I still don’t like you going off without me.”

“I’m long past my twentieth summer, Chanri.”

Right. He had been an adult according to Yorican customs for a few years now. But Chanri still saw the boy he had been when they’d met. All wide eyes, messy hair, and gangling limbs that only seemed to coordinate on accident instead of through any purposeful will. The boy was still there, locked behind numerous scars and shadowed eyes, only to come out on rare moments. This wasn’t one of those moments. As proud as Chanri was of Ilia, he still held bitterness for the world that had forced him into the serious young man he was now.

“Here.” Ilia spun the book so Chanri could read where he’d flipped the pages to. He tapped the left page. “This is the answer to a lot of my problems right now, I’m sure of it.”

Reading over the page quickly, Chanri frowned. This was the sort of thing Ilia was crawling through ruins for? Tales of the Fae Folk?

“I don’t think I understand.”

Ilia sighed as he sat back down in his chair. “Wildlings, Chanri. One human parent and one Fae parent. They’re supposed to be as connected to the land as their Fae parent, but not so bound by the rules that govern Fae behaviour.”

“You think there’s one of these Wildlings in Elsienfal,” Chanri asked, more than a little skeptical.

“I know there’s one there.” Ilia stood up abruptly and stalked to the window. “Everyone wants me to marry, then fine. I’ll marry.” He turned his head to Chanri. “King Hasryn oldest unmarried daughter happens to be illegitimate with an unknown mother. So I’ll be going to Elsienfal to end this war between our two countries and see if I can’t manage a betrothal while I’m over there.”

Chanri knew that spark in Ilia’s eyes. He wouldn’t be dissuaded from his plans now. 

“If she’s half as troublesome as you, I’m quitting.”

Ilia laughed for the first time in days.

Evie x Chan (ChanRi)

Chan is the sun to her moon.

Usually stressing over dumb decisions that the younger boys make.

Always forgetting to sleep at appropriate times.

Evie tends to bring meals and drinks to Chan when he’s working to make sure he is still taking care of himself.

Chan is extremely protective of Evie and vice versa. They just want to protect each other and all the members.

Evie rests her head on his shoulder a lot and tends to sit with him while he’s working to keep him company but also she doesn’t really disturb him she just likes to watch what he does.

They always go to each other when they need someone to vent to.

They can communicate using only body language, facial expressions, and eyes.

They sometimes nap together and when they do the younger boys always tease them about it.

The rare times these two disagree the other members will shout “OH NO MOM AND DAD ARE FIGHTING” and it always breaks any tension the two previously had and they apologize to each other and stop arguing/bickering instantly.

Speaking of, did I mention they bicker like a married couple at times.

They trust each other with their lives.

Since Chan is the only member older than Evie she always plays up any small injury or clumsiness so he will dote on her.

Stray Kids would probably derail into chaos if it weren’t for these two keeping the younger boys in check, but also Evie is part of the problem at times egging them on.

Evie often overworks herself so Chan is always there to check up on her to make sure she isn’t doing too much.

Iconic Moment: Evie got injured and had to sit on the side of the stage during a few performances. During one particular performance he actually didn’t leave her side, dancing next to her and stopping often to dote on her and give her gentle touches on her shoulders and arm to reassure her she is still seen and adored. When it came to her parts he’d stop and stare at her with his face in his hands and it made her push him away playfully with one hand. Stay said that performance was proof of how much Chan actually relies on Evie during performances and vice versa as they seem to keep each other in a better place mentally. Evie recalls that during that particular performance she was having a lot of anxiety and didn’t want anyone to know but she said it felt like he and Hyunjin saw through her mask and were there to help her through it and that if it wasn’t for them she’d probably would’ve asked to skip that performance all together.

Evie is constantly staring at Lee Know and is often admiring him from afar. When she catches his gaze she always quickly looks away and it causes him to smirk.

Evie tends to silently follow Lee Know around without realizing it. For example one time he got up and walked away while she was spacing out and she instinctively followed after him a few moments later confusing everyone around her.

Evie is obsessed with any sort of skinship from Lee Know but she doesn’t dare ask for it, she just waits for him to initiate it especially when fans can see them.

Lee Know likes to stare Evie in the eyes because he enjoys her flustered and slightly panicked reaction.

On stage Lee Know will often glance at Evie and has even winked at her a few times and everytime she gets butterflies and lets out a quiet gasp.

When Lee Know gets upset with Evie he tends to ignore her and he has stated that he doesn’t mean to, he just wants to withdraw so he doesn’t hurt her because he knows how close they are to each other.

They tend to blow kisses at each other randomly and flirt aggressively.

Evie says anytime Lee Know isn’t around she feels like the energy around her feels cold and empty.

Evie gets extra giggly and giddy around Lee Know.

Lee Know teases her constantly and sometimes it can come off a bit harsh or mean to others but it’s all out of love and Evie knows that.

