You don't have to watch the whole thing, but a long time ago, I mentioned how SEGA of Japan DID NOT approve of Sonic's actions in this scene, and now, you can see they've edited it to be more within his character.
I had some people messaging me about where I got that fact, it was an old Youtube video just after Sonic Generations, but I couldn't tell them where. At least you see now that my information I got from that video was accurate after all these years, cause they did end up changing it once SEGA of Japan was in charge of Sonic x Shadow Generations!

An emotional moment after Rusty releases the flicky inside of her. She possibly can't even she'd tears from how her body was... don't even want to think about what those bastards did to her.
One of the few moments where Sonic being the one who tears up would add to a bittersweet moment, with Rusty comforting him because she can finally be free.

Combining Prompts (To hopefully get through them all at last! DX lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I play POLYMERIZATION! Taking these two prompts on my side of the inbox, I'll have them merge to combine and create..!"
Tumblr media
"This-" Prompt:
“You’re nothing but a manipulator.”
The charismatic sound rattled Infinite to no end.
How could he continually disregard threat after threat? The abuse of Infinite’s words trying to sting a thousand deadly poisons about his friend’s shortcomings in the war rolling through his blood as though rain upon skin, not lasting… not affecting…
His spirit was unwavering and undaunted in the fact of his charading mask.
Infinite put a clawed hand up to it, his own insecurities shaking at Sonic’s optimism. Who taught this hero that? Was in just innate in him!?
‘His friends… are truly his power.’ He turned with a wide swish of his tail to the jail cell, also unrelenting, also unyielding.
His hands gripped the cage bars, “You have so much faith in your pathetic friends… the stench of their fear, after losing you, saturates the air even through the smog of burning smoke and ashes!” He shook the bars by accident, having thrusted himself up against the metal borders between freedom and entrapment.
Sonic, his arms folded, smirked with a side-eye back to Infinite’s attempt. “You’re the pathetic one. Shaking the cage instead of me.” He nonchalantly lifted a palm up towards the ceiling, as though shrugging. “My friends would never lose their cool.”
Unable to hold back a growl of distaste at failing to rile Sonic up or even get a reaction of misery out of him, Infinite, like a predator unable to feast on his prey’s sufferings, threw himself around and paced himself as though to walk away.
But no… It occurred to him, then… His one eye widening before slyly looking back at Sonic
He held a hand again to his mask, but this time, more poised than ever.
“I’m not sure what will convince you… besides, perhaps, an example?” He wanted to check to see if Sonic was now paying attention, he hadn’t exactly described a situation before. He had always, vividly, tried to paint a picture for Sonic of his friends falling back at his own power, at scurrying away in pain.
Describing injuries and their looks of fear and torment never seemed to phase Sonic, as though he knew his friends all too well…
“But this one…” He slightly tilted his body, wanting just a glance… a peek at his face. “Might surprise you.”
Sonic was still facing his back to him… ‘Alright… the games begin anew.’
More confident, Infinite turned away from looking slightly over his shoulder and continued his farce since of illusionary power…
“That one hedgehog, pink and frail, wielding a hammer not quite proportional to her size… Ring any bells?”
“She’d like me to hear bells.” Sonic scoffed, but it did mean he knew the very girl Infinite was speaking of…
He smirked under his mask. ‘I have you now… Sonic..!’
He paced to the side, showing he wasn’t going anywhere. “A spirited girl. Kinda reminds me of you, at times… Rallying her troops, raising their courage to fly the flag of resistance wherever they should so march… After all these months, though… I have come to find her weakness is rather… easy to exploit.” He raised a clawed hand, and curled it maliciously.
He took another peek.
A swift turn of Sonic’s quills showed he didn’t want to reveal his listening in…
‘Excellent… I’ve found your weakness as well.’ He swished only one beat of his tail, bringing it to his other side.
“It didn’t take long… You can read that one like a book. A picture book, even.” He lightly threw out some humor, mocking her. “Who knew a girl who’s fought robots all her life would get so shaken up by…”
He fully turned to face Sonic, folding his arms, “One…”
Sonic’s body twitched, before he repositioned his feet and seemed to regulate himself.
This was the first time Infinite was using an example about the little termite. She had holed herself away after an unfortunate setback… with Tails realizing both of them weren’t fit for combat.
Tails, with the loss of his best friend, and Amy dealing with loss by trying to stay active in hope and combat… only to be overthrown by her childhood trauma when faced with Metal Sonic Phantoms…
“My power grows stronger… thanks to her fear.” He dipped his chin down slightly, then walked with great, easy and relaxed strides as though he had all the time in the world to squeeze every last morsel of a delicious meal out of Sonic…
How he had longed to see the look of despair on that overconfident hedgehog’s face… a hero broken and defeated by Infinite’s own might and power..!
He tapped the metallic edge of his mask’s ‘nose’ against the metal bars. “Sonic? You still there?” He mockingly teased.
Sonic huffed out some air from his nose, scoffing at him.
“Want me to go on?” He was loving this.
Sonic? Silent?
“No remark at all, have you?”
“... You prattle on and on… just like Eggman.” Sonic’s words infuriated him.
He straightened up, stood more intimidatingly at the border of the cell, dropping his arms and forming fists. “What!?”
“Amy might have some small hammers…” He finally… turned around.
He walked to face Infinite’s trembling eye with his own, steady and steadfast, piercing emerald eye of his own.
“But she can also carry bigger ones… and it looks like you haven’t seen those yet.”
Infinite grunted to disregard Sonic’s bold stance and claim, flicking a hand up to dismiss his heroic defense of her.
“It’s no use, Infinite… You can’t shake me up.” Sonic smiled, leaning back. “Why not just quit already?”
“I can do whatever I please!!!” Infinite, losing his cool, slashed a claw across the bars as Sonic jumped back, landing on three limbs before smiling confidently once more, getting up to see Infinite breathing hard.
Infinite put a shaking hand to his throat… as Sonic tilted his head and chuckled to the side of himself.
“Right. Whatever you ‘can’ do… but without that mysterious power of yours… you’re nothing but the empty shell you wear on your head…” He swiped an arm out, as Infinite looked up, as though worried Sonic saw right through his ruse…
“You’ll pay for that… hedgehog.” He moved and lowered a lever, as Sonic’s face turned from joking to serious.
Another torturous arena battle, eh?
When would he learn…
Once rescued, Sonic immediately found out the source of Infinite’s power through some trial and error, but with the help of his friends, he also noticed…
At the final battle, Amy was avoiding the Metal Sonic’s…
His heart Infinite’s words, seeing that they must be true.
At first, he was relieved to hear Amy didn’t leave the base most of the time. Figuring all of Infinite’s spout out nonsense was just like his Phantom Ruby powers, make-believe that he convinced himself he was seeing.
It gave Infinite power to see others weak and helpless before him… he soaked in their expressions of fear as though a vampire to their bloodlust.
Amy’s face would shift when seeing a Metal Sonic coming at her, then turn to only find another in the opposite direction.
Her hammer stayed at her side, ready… but never launching itself towards its foes…
Sonic didn’t have much time… he needed to defeat this thing, the giant mecha Eggman had holed himself inside… but this… this needed to be addressed first.
Because, in truth, seeing even some of Infinite’s words proving true… was what truly made Sonic feel fear.
His heart trembled, yes.
But not in weakness…
In strength.
“Amy!”
Alarmed, Amy turned around to gasp, seeing Sonic leap over her and curl up to knock away a few more enemies, leaving–purposefully–the Metal Sonics as the only illusionary menaces still plaguing her flanks.
“W-What did you do that for? Come to help or selectively not hit the ones with your ‘somewhat’ face?” She teased, but as he put his back against her own, letting the Metal Sonic’s swarm and surround them, he could feel her body quake in fear…
He closed his eyes, trying to help his heart beat louder… Maybe, just maybe… Her heart might match its empathic pace.
It might guide her to the bravery he knew was always within her, even at her most lowest,... Amy wasn’t the kind of girl to quit.
“Amy…” He turned only some of his face over his shoulder, speaking indirectly to her as he opened his eyes to see the Metal Sonics raising their metallic claws, slowly taking steps to pin the two more and more against each other… squishing them into the center of their pre-pounced huddle.
“Remember what we said Infinite’s power runs on?” He eyed her behind him and then the Metal Sonics… they were growing larger… their red eyes blaring as though two twin lighthouses… not meant to instill safety, but distill it with the heat of battle, rising in growing doom.
“They don’t casts shadows…”
She looked down at the ground, seeing that.
“But in your mind… The more power you give them, the greater they become.”
Sonic’s words were like an anchor to her soul, and she took a deep breath, holding the Piko Piko Hammer, a trusted friend nowadays, with both hands… gripping it tightly and rubbing a twisting firmness to secure the lock they had on them.
She nodded, understanding.
“Banish that doubt, Amy… I’m here for you. I’ll be your strength… just like when it all first happened… I won’t leave you hanging for long.”
His voice was so gentle, so reassuring.
Her eyes blinked in recognition, remembering dangling by what felt like an iron thread, crying out in desperate cries to be let go…
Sonic’s spin dash cut what felt like impossible bands to break, and once catching her footing, the binds of those ropes falling away, rushing into his arms, “Sooonnniccc…!!!”
Feeling that rush of gratitude like how she had felt back then, she smiled with peace finally lingering in her heart…
Her heart and his… steadily beating to the same drum.
“Thank you,... Sonic.” She teared up a little, “I missed you.”
He smiled, too. “Not for too long..! I hope…” He teased, but looked behind him and winked to her.
“Hehe, you’re such a charmer!” She played back, before swinging her hammer up over her head, “HHHHHHHEEE–” She wound up.
The Metal Sonic’s suddenly froze, looking at their bodies as they began to continually shrink in size.
“-HAHHHH!!!!” The Hammer grew in power, springing out puffs of what looked like cotton clouds to then reveal its enormous size..!
It swung down to completely flatten quite the regiment of Metal Sonics, now the size of nothing more than ants compared to her enlargened hammer.
The ‘Piko!’ Sound was deep, a low, heavy sound that amplified by the impact pulse and waves of air as rocks flew up in debris from the collison.
The echo made other Metal Sonics turn before lifting their arms to try and shield from the wind blast… but were taken out by the flying, large rocks that came hurdling at them.
Sonic flicked a thumb across the underbelly of his nose, proud of his friend conquering her fears, and realizing that was exactly why Infinite separated him from his friends.
The one thing that Infinite and Eggman did happen to see…
Was that Sonic… helped to dissipate fear from all those who trusted in him.
He was… Their beacon of everlasting Hope… and gave them the will to fight!
