Tony hadn't meant to fall asleep. He hadn't even realised that he had been drifting off until he heard the distant laughter of Rhodey. Truth be told, he had been working hard in the lab to try and get the refits of his suit finished, which had meant that his sleep schedule was screwed. He had been powering through with coffee, but this time, it seemed that that wasn't going to be enough.

He stirred a little as he felt the other carrying him, peering up at him as he was laid down on the couch. "I'm fine," he muttered, trying to argue with the other. That didn't last very long though, not when he was being covered in a cody blanket and his eyes were already trying to close. Maybe an hour or two would do him some good at least.

Tony and James were working side by side together in the lab, working into the late hours of the morning. They often worked together when both of them had some time away from their busy lives. It was like being at MIT all over again. James wasn't as versed in the world of robotics as he was about aeronautics but he always learned best from Tony.

He was focusing so hard on the current project at hand, he hadn't realized Tony had started to drift off. He felt a head land on his shoulder and started laughing. Tony had been pushing himself hard again and James knew this would happen sooner or later. This definitely wasn't the first time.

He didn't even try to wake him. He just stopped his work and moved to scoop Tony up, still being able to do so (which definitely made James proud of himself). He carried him to the couch housed in the corner of the lab and laid him down, "Get some sleep." He murmured, covering him with a cozy blanket.

He turned back to what he was doing, keeping Tony company during his snooze.
