Re-Introducing: Miss Elizabeth “Lizzie” Beasley
As the first born and only daughter to the Beasley name, Lizzie had a lot of pressure on her growing up. Her debut into society had to be absolutely perfect. She must find a man with a title to marry in order to make her family proud. It was all she had been taught to do. She had to make her family proud.
Of course, that would be a lot easier if she hadn’t been best friends with Benedict Bridgerton since they were children, and been in love with him for almost as long.

‘ chasing someone’s lips after they pull away ’ + lizzie and benedict ? <3
I apologize again for just now getting around to this. I haven't written for Lizzie and Benedict in a hot minute, so I hope this turns out okay. Also, I think for this prompt it is "supposed" to be like the quote used, but I'm going to make it the action because it makes it better.
Lizzie's heart thundering in her chest as she walked toward the Bridgerton home. She took care to make sure nobody saw her walking there alone, by herself, at night. The ton would have more to gossip about than they already do. Thankfully, they hadn't found out yet about her broken engagement to Lord Sebastian Shaw. Lizzie wasn't stupid enough to think that it wouldn't be the talk of the ton tomorrow. She'd be surprised if Lady Whistledown didn't have something to say about it as well.
Benedict's back was to her as she approached, but her clearing her throat lightly, caused him to turn around and face her.
"Lizzie, you scared me." He stated, "What are you doing here?"
She closed the distance between them, barely a foot separating them after she stopped walking. He was looking down at her with a confused look before looking around to see if anyone was around to see them.
"I ended my engagement to Sebastian." Lizzie stated bluntly.
Benedict's eyes went wide as he looked down at her again, "What? Why?"
Lizzie took his hands in hers as she looked stared up at him, "You know why, Benedict..."
Within a flash, Benedict looked panicked as he pulled his hands from hers and started to pace around,
"Lizzie, he is a Lord. He has a title, and land, and money."
"I don't care about any of those things."
"He can give you a better life."
"Benedict, just two days ago you were telling me not to marry him."
"I was wrong to do that."
"Benedict, I want to be with you." Lizzie stated, growing more upset with every second.
"Sebastian can give you more than I can, Lizzie. I'm a second son."
"Benedict, I don't care about that!" Lizzie stopped his pacing by standing in front of him, next to no space between them, "I've never cared about any of that. I have been in love with you my entire life. I don't care about titles or money or land. I want to marry for love."
Benedict brought his hands up to cup her face as he stared down at her. He rested his forehead against hers before speaking once more.
"I love you, Elizabeth. I'm so sorry it took me soon long to realize it. I want nothing more in this life than to marry you."
Lizzie's eyes widened before a smile broke out on her face, "Is that a proposal, Benedict Bridgerton?"
"Not an official one. Think of how the ton would talk." He teased, "But for the two of us. Here. Now. It is my proposal to you. Lizzie, will you marry me?"
"Of course I will."
Benedict stared down at her for a moment before he leaned over and kissed her. Her heart soared the moment his lips touched her and she didn't hesitate before kissing him back. Rules of society be damned. She never cared much for them anyway.
Lizzie pulled away a moment later, "I should go home before the prying eyes of the ton catch us, and then we'll have some real explaining to do." She joked.
Benedict nodded before he leaned over and kissed her once more. Lizzie smiled into the kiss before she pulled away again, Benedict chased her lips with his own, pouting when she refused him one more kiss.
"Once we're married, you can kiss me all you want, Mr. Bridgerton. Until then. You must wait."
"That day can't come soon enough."