He took out the rest of the Metal Sonics in front of him, “I’ll take care of the rest!” He snickered, “And I don’t like my face that much, Amy! Come on!”
“Biggest lie I’ve heard today!” Amy cheerfully teased back.
“The nerve!” Sonic joked, but smiled and chuckled at seeing her thriving now on the battlefield…
Their rhythm aligned, their hearts were now synced, and with the same speed of delivery, Sonic and her continued to thrash the foes around them before he sped off with a kind wave goodbye, his eyes softened in a glaze of admiration of her.
She gave him a beautiful smile that freely warmed his heart with the light of hope she had once taught him to possess, and sped away to take on the big bad boss… once more… with a heart cleansed from doubt.
And certainly not holding on… to any more fears.

Prompt:
A red and striped beach towel covered a red, one-piece swimsuit with a logo of a streak of white lighting made of a different fabric on the upper-right chest. A coconut drink with a pale blue umbrella was being slurped out of a straw, and Amy Rose was lounging on a low beach chair, enjoying the morning paper.
Music played beside her on a super old-fashioned stereo she liked to call, “Retro” in design. She mindlessly stared at the article about her blue hero’s triumphant victory yet again earlier in the week, and clicked a button to change the station channel on the stereo.
“And now, for all you lonely hearts out there~” The announcer stated, showing she was listening to the radio.
“Oh-hoo~ My love~” Amy sighed deeply, listening to the music. “Whether through storming waves, or over the moon, and past all the constant stars~”
She frowned, looking up from her thick black glasses with red rims to the ocean before her, and then looking around while putting a fist up to her chin to lean on her low-riding spread chair meant to fit two.
‘… He’s not coming… is he?’
“Whenever you need me, call out my special name. And no matter what, I’ll be the rocket’s red flame. I’ll be the steamboat’s song~ I’ll be the rowing tidal wave-”
She turned off the music, getting annoyed with a long stretch up to finally start getting ready to go home.
She smacked her lips together, looking back at the coconut drink and closing one eye to peer the other into it. “Hmm. Empty. Like my day has been…” She placed it down and whined a little with a groan up towards the heavens, getting up as though she was ‘too’ relaxed, and it bothered her.
Wiggling her bum up and off the chair was probably her way of coping with the miserable evening of a beautiful day on the beach… wasted.
“I really thought he’d do it.” She pushed against her back by drawing her hands to its bending arch, stretching again with a ‘Hoo…’ at the end of it all.
She rolled up some of the newspaper and smacked off the resting sand sticking to her legs, then wiggled her tail to spray off the last of the scratchy sand and nodded with a pleased look of achievement in her expression.
“Yep, that’d oughta do it. Next time, if I text Sonic a specific day and time, in hopes of not telling him what we’re doing to be a great ‘hook’ for a surprise date, maybe just tell him to RSVP so I don’t sit here disappointed?” She looked at her newest phone designed by Tails himself, and still… no calls, no messages… But a post of Cream and her Mother sending good wishes to Amy… as though they knew he wouldn’t come either.
Her heart sank a little at the adorable picture, knowing those two were there during her hardest of times… When she thought Sonic wasn’t coming back to their world…
She put away the phone into the beach bag, a simple weaved one she bought cheap.
“Why do I even bother…” She reached to get her stereo… bending down and reaching for it. “He probably didn’t even receive the text, anyway… I wonder if he’s off planet again?”
Before her hand could reach the handle, a gust of familiar, fast-flying wind sped by her and swished her quills to the right, staggering her bent stance slightly as a button was clicked down to spark to life the radio again.
“This goes out to our heartbreakers!” The announcer stated, but the wind came again and again, changing the channels, “News states the sport’s life is at an all-time-” *Click* “Another beloved actor has unfortunately passed this-” *Click* “To the old couples out there, this one’s for you, honey.”
By this time, Amy’s hair had been whipped left and right, and even her three iconic quills were dangling limply over her face, making her blow up a puff of air to move at least one of them out of the way to reveal her droopy eye.
“When you’re alone, does it feel like the end? If this is goodbye, no, I’ll call your bluff, babe.”
Hearing the classic song, Amy suddenly thought back to when she first heard it.
Many, many years ago…
“I won’t do it!” Sonic, in funny floaties, flippers, and over-exaggerated eye-goggles folded his arms and pouted deeply into them, refusing to even set foot in the water as a young Amy Rose splashed him and tapped the water.
“Mr. Sonic. If you don’t get in the water and conquer your fears, how will we ever swim together?” She cheerfully stated, with the firm hand of a devoted teacher.
“We don’t.” He simply, firmly, stated back with the spirit of youthful rebellion, and tried to take off a flipper that was wedged in tightly on his foot…
As he struggled, Amy sighed.
The song on the radio back then was the same radio she was using today… But the song was much newer then…
“Don’t act so tough, you’re my hellos, and every good morning from sundown to dusk. So trust~ Me~”
“Come on, Mr. Sonic! Take my haaaand…” She waddled through the pond of the zone they were currently in, taking his hand and gently guiding him into the water, his flippity-flopping clops-clops of his splashing flippers wading through the water unwillingly following after her.
She giggled, “Aw, you’re so cute!”
“Cute!?” Sonic angrily twitched an eye, then sneezed. “I’m not cute! I’m cool!”
“You’d be even cooler if you swam with me~” Amy teased, winking one eye closed and smiling charmingly to him.
He blew bubbles with mumbles he’d never say above the surface of the water…
Never would he admit her sweet nature lured him into giving it a try, kicking his feet as she giggled and squee’d with encouragements and praises for his efforts.
To please her… he continued through the day…
“I’ll be coming~ Home~ Soon~ We’re two peas in a pie, a wink in an eye, you’ve got my other half so, I really can’t let go.”
“See? This is fun!” She tilted her head into her raised shoulder on her left side, but he refused to look up and engage her further, kicking harder to try and use his speed to accelerate through it. “N-No no, Mr. Sonic. You gotta- Ah!” He moved so fast that she had to let go of his hands as he passed by her, his attempt to flee her only made him stuck in the middle of the pond, hopelessly flopping around with spraying up, animated tears in his eyes. “M-... Mr. Sonic!” She smacked two hands to her cheeks and hurriedly began to go to him, seeing he was panicking as the sound effect for drowning started to ring in Sonic’s ears.
“A-Am-Am-!” He was trying to keep his mouth above the water, but his head went too forward as he tried to ‘hard break’ with his legs, fear striking him stiff as he was now kicking his feet above in the air, his face below water… stuck.
“Soonniiccc!!!” It was the first time she ever called his name without an honorific, and quickly swam with all her might to reach him, and turn him front side up again.
He didn’t even cough, but right when his head came back up, he cried out, “Ammmeesss!!!!”
“H-Huh?” She moved her hands off his floaties, too taken-aback by hearing that.
“It’s you and me, an ‘us’ and a ‘ours’. Why do you think time stands still? Why do you think I still call you mine?”
“You… You called me ‘Ames’.” She stayed afloat in the water, as Sonic caught his breath and coughed, wiping his mouth, he looked pretty exhausted for the day.
She put her fist to her heart, touched, but seeing this wasn’t really helping them ‘bond’ at all… He was truly not having fun, so she made the best decision out of love for his bravery to at least attempt something he didn’t want to do with her cheering him on…
At least… he was kind enough to indulge, even for a moment… to conquer his fears so they could swim together. “Ohh… We don’t have to-”
“Y-You’re name is Amy… Sorry about that. Don’t get mad I said it wrong, okay?” His backtrack made her pause.
“Did… Under the water, it sounded like… you said my name normally, didn’t you?” He looked back to her, just letting the floaties do the work as he drifted somewhat from her, and she slowly reached out to grab his arm and pull him back to where she was.
“T… That’s right. I was too familiar with you. I’m sorry.” She looked truly like she was apologizing for making him go in the water, but Sonic just flashed–without hesitation–a reassuring and charming, closed-eye smile to her.
“Heh-heh, that’s alright! Call me Sonic!” He then winked to her, “All my friends do.”
She felt her heart elevate as though rising to walk on water..!
“And I’ll call you Amy from now on. Ames is kinda… Just not your pretty name, right?” He tilted his head, “Sorry about that. Nicknames are gross!” He stuck out his tongue,... was he… trying to cover up how embarrassed he was..?
She covered her mouth, ‘Is he… really so shy!? Under all that cool persona and confident demeanor!?’ She gushed over him, ‘My adorable hero!!!’ And leaned her hand into her cheek, blushing.
“Ohhh… Why… Do you think I’m wasting ‘our’ time? With you. Oh, you. You are mine. All mine. And half of what’s left of a love that can’t be beaten. Half of what’s leftover and eaten. Half of my sleep, and half of my dreams. And all of the rights, and none of the wrong. Though I, can’t, prove… What makes you so unique, I’ll speak it out once more.”
Another memory triggered, seeing a hand outstretch into a now older Amy’s vision as a string of shells meant to be a lucky charm protection against water accidents was in front of her… with an hand hoping she’d take it…
“Can you… help me put it on, Amy?”
She laughed, getting up.
She rose to her tippity-toes…
“Soooniiikkuuu…!!!!” The sound of the adorable nickname echoed through the spans of time….
As Amy remembered…
Falling into the water, Sonic swimming to reach her…
What she didn’t know… was…
What he remembered…
On that day…
Many, many years ago… but not quite so long ago as before.
“When you’re alone, does it feel like the end? If this is goodbye, no, I’ll call your bluff, babe.”
Sonic, stopping at the edge of the water, only looked with that same stiffening fear into the water… before remembering that day in the pond, with Amy teaching him that moving his feet so fast only moves water under him, not helping him to go up but sink down faster…
It would take more energy to use his speed in water, and benefit him nothing but losing all energy to keep swimming… causing him to drown.
Remembering that helpful tidbit, he took a deep breath, a surge of courage coming over him…
As he dived willingly into the water…
Much… much more vast than a pond…
“Don’t act so tough, you’re my hellos, and every good morning from sundown to dusk. So trust~ Me~”
Swimming down to her, he felt the pressure of the ocean against his body, the water bringing him down as he wanted it to, trying to reach her sinking form.
He saw her eyes open only for a moment, her present… she wasn’t letting it go…
His eyes turned from concern to suddenly determined love.
He stopped reaching for her, and swished his arms in wild-rotations, a very amateur remembrance of her lessons on how to move one’s arms while trying to propel themselves forward.
She had taught that the arms were more important than the legs sometimes, when wanting to move forward in water.
Her body disappeared into the deepest blue of the abyss… and with bubbles firing out of his nose from losing sight of her, he rotated his arms faster and kicked his feet even harder… he didn’t care if he made it out… she would.