Evie has stated that Lee Know is one of her favorite people and that life would never be the same without him.

When she’s overwhelmed she goes and sits with his cats who adore her and she jokes that she is their mom.

She used to cling to him constantly but after some rumors that they were dating she stopped almost all public skinship with him and other members unless they initiate it and she seems a lot more stressed/depressed now because of it.

He calls her his demon.

She always wants to be with him and is like a lost puppy around him.

Evie tends to fight anyone who is mean to him.

Iconic Moment: During a vLive Lee Know and Evie got into an argument and it was cut short when he had pinned her to a wall. Staff had rushed into the room to turn the stream off after they noticed the two’s simple bickering seemed to turn into a full blown argument and when they saw him pull her up they knew they needed to end the stream.

“Oh Minho, quit whining like a little bitch dude, it wasn't that damn serious.” Evelyn says while rolling her eyes at him.

Minho stands up and grabs her arms pulling her with him and he pins her to the wall raising an eyebrow at her, “What the hell did you just say to me Nari?” he asks coldly.

Evelyn stares at him blankly and smirks. “You’re being a wee cunt mate.” she spits with venom and that’s when staff was able to end the live stream, or so they thought. 

One of the staff members just sighed and told them to fix their problems or else they’d have to trade rooms and then walked away. Lee Know and Evie didn’t break eye contact as the staff spoke to them.

“Nari, why are you acting so defensive? These were all just gentle jokes. Is there something you aren’t saying?”

Evie lets out a flustered sigh when she realizes how close they are. “I’m sorry.” she says truthfully.

“That’s what I fucking thought. Behave. Do you understand me? We won’t be having something like this happening again, yeah?”

“Yes Minho, I’m sorry for being an ass.” she says, staring deeply at him and he steps away from her and she just falls to the floor.

When Lee Know got back to the phone he noticed the live was still going and just said “Shit.” as it ended. That’s when their dating rumors started and JYP quickly shut that down after confirming with the idols that they were in fact not in a relationship. Since then Evie watches her tongue on lives and refuses to speak out line.

Iconic Moment: During one of the performances of “Maniac” Evie had started to feel faint and Changbin kept checking on her throughout, touching her arm to make sure she wouldn’t fall and even handing her his water bottle during the performance, she refused at first but the younger boy insisted again and she quickly took a sip while still dancing. She ended up getting even more light headed and Changbin literally dragged her off stage to make sure she didn’t faint and hurt herself.

Other than Lee Know, Hyunjin is the other member in SKZ that can make Evie flustered with extreme ease.

Hyunjin doesn’t like to see her cry and will often wipe her tears away gently and listen to anything she needs to say.

Everything they do together strengthens their friendship and their bond and they both agree that their lives would be extremely different had they not met before.

Hyunjin initiates skinship the most out of the members with Evie knowing she doesn’t like initiating skinship after the last scandals she had.

Hyunjin likes to put his hand on her thigh and squeeze it.

Evie likes to play with his hair.

Often when Evie plays games Hyunjin will come in and watch her and lay his head on her shoulder while she plays.

Evie and Hyunjin go on walks often.

Hyunjin always gets shy if Evie initiates any sort of flirting or skinship with him first.

Iconic Moment: Their hiatuses in 2021 had overlapped with one another and one day during their hiatus Hyunjin had gone into Evie’s room while she was streaming while gaming and just sat with her and kept her company. The conversation they had warmed Stays heart and still to this day will randomly go viral.

“Nari?” Hyunjin said in his usual super kind and gentle tone when he speaks to Evie.

“Yes Jinnie?” She glanced at him while still gaming.

Sheepishly he asked, “Why do you like me so much?” 

Evie pauses her game and turns to him. “What do you mean?” She asked in a confused tone.

He simply shrugged and just asked again. “Why do you like me so much?”

She smiled at him and gently hugged him before responding. “I like you so much because you're Hyunjinnie. Since day one you’ve always just sorta understood me. You’ve cared for me, doted over me, loved me. You’ve always been a goodness in my life that I’ve been missing. Hyunjinnie, you’re one of my favorite people. Your soul is so pure and I’m glad that I can share a part of my world with yours.”

Hyunjin’s eyes widened and he started to get flustered and he looked down. “Really?” his voice cracked.

“Of course. You’re one of my best friends! I love you Hyunjinnie! WE love you!” she said as she pointed to the live stream. “You’re such a strong person and you inspire me a lot to be a better dancer. I adore you Hyunjinnie and I always will, okay?”

“I adore you too Nari!”

They hugged and then she went back to her game. Stay kept commenting on how happy Hyunjin seemed after the words Evie had said to him. Stay also asked if he would show up more during his hiatus but he never joined Evie on any of the live streams she did during their hiatuses.