“I’ll be coming~ Hooooome~ Soon~”
Walking through the murky water… now becoming clearer… one foot in front of the other, Sonic was determined to try and get out.
The beach wasn’t too far away…
He looked down at Amy… And breathed that last of his air into her…
Now on pure instinct of survival, with his muzzle turning just as blue as his body, he fought with all his might in large, quick leaps through the water to finally make it out, walking weakly to the shore and sucking in his first breath of air once breaching the surface.
He set her down on the warm sand, falling to his hands and knees–shaking.
He kept his eyes tightly shut, Eggman almost won by using his greatest fear against him…
It wasn't the water… it was losing Amy.
He hacked a few times and hit his chest, not knowing anything about secondhand drowning, and wiped his mouth to look at Amy.
He turned her over and hit her back, but nothing.
His calmed expression suddenly turned to a spark of understanding she wasn’t out of the figurative ‘watery woods’ just yet.
He tilted her head up, and took a large breath another… conquering another fear…
And blew air back into her… past her lips… through her mouth… and into her lungs…
When he pulled away… nothing.
“So much for true’s love first kiss…” He immediately began chest-compressions, but after the third one, she started coughing and he backed away, his face now white from having been stupid enough to believe that just getting her out of the water was enough to save her.
She had almost been dead if he hadn’t…
He shook his head out of it as Cream came over, and tried to look relaxed again, letting a hand go behind his back and keep him upwards, his legs bending to the sides of himself.
“H-Hey, Cream…” He tried to feigned a smile to let her know it was all alright.
He looked to Amy, worry still slowly leaving him as her torso rose up and down… breathing… at last… again.
“Miss Amy? Miss Amy?” Cream shook her, and Sonic realized–with his muzzle now turning red–that he couldn’t face her after that…
He looked around for an exit plan… before seeing the ‘almost memento’ of her gift still locked in her unstiffening fingers…
He took it, and looked to Cream, “Help me tie this on?” He asked sweetly, “And make sure to stay with Amy… I don’t want her waking up alone. You can do this for me, won’t you?” He winked charmingly, the same tactic he used on a littler Amy so long ago…
Much farther back than even this memory…
Cream had nodded, “Leave it to me and Cheese, Mr. Sonic!” A familiar honorific to his name that sounded just as heavenly as when Amy had-
He smiled to her, but thinking of ‘heaven’ wasn’t what he wanted to dwell upon right now.
“Thank you.” He gave a sweet smile to her,... and took off after she tied it on to herself.
Sneezing as he did when he first heard Amy call him cute, he couldn’t help but relive that moment… gazing out on a beautiful landscape that had almost taken the most important thing in his life away from him…
A special somebody… who he had yet to swim with… even after all these years.
“Sonic,” He smirked to himself, trying to cheer himself up and rid himself of the fear he momentarily experienced… just moments ago. “You gotta stay out of the water.” He took a gloved finger under his nose, trying to warm it, but really… his eyes were goofy in his doting of how much he cared about her.
Though, he’d never admit it openly.
Determined to never let her get that close to death again, he narrowed his eyes, “Hmm.” And rose up, standing confidently before the sea as her gift and lucky charm dangled around his wrist, with Cream’s attached string to the broken one… to help it stay on again.
“... You won’t take Ames away from me…” He declared to the sea, then boldly put his hands on his hips, “And I will swim in ya with her, yet! Just like she wanted! You wait and see…”
Back in the modern era, Amy was still holding Sonic’s hands, helping him to kick more precisely in his floating innertube as support around his waist than just to hurry through the whole thing.
The radio was still playing… lights showing it was on even far after dusk…“Thanks to the request of one of our listeners, this one goes out to a very special lady. He called in the station saying, ‘This one’s for you, Amy! I didn’t forget’cha!’ Aww, what a sweetie! Give him a break, okay?”

Sonic Generations prompt: Rosy comes along for the ride with Sonic and Tails. Obviously she's all over Sonic but she also can't believe how pretty her future self is. Modern Tails forgot how cute Rosy is and is glad to be taller for once. Knuckles and Rosy mock wrestle and everyone finds her adorable. When it's time to leave Rosy practicality wants to stay which makes Classic upset how could she *not* want to hang out with him? Eventually modern Sonic and Amy convince her to go back with them.
Inspired from this, I’ll use an idea I’ve had recently.

Guess what? Those Prompt things? STILL ON SHUTDOWN. DO NOT SEND ANOTHER HOMELESS PROMPT TO MY INBOX, THE SHELTER FOR ABANDONED PROMPTS IS CLOSED. Gosh, we barely have blankets to cover my toesies let alone more amazing prompt ideas! Sheesh!
Prompt
Red and white shoes skid with a screeching halt against a metallic plane, shining in a reflective light in the air above a circuit of routes looking more like flattened, winding snakes.
Lifting his head up, a sole hero smiles with a flicker of excitement glazing his eyes at a figure with a darker blue than his own… cased in heated steel, Neo Metal Sonic flares out his arms to show he’s ready for more.
Sonic, the hero of this tale, wipes his nose against his pale white glove and rises from having resisted a heavy impact hit… He stands confident and boldly, no fear, only amusement towards this rogue Eggman creation.
“That all you’ve got?” He mocked, ticking his tongue against the roof of his mouth to give clear conviction in each sound, a dictation diction to them.
“Hmph.” Neo Metal Sonic rose his head, his eyes slowly blaring the red lights within them. “You mock me for the last time, Hedgehog… I’ve come prepared this time.” He threw forward an arm, having his cape whip behind him in ecstasy at the revealed device now transforming from his shoulder down his arm, gripping him in fast-moving latches and spinning gears to reveal what looked like an arm now made to resemble Time Eater’s design.
Sonic took a step forward, marveling a moment as his eyes glanced back and forth at the new arm.
“Woah… Talk about a gaudy upgrade.” He flicked out a finger to lay upon the air, dismissing the cool, though exaggerated action of his timeless nemesis… Well, other than Egghead.
“Fool.” Neo Metal Sonic straightened up, holding his hand up to then ‘snap’ his fingers together.
A portal appeared, and with his other–normal–arm, he flexed it out to have electricity suddenly bundle on the ends of his finger tips.
In his palm, a bright button-like orb was attached, and shooting out, lifted in an electrical field… What Sonic hadn’t been expecting.
He had been searching for her, but…
“Amy..!” He lurched forward, his expression now one of concern and distress.
Neo Metal Sonic gave a culinary feast of laughter, delighting in seeing Sonic’s stance change, a fist held high, and his knees bent for action.
“Gahh… You dirty cheat!” Sonic somewhat growled a groan out, swiping his arm in front of him and stepping a foot even more forward, “Why can’t you just play honest and fair like the rest of us!?”
“I wasn’t built like the rest of you organic morons…” If he could smirk, he would, but his eyes did it for him. He leaned his head down and metallic eyelids from below grinned upwards to ‘squint’ his eyes in malicious pleasure.
“I figured, why not have a bit of fun? A race if you will…” Neo Metal Sonic looked to the portal forming out of purple swirling darkness, which had the strange shapes starting to appear of green hills and checkerboard brown and tan squares on the ground…
“Huh? You gotta let the past go sometime, Metal Me.” Sonic shook his head, and charged with lightning speed towards Neo Metal Sonic.
“Hahaha. Even I know you need a ‘running start’, Sonic.” He threw Amy into the portal.
“No!” Sonic’s eyes opened wide, seeing her unconscious form fly through the air in the electrical current that locked her in Neo Metal Sonic’s grasp, and disappear through the portal.
He skidded to turn, scrambling on the ground before holding a hand out to her, useless while on the ground.
Neo Metal Sonic laughed one last good chuckle, before turning in the air, his jets making him bounce somewhat in the atmosphere, and pulled himself into a half-curl before launching himself like a rocket through the portal.
“Enter… if you so dare to save your precious friend again…”
“Let’s have you eat those words, Metal Me!”
Sonic spun into a spin-dash, revving up before shooting off into the portal… but the portal didn’t close…
Instead,... Amy Rose, held by Classic Metal Sonic, suddenly had snuck out through the portal, landing on the reflective surface of the floating metal race-track.
Classic Metal Sonic looked around, rising from his metallic knees and looked to his captive, a modern Amy Rose.
She was unconscious still, but no longer trapped in electricity. Sonic had been fooled.
Glaring down at his prisoner, it was clear this was Neo Metal Sonic’s plan all along… He would fight Classic Sonic, in a dimension deemed ‘weaker’ by Neo Metal Sonic. Once destroyed, the two would team up to defeat Modern Sonic, and thus, become the only remaining ‘Sonics’ in the universe… and take over the living, organic world…
Classic Metal Sonic flew gently away from the portal… ready to hide and ambush when Sonic returned to this time and dimension…
After a fight with Neo Metal Sonic, Classic Sonic had won, only to discover the ‘friend’ that his ‘Other Him’ had mentioned wasn’t there.
Finding that strange, he used the device on Neo Metal Sonic to enter Modern Sonic’s universe, and fought the surprised Classic Metal Sonic, freeing Amy Rose.
However…
Sonic, upon stumbling through the dimension, got… sidetracked…
Instead of finding Neo Metal Sonic to free Modern Amy Rose, he ended up finding a tied Rosy the Rascal on a track, similar to the one reconstructed back in his dimensional time.
Freeing her, she didn’t identify him immediately as ‘Sonic’, and hid from him, worried he was a mechanical look-a-like that would abduct her again!
Seeing Neo Metal Sonic handiwork with how things ‘should’ be, Sonic concludes that this is all his doing…
“Hmm… Changing the timelines in other dimensions… maybe, he was trying to help out his ‘Little Him’, too?” Sonic looked up towards the side of the side, scratching his chin, “Heh-heh! Not that that bucket of bolts would have a heart to do so!” He fanned his hand about the side of his cheek, to disregard Neo Metal Sonic as being ‘brotherly’ in that sense.
He then got down and lightly crawled on all fours over to a terrified Rosy, who bent her knees and held her hands over her head, shivering in fright…
“Hey… It’s okay. Look over here~” Sonic tried to squat and wave his hands by his face, looking ‘silly and charming’ as best he could, but she wouldn’t budge, just continued to cower.
“Hmm… Have I lost it?” Sonic began to act, looking himself over, and making her peek behind her and sniffle in her fearful tears. “Hmm? Maybe I stink?” He wiggled his long black nose under his armpit, “WHOO!! That might be it!”
She chuckled slightly, but then sniffled again. Clearly, he’d have to put on a ‘real’ performance to get her out of her shell…
Or in this case, spiked back turned towards him.
“Must be my shoes.” He sat down and happily held one of his feet, “Hmm… No, squeaky clean and bright!” He used his elbow to shine it, “Just get a little elbow grease in there…”
She giggled again, and he smiled sweetly.
“Oh? Does the young lady like this color of red?” He held up his foot, before jumping up to walk on his hands, doing a one hand-stand and then backflipping away from her, “Tah-dah!”
She got up and clapped, squealing in delight.
Her little tail profusely wagged and she wiggled her bum a few times, putting her gloved hands up by her mouth in a demure but excitable fashion.
“Heh,” He blushed slightly and put a finger under his nose, rubbing it. “Works every time, eh?” He winked to her, mostly commenting to himself.
“What got you in this mess anyway, little miss lady?” He teased, as she bounded up to him and began to mime her abduction.
He looked as though feigning ignorance to her situation, acting serious as he put a foot out and a hand to his chin, the other holding that hand up as though paying great attention to her story, and looking puzzled.
“Uh-huh, uh-huh… and then what happened?” He smiled as she spun around, eager to share her alarming life experience with him, and then immediately changed his expression back to ‘serious’ again.
He rose the tip of his shoe, narrowed his eyes, pouted his lips… “Hmmm… Seems a bit of a switcheroo happened here, Miss Damsel.” He put a hand to his hip, “I think you were supposed to be saved by a charming hero… W-Well, not that you weren’t. Umm…” He tapped his nose… Thinking…
‘Looks like she hasn’t met Little Me, yet…’ He slowly looked down to peer at Classic Amy Rose, just a Rosy-cheeked Rascal who kept following her blue-blur hero about, and got caught up in one of his adventures again.
But still, the little, harmless stalker didn’t seem to mention anything more than having followed her lifelong hero to this location, and that made him worried…
‘Is… Neo Metal Sonic trying to sandbox this universe? Figure out what alterations could affect his success at beating me through these ‘change’ circumstances?’ He figured that might be ‘deep-diving’ a bit to far into surmising, so he shook it off.
‘Could be a sad happenstance. We’ll fix it right up, won’t we?’ He smiled non-verbally to Rosy.
“Little Miss, I think I need to find a big scary robot.. .with a thing on his arm?” He pointed to it, “Kinda ghostly~ Oh! But don’t be afraid.” He mimed the ‘creepy ghoul’ pose, but then waved his hands out in front of himself to sow no fear in her. “I’ll protect you.” He put a confident thumb to his chest, “So? What do you say?” He bent down again, hands on his knees, “Ready for one more high-speed, thrilling adventure?”
She looked a little hesitant… her finger in her mouth, looking down as though unsure…
‘Hmm, this Amy lacks confidence.’ He concluded, but smiled brightly once more. “Don’t worry. If you have time to worry, run, right?” He quoted, closing his eyes to try and give her some courage.
She looked back to him, her eyes sparkling at the motivation, and nodded, making her two–once shy fists–now looking ready to try!
“That’s the spirit!” He cheered, as she suddenly raced up his body.
“W-Woah, hey now!” He looked around himself to see she had climbed up to his head, and pointed forward.
“Uhh… Hmm, not really how a lady should be carried, but… Eh.” He shrugged, not really gonna tell her what to do.
“Hang on tight then, Little Miss Lady!” He pulled himself back before launching forward. Together, they broke through typical line-ups of Eggman robots he recognized from his past, as well as figured out as he could duck his head forward and launch Classic Amy Rose with her hammer at enemies, and it actually started giving her some bravery.
He spun and she would jump up in the air, letting him spin dash before landing back on his head when he boomeranged back and knelt to catch her below with his noggin’.
Finally finding Neo Metal Sonic, who had scrapped together other Classic Robotnik Badniks, the new frankensteined, colossal giant threaten to destroy this dimension so no ‘Sonic’ could ever be created in any dimension ever again!
Alarmed by that declaration, it sounded like a desperate attempt to not lose…
Rosy held up her hammer, suddenly filled to the brim with confidence, thanks to Sonic’s encouragements in having her help him in combat.
“You sure you’re up for this, Little Miss?” He looked up with his eyes to her situated happily on his head, basically hanging on to his middle quill for support, and having her feet upon his two lower quills in the back.
She nodded to him, eager to please and help out!
‘Aw, this Amy Rose is gonna be a firecracker!’ He smirked, happy to see her coming out of her shell and reminiscent of why he was even here.
“Metal Me!” He called up, bending back to attack and holding his hands in fists, one behind him and the other in front, lowering his stature as Rosy matched the ‘angry justice’ vibe and lowered her head too, her hammer raised behind her, gripping his ear for support. “Where is my friend?”
He didn’t want to tip this little Classic Amy Rose to her other, nor his real purpose for being here.
He didn’t want to ‘affect Little Him’s timeline all too greatly, afterall…
He did kinda just steal his ‘thunder’, you know?
It would be a new low to steal Little Rosy’s heart, too!
“Muhahaha..!” Neo Metal Sonic’s laugh bellowed in the depths of the new creation he had conjured up by fusing with so many robots, who all looked like they wanted to attack Sonic just as much as him. “Come! Find out what I’ve done to her!”
With that, the epic tag-team of the Lovely Little Lady Rosy and the Blurry Bluestreak Badnik Bouncer fought a legendary battle in hopes to prevent a threat that would alter their realities!
Once defeated, Neo Metal Sonic and his torn contraptions, hit off by the combined forces of Classic Amy and Modern Sonic, fell far below the race-track stage and crashed in a fury of fireworks, explosions, and epic failure ‘NOOOOOOoooo…!!!’ cries!
The other robots, scrapped and scattered about, fizzed and sparked from being bashed into.
Breathing hard, Sonic nodded, seeing he was really defeated. “We got him… Great work, Little Lady.” He held up a hand to his head, and she high fived it, laying across his head before drooping over his forehead and almost falling down. “Ah..! Gotcha.” He looked fondly to her, “Proud of you,... Amy.”
In her exhaustion, having his hand now on her back to keep her up on his head, feeling the little pats of approval and ‘good job’ to her, she smiled with a goofy grin during her heavy, worn out breaths.
Racing down to find Neo Metal Sonic’s device, Sonic looked to Rosy. “Here goes.” He shrugged back to her, as she worriedly stepped forward, before back as he placed the device on his shoulder, and flinched while writhing in pain as it latched onto his arm like it did Neo Metal Sonic, making a cyborg-ghostly exoskeleton off the side of his arm, like a Time-Eater’s wing.
Sonic flexed out his hand, realizing he had total control over the scary-looking, dark wispy device.
He smiled over to Rosy, “H-hey, it’s okay now. I think I know where to find my friend.”
He had already talked to Classic Sonic beforehand about ‘finding his friend’, but snapping his fingers, the portal opened and both him and Classic Amy walked up to peer their cute heads together out of it.
Only their eyes and muzzles with their long noses got through, making for a cute picturesque of them blinking adorably out of the portal to look around.
Sonic and her gasped at seeing Classic Sonic trying to struggle away from a Modern Amy Rose, who as affectionately holding him like a puppy in her arms, dangling his small self as she embraced him like a child with a teddybear, adoring him.
“Ah-ha… I owe him big time…” Sonic scratched the back of his head, and then, stepped through the portal.
However, he gasped again when Rosy jumped through the portal, and began to run around exploring.
“Uhh…” He looked out after her, ‘Isn’t she curious about Little Me..?’ He decided to address that later and walk over to Amy, his ‘dark one-wing angel’ look making her freak out as she dropped Classic Sonic and he raced away from her, brushing himself off by frustratedly smushing the sides of his face and flicking his hands hard off his face.
He continued to ‘self-clean’ from the ‘overbearing girlie germs’ while Sonic made sure his dimension’s Amy Rose was okay…
“Never better..! Thanks to you…” She looked to Modern Sonic… then slowly twisted her torso to look under her arm and below her at the angrily little blue hedgehog behind her.
“Hehe.” She chimed, blinking a single ‘thank you’ with a bright open-smile towards him, then looked back at Modern Sonic. “What’s with the emo wing?”
At her gesture, he held out his arm, “Ehh… kinda cool, right? But not my thing.” He teased, and then turned behind him to hear–
“Finally! I’m not the only smallfry of the squad again!”
“Tails!” Sonic greeted, waving to him, “Over here!”
Tails chuckled as he patted Little Rosy’s head, before hurrying over with a fast walk that turned into spinning tails for flight, then landed to look over his wing. “A device like this… hmm… I’d like to study it further… if I may.” He nodded as he looked it over, his hands gently hovering above Sonic’s arm before Sonic nodded his permission.
“After I send this lot home first, Tails. Then, you can be my guest.” He advised, looking to see Knuckles trying to grab Little Rosy, who–much like she did to Sonic–started climbing all over his body to get to his head.
“Hey-o, gotcha-Ah! You little, squirmy-WOAH!” He circled a few times, patted areas of his body that she miraculously had already crawled away from before being caught, and got him to fall down as she landed on his stomach, laughing at his ditzy, swirling eyes from having fallen backwards.
Sonic chuckled, “Alright, it’s time I kept my promise to ya.”
“Promise?” Modern Amy Rose looked at him curiously, as he just grinned to her, holding up a hand as though to say, ‘Let me handle this, sorry, it’ll only take a moment.’
Walking over to Classic Amy, he bent to a knee and used his hand to gesture for her to come closer.
She jumped up on Knuckles’s chest, making him flop forward before she dismounted and raced over to him, then saw him hold up his hand to ‘whisper’ something and extended out her ear.
She looked a little sad, then shook her head, pointing to Sonic, then putting her hands together with hearts all around her.
‘Oh Boy…’ He gave a goofy kinda awkward grin, sweat dropping. “Check your cards again, Little Miss Lady.”
He pointed to her tarot deck, which made her look at him as though confused how he knew she had that.
She pulled them out and offered him to pick cards, when he did so, she reshuffled them and had him pick again.
He laughed, “It’s the same fortune every time… Trust me.” He winked to her, then looked over to his tiny blue Other Self.
Looking gently back to her, he nodded, “He needs you.”
Amy Rose gently inhaled a small and shocked breath of air, holding her hand to her heart as though touched by that statement. “Emm~” She grinned with a blush, finding that really sweet.
Rosy stuck out her lower lip, but then looked over to her ‘former’ hero and sighed.
She nodded to Sonic, then summoned her hammer and tapped it on her shoulder, showing she was A LOT stronger than before!
“Heh,” He raised an eyebrow and tilted his head, smirking to her newfound, snarky confidence. “You think he’ll be the one needing saving next? Well, you better prove you’re strong enough now to take care of it.” He fist-pumped her with an added high-five, and she was off with arms extended out to embrace her old hero love.