An unlikely duo but surprisingly they mesh well together.

Evie and Seungmin never really bicker.

Seungmin really enjoys pushing Evie’s buttons but she never gives him the reaction he’s looking for.

They are probably reading books together somewhere.

Evie sometimes talks too fast for Seungmin to keep up so he says “Huh?” to her a lot and she always goes “HuH?!” back before she repeats herself.

Iconic Moment: Seungmin showed the massive soft spot he has for Evie during a behind the scenes video. Evie had slipped and fallen and hurt ankle but had to pretend she didn’t get hurt to finish shooting for that day as she didn’t want to delay anything due to her own clumsiness. Seungmin was the first one to notice the older girl in pain and he kept checking up on her asking her if she was sure she wasn’t hurt. Evie never lies to Seungmin as he is really good at reading her body language and was honest with him.

“I just hurt my ankle a bit, I think I may have twisted it or sprained it but I’ll be okay we just need to finish this right? Then I can rest.” 

“No, I'd like you to rest now, hyung.” he urged, helping her to a chair. 

“Seungmin. You’re a pain in my ass bud.”

“Someone needs to keep you in check.” Seungmin then told staff about her injury and she did in fact sprain it.

Nothing was delayed by her injury so they were confused as to why they didn’t just be honest with them but they didn’t question it. Seungmin checked on her often and even gave her a hug, something that he doesn’t typically do with Evie when cameras are around. When staff asked why Seungmin was so concerned when Evie had already mentioned she was okay to which he answered.

“Nari hyung can be very reckless and would rather avoid conflict than take care of herself. Sometimes we have to remind her that she is still human and keep her in line. I love her and I don’t want to see her in any pain.”

He is also protective of her just as she is of him.

They really enjoy making fun of JYP together.

Iconic Moment: There is an entire compilation on Youtube called “Evie Mothering Jeongin for 30 Minutes and 30 seconds.” and the entire thing is moments where Evie is just being utterly soft for Jeongin and she’s taking really good care of him. One moment in particular went viral for a while.

Evie had woken Jeongin up and he didn’t want to wake up yet so he sorta curled into her and told him if he at least sat up she’d get him so breakfast in bed and that boy damn near shot up out of that bed and she just chuckles and shakes her head and she kisses him on his head before she heads to go make breakfast for the boys.

While she was walking away Evie could hear Jeongin say “What? Noona cooks the best breakfast!” causing her to shake her again and laugh.

Once she finished breakfast she called all the boys to come eat and takes Jeongin his plate as promised but he ended up following her out and ate with her instead and said that he missed his noona while she was cooking.

Junho is the group's main vocalist and one of the many visuals of the group. He is known among fans due to his attractive appearance and his strong muscles, which Junho appreciates as he worked very hard for them. He has no problem posting a picture or video on SNS of him working out or posing right after the gym. But, don't call him a brainless gym rat: his smooth vocals will have you falling in love with him. But, don't fall too in love with him. Junho is married to Jenna (of @elektra-world) and views her as his whole world. Junho isn't also afraid to post a picture of him and Jenna hanging out together, even posting a picture with him, Jenna, and his niece MinMin.

Even though he wasn't part of the group long after moving to SM, then HYBE, Axel still has made an impact on the group and on fans alike. Due to his rugged look and his deep voice, fans have fallen in love with him, his deep voiced raps often trending on various social media sites. Even though he keeps his night life strictly night life, Axel does not mind flashing some of his expensive accessories and more if a fan notices. The only one besides his members that know about his night life is his girlfriend Chanri (of @elektra-world). She found out after coming along with him on one of his nights out. He also has brought her with him to attend some "meetings," along with visiting some popular underground clubs with her.

The hottest topic, age 25

Tan is one of the remaining original members of the first phase of the group, which was Bluestars. Tan has been with the group for long enough that fans have seen him grow up from 19 to his current age. His vocals have kept fans intrested in him, often being praised due to his stage presence and his ability to perfectly dance while singing. Tan is truly a jack of all trades. The woman behind the success is his girlfriend Kay (of @elektra-world). Her bubbly nature offered him a place of comfort when things got too hard and when the world got too heavy. While their relationship is not public information, he does have a folder of around 8 thousand pictures of the two together and just of her. She is his biggest fan, and vice versa.

R O M E O

Your first and only love, age 25

Romeo has also grown up in front of fan's eyes as he joined the group when he was only 19 years old (he's two months older than Tan). But, through getting many tattoos, exposing his old companies bad practices, and more, fans have adored the sub rapper and vocalist. Romeo has also gained a spot in many fan's hearts due to his charms and his honestly. But, there is also a woman in his heart: Yua (of @elektra-world). Romeo took his time with Yua, creating a perfect line for them to cross when they decided to date. Romeo has no problem with staying up all night with her, producing music, checking out clubs, playing mario kart together, etc. He may have been the fan's first love, but Yua is his.

all the events in hc1, hc2, and hc3 are canon. however, the events in delirium and heaven's gate are NOT canon. basically, anri never knew vincent, and vincent, charles, and anri did not go to the same school.