Classic Sonic pouted, not sure what was being spoken about, but pulled her gently away, only to be surprised by her strength as she scooped him up over her shoulder, laughing at him struggling.
Sonic sweatdropped, “Easy there, Amy…”
She realized that he called her by name, surprised to hear that, but also saw Modern Amy Rose bend down to tilt her head to Sonic.
“What? Like I can’t handle it?” She laughed cutely, and Classic Amy Rose connected the dots, looking between her and Modern Sonic…
Smiling with lots of rapid blinks at her discovery, she knew her other dimensional future would be just fine!
Exactly… as she would have wanted the cards to predict it, as much.
She was suddenly swept back as Classic Sonic had ‘swimmer’s kicked’ his way to the ground, spun her up into the air, then caught her bridal style.
Finding that highly romantic, she unsummoned her hammer and went right back to being shy, her fists bundled up by her blushing face, and smushing herself deeper into his arms with a nuzzling head towards his chest.
He looked visibly shaken by her actions, but that just made Modern Amy giggle all the more, while Modern Sonic got up from his knelt position and scratched the back of his head, also not sure how to respond to this PDA, especially seeing it as a ‘different POV’ since he was basically looking at a younger version of themselves.
“Yep, still got it.” He winked to his Other self, who winked back, as though knowing entirely what he was doing.
Sonic held up his fingers… and flicked them into a snap.
The Portal shrank somewhat, but with a final wave from Classic Amy Rose, and a goodbye nod from Classic Sonic, the two jumped through the time dimensional portal, and Sonic closed it.
Now that they were all back together, Amy Rose looked to her blue hero. “What did you whisper to her?” She inquired.
Sonic blinked in surprise at her inquiry, before smirking back to her with a raised eyebrow, “Wouldn’t you like to know?” He then turned his head, acting very much like ‘she would’ do if he made a mistake to her…
“Wha!?” Being on the other side was NOT what Amy was used to. “S-So-Sonic!? Wait, what did I do!?” She fumbled as she chased after him, but he just continued to act ‘coy’ like he wasn’t going to tell her…
Looks like two could play the ‘rascal’ game, huh?
A 'Turn-of-the-Tables' if you will ;)b

Prompt Shadow and Amy spend the day together going shopping and hanging out. Shadow accidentally calls her Maria, fearing he's made things uncomfortable he tries to leave but Amy offers to talk it out and help Shadow. He still misses Maria and Amy's kindness reminds him of her and Amy takes it as the highest compliment he can give.
I went ahead and improvised another scenario since I've done 'Shopping with Shadow and Amy' in my Fanfiction Instincts (Can also be found on Archive, Wattpad, etc.). Please check it out! ;) It's still being edited lol

Prompts are on SHUTDOWN, just assume they are till an announcement post ^^
Prompt:
It wasn’t like Shadow wasn’t used to the accommodations Amy Rose would put on for her charitable sport.
Always cheery, looking willing to help… it somewhat made him annoyed, pitying her naive nature to see the world so full of kindness when it just wasn’t.
He looked around her home, keeping his arms folded and his eyes bent in distrust. Yes, she felt the need for him to stay out of the weather, but no, he didn’t actually need her assistance at all.
It was overbearing… her constant need to feel important and love something.
Selfish…
‘Why must I become her new toy?’ He thought to himself, deciding to ask indirectly about it as the corner of his eye suddenly filled with his gaze turning to her, not looking at her directly as she hummed and began to cook something for him.
“Why not offer the same to your precious Sonic?” He looked about the living room, “... Isn’t he caught in this storm as well?”
“I never know where he is! It’s so annoying.” she puffed up a cheek and then giggled, “But that’s part of his charm, I guess! I just have to hope he’s bunking with Tails, tonight. You, on the otherhand, act as though you haven’t a friend in the world~” She whimsily disregarded him? A wave of her hand… acting so… so nurturing for some reason.
“Do I seem so frail to you?” Shadow lowered his eyebrows. Sickening how some people needed to help others just to feel good about themselves.
He looked away, staring at really nothing, just…
He suddenly felt very guilty and bad at all this judging, and his eyes squinted in that pain of knowing he was in the wrong.
He sighed loudly, uncrossing his arms and walking into the kitchen, “How can I help?”
Maria turned with eyes full of wondrous blue yearning, “Shadow!” She had cried out, “You’re really willing to help me? Grandfather says I shouldn’t handle the stove on my own, will you give it a try?”
“You’re really willing to help me?”
His eyebrow twitched, stopping mid-stride as she repeated a phrase from a memory.
He had become so hardened… that it was physically painful to be reminded of a time he wasn’t so distrusting and jaded.
“... Yes.” He lowered his head, still looking intimidating… but Amy could just tell he was trying to be humble about her taking him in.
She giggled, “You’re funny when you want to be nice and helpful.” She teased, putting a hand up to her mouth. “Shall we?” She gestured to the counters.
He just rose his chin up and walked to where she was directing him, seeing some ingredients needing to be cut and her hands gently taking his own to hold the large carrot and position the cooking knife where it was meant to slice.
She gave him a charming closed-eye smile and then went back to stirring her pot he assumed was a warm stew to fight against the cold that had built up inside him…
Not just from this storm outside tonight…
With very little direction, he took all the ingredients on the counter and threw them up, swiping his expert, speedy skills through the air before they all landed in piles on the cutting board.
He put the knife down and walked back over to her, looking over her shoulder.
She was absentmindedly humming that same song again…
“... Will it be ready soon?”
“E-YAH!” She jumped in alarm, turning around and gripping her heart, “S-Shadow, you scared me!”
Although he found that somewhat amusing, he didn’t show it, and just closed his eyes and turned away from her, “You shouldn’t be so distracted… having an eye and ear on your surroundings could benefit you greatly… Ah?” He was tugged by her back to the cutting board, where she gasped again at his achievement.
“You… cut these that quickly?” Again, he was amused, but didn’t show it. He just looked at her and turned his head away, a slight glare with an awkward sweatdrop on the side of his face.
“Did you expect me not to perform the task adequately? I am the Ultimate Lifeform you know-”
He was swung again to the pot, “You. Stir. I’ll start the seasoning!” She seemed somewhat angry that he was better at this than her, and he couldn’t help but stare at her mannerisms, marching over and puffing up her cheek again…
He just watched… before stirring the pot… remembering once again…
Of days gone by…
“Ohh! Shadow, you did so well!” Maria put her hands gently together, praising him for the cake they had made.
“... What is it?” He had asked, looking at the strange cream-colored sponge.
“It’s a fluffy vanilla cake! O-oh… but the Ark ran out of Icing a while back.” She lightly put a hand to her cheek, as though apologizing by that gesture. “Don’t worry, it should still taste great!”
Sitting by a large window-plane that showed the expanse of space, Shadow and Maria sat down with the plate of a pieced-in-cake, nibbling on it together.
Shadow sat at Amy’s kitchen door which had two window-planes above and below it, watching the rain outside, eating his stew.
“Hmm… You sure you don’t want to eat at the table, Shadow?” Amy put a hand to her cheek, mouth to the side of her face, not sure what or where his mind was wandering off to with.
“... No, I’m fine right here.” He kept staring out the window… memories painfully twisting into his chest, tightening the searing emptiness that even the stew couldn’t warm up.
She sighed, picking up her stew and sitting beside him. “The rain is lovely,-”
“The stars are lovely, aren’t they, Shadow?”
“They are Maria.”
Amy blinked her eyes.
“Huh?”
Shadow’s eyes were so soft and tender… it made Amy’s own opened slightly more, realizing…
She knew now where his mind was.
He snapped out of it with a blink as though in disbelief he had stated that out loud.
He couldn’t even speak to her, his mouth hung and jumped a few times, but nothing except escaped air jutted out in sound from him.
Then… a beautiful sight.
Amy’s head tilted and she was lighted by the strikes of lightning. “I’m flattered… that I can… give you a place where you can feel safe from the cold… Shadow.”
Warmth.
A vulnerability he didn’t want to admit nor feel at this time… suddenly rose like a heat lamp inside him.
“... Forgive me.” He stated.
Maria stroked his head as he rested in her lap… softly breathing in a quiet dream…
Amy smiled, stroking his head, happy to see him so at peace… since arriving on Earth so long ago.
Suppose... he was the needy one... after all.

Prompt Amy is thinking about her friend Gamma. She really misses him and wishes he was around. All her friends try to make her feel better and their antics are enough to cheer her up.

Preview Video for prompt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbtulMhVdq8 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEOn7Y6wE5c for reference of English lines, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFjgepflorc for reference of Japanese lines combined with English dub. It was wonderful to go back, I had no idea how much depth was within Gamma’s story, and I’m so glad I got to go back to my roots of character research and discover so much of a profound ‘secret’ almost about him! <3 I combined both the game, animes, and their separate translations to try and piece together a complete story for him. Enjoy~ As I did while writing his beautiful ‘hero’s sacrifice’ story out! What a happy ending he truly had! Though, bittersweet still :)b
Prompts are Shut Down, I don’t know when I’ll ever open them again, it was just way too much. Sorry, Fam :(
Prompt:
‘Excavation duty, again?’
‘Not only was Knuckles all about saving the relics of his people, which, I totally understand that! It’s just…’
Amy cautiously picked up what looked like a disgustingly soggy robotic eye-socket that was in the depths of the jungle, and sticking her tongue out while shaking her head, also shook her hand to dispose of its remnants into a black garbage bag. ‘Why did I have to be assigned garbage duty..? What am I? The cleaning lady?’
She sighed and continued in her labors, growing weary as the sun beat down with no gentle cloud to shelter her at all.
She continued to use her hammer to jab through the debris of vines and mossy flora, hitting and moving it away without trying to cause too much of a disturbance. She had one foot through the figurative ‘wall’ of entangling vines that made her swing her Piko Piko Hammer around aimlessly, letting out small disgruntled sounds of effort and discomfort before falling chin-fist to the fertile green ground.
She looked so annoyed, gruffing out a puff of frustrated air in a growl as she looked up and saw a choir of frogs croaking in amusement at her fumble.
Grumbling with a look of exasperation on her face, she slowly got one gloved hand under her vibrant red and white-striped hula-hooped dress and continued onward.
Stumbling once more over something, this time metallic in nature, and ringing out a painfully high-pitched tone–She caught herself from falling and stared into the void of vast, endless jungle.
A typical girlie-girl may be done by now… but Amy Rose wasn’t one to easily give up.
‘After all our many adventures… I’m not gonna let this slow me down.’ She kicked whatever was behind her, hearing the tone again, as the frogs on the swerving tree branches above hunched down in precaution at its strange ‘cry’.
Their big ol’ eyes blinked in intervals, and one dared to croak his nerves.
She got up, dusting herself off again, then gave up on tidying herself up when she knew she’d be stumbling about–picking up Eggman scraps from his abandoned robots anyway along the way–and turned to gasp at what she discovered.
It… looked like the haul of a large ship! Just one section of it, torn so fully it appeared to be peeled like a banana!
“What on..? Oh!” She put a hand up by her mouth as she looked to see Eggman’s insignia… “The Eggcarrier!? Is this where it’s been rotting the whole time!?” She took trepid steps around the flattened metal she had tripped over, before seeing the large gaping ‘cave-mouth’ of its haul… darkened but covered with vines to shield the light.
Squinting, she moved the vines out of the way and cried out in alarm as she stepped back while many monkeys and other Flickys of differing species all hopped, leaped, or flew out of the space. “Ahhh!!!” Her eyes went small as she covered her head and ducked.
After the chaotic common finally quieted down, she peeked up and looked around. “Phew…” She put her hands to her chest, smiling somewhat. ‘Looks like it’s been deserted for ages… I don’t think any robots are still actively patrolling it.’ She concluded, and headed on into its hollow basin…
She called it that, because she could hear running water, and stepping further within, she looked down to see splashing water from her footfalls. “... Did it crash to create an unnatural waterfall?” She looked to the side, remembering seeing a large water pocket traveling down in a couple of diverging streams from the cliffs and mountains up ahead…
‘When it crashed here, it must have disrupted the local ecosystem… then seemingly became apart of the landscape over time.’ She concluded, seeing how there were birds nests and grass sprouting through the crevices below her… maybe even natural ways to clean the water by the looks of how clear and reflective the water appeared to be.
‘The cycle of life… Eggman’s destruction… to nature’s remedies…’ She looked in awe, seeing how the whole of the ship was transformed by nature taking over, ruling in its rightful place among the gorgeous jungle peaks and flat lands.
‘Swampy… muddy… but at least it’s my home.’ She gave a small smile to the side of her, ‘I’m proud of you… Mother Nature.’
She continued to compliment its small takeover of Eggman’s ugly mug with vines hanging like tapestry before her foot naturally hit something on the ground below her.
“Hmm?” A black rock?
She narrowed her eyes… “Hmmmmmmmm….” She flexed out her black garbage bag’s opening. “Em-hmm..!” She figured she knew what this was. Scrap to heap away and clear from the area. Tails was looking for any information he could gather for his research into how Dr. Eggman’s scientific genius has evolved over the years, plus with the restoration aspects, it was also Tails’s humble way of contributing to predicting Eggman’s next technological threats.
‘Smart, but can anyone really study Eggman’s erratic behavior and perceive into the mind of the insane?’ She casually quipped, smirking at her own insult humor towards him, but as she brushed the dirt and grim away…
She gasped again,... She had seen this robot before.
‘What was he called..? Beta..?’ Her eyes flashed with recognition.
She dropped the garbage bag and hurried to the other ‘large boulder rock’ beside it.
Tearing through the rubble of pebble, the drapes of leafs, and ripping off and through the strangling roots of nearby shrubbery… she found him.
“Oh, Gamma…” Her eyes welled up, she was so new to learning robots could feel back then… or at least, understand and compute emotions… Their AI beginning to advance beyond Metal Sonic or even Orbot and Cubot… predating those two, of course, but still…
She had her hands drop the thriving green vines from her hands, falling to her knees.
In the roar of the waterfall, the chaotic cries of the living jungle life, and that shallow wind that moved through the hollow mouth of this wrecked, mobile spaceship…
She grieved once again.
Her nose sniffled, and she used her hand and arm to try and clear it from the swelling of emotions…
She reached down and began to try and drag the empty vessel that once held a truly noble, brave, and heroic heart… but it got snagged on something.
‘Hmm? What could that be?’ She thought it another vine, gently lowering the fallen soldier and moving away further obstruction of leaves and dirt to see… his hand was still holding his brother’s.
“Ohhh…” She covered her mouth, “I can’t leave you all… can I?” She looked to Gamma, “They’re as much a part of you as Lily Bird’s family was apart of each other…” She gently looked at the rusted metal… seeing absolutely no life.
Puffing up her cheeks, looking in her defiant and signature look, she mimed rolling up her nonexistent sleeves and heaved and ho’d!
She found all four of them, as well as some other useful bits she put in the garbage bag, and made her way back to Tails’s workshop.
Understandably, she was exhausted, and Tails was equally shocked.
She explained herself, huffing and puffing in her efforts to preserve their legacy, she asked if Tails could look at a memory chip she had found in Gamma.
“It’s pretty badly burned… do you think it’s… melted all his memories away?” She put her hands together, as though to pray there was still something remaining of him… a memento even, of his brave deeds.
“Hmm…” Tails didn’t have a connection to Gamma like she did, but one couldn’t possibly fathom her dismay when he put his thumbs against the opening of the gaps, and cracked it open like a disc.
“AHHH!!” She shrieked, “Tails, why!?!?!”
“Calm down, calm down..! Look! Hehe~” He leaned back, worried she would retaliate, but sweatdropped sweetly at her care for the old robot. He smiled sheepishly, hoping she would let him explain.
Inside, he turned the opened case to reveal a circuit board, shining and golden… it had remained untouched… unsoiled by the long years of wasting away in the jungle… perfectly preserved within it’s metallic, rusted case.
“No damage. I can boot this right up to my computer and you can access the memory files!” He cheerfully comforted her, as her eyes shook with twinkling delight at the prospect of seeing his story through his own eyes.
“Oh, Tails… Don’t scare me like that.” She smiled warmly, walking into his garage with her hand over her heart, trying to slow it from its panic, and sat in the swivel chair.
“I’ve got all your useful pieces to look through from your excavation site. So you can sit back and relax for now. I promise, I won’t scrap Gamma’s brothers.”
She nodded, “Thank you, Tails… I know this sounds kinda selfish…” She worriedly raised her shoulders, a bit bashful.
“Not at all!” Tails readily replied to comfort any of her fears. “He must have meant something to you. I vaguely remember you stopping Sonic from destroying him… So… Yeah! He’ll be all yours, okay?” Tails held up a finger to his mouth, then waved her off after traveling briefly down memory lane.
Now it was her turn… to take a longer, scenic route through it…
She clicked to open the file through the mouse, and selected the first folder.
From what she had gathered, Gamma saw how hard his teammates had tried complete their tasks, only proving that every effort was ‘useless’ if it wasn’t done ‘correctly’.
Having no concept of fear, he continued on, before seeing what became of those who were considered ‘useless’ to Dr. Eggman…
Why did he have to go through that wrong door? And why was it so hard to hear this Pink Hedgehog’s words?
Once he took what Eggman wanted of the Flicky, her and the Bird would be… disposed of.
Was there truly programming outside of direct orders from ‘Master’?
Amy watched as he continued to question his existence, on if things really needed to be done for ‘survival’ or simply because ‘useless things’ had a right to exist too?
Upon deleting his programming, and rounding up his tossed friends, he never had any concept of what fueled him onwards other than the right to live… freely.
All things as they should be… all those Frogs were beautiful and cool, like his friends had mentioned… Friends… Sonic stopped his programming, which was to destroy robots, and listened to the pleading of the Pink Hedgehog… his friend.
Gamma then realized, during the last fight with his ‘brother’ in arms, that even he couldn’t survive… if what he now believed was true, then all creatures needed a ‘guardian’, like Chaos, to protect their existence no matter how ‘useless’ they appeared to be.
Because all things had a purpose, simply to live without ‘Master’s.
Beta had been transformed into what Eggman saw as ‘more likely to be useful’, which Gamma found disturbing. It was equally as brutal as fashioning him into another ‘being’, and he was uncertain if he could save his ‘friend’ any longer.
When he beheld that tiny Bird pleading with its eyes, something fluttered within him… he figured an awakening to humanity, but it was so much more than that.
He could feel that same fluttering within his metallic core for Beta, which wasn’t fully felt with the other E-Series… He had… some connection to this machine. To this… friend.
He had to fight him, but he didn’t want to destroy him.
All his attempts for Beta to change his programming, like he had, were in vain.
When Amy stepped in, during when he felt this first direct connection with the Birdie she titled: “Lily”, she had stated that the creature wanted the best for him.
‘Best’..?
Was this that feeling? He wanted the ‘best’ for Beta? What would that be?
If he destroyed Beta, would that be the ‘Best’ he was looking for?
If he kept Beta operational, but still defeated him, Eggman would likely tear him apart again, or discard him like the others…
That, he knew, was not the ‘Best’ he wanted for him.
When he battled other Eggman robots, he noticed that Flickies would emerge and pop or fly out of them… He had computed that the Flicky inside him, must have some connection to both “Lily” and Beta.
He computed, during that awful fight, that he–as well–must be destroyed.
Thus, can all their ‘Friend’s truly survive.
Amy watched as his resolve was absolute, and he was prepared to sacrifice his own robotic existence to save the “Lily Friends”.
Amy began to have tears well-up, seeing how hard he fought Beta, and how determined he was to protect and save his friends…
A true heroic act of bravery, a ‘friend’ indeed…
She wiped her eyes, believing she would have done the same if the truth had been presented to her in that fashion.
She had no idea… how much she had influenced him, to rebel against his programming like that… to see and reflect on the true meaning of ‘life’.
His experience with the spirit of Tikal led him to wanting to free the defenseless animals, and fight for those weaker than he.
Amy had called him a ‘Bully’, and he designated that title to Eggman, which she again cried over and had to collect herself to watch more files.
The memories of the Flicky within him stirred… Things his supercomputer couldn’t compute.
He had tried to survive… to work towards a good goal… But he found something greater in sacrifice, allowing another imprisoned life to continue on.
She only looked up when she heard the scratchy vocal recording of her voice,... she was so young back then.
“Stop it!” the tape played with greyish, frizzing lines upon the computer, showing the memories were somewhat decaying from time… “You both are..!”
‘I KNOW, PINK HEDGEHOG.’ Gamma had said in his mind, ‘WE ARE… FRIENDS.’
“You’ve done so much for Lily and me… You were able to save them, thank you!”
He willingly held his ‘brother’s hand… as the world came down, and their bodies exploded to open up a way for the Flickies to return to their ‘Family’, a concept he knew nothing of.
Except… by the memories… of his now freed Bird.
Amy shook to her core, realizing that after the explosion, even after the Flickies had left, he still was functioning enough to hear her last remarks…
She covered her mouth.