It may have been years since Sultana Jahana had disappeared years ago. Yara knew of it of course. Had allowed it to happen, as well as her mother. But by this point she thought everyone had forgotten that the Sultana, and the ones before her, had always guards. Nothing flashy like the ones that protected the sultan or their sons. Still, in the disappearance of the previous sultana and now, Yara had taken over the family and their business going several generations back and kept up the work of making sure that her daughters and eventual granddaughters would be prepared to take on guarding the next sultana.

Forgotten. Till now.

Chanri Harrowhawk sat uncomfortably on the lounging chair in the back garden. Yara’s husband, faithful Cheo, had passed years ago so she felt no shame in looking over Chanri. She suspected underneath his uniform he would be pleasing to look at. She wasn’t wrong. Good heavy muscle went well with the solid features of his face.

“Seeing as you are from Iqba, I’m curious about how you managed to find out about my family and find us,” she said before sipping at her cooled mint tea. Chanri looked up, where her daughters were surely peering from the upper windows, before meeting her eyes again. Yara smiled slightly. 

“Looking into things,” he replied carefully. Good man. He’d learned the most important part of guarding then.

“And?”

“And it seems that not all of the ladies that surrounded the Sultana were of the upper nobility, or even the lower nobility. Internal records gave me a consistent name.” He looked up again. “Despite not being noble, your family has homes quite close to the palaces.”

Yara sat back, tea still in hand. “Learned from Ilia that you couldn’t put male guards on whoever he married. Which meant you had to track us down.” Chanri nodded. “Also means he has someone in mind.” The next sip of tea she savoured for a moment. “When do you want us back in the palace?”

When she buys him matching clothes, he's more likely to wear it during lives or vlogs so she knows he's thinking of her

He will often surprise her with dates, either picking her up from her schedule or from her place

Kay is his most frequent visitor, having her own space in his closet and in his bathroom

Calls her "babe" often, and will occasionally call her "my love"

He often asks her for feedback on his performances, valuing her words more than anyone else.

He always invites her over and plays video games with her, only to just stare at her

No matter the situation, he runs to be by her side and does anything she needs

She's kinda like a mama bear to her members and he admires that about her. He wants to be a leader like that in his subunit.

She will occasionally join him in his stupid ideas, mostly taking pictures of him being stupid

If they were around each other, he's either staring at her or holding her hand

Whenever she has comebacks, he always listens to it and plays it on repeat, smiling whenever her part comes on. They also have studio dates often where they make music together (or just cuddle)

CHANRI + FUJI

Fuji is the bad boy that is mostly in Wattpad fics (he street races at night, and owns lots of underground clubs). Chanri is the only person he told that he does that

He likes to give her money that he makes from his races and from the clubs. He also likes to buy her expensive gifts and spoil her

Both are naturally flirty people, so they flirt with one another a lot

Chanri is the apple of lots of idols' eyes, which sometimes makes Fuji jealous but he trusts her

When he goes away on business trips in Japan, she always gets nervous and will be until he calls her or comes back. He always feels bad for it, making up for it by buying her something or spending lots of time with her

They have sex. A lot of it. He had to get an apartment away from everyone else bc he used to get lots of noise complaints

But besides the money and sex, he truly loves her. He always talks about how much he loves her and wants to show it constantly (which is usually through gifts).

She'll go with him to the gym and she just watches him. When he mentions that she should be working out too, she just blushes and then continues staring at him

Junho takes care of his Niece MinMin often, so Jenna helps too. He swears up and down that MinMin and Jenna are partners in crime

When he's not taking care of his niece, he's taking care of Jenna in between her schedules. She takes care of him when he works too hard in the gym or in his schedule, which he appreciates

He may come across as sometimes uncaring, but he actually does. He'll make her breakfast before he leaves in the morning and makes her dinner when he comes home. He's even made her food in the middle of the night because she started craving food.

He loves her with all of his beings and is glad that he married her

They were the couple who started it all. He met her after he said that she was his ideal type two years ago and ever since then, it's all been about love

They do have twin children together named Baekhyun and Chaeyoung. He loves them almost as much as he loves Sora.

If he had to, he would give his life for his wife and kids, promising to provide for them forever

Which is why he works in his studio constantly and makes music all night long. Sora will occasionally come in and give him food or water and check in on him, making sure he's alright.

Jae will take night shifts with the kids since he's already up, giving Sora a chance to sleep. He doesn't want to leave Sora all alone without his help as he had done when she was pregnant. She was alone at home a lot while he was out with his group and he hated doing it.

But, besides their kids and all that, he loves her and she loves him