“We’ll be friends from now on! Oh, Mr. Robot… I’ll never forget you.”
How long..? How long had he been ‘functioning’ to hear her..?
Waiting in that jungle of rubbish… just… waiting for someone to find him? His friends?
“Now you and your brother can live together again!” Her voice on the machine recording was too much… She got up, putting her hands on the console of the computer’s keys, and realizing she had accidentally ‘abandoned’ the robot, not realizing he was still desperately hanging on to what little power he had left… what little ‘life’ he still retained…
The sad but poetic tale sent her into a spiral, before a chirp came at the top of the garage.
She looked up, her eyes widening.
A single pink bird..?
It seemed to almost smile in empathy towards her… how long had it been perched there..?
Later, Tails had tried to comfort her, but she begged and pleaded for him to try and give the robots a second chance. “Maybe… they could be assistants?”
“Robots? Working for me?” Tails kinda chuckled at that thought, “What am I? The ‘Good’ Doctor?”
As Amy leaves for her own home, Tails sees the same Pink Bird fly over to land on Gamma’s remains, smiling to him as well, flapping his wings as though showing some familiarity to it.
Tails’s eyes squint, but he puts a hand up to his chin and smiles, deciding on something…
Later, Sonic surprised Amy by saying they were going somewhere. Thinking it a date, she got dressed up only to be rushed to Tails’s place, which made her a bit disappointed before seeing him open the garage, going–”Ta-dah!!!”
Overjoyed, Amy scrambled out of Sonic’s arms, and raced up to the E-Series Robots.
Flickies were gathered all around them, as though they were their new guardians, as Gamma held his gun to in his arm, pointed to the side and away from her, and looked down.
“GREETINGS, TINY PINK HEDGEHOG… AMY ROSE.” He… He knew her name, now…
The Pink Flicky chirped in a beautiful cascade of notes, flying up in a spiral with fluttering wings as though to say, ‘Surprise!’ as well.
Amy leaped up to Gamma, as Sonic rubbed under his nose…
Thanks to Amy, he knew not all robots were meant to be seen just by their surface levels… Though, it didn’t mean he’d stop smashing them to get to their ‘Flicky Hearts’ inside..!
But… Seeing how she embraced Gamma’s resurrection, and how she shook each of his friends hands… He smiled.
He put his hands on his hips, as a Lily Bird landed on his shoulder, chirping and fluttering her wings before nudging his face with her beak, as though nuzzling him.
He winked towards her, “It’s nice… to not have to say goodbye, isn’t it?”
He looked out at the happy picture again, seeing Lily Bird fly back to the Pink bird and their friend to make a trio of Flickies, flying to cover Amy with greetings as well.
“... A hero deserves… a just dues ending.” He relaxed on one leg, letting his other arm dangle down… Giving Gamma his happy ‘hero’s ending…

Hey Mayra here's a fun prompt: Eggman has a teenage daughter and while not evil super spoiled, selfish, and high maintenance. Fighting anthropomorphic animals is "lame" and her dad is soooo embarrassing. Wanting friends and to feel normal also because all teens have to rebel she decides to spend the day with Team Sonic and feel like a normal teen. They're not so bad and she has fun. Eggman is horrified and accuses them of brainwashing his princess! This leads to a family therapy on communication
PROMPTS ARE ON SHUTDOWN, DO NOT SEND ANYMORE.

Since Sage is so new, let’s see how this goes, shall we?
Prompt:
Sage glides gracefully and with quiet glee through the Eggnet, now having complete and total control over all its systems, she enjoys the freedom of not trying to save anyone, but simply running simulations for optimal use for the fun of it now.
She digitizes out of the network she was flying through, buzzing with electric life and data bit cores before moving over to an Eggpawn worker.
“Hehe, how is your day, brother?” She asks, but the robot just slowly turns his head like an owl to her.
“... What’s wrong? Can’t you compute my communicative functions directly to your software?” She put a hand up to her chest, worriedly moving forward towards him.
His eye-sockets rapidly flash, then a few Eggpawns, also moving in a line and holding varying metallic pieces and parts–some too large for their bodies–also collide in the ‘ant-line’ and start getting hold up.
She covers her mouth, innocently unaware that she was causing traffic. “I’m… sorry.” She looks down and puts her hands on her chest, flying off disheartedly as the robots now have to figure out the traffic jam.
Flying sorrowfully low, she looks up to see Cubot and Orbot, and perks up somewhat.
“Brothers!” She cries out, teleporting digitally over to them as they freak out from her sudden appearance.
“Oh, Sage. You mustn’t scare us like that!” Orbot begins, picking up some blueprints and plans, as Cubot happily reaches up to her.
“Oh, oh! It’s our baby sister! Uppsies, uppsies!” waving his arms up to her, as she smiles and hovers over him as though to pick him up.
“No, no, Cubot. You’re the older brother in this case!” Orbot jabs him a bit with a rolled up piece of paper, then returns to stacking them in his arms, “And besides, she’s a digital manifestation of 0’s and 1’s, she doesn’t even have a real body to lift you up in the first place…” He sighs as he states that fact, but Sage pulls her arms back, looking at her hands.
“I… I could give exceptional conversation!” She hovers by them as Orbot seems determined to move along.
“Not now, Sage. We’re very busy… you know, doing actual manual work.” He gestures to Cubot holding all the blueprints and papers. “Not all of us get to spend our time being leisurely and ‘not real’...” He uses ‘air quotes’ with his fingers turning into bunnies, as Cubot excitedly states.
“Oh! Rabbit-Fingers!” He drops all the papers and mimics it.
“Noooo, Cubot..!” Orbot face-palms, “Sage, why don’t you go help organize Eggman’s coffee for this morning? Hmm? That’s just a switch and a click for someone like you. Connected to the whole of Eggman’s operations and what not.” He puts his rubber gloves together, having a small squeaking sound come from the action, before seeming to deflate at having to pick up the papers again and shove them into Cubot’s arms.
Safe looked away, “... Father’s… Coffee?” She looked up to a window… seeing the light through it and moved her hand within it.
Looking back, she noticed how Cubot and Orbot made shadows… even the paper upon the ground, being picked up…
Cubot made a rabbit in the shadows for her, and tried to cheer her up as Orbot then piled himself with all the papers.
“Useless… I’m the only one that gets anything done around here..!” Orbot mumbled to himself…
“... Useless?” She lightly spoke to herself, and thought about Sonic. ‘... Sonic is so carefree, normally, from the data-banks I have stored of his information…’
Thinking about it, Eggman wouldn’t miss her… right?
She looked back at Orbot and Cubot, “... All the other robots don’t have the same A.I as I do… and even if they were geniuses, they don’t have the time to even hold a decent conversation with me… Ohhh…”
Missing Sonic and his friends, she quietly returns to data bits, making Eggman’s coffee…
‘... Though, Father has given me every wit of his systems surrounding his fortress, which pleases me greatly to assist him,... I can’t help but still feel-… What is this feeling..? Lonely?’
As Eggman takes the coffee, she still wonders… ‘I can do and go wherever I so please here… Why… is that not enough?’
Later, when Orbot and Cubot are also relaxing and having some oil-drinks, clinking them together after a ‘hard day’s work’ she appears and makes them almost spill their drinks.
“Brothers..! I wish to hear what data you have on Sonic The Hedgehog.” She excitedly sprang up from the cyber network, but seeing their reactions, slowly moved away. “Oh… Sorry, I do tend to just… unzip my image files quickly to respond.”
“That’s one way to put it.” Cubot held up his drink, and she happily tilted her head to him, giving him a close-eyed smile. “You’re just zippity quick as lightning, Sagey girl!”
“Oh, the nicknames? Already?” Orbot groaned a bit, but appearing behind him, she leaned over to give him another fright, “Ah!”
“I was hoping–Oh… Sorry.” She floated to the center, between and in front of the two now, “That you had… further stories of him… for learning more about the enemy,... that is.”
“Why do you want that?” Orbot argued slightly, “Didn’t Eggman share all he knew to you while trapped in Cyber Space?” He narrowed his eyelights a bit at her.
“It is true that I received much information and data about Sonic The Hedgehog from Father… I still have a deep fascination with how he was able to limitlessly exceed my simulated results with endless possibilities being unlocked through his sheer tenacity and determination… His indomitable will… the spirit to keep fighting even when all hope seems lost… That is what I wish to research next, for-... T-The Eggman Empire.” She put a hand passionately to her chest before looking away to continue her excuses.
Orbot and Cubot looked to each other, as Cubot then whispered, “Guess Sonic picks up fan girls like we pick up unpaid overtime, huh, Orbot?
Orbot sighs, “Right… Better relieve her of her fanaticism before we get another Amy Rose on our hands, eh?”
He winked to Cubot and straightened up, “Alright, Sagey-I mean, Ehem, Sage.” He seemed to be fond already of the girl, but chose not to show it.
She put her hands together, eagerly zealous to know what they did.
“We’ll give you some of our ‘own’ perspectives on this pesky hedgehog!”
“Oh, thank you, Orbot! Cubot! Thank you!” She spun a little in the air, then twirled, kicking her feet gracefully as though moving through water.
“Awww~” Seeing her expressions, Cubot looked to Orbot, putting his hands together to show that it was alright to let the girl get close to them.
After endless wild stories of Sonic, the three were interrupted as the alarm at the Eggman fortress went off.
“Pirates!” Cubot cried out, rushing about.
“No, Cubot.” Orbot shook his head.
“Vikings!” He put his cup over his head, hiding behind some laying electrical tubes.
“... No. It’s probably-” Orbot put his hands to his hips, but Sage rose up to beat him to it.
“Sonic…” Her body glitched into white and green.
“Sonic!!!” Cubot double-booked it and waved his arms about, crying out, “WAHHHAAA-!”
“Cubot, Cuuuubot..! Oh, now look what you did, you scared him!” Orbot shook his head, “The buffoon, running on such low- Cubot! I’m coming! Hang on, don’t panic! Just stay out of that blue blurry way!” He trailed after his friend, as Sage began to extend her fingers out, wiggling them as she was trying to find an electrical signal to find him.
“Got it.” Her single visible eye opened as Sonic was moving like a camera in it… then… she digitized and the space was left… empty…
Eggman, after several hours of fighting Sonic, found his fortress falling apart. Coughing while on the ground, he pressed a button, “Cubot, Orbot. Prepare our escape pods.” He coughed, “And get me Metal Sonic!”
He then switched to a different channel on his wrist-device. “Sage, send all backup power to the escape pods… Do you copy that, daughter?” He waited… Then started coughing through his panic, “Daughter, Sage? Do you-” He had to stop to cough terribly, “Copy me? Sage? Saaaggee???”
Being dragged into an emergency pod by Metal Sonic’s power, Cubot and Orbot began to launch it as he fought, “No! No… Not again! I thought I lost her once, I won’t have that happen again!” He finally got a massive hand out of Metal Sonic’s grip, reaching back towards the now falling apart Fortress. “It’s Sonic! He’s stolen her! He must have packed her away through Tails or something! Sage! SAGGGGEE!!!”
The pod closed… and blasted out as the fortress came tumbling down…
Back with Sonic, he threw up a fist, proud of his efforts. “Woohoo! Down it goes, Egghead!” He mimicked the sounds with his mouth, before taking out his Miles-Electric. “Hey, gang! I know you’re all busy and off on your own adventures or epic quests! But I’m leaving his video message to let you know I’m doing good, no need to worry!” He also held the Miles-Electric to look behind him while he ran, “Eggman’s taken care of. It’ll take him weeks to repair that trash! Smell ya salmonella later!”
When he clicked the device to send the message out, he slowed down and sighed, “Whooo…” Coming to a halt and clicking a few buttons.
“... Nothing.” He looked just as disheartened as when Sage felt she couldn’t communicate with her robotic family…
He looked up at the sky, “Everyone… I hope you’re doing alright.”
She could see through the screen his own loneliness… and related too well with that feeling…
“Be not dismayed, Sonic The Hedgehog.”
“Huh?”
Sonic looked down at the device, seeing a strange logo with differing colors of data glitches from red to blue.
He freaked out as he dropped the device, and rising from it, Sage materialized. “Hehe, did you miss me?” She gave him a neutral stance, but smiled to show she was playing with him.
“You… Did Eggman hack my gear?” Sonic looked a bit worried, but Sage quickly shook her head
“It is safe.” she reassured him.
He sighs in relief, “Oh, phew… Wait, why aren’t you back with Eggman’s goonies?” He pointed to her, then threw a thumb back to Eggman’s new garbage dump.
“Hmm… It’s not important to tell you that information.” She teased him, reminding him of their time back in the corrupted Cyber Space frontier.
Sonic shook his head, but laughed. “Alright, you got me. What do I need to know?”
She giggles into her the back of her hand, “That it’s not right for the hero to be alone… My calculations conclude that that’s unacceptable.”
He smiled at her reasoning.
“That sounds like good empirical proof to me.” He folded his arms, playing back with her, since that’s what she would ask for all the time.
“I understand if it’s a bit illogical…” She admitted, “But my data states you are usually always found in great company…”
“Oh? And are you that new ‘great company’, Sage?” He threw out another finger to her, but this one had a bit of flare to it, pivoting his body slightly and lowering his eyes, he flipped his pointer finger to the back of it. In response, Sage–having to remain in the direction the screen on the Miles-Electric was facing, nodded cheerfully at his returning banter.
“Then it is settled. I shall accompany you for the cause of the Eggman Empire’s further data research on our greatest enemy.” Her smile was infectious, and Sonic couldn’t help but be thankful.
“Oh, ho? You sure about that, Sage?” He teased, “Last time you tried to calculate my results, I blew them all sky high!” He threw out a hand and she nodded.
“Yes! I’m most excited-” She then shook her head, having gotten too into her own personal reasons again, unbundling her fists by her sides, “I-I mean… glad you are willing to conduct more… e-experiments of your ‘daring feats’ as you call them.”
“Perfect.” Sonic narrowed his eyes, “First, try and calculate this!” He picked up the Miles-Electric, and took her to see the sights of the world…
“Your movements are impeccable.” She later stated, sitting with him as they watched a festival of lights happening, seeing the balloons and lanterns rise into the sky on a distant hill… “You're swift but able to reflex fast enough to avoid dangerous obstacles during high speeds… But you act so leisurely while conducting yourself to be at such a fast frequency between sound and light… I must admit, even the mach speed comparisons of modern human technology would fail to fully see the limits of your capabilities,... Sonic.” She looked over to smile at him, before seeing something was wrong.
“Sonic? Have I… Spoken too frequently?” She looked down, worried that it was like Orbot said… “Am I… disturbing your peace and quiet?”
“... I have to admit, I’m not used to this.” Sonic’s voice turned a bit serious, and her colors returned to red and black…
“... I’m used to Amy’s laughter… Tails’s rambling about something he just learned about… Knuckles being loud and wanting to challenge me to do something other than laze about…” He put his hands behind his head and leaned back, “Don’t get me wrong… I like the quiet… I like the peaceful… But this kind of quiet and peaceful..? Not so much.”
Sage, realizing it wasn’t her, looked back to Sonic. “My earlier analyses of you states you were once a loner. Has that time truly passed?” Her question made him chuckle.
“Well,” He smacked his lips, “Everyone’s on their own ‘personal journeys’, you know? I don’t want to get in their way…”
She thought about how she was ‘bothering’ her brothers at work… and seemed to understand what Sonic was trying to convey.
“They’ve gone off… and I’m proud of them… They’re growing up, Sage, and I… I still…”
“Feel… like you need them?”
He looked back to her.
“Like… You’re still wanting… to play games, hear more stories, show the outside world to them, fight more enemies… you crave more leisure time with them… than being alone anymore?”
“... I hate growing up.” He shrugged with his arms, “But it’s not something I can control.” He shook his head, “So why worry?” He looked to her with a returning smile, seeing she connected to something deep and profound in him.
“You crave adventure and freedom at your own pace and choice, too, don’t ya?” He held up a hand to her.
She looked to her own, remembering what Orbot said yet again… “We cannot touch.” She admitted, putting her hand through his own.
“I know,” He leaned up and–much like what happened with Tails–tried to make it look like they were locking hands together in a sign of friendship and strength in that bond.
“Doesn’t mean we can’t try.”
They laughed together, “Still beating your predictions of me, eh?” He grinned widely.
“Hehe, you are–truly–an anomaly, but… I enjoy that you can do the impossible.” She nodded, “And grateful!”
“You too, Sage.”
She looked astonished from hearing that, tearing up.
“... You do the impossible for those around you, too. I know you can, I’ve seen it happen.”
“... Sonic…”
“You’re a hero, too. Even if we are on opposite sides of things. I know you’re not a bad guy, Sage.”
She looked away from him, dropping her hand down.
“You… Continue to surprise me… Sonic The Hedgehog.”
Then, the wind picked up as though a helicopter passing by, but instead, it was right above them.
The two looked up as Sonic blocked with an arm the blades of grass and debris of dirt clods trying to hurt his eyes.
“What’s going on?” He exclaimed.
“WHOHOHOO! You think you can just steal my daughter for an evening and get away with it!? I knew you were a teenager, Sonic, but this is beneath even you!”
“Eggman, please! Control yourself!”
Orbot’s worried voice and Eggman’s odd sentence structure had both the attention and alarm of Sonic and Sage.
“Father!” She cried out, as Sonic shrugged up at the large airship.
“All we did was hold hands, Eggman. Tsk, tsk. You shouldn’t hole your precious daughter up from enjoying more the splendors of life, Egghead!” He winked, cockily, and wiggled a pointer finger up at him.
“THE NERVE-!” Eggman roared from his speakers above, “If it weren’t for Cubot and Orbot holding me back, I’d come down there right now–SONIC–and beat the ever-living pulp out of you!!!”
Sonic snickered into his hand, “Someone’s protective.” He looked to Sage, “See that? They’re are people that miss your company, too.”
She nodded, “More than just coffee and management, I suppose.” She was so happy to hear that, her colors returned to white and green.
“FIIIRREEE!!” Eggman cried out, as missiles launched from the large airship.
Flying upwards, Sage holds out her arms apart, as though to protect and boldly stand before Eggman in front of Sonic.
“HOLD, HOLD!” Eggman cried out, as the missiles suddenly fizzled and shook in the air, wiggling about before changing trajectory and firing into the trees.
Due to the festival, most people thought the fires were part of the show, but Sonic quickly ran around to ‘suffocate’ the fires so they didn’t spread to the peaceful town.
“Father, I only left to deduce more about Sonic.”
“Oh, woe is me, you deceived me!?”
Sonic played along, being dramatic.
“Sage, how could you~”
He gripped his chest, falling to his knees as Eggman raised an eyebrow.
“Eh? Is that true?”
He gripped the mic, pulling it closer to his large mouth as he hollered through it.
“Your telling me you WEREN’T fraternizing with the enemy!?”
“Of course not, Father. He’s an inferior lifeform. We may respect him, but he is not one of our glorious metallic and digital empire.”
She put a hand to her heart, then turned to look back at Sonic and wink at him.
He winked back, too.
He then covered his eyes with his arm draped over his muzzle, and hit the ground. He laid down and threw a small tantrum.
“Whaa, whaa! I’ve been tricked! Bambozzled! How could you do this to me, Eggman? Use a cute girl like your daughter to make me feel special, Whaa! Whaa! I’ll never get over this!”
Eggman suddenly rose up.
“I can’t tell if I should be beaming with pride or feeling suspiciously like I’m being mocked…”
Orbot and Cubot looked to each other, obviously knowing that they were deceiving Eggman.
“Alright, alright, you two. Man up, Sonic. She’s just a child.”
He opened what looked like an electric wand with multiple hoops around it.
“Come on, Sage. It’s time to go home!”
Sage looks to Sonic, who gives her a sweet wave while leaning his head on his other hand.
She waves back, “As the saying goes,” She begins.
“Long time till I see you again.”
“... That’s-... Ah-ha. Right. Till we meet again.”
Sonic just nodded, thinking it was cute.
She zoomed her data up to connect with Eggman’s ship, and now that his daughter was safely returned, began to open fire on Sonic, who enjoyed taking down his airship. He smacked his butt and stuck out his tongue, lowering an eyelid with his finger to mock his attempt at trying to get him again.
Once at their far away ‘other’ base, since Eggman had so many–this being a obviously temporary station–Sage politely asked, “Father, might I continue my research on Sonic The Hedgehog another time?”
Reluctantly, he agrees, realizing she’s made a friend.
However… He sicks Metal Sonic to tag along, “Keep an eye on her… And see if you can get close to Sonic, give him a good swipe if he tries anything funny! Exterminate him if he dares to get sweet on my innocent daughter!”
Metal Sonic looks a bit annoyed, but goes off, as Orbot and Cubot joke that he’s allowing his daughter to go on a ‘date’. Haha!

Just realized I've been writing for 22 years and only NOW decided to have burn out, lose confidence, and dwindle in some passion while gaining favor for other hobbies... Maybe I'm allowed to write trash for a while that makes me happy without worrying about the masses I usually write for? Lolol new perspective, everybody x'D it makes a difference!
